“From time to time I stop to eat at thisLunchbox and the truth is it is one of very few where the food has a good flavor, you can tell that it is cooked that same day. The shrimp burritos and fish tacos are very good, chicken broths, carnitas, etc. Delicious food and prices are good. I hope it continues like this, thank you“

“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“Absolutely incredible food. Best surf and turf burrito I’ve ever had. Tried the rojinegro per their namesake, and it was pretty yummy; especially the octopus. Also got some asada tacos. Fish taco was ok. Owners were also super nice and let our toddler watch them hook the food truck up to their pickup.“

“First time here after a concert at Sofi. Food truck opened late so we were able to grab late dinner. Great service. Since we were first time customer, they let us try their popular item. Not sure what is called but it's a fried corn tortilla with refried beans and meat. It was amazing! Their salsa is also spicy and delicious. We got birrira tacos, which was good, and the burrito is packed with refries beans and meat. I'm very picky when it comes to beans but these were my favorite. It's gooey and soft and perfectly seasoned. Would come again if I'm ever back in town.“

All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! El Pastorcito Taco II is outside of the Arcadia Park off Santa Anita Ave & just south of Huntington Drive. Based on the name, Al Pastor is their specialty, so naturally I picked out the Al Pastor taco! With a smokey flavor, onions & cilantro and a nicely sliced piece of pineapple topping the taco, it was worth the $2.50 it cost, and was rich in taste! Staff here were friendly, though it wasn't a super busy weekday evening. No seating here, which is totally fine, and it is by a big parking lot, so plan ahead to eat in your car, especially since you want to eat it hot & fresh! No worries though, everything comes on a Styrofoam tray, works great! A decent variety of other items on their menu as well - definitely a go-to when I want to get some legit al pastor tacos!“

“Who doesn't love cupcakes!? While out and about, I came across Coco’s Lip Smacking Cupcakes. The sign said it all for me and I had to check it out. When I entered, the space was very clean, organized, and just very appealing to the eye. The aesthetic was very cute and definitely my vibe. They offer a bunch of different yummies including cookies, cake, cobbler, and of course, cupcakes. The lady was very sweet and helpful. I went with a dozen cupcakes. I got a variety of different flavors. I got red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, cookies & cream, and a few others.The cupcakes were so good!! I ordered the al pastor burrito with everything included and I added my hot salsa from the several bowls they had available. The burrito was a good size and the meat wasn't dry and had a good flavor. They have tables and chairs available so you can enjoy your food right there in the parking lot. They also have a restroom which is a major plus.“

“My coworkers had recommended this place after watching a Netflix documentary and let me tell you the story behind the restaurant is very heart warming. The food on the other is belly warming. If you come here the must is the carnitas tacos. Duh, simply the meat very tender and not fatty and the portions are big. I had two tacos and you can definitely make 4 with them and double it. The winner on the other hand I would say is the mafita. Pure hot cheesy mixed meat goodness. It's a giant carnitas taco with mixed meat with cheese. “The truck was at Common Space Brewery on a Saturday afternoon when we had dinner. We opted for the garanchas and quesabirria tacos plate. The total was a little over $30 for the combo, and it ended up being plenty of food for my wife and I.Both dishes came out piping hot. That includes the consomme on the side. The salsas and pickled cabbage were nice and cold, with the salsas spicy and very tasty. All items on both plates were delicious and excellent quality. The combo of various ingredients worked very well together texturally and flavor-wise. We really enjoyed everything and would definitely dine with this truck again.“

“I was there around 2p on a rainy day after a Home Depot run. And they have a small menu that consisted mainly of seafood. I ordered a campechana chica and 1 taco de birria. The campechana was $13 or $13.50 and the taco was $2 or $2.50 (I paid a total of $15.50 for both). Both people inside the truck were very friendly and patient. The birria taco had 2 tortillas and delicious meat inside. It was a good size. The inside tortilla was soggy and falling apart but the exterior tortilla was super crunchy on one side and softer on the other one, giving it the perfect crunch. It was so yummylicious that I didn't even put salsa on it (a first for me). The campechana was a good size for a small, and decent taste, and they added imitation crab (jaiba) which not many campechanas I've had do. And since I'm not a fan, it was a bit of a bummer. Decent amount of shrimp, but wish it had more pulpo & veggies; it's understandable for the price though. It also came accompany with both tostadas and saltine crackers and 2 type of salsas. If I'm ever in the area, I'll order the shrimp cocktail instead and more of those birria tacos that have been living rent-free in my head since a few days ago. ?Parking: There's free street parking“
