“The sandwich is just perfect! The Italian sandwich is a must try!I wish it came with a pickle without having to pay an extra $1 for it. The sandwich is pretty pricey to come without any pickles.Black sesame dessert was also good but it would have been so much better if it was warm or fresh. Very hard to cut through.“

“As part of a family date day we stopped by the Morrison on our way back from Griffith Observatory. As usual, it didn't disappoint. It was still happy hour which was indeed a plus.WILLIAM was our server. He was very nice and friendly. He checked on us numerous times. Enough that we knew were taken of but not too much that he interfered with our lunch.I ordered 1903 lagger and my wife ordered the "Spring Fling". Her drink wasn't loaded but I could definitely taste the alcohol. Drinks were tasty and paired well with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and turkey burger. We swapped the regular fries with sweet potato fries. We didn't know it when he ordered but they were garlic fries and let me tell you they were... Pretty good! My wife had to leave her regular fries to steal my sweet potatoes. My daughter had the kids meal burger sliders on Hawaiian bread. The serving of fries was NOT kid size. She was over the moon... She loves fries. We ordered dessert, cookies and ice cream. My daughter thought she was in heaven. I didn't partake bc I had had too many garlic fries but they both seemed to enjoy them.Needless to say we'll be back again sometime soon.In the meantime - if you're looking for a yummy meal in a cool ambiance, look no further and stop by the Morrison (no, I was not in any way compensated for this review!)Oh and parking is not the best (small parking lot) but easy to find parking in the street. Be patient and believe me it is worth the wait!!“

“Service was fantastic and the wait wasn't too long at all!! I got the chopped cheese sandwich, fries, & the black sesame oat milk espresso beverage. Chopped cheese - this was delicious!! The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! I think I'd only get the chopped cheese again if I was in a real want for a fast food cheeseburger feeling.“

“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“

“The pizza was so good! Extra thin crispy crust, a mild tomato sauce, and delicious mozzarella. We got the four meat, and it was so savory and delicious. Highly recommend! For two moderately hungry people, one pizza is the perfect size to share.“

“This was a delicious! We had about 6 dishes and we couldn't agree which was the best. The tea leaf salad was perfect. I loved the stream bean with palartha (bread). They must make the tofu in house because it was magical, smooth and delicious. Everything was flavored to perfection and the service was fantastic. I am a vegetarian and they were very accommodating about leaving fish sauce out of the dishes. It felt like being at a family friend's house.“

“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“Every time we come here the food and service are excellent, wonderful chicken and shish kebabs...hummus is creamy, to die for, the pita is wonderfully grilled to perfection and the right amount of crispy and soft. The seasoning is perfect, the portions are amazing you will not go home hungry! we come here often and the wait staff are always amazing, very nice and helpful. theres a lot of Mediterranean and Armenian places here in Glendale but this place should definitely be on your radar if you're looking for a great place just beyond the hustle of downtown Glendale.“

“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“

“Food - delicious, fresh, healthy, and tasty. Ordered Mezze Lamb Platter, Bocquerones Toast (avocado toast on sourdough bread topped with a hot sauce and anchovies) So Good, must get! - and a shepherd's salad with Bulgarian Sheep Feta. Anchovy was not fishy at all. If I was eating blindfolded, I would not have guessed the toast had anchovies. My new go-to! Service was helpful. We called our order ahead for pickup. Host was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance - beautiful afternoon, great So Cal weather, outside seating, friendly staff and beat lunch crowd. Delicious food. What more can you ask for!“

“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“

“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“

“Nice vibes, convenient location with easy parking, beautiful decor. Service was lacking, but understand there is a labor shortage right now, perhaps that's to blame here. “This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.“

“One of my favorite places to go. The food is always delicious and flavorful. Favorites have been the chimichurri grilled steak and the grilled chicken club sandwich. But I feel like everything on the menu is great. They offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten, or just protein options. Service is has been good, workers are always polite. Shout out to Daniel at the cashier and Abraham. The ambiance is always very chill. Even during peak rush hours. They have patio seating, inside dining, or take out.“

“Pizza did not disappoint. Ordered through delivery app. Pizza arrived within a reasonable time. Pizza was still hot and I'd have to say, perfectly cooked and delicious. I am deducting one star solely based on the pizza being delivered with no safety seal / sticker on the box. I genuinely hope they implement this soon. “We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time. All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. We'll be back agin and again as long as they're here.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid's menu, decent portion.“

“Wax Paper Chinatown brings the same excellent sandwiches that you can get in Frogtown to a different part of LA. I usually go to the Frogtown location if I'm craving one of their sandwiches, but if I'm nearby or want a sandwich only offered on the Chinatown menu, then I order from here. There's some seating in the shared hallway area if you decide to dine in, and I've always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The Garth Trinidad is one of my favorite turkey sandwiches, combining a slightly spicy cabbage slaw with roasted turkey and aioli. Just writing about this sandwich makes me think I'm quite overdue for a Wax Paper order!“

“Small operation with BIG taste! We usually drive 20-30 minutes to Thai Town, but wanted to stay local. Thai Touch had the best reviews in the area, and after trying it, I can see why. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, with 5-6 tables and probably a capacity of sitting maybe 13-15 people at a time. Our party of 2 came on a Saturday at 6pm and there was no wait. There's a parking lot. They were busy with delivery orders though. The food was really, really good. We'd recommend the mango fish, pineapple curry, and pad thai. We'll be back to try the mango sticky rice. Pro-tip if you've read this far, the Yelp check in deal when dining in person is 25% off your order. That's probably the best check in deal I've ever seen on Yelp. You're welcome ;)“

“I've been here twice and both times I enjoyed it . Everything here is tasty, the only thing I have problem with is that their food is too oily. I have tried a lot of things here , including appetizers and sides. My fav thing is their breaded chicken , and the side of carrots. I liked the calamari too. Their service is kind of mediocre but it does the job . I will try their other items :)“

“I'm so excited to have stumbled upon Holy Grounds while looking for a cafe on Google Maps! Holy Grounds is definitely a hidden gem on an otherwise lengthy street. If you enjoy cars zooming by for white noise, then this spot is perfect for you! What makes it amazing is that parking is plentiful, and there is a two hour limit - perfect for a quick work / study break. I ordered their iced latte, and by the first sip I knew this would be a good day. Unlike other espressos that I've tried ,the ones served at Holy Grounds are lighter, and the milk gives it a perfect creamy texture. If you're into beans that are not too strong but still pack a hint, I highly recommend their iced latte. There are also a variety of snacks and food available for purchase, and most of the space showcases artwork and merchandise from small businesses. Although it's a bit out of the way to drive to, I can see myself coming back whenever I'm in the area just for the ambiance... though beware that there isn't too much indoor seating - two spots at a bar is all that I saw.“

“It's so good. I had the French toast because I always get Mexican - enchiladas or chilaquiles - so wanted to change it up and it was so custardy, delicious, bathed with strawberries and bananas. I also want to support Gloria's and go against an unfair boycott of this wonderful local restaurant.“

“On a Sunday afternoon in March, my sister wanted to try the Japanese pancakes so came here for lunch. We parked in front on the street. Inside interior looks nice with tables and cute stuff at the counter. The staff seem nice and we got seated right away. The menu was easy to read so I ordered gyudon beef with rice and my sister ordered the original soufflé pancakes. My dish came first and everything was really good. Then the 3 pieces of pancakes arrived and it was fluffy and light after I took a bite. Next time I will try other items. I hope they get more business.“

“The sandwiches are to die for. They use the freshest ingredients and it feels as though the sandwiches are made with love. I love eating a Banh Mi and although their interpretation is not traditional. It is really a home run and worth a try. I had trouble paying as my Apple Pay wasn't working. The guy working the register was so kind to me and said they can give one free sandwich per a day to those in need or whatever. It was my lucky night. I don't like to owe or receive hand outs. I returned with cash the next day I worked in that area. I offered to pay for the sandwich and he remembered me, but they couldn't accept the money because it would affect the till. I was insisting to give them the money to make it right. So the manager said that I could put it in the tip jar if I'd like and that's what I did. I'm not looking for praise or anything. This is what happened. I was really touched by their kindness and generosity. I will be sure to patronize this restaurant again and bring my wallet next time in case I mess up using Apple Pay again“
