“This restaurant is like a pearl in a clam in HP neighborhood. They serve delicious Salvadoran food. The restaurant can sit about five tables. It's clean and well lighted. There are two colorful wall paintings depicting life of Salvadorans. The cashier has a cheerful voice which enlightens your day. She's very friendly and knowledgeable.“
“My son and daughter were craving for pupusas. So naturally, hubby and I looked here on yelp for Salvadorean food/pupusas. I wanted a sit down place so we narrowed our selection to this. Let me just say, our hearts and belly are happy to say that it was a great happenstance! Delicious homestyle food like your abuela made it. I don't have a Salvadorean grandma but it tasted authentic to us! lol! Their pupusas were so good that my kids had 2 each! Usually my daughter can only finish one but she actually scarfed 2 revueltas down without any problem. My husband ordered their caldo de res and I had their beef stew plate (I forgot the name). Whatever you order, you cannot go wrong! According to our kids, the food was deliciously amazing!! *chef's kiss* and she said, compliments to the chef. My son said, "do not judge the place by the looks because their food and the people were awesome!" The staff were hospitable and friendly; they welcomed us like family. It appears that this is a local favorite because it seemed like the staff knew everyone that came in. They serve a full menu from breakfast to dinner. Be forewarned, be very patient because they actually cooked everything from scratch, so it takes a bit of time before you get your food. My son and daughter give this place 4 thumbs up! Pupusas special: $1.50 every Monday and Wednesday.“
“I love the food from here! I've tried their soups, seafood, chicken plates, and of course the pupusas. Everything here is really tasty and satisfying. The workers here are really friendly and welcoming as well. It's also really clean inside. The accept card but with a small, reasonable service charge. If you don't mind, cool. If you do, bring cash.“
“Accidentally stumbled upon this spot I was in the area and looked up pupusas nearby and it led me here wow these are absolutely delicious the best pupusas I've ever had. Suport this business the pupusas are super thick and well proportioned and the cheapest around. GO NOW!“
“La Mañanera was so delicious, definitely recommend the Salvi-Mexican combo. Looked like the restaurant is expanding, and unfortunately does not have a restroom. Note there is a 45 minute wait for the Mamasota! So we didn't order it...“
“I don't live in the valley but I have ordered pupusas to go and they are always delicious. The service is fast and friendly. I recommend this spot whenever I'm asked for a good pupusas spot. Keep an eye out for their mid week specials, just don't eat too many pupusas or your heart will hate you?“
“I have come to their new spacious location and loved it.Prices are great, service is good too. I have bought their yucca, chiles rellenos, tamales, empanadas, pupusas, and pastelitos in bulk for a birthday party. It was the best. I have gone back at least 4 times, and I have always been ver pleased with the food, service and prices. I highly recommend it.“
“The food is amazing here! The pupusas got better as well. The service is a bit slow but the food quality makes up for it. However, they just hired a man to sing mariachi and the music is bad quality and really loud. It really hurt my ears and many people were complaining . You can’t even talk to the people in your own table without having to shout. He sings good but it’s way too loud and annoying. We were finally able to enjoy the food and company when he took a break from singing“
“Saw this place in the way to work and thought I'd try it. Friendly staff, clean, and a very cute little spot. Tried the chilaquiles it was delicious but I wish it came with rice and beans. Next time I'll have to request it. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“
“A friend of mine brings me breakfast from here all the time. They do a breakfast sandwich that is so delicious. It's scrambled eggs with chorizo, beans, sour cream and a harder saltier cheese on sweet bread. It is a to die for breakfast sandwich. Their quesadillas (not the Mexican kind, the Salvadoran kind) are the best I've ever had. They also have a pineapple filled cream cheese muffin that's out of this world. Whenever my friend brings me breakfast from this place, it's just a better day. It makes me happy. Highly recommend.“
“Best tamales in LA. This family owned business really takes quality seriously and they also have excellent costumer service. We enjoyed almost all the tamale flavors and several items as well, including the vegan flan and the tacos. Would high recommend!“
“The best place for the best of two worlds. Foods from El Salvador and Mexico. I went here recently and have tried their pupusas, and I can say, they are the best in the valley. The fajitas mixtas were also really good. The meats are cooked to perfection and leave you wanting another plate. I really recommend this place!!“
“The Pupusas were delicious not greasy at all. They taste freshly made. The horchata was also very good. I was impressed, andI don't mind waiting when i know that the food is freshly made! I would come back if we find ourselves in that area again. The service was also good.“
“This place is a hidden gem! First time trying out their liver with sautéed onions with veggies and rice and let me tell you it was worth it, I also ordered their signature Salvadorean dish Chicarrón pupusas with red spicy tomato sauce and pickled cabbage curtido and they were one of the best combos I've ever had.“
“The boyfriend and I decided to try this new thing where we randomly pick a spot to eat without looking at yelp first. We saw this hole in the wall restaurant and decided to just walk in blindly not knowing what they serve. We asked the woman who worked there what was good to eat but there was a language barrier so we used google translate. She recommended the pupusa revueltas and the pasteles de pollo and we also placed an order for salmon. Everything tasted amazing and clean. The pasteles de pollo had a nice fry to it! We are both not a fan of beans but the beans were good! We would definitely go back again.“
“The food here is extremely good. I had the empanadas and pupusas and both were top notch. Worth a trip!Parking: Medium sized lot at the location plus easy neighborhood parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from the parking lot up to the door. Tables all have chairs that can be easily moved.“
“A friend brought me here today to try the rice pupusas, they were one of the best I've ever tried! The waitress was very attentive, and its a very cozy place. This is now my second favorite salvadoran restaurant, and highly recommend it!“
“This place is in a small shopping center corner with 3 other businesses, and very little parking. The resurant is very small with 5 or 6 tables. It's not loud at all the only thing you hear is them cooking . The wait was a little long considering my gf and I were the only ones there at the moment .. they might have other others I'm not sure but the wait was my only complaint.. but everything came out hot and fresh so that might have been why.. the food was pretty good the tortillas were nice hot and fresh. The lady that took our order was nice and overall left full .. I'll be back later in the future“
“This has to be the best pupusas I've ever had in my Life. It has to be because of the care the mom/cook of the business takes on your order. I got the bean and cheese with loroco pupusa; absolutely delicious. The corn meal masa was perfect texture meaning she mixes it well. The refried beans were also made with lard and tasty and not too salty. Definitely ordering this pupusa again. The daughter let me order a pupusa without cheese (since all the pupusa options come with cheese), and I appreciated that. I got pure shredded beef in the pupusa and the seasoning of the meat was perfect. Definitely paired well with the masa. This is right next to my work so I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the mood for authentic and heartwarming pupusas at this family run small business!!!“
“After the old El Salvador restaurant I use to go to went out of business I had to find a new one. I tried a few places and I didn't like it, luckily I found El Trebol. Food is amazing, it's always fresh! I have read a couple reviews in which they say the food took a long time to come out and all I have to say about that is DUH! Food here is fresh and made to order. The pupusas are some of the best I've had! Anytime I'm feeling under the weather I get the sopa de gallina india which is salvi version of chicken noodle soup without the noodles and a lot more veggies. This place is great do yourself a favor and check it out!“
“I enjoy the steak sandwich. It's like a Latin Hoagie. Flavorful and the bread is lightly toasted so you get a slight crunch in every bite. If you're into hot subs, Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. This sandwich doesn't disappoint.“
“This restaurant deserves a 10 star rating!! Where do I start?!! I ordered for Delivery and got the Sopa De Pata along with their Horchata and Pupusas revuelta. And wow!!! The Soup was better than I expected. It came steaming hot and they separated the broth for me so my veggies wouldn't disintegrate, which I absolutely appreciated. The portion size was more than enough . The Pupusas are so large and plump I ended up having leftovers to munch on later. The customer service was on point and they were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. They were so nice over the phone and the woman that delivered my food was very kind. I would definitely recommend coming here and I will be a loyal customer. Thank you so much for the delicious food and top notch customer service“
“Wow. Just wow. These pupusas are crispy on the outside and melted cheesy goodness on the inside. Just a pocket of perfection. Jorge, the owner, is super sweet and made us feel very welcome - as if he invited us for a home cooked meal. The pork and cheese was sublime. 10/10 would recommend. 11/10 definitely coming back.“
“I have been a customer for years and it has never bothered me to pay dearly for a good plate of food or a good chicken broth but something I did not like was that for 2 orders of plantains even without cream and beans, as I told you, they will charge me almost 25 dollars, even so, I don't give it a bad rating because I like their food with the bananas, otherwise I would be very happy“
“Got pupusas, caldo de pata, platanos, pasteles, desayunos, and quesadillas for the whole family and every one loved every dish. We will definitely be back. If you do have a large order, just order ahead of time and have patience with the lovely people that work here.“
“Tried two of their flavors and let me just say... this place is absolutely amazing. This has to be the BEST place in the area to get a great tasting pupusa. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. Inside there's plenty of seating and it's very comfortable inside! I would recommend to come here!!!! :)“
“Ya gotta order correctly, but this place has some great burritos, tacos, and pupusas.Asada - solid!Chicken - Nice and not greasy!Conchinita Pibil - their specialty and very good! All the burritos have great distribution of ingredients. Tasty rice. It's not as big as you dream it will be, but it's hearty and you'll be glad it wasn't enormous when you finish it.They will do a chili relleno burrito. Their vegetarian burrito is also solid.Skip their soup. Also, not a seafood spot.Don't sleep on their amazing habañero salsa - they sell it by the jar too.Vegetarian options: Great veggie burrito“
“The pupusas are amazingly delicious omg can't wait to order again service was ok the lady that took my order was kinda nonchalant not very nice maybe cause I'm a girl cause other gentleman came in and she greeted them very nicely i would definitely go back for the pupusas“
“(Translated by Google) It is a small place but with very good service and attention, it is very nice to eat alone or in company, the atmosphere is pleasant, a good price and the pupusas are the best! The tanning and tomato sauce are very rich, the girls who serve are very friendly, even the cooks, I highly recommend the place to get to rest and eat something while watching a TV program, there are also typical desserts from your Salvadoran country and I think what mexican food(Original)Es un lugar pequeño pero con muy buen servicio y atención,es muy agradable ir a comer solo o en compañía el ambiente es ameno, buen precio y las pupusas son los mejor! El curtido y la salsa de tomate son muy ricos, las muchachas que atienden son muy amables incluso las cocineras, recomiendo mucho el lugar para llegar a descansar y comer algo viendo un programa de tv,también hay postres típicos de su país salvador y me parece que comida mexicanaVegetarian options: Hay comidas solo con queso o vegetales“
“OH MY GOODNESS!! This place has easily become an all-time favorite after just two visits!! Hands down, best pupusas I've ever eaten. For anyone who is picky or just has a preference about their pupusas 'region of flavor', these are from El Salvador (which is where you want the from), where the dish originates!MUST TRY:- Any/all Papusas (I got the bean and cheese but added carne and OMG!)- Fried corn tamales- Chicken tamale (cooked, wrapped in grape leaves)- Fried plantainsParking: The restaurant is location in a small multi-shop plaza, so parking all depends on the time of day each shop is busy. Each time I've been there, there was parking right in front of it!“
“The food has a homemade flavor, both Honduran and Mexican and the women who serve are very friendly, the place is small and a little old but they keep it very clean and pleasant...????????Parking: This place is behind the Laurel Canyon Target, has plenty of parking.“
“Saw the grand opening sign and decided to check it out and I'm so glad I did! The food was amazing. So flavorful! We got the carne asada plate and the Salvadoran breakfast. The person who attended us was so nice and it was a vibe inside. Will definitely be back!“
“It's a decent place. I like several things off their menu, their pupusas are good, their Canoas and empanadas are very good. I always take my food to go since I live close and the place is very small with only like 4 tables. They always have music playing but since it's small the place it's always empty and most people that go also get their food to go. It's good if you want Salvadoran food to go“
“Have been coming to this Salvadoran place for a couple of years now. The food is always great and tasty. With that being said, be prepared to wait more than the estimated time of food being ready, especially for pick up orders. They say 15 -20 minutes, and it is usually 40 min wait .Parking: The restaurant has some parking spots on the side but not too many so if parking is full you will need to park on the street.“
“Born and grew up around here and still come back. The quesadillas are flat out the best ones in LA. The other pan that my Tias and mother want here are always bomb: Peperichas, Maria louisas ( I have no clue if im spelling them right) etc etc. Obviously im Salvy and everytime I need that fix or im sent for pan, I come here! Nothing comes close. Fyi the I read the reviews on other yelpers you don't come here for donuts or tamales, you come here for pan. Nevertheless, if you want to sample authentic Salvy bread you come here. Salud!“
“(Translated by Google) I have visited this place and I really like it very good service I like to go for breakfast the food is very good ?(Original)He visitado este lugar y me gusta mucho muy buen cervicio me gusta hir a desayunar la comida muy buena ?“
“One of my favorite pupuserias in the area. Outstanding revuelta pupusas. My only complaint is the price. I ordered 3 pupusas with Casamiento and a jamaica. $29.00 before tip. That's literally double what other places will charge. It's good food but just too expensive.“
