Richard greeted us warmly and guided us through his various brewing specialties. He offered us the chance to try some beers before we took a whole glass. We had a lot of fun and the whole range is absolutely recommendable. All the beers taste wonderful. By far the best of all the breweries we were able to visit in Bakersfield. Surprisingly, the quality of the food is authentically Thai and Chinese. Kee, the owner is a Chinese from Thailand and owns 3 branches in Las Vegas and other cities too. The service is excellent! and the facilities are very clean.”

There is roasted cheese & (separately) roasted pineapple that are both very good. A full bar of "salad bar" food. Isaiah was an amazing server (our favorite that came by). He made us laugh and went out of his way to help get us little things we enjoyed. We had 2 cocktails each and (if there were anything to conplain about) were not really strong. Highly recommend!

We were invited to STARS, a local small dinner-theater in old downtown Bakersfield to see the production of, In The Heights. Think Lin-Manuel Miranda from Hamilton. Wow! They have a newly decorated bar & lounge where the vibe is spot-on 1930s style. The theater itself has various levels w/linen covered dining tables & everyone has a great view of the stage. The dinner: green salad, dinner rolls & nice entrées + yummy desserts. We chose tri-tip & it was very good. The service was exceptional. The production, all local talent, the singing, dancing & the acting …they did NOT disappoint. Some stood out with exceptional talent. Lin-Manuel Miranda would’ve been very proud of this production. The city of Bakersfield should be very proud of this local gem & I’m sure they are. We are definitely returning as the upcoming shows look to be equally delightful & entertaining. Sadly, not many dinner theaters around anymore. The band was so smooth even though you know they’re there, the meshing of the show numbers & the music was seamless. “I want to share my recent experience at your restaurant. While I appreciate the food and great service from most of your staff, I encountered an issue that made our visit frustrating.
Our party of nine was told there was a 2.5-hour wait, so I asked the host to split our group—one table for the kids and one for the adults. I understood the tables might not be close, but I didn’t expect them to be at opposite ends of the restaurant. I noticed three empty booths near the kids’ table and politely asked if switching was possible.
I want to praise BJean for his professionalism and patience. He remained calm, listened, and worked to accommodate us. He truly provided excellent customer service. Our servers, including a young man named Abdiel, were also kind and attentive. Lauren, our server was amazing as well so kind and patient.
Unfortunately, another employee, who seemed to be a manager, was rude and dismissive. He made sarcastic remarks, saying, “You signed up for this. This is exactly why we don’t split tables,” and rolled his eyes. His tone was condescending, and he showed clear frustration instead of trying to help.
As someone who has worked in the service industry and now as a nurse, I understand the stress of high-pressure jobs. However, customers should never feel like an inconvenience for simply asking a reasonable question.
Thanks to BJean’s professionalism, we were accommodated, and I truly appreciate his efforts. However, this experience has made me hesitant to return during busy hours. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that BJean and Abdiel receive the recognition they deserve.

Tuesday had tacos for a Buck!! So I ordered some carne asada and el pastor. I also needed to try the rice and beans, they tell a lot about a business. We added two canned Pepsis and for under $15 fed both of us well. The asada tacos were perfection!! Melt in your mouth perfection, the produce was fresh, the salsa was dynamite, and I could have put down a dozen. El Pastor was delicious only dimmed by the excellence of the asada. Then the tell all… the rice and beans l… they were done by a perfectionist taught by a grandmother, or Abuela in this case. Whole pinto “pot” beans were seasoned to perfection and the rice was what I’ve been searching for since my favorite restaurant closed a few years back. If you haven’t tried this truck, Do It! After hearing the love coming from the cook as he described what things were, I’m coming back, going back, may never leave. There’s so much more I need to experience. I’ll keep you posted. Good no no, I take that back, excellent food!! Great prices! Lovely customer service!! Don’t miss out!!”

I last went on 2/18 in a group of 14 for a birthday and it was super irritating that the whole dining experience took approximately 3 hours. Our reservation was at 8:30pm and we left at almost 11:30pm. It took about 15 minutes from being sat to be approached by the server to order drinks. Those of us who ordered alcoholic drinks waited another 30 minutes or so for the drinks to come from the bar. Seems like the only way to get a quick drink is to actually sit at the bar. I’ve gone both In large groups or just with my partner and it seems that no matter what the service is just slow in general.”
