“If you are a turkey tail fan then get them here. You have to be familiar with eating them or open to trying them once. They're pretty fatty but the flavor and tenderness justifies eating them. The rest of the menu is like a home cooked meal. The bakery is exceptional for its baked goods especially their freshly baked bread. Service is great, with much "aloha".“

“I love these cuties called senorita bread! These sweet buttery breads are the best to share my culture and taste with everyone I share it to! I bring these for potlucks and always get asked where to buy them! Also these are highly addicting! The line may get long but it's very tolerable and the ladies are so welcoming and nice!“

“I love their bread because they make it like in Mexico. There are bakeries that make their different types of pastries but all taste the same,, like vanilla yellow cake. But at Angelo's, the Conchitas taste like they should,,, con su canela,,, the cochinitos have their own taste,, they're always baking and make sure you are going to get fresh and warm Bolillos. I appreciate this bakery because they don't cut corners.“

“The first person who reviewed is absolutely right. My sister just stopped by randomly to pick up something for an office party. Never looked them up or anything, I had one of their conchas and they were Amazing. I had it 2 days after my sister bought it and it tasted so good and texture was great 2 days after.“

Union Grind Cafe • $
1000 E Victoria St, Carson

“The person at the front was extremely nice and patient even though I didn't know what I wanted to drink. To me, it's just a typical on-campus coffee shop--it's extremely convenient and has fairly good prices. It's a pretty chill place to study, as almost all campus student unions are! I ordered a caramel macchiato on the frappe section of the menu! The drink itself was a little too sweet, but overall a great drink for the hot summer days. It still has the strong taste of coffee which is great when you're in between classes and want a quick pick-me-up.“

“I have been going to this bakery for a long time. I like to buy bread from the bakerybecause they don't put preservatives and they are fresh and soft bread.I know the owner and all the employees who work there. Last week, I went to the bakery to buy sweet bread. They are located in Carson Bonita Plaza shopping Mall. They had a huge parking lot so I didn't have problems finding a parking space. When I went there, it was early in the morning so they were baking all kinds of flavors of bread.I walked inside of bakery and I smelled cinnamon & coconut bread. This bakery specialized in Philippino bread. The owner was from the Philippines. I love their sweet bread. One lady greeted me with a smile. She was friendly and knowledgeableabout their bread. I bought my favorite Mongo bread & a loaf of white bread. For my drink, I got a bottle of mango juice. And I came home and I ate my Mongo bread. It was sumptuous! I loved to eat tastyfreshly baked bread.Anyway, if you want to try freshly baked bread with no preservatives, this bakery is the right place.I recommend this bakery because theyopen 7 days a week from 7 AM-7 PM.Therefore, you can have fresh bread every day. Also, they have excellent services.“

Casa Filipina Restaurant & Bke Filipino • $

“It's a turo-turo (all the food is displayed and warmed behind a glass counter) with dining tables. They offer tasty traditional Filipino food and the staff is just wonderful and friendly. My favorite is the Bicol Express. I wish their kare-kare had more meat and tripe instead of just oxtails. They also have teriyaki chicken (yummy) and spicy ribs (also yummy). I just wish they had someone to bus tables.“
