“Amazing shop, our favorite boba place and we come here weekly. The owner and staff are so friendly and always remember us. Our favorite drink is the Viva Mango it has plum flavoring and Tajin! The perfect salty/sweet flavoring, So good! I also recommend the Coconut Pandan. I always get 50% sweetness but my kids prefer full sweetness. All the drinks are very different, so if you try one that is not your favorite, visit again and try another. They are sure to have something you enjoy and you cannot beat the great customer service.”

Brunos Italian Kitchen 210 W Birch St, Brea Italian • $$

“Fresh pasta! Really good Italian food around the area with great flavor. Nice ambience! Got the short rib pasta and the shrimp and crab pasta. Great combo! Only thing is don’t get their tiramisu (it was the most average I have ever tasted…plus the owner said the alcohol is “cooked off” and completely safe to consume if you’re pregnant or if there are kids but you can clearly taste it. Go with another dessert option)”

They opened the kitchen early for us so that I could pick up the food earlier so that it could be ready in time for our corporate event at noon. The food was delicious. Everything was packed nicely. They even provided plenty of forks and napkins. Thank you so much!”

Olive Pit Grill - Brea 240 S Brea Blvd, Brea Mediterranean • $$

“We typically always tend to go there for my in-laws birthdays because they are so close together. We love Mediterranean food and this place really has very good food. They offer different sizes and selections of plates which is a great fit for all of us because we can share or we can get something small if we know we aren't going to finish it or get something larger and take it home to eat again later. The food is always fantastic. I've never had any real issues with it. It's one of my favorite places to go. It's always consistently delicious”

“We haven't been to Yard House in many years. We recently had lunch there and the menu has been elevated since last visited many years ago. Lunch is a lot more relaxing due to less people and our server was excellent and the food as well.Parking: Lots of parking behind restaurant during lunch, but will need to valet or park in structure across the street during dinner.”

“Great place to eat or pickup some sushi. This is not a place for high end omakase. It is more a place to get good quality Japanese food at a reasonable price. The workers are always friendly and it has a good relaxed vibe. Only drawback is that they only have one chef so everything takes a long time, even when the restaurant is not full.”

Julep Cast Iron Kitchen + Drink 3325 E Imperial Hwy, Brea American • $$
3325 E Imperial Hwy, Brea

“We went on a random Thursday night. A work friend had mentioned we might like this place. They were spot on. My husband and I enjoyed a couple drinks each. Then split some of their appetizers and small plates. We chose to sit at the bar, it give a better view for people watching. The Mint Julep was the best I've had since visiting New Orleans and the signature Boujee Violet was amazing, if you like lavender drinks. My husband had the Corpse Reviver No. 2 and the L'espresso Martini, both of which he gave high praise. We split the Kale Ceasar salad, mac & cheese, a Bavarian Pretzel and the Rock Shrimp Beignets. (And still took food home) Portion sizes are good, price range is a little high (but what isn't these days?) but not outrageous. Even though they were busy, the bartenders gave their full attention when assisting patrons. They are friendly, knowledgeable and well trained when it comes to proper customer service.Parking: If you've been to The Village at La Floresta, you're probably already familiar with the parking situation. While there is ample parking, there is a little walk to get to the restaurants location. But worth it.Kid-friendliness: Not really a good place to take young children. Although they do have space and some food items that can work. Likely best for families with older kids or to go around lunch time.”

“We came here twice, for dinner and breakfast—it was fantastic both times! As someone who is gluten-intolerant, it is always a breath of fresh air to see a clear and concise menu with GF marked. We personally tried the teriyaki bowl, breakfast tacos, breakfast potatoes, sweet potato fries, and the pineapple berry drink. I am sure everything is equally as delicious as these items were! Would definitely come again and again ?Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten free and vegan options!Kid-friendliness: They have a cute kids table available with smaller chairs.”

Seriously, the food was amazing; the servers were very helpful. It just became increasingly difficult to carry on a conversation. We'll be back, but we know what to expect now.”

De Oro La Puerta Authentic Mexican Food 171 S Kraemer Blvd, Brea Mexican • $$
171 S Kraemer Blvd, Brea

“The best Mexican food we've found in the area. I'm from San Antonio and my wife is from East L.A. So, no strangers to authentic Mexican food.We have lived in the Diamond Bar/Walnut area for 40-years. We've eaten at De Oro many times, tried many different menu items, and we have never been disappointed.I realize people have different tastes in food, different expectations, and different experiences when dining out. I feel bad for the folks who had a disappointing experience at De Oro.The staff is always friendly towards us and if they are busy and running slow, they apologize to us and bring us more tortilla chips. We know if there are a lot of customers or if they have a lot of to-go orders, it's going to take more time than usual. We are old and retired, but not everyone has the time or patience to wait and they leave a negative review. We have tried many Mexican restaurants in the area. I won't mention the ones we didn't like because, it's a matter of personal taste.Xavi's in Chino Hills was my favorite, but I haven't eaten there since before the pandemic. I expect they are still great. Pepe's in Hacienda Heights, The Durango in Brea (they didn't survive the 2020 shut down), the big Juancho's restaurant in Ontario (I don't know if they are still there), the small Juancho's cafe in Chino Hills is good for a quick take-out (they used to be better before Covid and they had to remove the "help yourself" bean pot), The Whole Enchilada in Diamond Bar before the demographics changed causing them to shut down, and Kalaveras. I can't be sure if it's the food I like or the atmosphere. I always have fun no matter which one I eat at, but I particularly like the small hole-in-the-wall one in Montebello. If anyone knows a better place in the area for Mexican food, I'd like to know.”

“The food is delicious. This is the second time my wife and I have been there and the calamari is so good. The first time we were there over 5 years ago we said we would go back well we finally did and we found out that now they add chili peppers to the sauce. If ruined my wife’s lunch since she does not eat chili she drank 3 glasses of water and it was not helping. We had chicken carbonero and somehow that helped her. We will go back not yet but this time we will ask for no chili on the sauce. I wanted to give them 5 stars but my wife almost ran out the door and I could not blame her. I was very shocked with the prices. We just had three things and it was over $100!!!”
