“This is a genuine restaurant. Its interior is old yet unworn & beautiful. A pianist plays tasteful music. The workers have a respecful demeanor. This stablishment is protected by both a doorman and a bookeeper, outside and inside in said order. The food is outstanding and delicate.Perfect for formal dates and gatherings.“
“Malama Pono has been my favourite restaurant in the neighborhood since 2021. I have always enjoyed my time here. Wonderful food and staff! BEST crispy rice in town!! Come here and you will not be disappointed. I’ve brought different people here and they all loved it. Everything on the menu is delicious.“
“Wow, wow, wow! From the minute we were greeted by the doorman and we entered the beautiful space, we knew we were in for a treat. And in the VALLEY, no less! What a gem. The nightclub vibe and attention to detail were what we noticed first. We really appreciated the seamless, knowledgable, and friendly attentiveness of the waitstaff. The music was spot-on. We wish the sets could've been a little longer but I'm sure there's a reason they weren't. Because it feels there is a reason for EVERYTHING here. The cocktails were delicious and perfectly balanced (Mezcal Negroni and Toluca Sunrise). And the food! Milk buns are a must. I could've made a meal of the roasted corn - creamy, flavorful deliciousness. Lamb pasta, crushed potato and the New York were perfect. A second bread option would be nice to eat with the mains. Wish we'd saved room for dessert! Next time. Because there will DEFINITELY be a next time.“
“Leona's was AMAZING. The food was such a fun experience and every dish felt like a surprise! Our waitress (if only I could remember her name) was so nice and helpful when it came to navigating the menu, the bartender even noticed she was busy and took our drink orders, and the food runners made it extra special by singing happy birthday to my husband hahahaha thank you everyone. 100/10 will come here for every date night.“
“I moved here a few months ago and found this spot searching for pasta. I absolutely love it. It’s now my fourth or fifth time & I cannot get enough. The service is SUPERB (Emily is lovely) and the food is to die for, I will always come back for more! (Sorry the photo is dark, but the arabiatta is amazing)“
“Most excellent experience and food was perfect. We had the duck eggrolls and the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms as starters, both had a delish specialty drink. I had the house burger with 3 different meats ground in including wagyu. Was done perfectly med rare. No room for dessert this time. Will def go back. Service was nice, we sat at the bar. All in all a great experience.“
“We are self recognized sushi snobs and this is our new go to place. They have rolls similar to what we find at Got Sushi in Northridge but for a better price. The quality is right up there with other top notch places. The service is on point. It's a small place so just one waitress when we've gone, but she is always on top of everything and the food comes out of the open kitchen quickly.“
“My wife and I came by here for a family get together and had a blast. The food was absolutely delicious. We love sides and had the Mac & cheese, collard greens and my favorite, the black eyed peas and rice aka The Rolling Johns. The owners really make the place special, and we were fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with one of the owners Chef. You can feel the love in the food and the building. Hands down the best soul food I’ve had in Los Angeles.“
“The food was so good that I totally forgot to take a picture. We stopped by around 8 pm on a Friday night, there was no line and we got seated pretty fast, service was friendly and phenomenal. The ambiance was nice and neat, I like the decoration. We ordered muscles and king crabs and it was so good as we requested mild and it came out pretty good. I highly recommend this new place.“
“This was our first time at this restaurant and it was very good. There was a wide variety of items on the menu, and it was difficult to choose because everything sounded so good. We decided on the enchiladas Suizas & quesadilla Lito with chicken, which were delicious. Our server was very friendly & attentiveand made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.“
“I'm so happy to have found this gem of a restaurant! The owner greeted me by name as we walked in the door-she was so sweet (her name is Lily). We loved everything we ordered (the grilled fish, the sample platter, the rice dish). We look forward to our next dining experience very soon. Go try it! You won't be disappointed.“
“Tel Aviv Fish Grill is such a great spot located in Tarzana. They specialize in serving fresh and flavorful Mediterranean-style seafood and breakfast dishes. My favorites are their shakshuka and the fried fish. The atmosphere at Tel Aviv Fish Grill is casual and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great dining experience. They also have outdoor seating available. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine and seafood, I highly recommend checking out Tel Aviv Fish Grill.“
“Just passed through Vietnam, craving Asian food.Come try the Thai restaurant near your houseOh what a surprise, so deliciousAuthentic crab fried riceAuthentic sour hot potOkay papaya saladPadthai is a bit salty, please add a squeeze of lemon for ten points mmmmWill come back!!!“
“Amazing!I had the avocado cucumber roll. My husband had the dragon roll (Decorated like an actual dragon! Omg! Art! He wouldn't let me take a pic!) and futomaki roll. The service was polite and informed and quick. No wait for a table on a Saturday night!Delicious. Must try!Wonderful beer and alcohol selection. We had three beers.Loved the music and ambiance. It was quiet and comfortable/cozy after a long day.Thank you for the lovely meal .“
“Love love love Cajun/Creole food! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem in my neck of the woods, and am happy to report that Mardi Gras Tuesday will be my go-to Cajun/Creole joint for the foreseeable future. Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. Can't wait to go back!“
“This place is absolutely delicious. The service was great we got seated right away and our waiter who seemed like the owner as well did an amazing job giving us the best customer service. The food is some of the best Salvadorian food I've had in a restaurant, definitely tastes more homemade which I love. I definitely recommend this spot and I hope to be back soon!“
“Came here for some fresh seafood. You can't go wrong by coming here because the shoppe provides high quality products. It's a tiny gem of Noho. I got myself some scallops and shrimp. So worth it. It may be a bit pricey, but it's worth it for high quality and fresh products. It's a gorgeous little shoppe you don't want to miss.“
“It was my daughter's bday celebration. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the hostess greeted my daughter with Happy Birthday. The lobster bites are to die for. They brought my daughter a bday sundae with a candle. It was a wonderful evening.“
“It was all really good. We got seated in a booth. The waitress gave us the option to hear her spiel about the drink menu, so we were able to skip that. The food was great. I had the Carolina Pulled Pork sw. It was too much for me to eat it all, but I got the rest takeaway and ate it later. The atmosphere was dark like a good BBQ place. ?Vegetarian options: My friend had the veggie burger and she ate it all and said it was good. It had black beans in it, maybe a little crumbly but still yummy.“
“This is a hole in the wall restaurant that seems to be a neighborhood favorite. There are not many tables inside, but they have a lot of covered seating outside behind the restaurant. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location.“
“Honestly probably the best mariscos I’ve had! I love the aguachile! The mariscos pieces are always plump and big, they really don’t skimp out on it. The owner is so friendly and willing to help you decide what to get based on what you like. The vibe is really chill with music always playing and tables to sit and eat at. Such a fun vibe. But the best thing about this place is probably the spicy red sauce. It goes good on everything! Seriously the star of the place, I crave it randomly all the time. Can’t recommend more!“
“Customer service alone brings this place to 5 stars. The owner is a sweetheart and checked in on us throughout dinner and gave us the best recommendations. The food was incredibly tasty, I had the vegetable biryani and vegetable samosa and both were so good. The food came out quickly and tasted fresh. The place is clean and the decor is so cute. Excited to come back and try more food!“
“Great dining experience!!! Great tasting food, we had sea bass with the shrimp skewers, we loved the food. Sides of zucchini, rice & slaw were great. Fantastic service by Adela and Danny. Both were very friendly and very helpful!!! Thank you both. Will be back soon.“
“Hands down best burrito(American style) in the valley. The soup is a hidden gem as well, I would say it is one of the best things on the menu, no matter what you get atleast get it on the side. Owner is also very nice, polite and professional to everyone. This place is small but he made sure that everyone was taken care of personally and had everything they needed and keeps the place running on a tight ship. Worth a try no matter what.“
“We took my little brother from out of town to this place and enjoyed it. Immensely the atmosphere was very casual and we had a great time. The food was delicious and we got it very quickly. The staff was very attentive.Kid-friendliness: Our eight-year-old had a blast“
“I'm so happy we found this place. Love this style of Mexican restaurants. Staff was so friendly as soon as we arrived, and I loved the look and feel of this classic style that is well kept. We had steak and shrimp fajitas, shrimp mole enchiladas, Fiesta platter and pina coladas, all so delicious! Clean, friendly staff, great service, good prices, and portions. Plenty of parking, would recommend ?!“
“Excellent Customer service! Very friendly and welcoming staff. They actually care and want to make sure their customers are satisfied. So if you need any accommodations just ask them ! Birria and chicken shredded tacos juicy and full of flavor and they have homemade tortillas which are delicious . 10/10 highly recommend ?❤️“
“I was visiting Santa Clarita for 3 days. Ended coming here for two dinners and one breakfast. Food is fresh, delicious, and authentic. The service is outstanding. Great family owned restaurant. Prices are very fair for what you get. If I’m ever back in Santa Clarita this is the only place I’ll be going to eat.“
“Food was pretty good and well seasoned. Chick was awesome, brisket was good but maybe a little thin, links were good, pork ribs were maybe on the dryer side then use to but still good. Cornbread was on point, and cold Mac taste a little store bought.“
“I didn't know this was going to have THIS many vegan options. Half the menu is vegan & they have a separate vegan menu so it's easy. You can basically get anything and they have like 6 vegan meat options. My favorites are the Flautas, Wet Burrito, Nachos & Enchilada combo. This place needs to be talked about more lol Updated from previous review on 2024-02-11“
“I have been to Gourmet City 3 times in 5 months and each time I discover more culinary delights I haven't tried previously. Come here hungry and ready to enjoy a wide variety of Asian foods, seafood, desserts and salads. Don't forget the freshly made sushi all day long, and the grand finale..... chocolate fountain!“
“I was going somewhere else but the wait was too long and I am glad it was, because that's how I found this place. Way cheaper than other Cajun around here. Tastier, great service, beautiful decoration, TV and great music. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.“
“Bff and I made a long drive to this place to try the seafood parrillada which includes no rice just like 6 tortillas. The food was good, the fry fish was one of the best! The restaurant is very small, inside a small plaza, parking can get hard to find. Prices vary from average $12 to $120. Complimentary chips and salsa.“
“Parking is not an issue. Staff is very kind and helpful. Prices and portions are fair. Specials available at this fast casual and cozy spot. They also have deals depending on the day with their tacos. Menu has a good variety. Free chips and a delicious salsa when you check in on Yelp.“
“We were visiting from out of town and had Easter brunch. It was phenomenal! The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was old school and charming with the ambiance of Hollywood nostalgia, the champagne was flowing, and the food was exceptional. It was an entire room of food choices, one table after another. I wish I would’ve been in town longer to have dinner there also. Excellent choice!“

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!“
“This place opened up sometime a while ago. I finally decided to give it a try. I like eating my poke bowls and really like açaí bowls which is what I originally tried “açaí bowl” which I must say was phenomenal, prob the best I’ve tried and a decent portion for the $14 they charge. The poke bowl was good but this is my go to for açaí bowls. Definitely recommend this place to anyone local“
“My new go to pokey place! I love that they have kelp noodles, and you can order online with toast and get rewards. Glad one is closer to where I live and I don't have to drive to Northridge for the other location. I'm very happy with my online orders here thus far. they even ran out of a scallops and added an extra scoop of salmon in place- very happy that they did that. Food is always fresh and yummy!“
“Everything is very delicious, the food is Mazatlan Sinaloa style, we always buy the breaded sushi, Aguachile Negro Tacos Gobernador and the Empanadas, all very delicious. The owners are very friendly and take care of you as it should be. 100% “
“Love this place. For the price of the food, mostly they sell fish items are great. Teste of the food, you can go wrong. Nice and clean places. Self order is available. Nice place for family dining. I would strongly recommend visiting this place and enjoying the fish if you love fish.“
“If you are in the area and want great tasting Mexican food, I highly recommend Candilejas! I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time visiting and hadn't heard of this restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the campechana and a michelada. I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa as the chips came out nice and warm each time. I definitely plan to stop by again.“
“This place is very unique! I had a Tri Tip Sandwich...the meat was Chopped. I wasn't expecting that, but it was Good! Richard M was very kind and took the time to explain the Variety of the Menu. I must return to try more from the Menu!“
“Yes, five stars in service And food goes out to this family and locally owned restaurant my first time here and I will continue to make the long drive whenever I’m craving authentic Nayarit style seafood or American food my son doesn’t like seafood I was very fortunate and surprised when my son pick something out of his menu, which was Asada nachos love them I will definitely be coming back and I encourage each and every one of you to support your local small businesses and help this dedicated family grow you will not be disappointed * I encourage everyone to go try their empanadas. I had to get an order to go. There were two delicious to leave them behind.Vegetarian options: Their menus are very loaded and with everything made fresh to order I personally don’t eat pork or meat, only seafood and poultry, but they could definitely whip something up for anybody’s diet“
“UDATE:Since the pandemic they pretty much had stopped being a restaurant, on top of being a great coffee spot and the best seafood place in LA (in my opinion). I can't tell you how much I miss all the amazing food I used to get there, including, of course, my favorite clam chowder ANYWHERE.But now, they are serving really incredible hand rolls for lunch and dinner four or five days a week (I can't remember exactly)But all I can say after scarfing down about 9 of their amazing hand rolls is: move over Kazu Nori. For $32 you get 6 delicious hand rolls. An incredible deal for the quality of the seafood.Great fresh fish that's dry aged. I had the Black Cod with the Kale and Potatoes, which was excellent. But the "Clam Chowder" is the best I've had and I'm from New England, the heart of Chowder country, Cape Cod to be specific. This is the chowder I would make if i was a gourmet chef. I know a lot of people like a thick chowder with lots of potatoes, I'm not one of them. I think it takes away from that incredible clam flavor. They make it with a light broth, a touch of dairy, leeks, and about 20 whole clams. NO POTATOES. I can't tell you how hard it is to find a chowder with no potatoes, let alone no flour added to increase the thickness. I can't wait to go back to get this chowder. I ended the meal with a delicious homemade cookie and cold brewed oat milk latte. I'm really looking forward to trying their calamari, fish tacos, lobster roll, and oysters on the half shell. I might just have to go back tomorrow. So, I've been back a few times now and everything I've had is really amazing. I bought a lb. of their house smoked salmon to bring to a Super Bowl Party (Another great Pats win) and heated it at 360 for 5 minutes, like they told me to, and it was fantastic. I've also had their lobster rolls, which were very good, and the grilled shrimp which was excellent, and also the crudo, which was great, but the outstanding dish here, above all else, is the scallops. I can't wait to go back for them. This is now my go to seafood place. Everything I've had is worth going back for.“
“We were introduced to this Fish Grill a while ago and found the food and ambience amazing. So when our family from Boston came to visit we had to bring them here. They were super impressed with the food. The service was top notch. Service with a smile everywhere we turn. We had the Branzino and the Sea Bream. They start you out with some lovely condiments and humus. We also love their Pita Bread - nice and fluffy and oh so yummy. The grilled Eggplant was simply delicious. Our guest really enjoyed the food.“
“It was my first time here, although I'm allergic to everything from the sea except fish, which I only eat 3-4 times per year, I was able to find something that I could digest. The chicken tenders with lemon pepper fries are a must-have!! Coming from the Caribbean, the seasoning used for this dish is one I've never experienced. This plate can be ? so be careful!!!“
“EVERYTIME I come to eat here, the food and service is outstandingly amazing. It’s not only my go-to Thai spot because it’s close to my home, their food is high quality and fresh. Been going here for the past 5 years I’ve lived in NoHo. Best place to eat. AND GREAT PRICES TOO!! <3“
“This is one of the best restaurants we know of. Not only is the food fantastic, but the owners and staff are amazing people. They are very kind and considerate, and very willing to accommodate large groups, or an occasional special request, etc. We've had several larger groups events catered by them as well and they are terrific to work with about these. And let me mention again how good the food is! They have a big menu and we've never had a dish that didn't look and taste great. It's not just Chinese food but they have some other Asian dishes as well.“
“Amazing place, low prices, great food. You can buy it steaks, salmon, pork, or chicken either cooked or uncooked. It's a butcher shop that will cook it for you on the spot. So good. And a big assortment of fantastic side dishes. Tables to eat there or do take-out.“
“Excellent spot. We used Uber Eats and everything was packed well. We tried a few Hawaiian BBQ combos including the beef, bbq chicken, and crispy fish, as well as the shrimp fried rice. Everything was really tasty. I got 2 scoops of mac salad & 1 rice, and the sides were great as well. Fairly priced and good portions, too. Definitely recommended if you live in the area.“
