“I think I am addicted to their iced green tea with boba. I have forgotten how much I love it until I got it recently at Yi Fang. Yi Fang is a Taiwanese Boba and Fruit Tea chain that recently opened an Arcadia location in the Burlington Coat Factory and Pavilion's shopping plaza. I am very happy that Yi Fang chose to open one here. Ever since I had their boba in Berkeley in 2019, I have been longing for an Yi Fang close by. Their boba is warm and chewy. If you don't want to wait, I recommend you order online first. There are happy hour promotions when the drinks are 15% when you order online. I haven't seen the promotions at the in store kiosk. They may be there too. The ambiance is clean and presents an old Taiwan vibe. There are no tables inside and only one bench to sit while you are waiting for your drinks So this is more of a grab and go place. I did see desserts on their menu and can't wait to try them next time!“

“I've been here twice before when it first opened, and both times I thought it was too salty! So I never went there again.I stopped by for lunch today because I was nearby, and I didn’t expect that the food tasted just right! The service is also very good! I asked the lady at the counter if there had been a new boss? She said no; but the taste had been adjusted! I’m really happy that there are so many new options for eating pasta here.“

Taiwanese Sausage Rice

“With its understated atmosphere and compact tables, this gem invites diners on a culinary journey through Taiwan, delivering an authentic experience from start to finish. When we walked into La Sin Bala, the cozy environment immediately caught our eye. With limited seating and neatly arranged tables, our anticipation was at its peak as we perused the menu, eager to sample a selection of Taiwanese delicacies. Our culinary exploration begins with the typical rice, elegantly presented in the style of a traditional Taiwanese bento. Every bite of tender and juicy pork paired with fragrant rice made us feel like we were in a buffet restaurant in Taipei.Next we had the oyster omelette, a dish that really stole the show. Egg rolls are full of Taiwan's unique flavor, a famous night market snack, harmoniously blending plump oysters with delicious eggs and indispensable vegetables, a perfect match with aromatic spices. Super authentic! A must order meal that left us wanting more with every bite.We also indulged in chicken rolls accompanied by dipping sauce and a serving of shiitake mushroom and chicken soup, both delivering simple yet gratifying flavors. These simple yet satisfying dishes are the perfect end to our culinary journey, leaving us feeling nourished and satisfied.Of note, the highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the oyster omelette, a dish that encapsulates the essence of Taiwanese cuisine. Its authentic flavors and affordable prices highlight La Sin Bala, making it one of the must-go places for food lovers looking for a taste of Taiwan.“

“Au is one of my to go boba places whenever I'm craving boba. I've been to this location many times since college. There are tables outside in front of the store which is great for those late night hangouts. I always get the same drinks there and the consistency is the same. My go to drinks are the oolong milk tea and passion fruit green tea. Don't forget to add the pink boba, it's aesthetically cute and it's chewy. I also forget to mention, they also sell snacks as well. A perfect hangout spot with boba and food.“

“I got a tomato based pot and really enjoyed how customizable the hotpot is. Despite the name, my friends and I all didn't feel like our hotpots were particularly spicy (the spice is diy via the sauce station). Fresh veggies, good variety, decent price for value. If you are on an allium free diet, their tomato broth does not have onion / garlic which is a plus!“

“This place is a gem. They have very affordable lunch sets, snacks and drinks. It is next to a 99 cents store so there's ample amount of parking. The only negative is that it's one of those restaurants that tries to avoid paying taxes to the government so they only accept cash and Zelle payments.“

Fresh Delicious Bubble Tea • $

“We had Dinner with the family last night here. We ordered their bento meals, and they were all delicious. While waiting for our food, they were kind enough to allow us to sample some Asian snack delicacies like beef jerky, dried mangoes, and pork floss, which, mind you, taste fresh and homemade compared with store-bought. We ended up buying a pound of tasty beef jerky and pork floss. We also loved the ambiance as it was casual, and everyone was friendly at the store. My husband and I agreed that it reminded us of the street food served at Raohe night market. This hidden gem will be our go-to place for Taiwanese food and snacks.“

“There are a few Jazz Cat Restaurants in SoCal (perhaps 3), and this is one of them. The food is standard hot pot fare. They offer a wide variety of soup bases to choose from, and some are tasty, but they do not refill the Shabu Shabu with the soup base. Instead, they use a clear broth to refill, which significantly dilutes the soup base and diminishes the taste. Keep in mind the portions here are on the smaller side both for the meats and the veggies. Additionally, there are not a lot of different types of veggies. The service here is a bit slow and a bit less friendly, especially compared to that of the service in City of Industry. It can be hard to flag down staff depending on where you're sitting. The restaurant has an entrance from the street side and from the parking lot. However, the street-side entrance is locked and draped with curtains (presumably to block off the afternoon sun).“

“Came here to try the liuzhou rice noodles so this review is limited to that, not their hotpot items. The noodle was tasty, especially with the chili oil, although some might not think it's the most authentic version. There are plenty of toppings and the bowl was quite filling.I like my noodle soup steaming hot and thought it could be improved a bit. They do have an induction stove on the table for hotpot and keeping your bowl warm. I just didn't want to wait while the noodle is soaking in the soup already. An an entry level 螺蛳粉 fan, it was still a very decent lunch.“

“I don't know why this place has such bad reviews! Boiling point at every location I've been to (Arcadia, San Gabriel, Rowland Heights and Irvine) have all tastes the same. I usually get their beef or lamb with noodles. Their portions are mostly veggies so this place isn't the best for meat lovers but I still think it's good! The flavor is unique and different from traditional hot pot. Their garlic soy sauce is addicting! If your soup evaporates or you finish a lot of it, they'll give you more soup for free! At the end of the meal they give you this lemon jelly that is refreshing! Come during lunch and they'll give you free black or green tea :)“
