“This is the best pie I have ever tasted . I believe it's called a chocolate silk pie. I have never tasted a tastier pie, ever! I thought their blueberry pies were the greatest, -and they are, but, this chocolate silk pie might top those. Not possible, I thought. Ask for Will and tell them to make you a chocolate silk pie. It does not matter who you share this with. They will love you .“
“Needed a little thank-you gift for our neighbor, who has a doggo. Wanted to take some tasty and high quality treats over and found Ka Huelo Bakery. The owner is extremely knowledgable about all of her handmade products. The store is super clean and her all-natural, preservative-free dog treats were the perfect gift. Thank you!“

“Sweet little café along the popular Hermosa pier. Good pastries and super yummy drinks. I got the Mexican spice hot cocoa and it was super delish. We went early morning and it was misty out. We sat outside. It was a beautiful morning. Super nice staff.“
“The good:I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! I tried an ice cream sandwich here and thought it was enjoyable. It's interesting how you can get two different types of cookies for the sandwich. The location is prime because it's located right off Hermosa Beach pier. It's a great stop to get dessert that you can enjoy along the beach. For my cookies I got cookies and cream (Oreo cheesecake flavored) and cookie of the month (I cannot recall what flavor this was). I got blackberry crumble as the ice cream. They have vegan ice cream options. The flavors are mostly classic. You can add toppings and get your cookies hot pressed. The bad:The cookie was smaller than I expected and the sandwich didn't hold its shape. You don't eat it like an ice cream cookie sandwich. Instead, they serve it on a paper plate with a spoon. It's pricey. The interesting:They have locations throughout the US. You can order in advance online.“

“Been stopping by Tommy & Atticus since they opened in July. The country, round sour dough is our family favorite. We've tried morning sun citrus pastry (my fav), jalapeno/cheddar sour dough bread, lunch pizza & sandwiches. Great place, great customer service.“

“Updated review : I went back after a not so great experience. This time the crew were on their A Game and the cookies were delicious with generous toppings. Warm, delicious, and very welcoming! This will now be the crumbl I go to! I used to drive 30 min away to rolling hills but Torrance Crumbl is subpar in their customer service and customer connections. They know how to greet you warmly and make you feel welcomed.“

“This is definitely a worthwhile visit for breakfast, lunch, or snacks! They have a great variety of baked items that are fresh and beautiful. There are sandwiches and salads as well that looked amazing, although we didn't get the chance to try those. The pastries and cookies we tried were not astounding, but very visually appealing and decently tasty. Very nice staff as well.“

“After having been here now many many times, I can confidently say it s the best bakery I ve been to in LA. Much better than republic, or nearby sweat wheat, or anything i ve randomly tried that was not worth remembering. 2nd of 3rd best croissants in the US that I ve had (upper crust in Gainesville and Leo s bread in new orleans if curious). Location is great as close to the beach, in a nice walkable area. Not over commercialized, looks over quality store. It s a simple small store putting out great pastries. The stuffed croissants are very good. Passion fruit and lemon one are my favorite.Haven't tried their sandwiches yet but on paper they look good. The kouign Amman however, absolute masterpiece. The edges are so crispy without being hard to chew, yet the center so moist, filled with nutella at the perfect viscosity. Great flavor.“

We also had a café crème with a delicious mille feuille (French pastry). their staff is very friendly. They do their best to make you feel comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.“

“Marsha was incredible. We were looking for someone who could provide all the dessert for our wedding, bring us something other than a traditional wedding cake experience, and also bring some extra flair to our big day. Marsha did all that and more. Our cake table was decorated so beautifully! She made the most delicious cupcakes of all different flavors for our guests to enjoy. She even made an ADORABLE cake topper for us that everyone raved about. In addition, Marsha made us a gorgeous, delicious, moist 3 layer cake , and she even was able to bring a ROLLED ICE cart too! People could not get over how cool it was to have rolled ice cream at our wedding, especially because Marsha had extra cupcakes to put in with the ice cream. She was so collaborative, easy to work with, and fun. Everything we asked her to do, she accommodate, often gently giving her sage advice along the way. We could not possibly recommend Marsha any higher than we do. She is absolutely incredible and soooo many people raved about their experience with her at our wedding. 10/10 for everything!!“

“Came back for a sit down lunch one day- ordered the turkey pesto sandwich. It is beyond good!! The bread is so fresh and buttery/salty. I also tried the poppy oatmeal cookie- I personally wasn't a fan. The sandwiches and bread are divine though. Can't wait for my next trip.“

“Delicious cookies. The weekly rotation has you waiting for the next "drop". The servers are always receptive and pleasant. The shops are bare basic and strictly business. Clean, neat and the displays are helpful. I get every cookie that isn't chocolate, and I'm never disappointed. Only con, the price point is a little high.“

“I love these cuties called senorita bread! These sweet buttery breads are the best to share my culture and taste with everyone I share it to! “All gluten free desserts! The most popular pastry is the Almond Brioche, it was delicious and different, made with rice flour, served slightly warm and moist inside. We like it that it's not overly sweet. For coffee, we ordered a large mocha, it's on the smaller side, but it's wonderful and also not overly sweet. The service was prompt and friendly. Environment was clean and relaxing. Outdoor seating is a plus, especially for dog-owners.“

“They make the best cheesecake in LA that's all you need to know!!! But also the staff is friendly. Parking is limited most likely cause they are next to a bbq restaurant. But if you can park and manage to make the line in this literal hole in the wall... you'll be handed some amazing cheesecake. This is coming from a person who doesn't really like cheesecake at that! The best of the day was the Sweeney potato slice, so balanced and so dynamic in taste and texture with the added nuts on top. Definitely curious about trying even more flavors... the praising was calling my name...“

“Super friendly service! After 20 years since my first time, they STILL have $1 salad. Nothing has changed. I love that about this place. It's like a little family. It's very hard for me to pick pasta since i am not familiar with the names, but every time i pick something (always different), it comes out good. Would always come back to this. Plus, there is an ARMY cashier here. IYKYK. ?“
“A tiny bakery located right next to a small market. I've driven by this place many times and never really noticed it. I decided to stop by because it was open past 8p which most bakeries are not. Wow, what a hidden little gem. As you walk in you can smell fresh hot bread being baked. Plenty of bread options considering the location is small. I purchased bolillos, conchas, etc... Oh and a huge white concha (which is enough for 4 people). Conchas and bollilos were hot, even after 8pm! All were delicious! Highly recommend. Cash preferred OR a 50cent fee for cardPrices are about $1 each for most breadBolillos 2 X $1Large Concha $3“

“Great quality donuts the building is magical the people are graceful and sincere they work hard and are very kind call out to them at the front desk if no one is there, God bless. Been going here since high-school lov the sandwichs better than McDonald's.“
“Oh my goodness what a hidden gem!Stunning pastries and lovely French sandwiches. Besides the things Americans might expect at a French bakery they have a diversity of more classic French treats and some experiments that' say "Californie" to me such as the double chocolate croissant which is a lovely even deep brown, every crumb of it -- had to buy that to share with my dad. The relaxed sunny vibe locates this shop right between Manhattan Beach snd, I dunno, Saint Tropez. If you are South Bay bound worth the trek. I'm jazzed to have a bag of their goodies to go.The cappuccino tastes French. Magnifique.“

“It's now become a routine and I come here several times a week for a bacon stuffed roll + ice coffee. When I'm feeling extra adventurous, I would get an everything (sourdough) bagel as well. If there happens to be banana bread, I get that every now and then because it's pretty amazing. The biscuits are also phenomenal. I've tried everything now but the sandwiches and since everything else is amazing, I assume those are great as well. Service is always amazing. Ambiance is always amazing. Cheers to a great local spot.“

“Where was the option for me to give 5 stars for the vibe? I freaking love this place. Everyone who works there is great, the house-made dog treats are fire (ask my pup), the bagels and pastries are next level, and the coffee/tea is great.Stay away from the everything bagels. Those are for me only :P. Kidding. They are my #1 favorite item.“

“Immediately noticed cookie making equipment along with flour and eggs: always a good sign. Front staff are chipper and willing to describe products. Chocolate chip had nice chunks of excellent quality chocolate - oddly hard to find these days. Peanut butter had good flavor but left me wanting. Chocolate-Chocolate with frosting was amazing. The oatmeal was frosted: not necessary and it distracts from a beautiful base. We paid $16 for 4 cookies.“

“This review is long overdue- LA has a few artisinal mom and pop mochi shops that have lasted for decades, and Chikara is one of them. The presentation is beautiful, these are not cheap eats as well. For $20 you can get a decently assorted box of mochi to give, they take cash only. They also prepare it differently depending if it's a gift or for yourself. Some of my favorites are the Kiku, Sakura, Nadeshiko, and Strawberry. It's definitely pricey compared to other mochi places, but in my opinion it's the chewiest compared to others.“

“Got an Asigo bagel with salmon cream cheese and an iced mocha coffee. Very, very good! Got the Fifth Avene bagel to go, which is a lox and cream cheese bagel (chose sourdough) with tomato, onion and plenty of capers. Won-der-ful!!! Have lots more items to choose from! Best bagels! Will be back! When the owner learned was buying for a diabetic, he steered me off the sweet drinks. Very caring people...“

“While vacationing we like to find local small businesses. I am so glad we found offset. We ate breakfast here every morning. We had the lox, avocado toast and an egg and bacon biscuit. These delicious dishes were made with fresh ingredients and were also visually appealing. The coffee is roasted here providing the best quality product. The talented baristas are super friendly and able to answer your questions. Ample parking is available next to the building and handicap parking and ramp are out front.“

“I saw Rockenwagner on an Eater's best-of list and was also recommended by a friend. My experience here was just okay--not great, not bad...kind of unremarkable. My partner and I ordered a few pastries to go (a lox and everything bagel Danish, a bear claw, and a pretzel), a loaf of their raisin pecan bread, and two entrees--a pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich and a pretzel bun burger (It was 11:30 AM and we wanted the best of both pretzel worlds). General thoughts: Entrees: I am a pretzel lover and the pretzel bun and croissant didn't scratch the itch. Maybe it's the lack of lye flavoring? The burger and sandwich were both decently cooked and made with fresh ingredients. I truly think it is criminal that a breakfast sandwich costs 15 dollars nowadays, but hey, welcome to LA/Southern California. Pastries: We made the mistake of waiting to eat the pastries until the next morning. They lost that day of freshness, so that's 100% on us. The lox/everything bagel Danish was beautiful and such a creative idea, but it was missing something...and ultimately made me want to eat an actual lox and bagel. I don't remember what the bear claw tasted like but remember that it was filled with frangipane. The pretzel was probably my favorite out of the bunch, but I think there was too much cheese on it (which is rarely an issue). Bread: The pecan raisin loaf is pretty good toasted with butter. I am not sure if it is baked the same day it is sold (or even baked on-site?), as the loaf was packaged in an additional layer of plastic. I wish it had more of a crusty exterior/soft interior that most fresh artisanal loaves have. Rockenwagner's fine and I would like to come back to give it another chance, but with Lodge Bread so close...“
“You can close your eyes and point to anything in their pastry case and you'll always get something delicious. The quality in their bakes are always consistent, as with their attention to detail even when packaging up your pastries. My absolute favorite is their seasonal pommier, but I will always come back for their classics: sesame choux pastry, mont blanc, gateau marron. ilu patisserie chantilly“

“The kind of neighborhood coffee house that actually feels like it's part of a neighborhood. Community bulletin boards, bookshelves, sometimes local art. And a little bit of everything: coffee, tea, pastries, smoothies, etc. Offbeat and home-y despite its spot at the end of a row of trendy restaurants. (And it's been here longer than most of those!) Decent amounts of both indoor and outdoor seating. The kind of atmosphere that makes you *want* to hang out there.Parking: Most of the street parking has been converted to outdoor dining for those nearby restaurants, but it's a very short walk from the metered parking lot across from Trader Joe's.“

“This place is definitely one of the best in the South Bay! When it comes to boba, the milk tea is great, they have some unique flavors along with the classics, but what surprised me is the boba pearls themselves, which are ginormous, chewy, and flavorful but still come up the straw easily and frequently! What's more is the amazing atmosphere! This place resembles a cozy coffee shop with their comfy furniture and paintings, which is a nice twist! They also sell some pastries, which looked pretty good through the display (although I didn't try any).I would highly recommend this place to others in the area.“

“I love pastries and I love bread and I love coffee. I also love that this place is so close to home! But I don't know if it's a good thing for me because now I am addicted lol. The women that work here are All so sweet and always answer my questions about the beverage menu ( which I told myself I'd try every single one) and so far all good but I am loving their gingerbread caramel latte and tried the chocolate peppermint cookie today and omg it is sooo good! Peppermint flavor is just the perfect amount not overpowering, like the lady that helped me said I cannot believe it's Vegan. My kids love their chocolate chip cookies and we enjoy some of their sourdough every now and then! Great little gem in San Pedro.“
“I visited this place for the first time. Wow, they really know coffee. I had a chai latte, it was prepared perfectly and served at the right temperature. My sister had a flaky custard pastry that was buttery, flaky, with a glazed sugar coating. It was delicious.Parking: Located in shopping mall“

“I am surprised I never wrote a review at this place because this is one of my favorite mochi donut places in Torrance. They have seasonal themed donuts now! Check out their campaigns if you take good pictures or want some candy. See the picture of the sign for more details. Each piece is around $3 or more so it is not the cheapest things but the size is bigger than you think. Totally worth it. Loved the brioche bombs but I still tend to like ponde ring like chewy mochi donuts better. Super close to the bathroom. Parking is plenty in the same lot as the Mitsuwa Japanese supermarket. Also pretty good access to the courtyard of Del Amo through the outside walkway. Best to park in front of Mitsuwa but you could park near Macy's or PF cheng and walk as well.“
