“Nothing but good coming from On A Roll! I started working in the area about 6 months ago and this quickly became my goto lunch spot just about every day. What can I say, I love sandwiches and plenty to choose from at On A Roll. Simple deli atmosphere and I can't help but smile and laugh when talking with Lou and his amazing staff.If you're hungry, go for the Ultimate 9", the Rueben is great (the rye bread is the bomb!), or go for something different like the High Roller. I've tried just about the entire menu and it's nice to go to a sandwich shop with their own style, not the same old same old. Some of the combinations are adventurous and absolutely worth a try so I recommend breaking out of your shell and trying something new.My biggest note is that you always check the special board for the special of the day. Lou has some tasty specials so don't forget to check the board. “I’ve truly never had a bad experience here. I stop here often, but most recently was the trip that prompted this 5 star review. I stopped in with my husband, niece and two nephews. I was tired and it had been a long day but every member of the staff that I encountered brought a smile to my face with their words/actions and it felt so refreshing to be surrounded by kind people. I had the chicken&avocado bowl and the rest of the family had chicken quesadillas, tacos al carbon and chicken burritos. The flavours were there and the prices were good. My only comment for the store manager would be to ensure that the avocados in the chicken&avocado bowl be as fresh as possible because mine were a little passed their best point and they are one of the two main ingredients of the dish. In-N-Out is the only other fast food place that comes close in terms of value and taste but their customer service doesn’t come close even though it’s good.I did get someone else’s order on accident, but they got my order within a couple of minutes. “Roberto's Tacos has been a San Diego staple for over 50 years. They set the stage for the more authentic Tijuana fast food revolution that is present throughout San Diego. The Oceanside store has the number 13 attached to it. I surmise that indicates it is their 13th store and must have been around for some time. Their food is outstanding and their price is more than fair for the quantity and quality you get. I love their Carne Asada Burrito's that comes with plenty of Carne Asada, guacamole, pico in a huge flour tortilla. This is a treat for us when we visit because in the Bay Area Mexican taco shops fill their burritos with rice and beans, gross! Another treat is their Rolled Tacos with or without guacamole. You can get beef or chicken. They are crispy and oh so good. On this visit we noticed this Roberto's had some specialty burritos that I might have to try next time. One was a Carne Asada burrito with spicy hot Cheetos and another that had 2 rolled tacos inside a Carne Asada burrito. Love it! When in San Diego take some time and visit a Roberto's Tacos. You will enjoy a fantastic inexpensive meal and instantly become a critic of Mexican food outside of San Diego. “Everytime we go to Legoland, this place is a must stop for us! These fried slivers of granny Smith apples are perfectly battered, and tossed in the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. It also comes with a whipped topping for dipping, but they are still good without it! They cost a little over $6, which is pretty affordable considering you're at a theme park. I noticed that their container has changed into a flat, unlabeled container. Service is fast and friendly. They also do not provide utensils, so be prepared for sugary hands. I really love how this place is located so close to the hideout playground. I literally just eat apple fries while I watch my kids play. It's the perfect set up!“
