“Great breakfast place. Get the Breakfast Special. A great deal! High quality ingredients. - 2 eggs anyway you like, one pancake or one slice of French toast with whipped butter and warm maple syrup, pick your meat 2 thick cut bacon strips or 3 sausage links for under $10.Service was friendly and attentive. Tables are spread far enough that you are not sitting on top of each other. In terms of Downtown Castro Valley, JP’s is a great family restaurant with tasty comfort food at reasonable prices. You won’t be hungry after finishing your meal.Parking: Flat, large free parking lot outside of restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Disability parking in front of the restaurant. Plenty of spacing between the tables for folks with mobility issues to wheel or use a walker easily.“
“I have never wrote a review before today about how absolutely delicious a food item was, I added bacon, jalapeno, pepperjack and provolone to a Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheesesteak and this may be the best sandwich I have ever had. Kudos to to whoever engineered this thing. Thank you for sharing.“
“We love Norman's and go with the whole family. Large variety good quality old style, (like me) and decent prices. Treat our grand kids special, they really love it..It is comforting to know they still have places like Norman's. And the waite staff is terrific! I wish I knew all their names, but like I said.. I'm old.. Anyway Enjoy!“
“Great food with excellent services. Owner was working hard and greetingcustomers at the same time. Very friendly place, 100% satisfied. The portion was huge. Make sure to come hungry. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Great varieties for vegetariansParking: Had no problem finding a parking spot“
“My server handled an entire room during a busy lunchtime shift while keeping her cool!I opted for Tacos and was able to mix it up with 1 Pulled Bison and 2 Smoked Squash served with a fresh wild green salad. Wapepah’s blue corn bread is a beautiful grainy texture and pairs great with Warm Berry Pudding. Wait…. Don’t leave without getting Frybread! Its delicate crispy exterior is perfectly balanced with its soft warm freshness, topped with a buttery finish!“
“We had a good meal here. The risotto was fabulous. I had soup and a side of shrimp that was good too. I do wish they had more salads to pick from. I have only eaten lunch here before and I do love their shrimp and grits. Drinks could be bigger. We went a little before the rush and it was still really loud. Not easy on the ears. It's very indicative of Danville Ca. A bit posh but not too much.“
“The food here is amazing! We came here for my birthday dinner. We all got great dishes: my pork chop was tender and juicy, the crab cakes were excellent as was the flaky filo Mary's chicken. The desserts were good, not as great as the main courses in my opinion but my friends liked them. We got the bread pudding and the black bottom white chocolate banana cream tart.“
“This is a very nice and convenient cafe to go to at Centerville Train Station. They serve American and Filipino food here. This is actually my second time coming here and noticed that they have Lamb Tocino, which is quite unheard and probably rarely eaten. The wait was long because there are some issues in the kitchen, but I’ll let that slide. The staff are friendly when people got here and are apologetic due to problems at the backend.I also like how the place is decorated trying to match the theme of trains and other transportations. It is small for a dining area, but it’s worth relaxing and coming here.“
“This place has been my go-to after-work spot. Drinks are excellent especially during happy hour. Bbq wings never miss! And the truffle mushroom pizza is great. Not on the menu, but ordering the tater tots & making them garlic tots is heavenly. The staff and service are awesome.“
“This place is great. The place is always clean, the food comes out on time, and the service is great. All the waiters and janitors are very friendly and nice, especially a waiter called Cynthia P. Would recommend this place for a casual hang out or feeling “
“Janneth was awesome! We were a big party and came late at night and she did an amazing job accommodating us and making us feel welcomed. She was quick at taking our orders and getting the food out to us! She was the only one on the floor and did her job efficiently! Dennys is lucky to have her!“
“The 5th Wheel in San Leandro is a true go-to diner! It's all about fast, fresh food that keeps the community coming back. Our order was quick, fresh, and you can tell they're popular by the bustling scene. Loads of to-go orders, too. Here's what I got: Two eggs scrambled with cheese Wheat toast Super delicious hash browns Country fried steak All cooked to perfection. If you're after quality eats in a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot. Highly recommend!“
“The food was excellent. I ordered the 6 ounce Dallas filet cooked medium rare and it melted in my mouth. I also got the Caesar salad and the mashed potatoes loaded which were both great choices. Of course the rolls were amazing. I’ll be coming back to Texas Roadhouse and definitely going to one when I’m in Texas.Kid-friendliness: There were a lot of kids!!“
“Amazing service and amazing food. Best grilled cheese I ever had in my life. Must add bacon and caramelized onions wow! Strawberry milkshake is the way to go! It’s the best out of all the milkshakes(: Garlic cheese fries are super strong but oh so good! Been here multiple times and never been let down! Always eat in because take out has smaller portions. Eating in has reasonable portions I usually can’t finish my meal in one go! I only ever finish the fries first haha! For two people it was $70 with tip. For a family of four with tip it’s around $100 to $110. But it’s definitely worth it!“
“I came across this place while I was door dashing. The menu was unique and the sandwiches sounded good. I got the Tom & Jerry on a Dutch Crunch roll. It came exactly how I ordered it and tasted amazing. There is plenty of sauce on it which I love. The bread was nice and soft too! I wish there was one closer to my house. I'd probably eat here more often. Definitely gonna order again.“
“We tried their brunch menu and was not disappointed. We ordered from the most friendly staff at the window the Andouille Shrimp and Grits which had creamy cheddar grits, the breakfast sandwich with home style fried potatoes, Banana Bread Louise which is banana bread french toast with Bananas Foster topping and a Grains in Purgatory bowl which had farrow. Roasted vegetables and two sunny side up eggs topped with chili crisp. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the Grains in Purgatory was considering it was mostly vegetarian except for the eggs. It has the right amount of spice and the farrow had a nice bite. The breakfast sandwich had scrambled egg and thickly sliced bacon and arugula, the home fries that came on the side were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Those potatoes were the bomb! The gravy on the shrimp and grits was a little too salty for me but those creamy cheddar grits were so rich and smooth. Get the Banana Bread Louise to share for dessert! It's amazing! I look forward to trying items on their lunch menu especially the jerk salmon“
“MAR2024Great food still, tried ther burger, outstanding!!!!JAN2024Outstanding and very reasonably priced!!!My fish and chips were perfect, fries perfectly extra crispy as I ordered. Large portion of perfectly cooked fish with great flavor. My wife's Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich was good, but here salad was excellent.I wanted to have a shake, but I was so full that I was very smart to not order the chocolate shake.Parking was easy with a very large parking lot.Great service and friendly. We are going back!!!Dietary restrictions: They will make your meal as you request.“
“Firstly, it's the best brunch spot in Fremont area! They have such a good brunch menu and their skillet potatoes and smoothies is to die for. The outdoor is small but dog friendly. The indoor is kinda cute.- please go well in advance on weekends if u want a table. It's mad crowded and the wait time gets insanely longer.- take photos! They are so yelp and insta worthy!- order their smoothie only if u can be sure of completing it else find a partner to share.I really wish they have a better system for wait and reservation. This whole let the restaurant look crowded and busy is so old school in my perspective. If they enable tools for waiting that's it! It's going to be so good! Else be prepared to wsitKid-friendliness: The place has enough on the menu but provided the kids can wait“
“What can you say, typical coffee shop, excellent food, good prices.Kid-friendliness: Great kids options. French toast is superb.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat low sidewalk, easy for wheelchairs. A little tight, but doable. Sundays are busy.“
“Neighborhood Staple ✊? This Spot, has been "My Spot" throughout my teen yrs, my 1st,2nd,&3rd daughters and soon to be my grandchildren will get introduced ? I just got Re-Accquainted with this food a few days ago by running there (just) before closing... 3 minutes until ⌚ Ordered my food, thanked everybody in inside & left Em' a tip. That "tip" was and Still Worth It!!! ✨?????“
“I like this place because it's like a mom n pops kinda place, a hole in the wall type of place, I like those kind of restaurant! They sell American breakfast as well as Mexican breakfast!I had the birria with rice and beans! The birria was tasty and in it's own juice made it even betterrrrr!! ???“
“This is basically an 80s/90s restaurant & bakery joint like Coco's, Marie Callender's etc. They are still serving full meals, meaning entrees + soups/salads, with traditional sides galore, along with an extensive list of burgers/sandwiches, Mex-Am comfort food, and good breakfast items. The furniture needs updating for sure, and it'd be nice if veggies weren't steamed to death and there was more seasoning cooked into the food all-around. But you know what? You're going to find something here that pleases everyone, and it's a well-oiled machine that's probably been rolling for decades. Hits the spot.“
“It's a Friday night. Decided to stop by here before picking up the stepsons from OAK airport. Their flight was delayed. We got here around 10:30 pm. We got parking right across the street. The place was still relatively empty except for folks at the bar. Apparently it's Karaoke night. Some guy was singing "My way" I kid you not (see the video below). The lady and I got a good table. The place filled up within 30 minutes. The clientele reflects the community around San Leandro. Quite diverse. Staff seemed to know the table of bikers that came in. Atmosphere is chill, despite the loud bangers between karaoke songs. DJ was cuttin' it up with Yay Area club classics. We had the lumpia and the lemon pepper strips. Lady had Diet Coke while I had a pint of Sierra Nevada. The staff is friendly and attentive.“
“The bread and food was AMAZING and the service was fabulous. We also got non menu meals for our kids which was so kind and helpful.Absolutely love this place, would come again and recommend this to everyone.Kid-friendliness: They made non menu meals for kids which was fantastic and greatly appreciated.“
“Same location where it was called Pizza Antica before. The location in Google maps is incorrect and actual location is across the side street from the parking lot.Good food, very good and friendly service. Try the mushroom pizza, salmon, or chicken dish. They also have $7 sangria specials starting on Thursdays every week. The ambience is friendly and the decor is minimalist. The portions are big. You can see the impact of inflation in the prices. If you pay using the QR code (sends you to Toast) it includes tax for calculating tip percentages, which is not great. Hopefully they fix it.Vegetarian options: They will customizeKid-friendliness: Small selection of usual kids items“
“What a GEM! And a hidden one at that.Celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early with #ThankYouThursday and decided to check out pot pie paradise after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not normally a pot pie type of person, but with the cold weather, it was definitely the way to go.Pot Pie Paradise is nestled in an industrial part of Hayward so it's a bit of a drive through back roads to get there. They've got a decent parking lot and when I stopped by after lunch time, it wasn't too busy. They have a really helpful menu that shows all the options they have for pies, sandwiches, and other lunch choices. It's also updated to show which pies they're sold out of. I wanted to try the bulgogi beef but unfortunately they were sold out that day. Instead, I went for the Thai chicken curry. The Thai chicken curry pot pie ($10) had noodles, green beans, chicken, and carrots in it. It was delicious! I don't usually have noodles with thai chicken curry but it worked here. It's a pretty good portion for lunch and can maybe even be shared with two people. Though for me, I ended up just having the rest later for dinner. The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I loved reading the newspaper articles they have posted around the shop as I waited. They've got lots of seating inside if you prefer to dine in but I opted to take it to-go.Such a great local business! I'll definitely be back to try other pot pie options.“
“Enjoyed Sunday brunch here. I got duck carnitas hash - lots of meat, fried eggs cooked perfectly (yolk a little runny) with home fries and seasoning. It’s a big plate of food. My companion got the As Kneaded French toast - I could taste the orange zest and cinnamon in the batter. Served with maple butter. No wait! We were there between 10:15-11:30 AM and there were plenty of available tables inside and out.“
“We were pleasantly surprised with the food choices and the beer selection. The beer I wanted to try was not on tap but all other beers met our expectations. The falafel plate was great, as well as all the burgers we ordered. Fries, potato salad, and side salad were fresh. The place was not crowded on Friday night after sunset when all the golfers were gone, I guess. Google maps routed us through some back alley but we found the main road on the way out. Plenty of parking and looks like a very secure neighborhood.“
“I was traveling for work and decided to try this Famous Dave’s since I haven’t been to one in a while. I ended up showing up an hour before closing(had no idea they closed at 8pm on Wednesday) However my bartender Brittney let me know as I saw it fairly empty. Service was great as not many ppl there. No complaints on that part. Food came out fairly quick to my surprise (big thumbs up) Staff was very knowledgeable as they had answers to my questions. My service was great thank you Brittney!!! Drinks were good. Definitely recommend will be coming back at earlier time next time I am in the area.Dietary restrictions: Definitely easy to keep on Keto friendly as I choose meat entree’s only delish“
“Was in the neighborhood & got hungry. Was heading 2 Sonic's & Seen Amy's grill & decided 2 give it a try. I ordered a breakfast sausage sandwich & blueberry waffles. I just finished the food now & it was great! ? would def recommend & will be back again! Thank you! #HazyJavi on all music apps!“
“The staff here are informed, laid back, and yet fully attentive. We really appreciate stopping here to decompress when ever we’re in the area. If this isn’t already your favorite spot I strongly suggest you make it yours. Food and drink is hard to beat ESPECIALLY for the price point.“
“The staff here are consistently the friendliest every time we visit. They offer a diverse range of food options, including enchiladas, fish, ribs on certain days, turkey, and stuffed bell peppers.Harry's serves comforting food and is ideal for parties. We always feel warmly welcomed when we're here. However, it's unfortunate that you can't tip the staff on the machine, so be sure to bring cash for tips.“
“I have been here a few times in the last several times and have always had a great time. The service is good and so is the music. There is plenty of seating to enjoy the games and also a nice outdoor area that at one time had tables and chairs set up in the parking lot.Parking: I have never had an issue finding parking.“
“Best all around restaurant in the area. Our store is close and we eat here all the time. Don't underestimate the food because you assume it's a bar atmosphere that wants to serve cheaper items to passify patrons. The food such as the seared ahi, chicken pot pie, the chicken meal, the shrimp and grits and multiple kids items are really well put together and that is what honestly would surprise most people about Norm's. The sliding door opens up for events next door and there is always sports on. The staff and the owner alike make you feel comfortable and at home. The best part is they always keep up with us as customers and they remember what we eat. It's the little stuff that makes norm's special.“
“The general manager, Karla, is the standard for what good customer service looks like. We had a small issue during our dining experience and I was incredibly impressed by how Karla handled the situation. Great vibe, food, drinks, and wonderful customer service. Highly recommend.“
“Hector and his staff are awesome food is great service is great we go here once a week for lunch and it's always great, every dish we order never disapoints, they have a full bar and they whip up some great drinks and cold beers, I recommend visiting here and enjoying some great food and drinks along with great service...“
“I've been driving past this amazing kitchen on wheels for the past yr and never have I bothered to stop & look. This ain't just a taco truck, they do breakfasts, burgers & birria. What more can you ask for. Run by nice folks. I'll definitely be back.“
“I've always liked Mel's but don't come in often but that's about to change it is officially the home of my cheat day meal. My girlfriend and I went there last night and got some bacon hamburgers fries and I got some wings. My burger was juicy as all get out and my fries and chicken wings didn't disappoint either. Service was great our order was taken really fast and the throw back vibe it had going on was pretty cool. Will be back for more grub if my first experience holds up going forward.“
“I recently tried Break Your Gast cafe in Union City, California, and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience. I opted for the Korean BBQ bowl to go, which was a delightful mix of rice, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, and chicken coated in a flavorful teriyaki sauce. What impressed me even more was that on December 25th, they were open, adding an extra layer of convenience and warmth to my dining experience. Grateful for the delicious food and the accommodating service – definitely a spot worth visiting!“
“This place has been here basically forever since I first lived in San Leandro and the food has always been consistently tasty and fresh. Run by a cute Korean mom and pop couple, the value for a quick lunch is solid. Yes, post pandemic inflation has caused prices to increase but you get what you pay for. Hoagy steak has been a staple for me as an SL local and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a regular lunch take out place.“
“This place is nice and clean and has outside seating in front and on the side which is where I sat ( has gnats in the plants that bothers your food). My waiter, Josh, I think is his name from which I overheard his associates who were sitting behind me called him, he may have told me and I didn't hear him, was very pleasant! Now for the food, I ordered the BBQ salmon which I found out that I do not like BBQ sauce on my salmon. I thought it would be just grilled, my fault, I should have asked. As for the garlic mashed potatoes, they were too thin for my liking and I wasn't impressed with the taste. As for the chicken wings, they weren't seasoned enough for my liking, but the sauces helped me push it through. Now for the grilled brussel sprouts, I loved them! Even though this wasn't my favorite I'm still eager to try their other dishes, oh, the Blonde beer I had was great!“
“My husband and I spent our birthday dinner here in the Victorian house basement of this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. We ordered the chicken entree and the steak. We split the salad, had wine and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. It was delicious, wine was fabulous and the restaurant is cozy and quiet. Would come again!“
“Best eggrolls I've ever had ! Hands down. You have to try the cheesesteak eggrolls. They're thee best. They also have crab and shrimp eggrolls which are goodt but not as good as the cheesesteak. So flavorful. There may be a wait but it's definitely worth it. The lemonade is good as well. You gotta catch them when they're open though. You won't be disappointed.“
“Friendly, attentive service. Perfect fish and chips, (crunchy batter, soft, moist fish, un-soggy fries), paired great with a double IPA. Cobb salad was loaded, and very fresh. Iron Horse Trail proximity gives biking and walking options, but there's plenty of off-street car parking.“
“Red snapper and party wings were seasoned well. Not salty. This place is well priced and stays busy. Order ahead. You can also order party wings in a box 40-50 wings which is great for a party for about $45. It is the go to in area. Must try.“
“Lovely diner with super friendly service and good food. Reasonable prices. Quite a few vegetarian offerings. Would definitely come back . Really hoping it stays consistent, as it could be a great regular spot in the neighborhood.Vegetarian options: Cold soba noodles with tofu, Mac and cheese, vegg sandwichParking: They have their own parking with a few spots. Easy street parking (paid)Wheelchair accessibility: Dedicated handicap parking. Wide entrance.“
“They literally see me at least once a week. ITS MY FAVORITE GO TO FOR CHICKEN KATSU =) They are always nice, polite, helpful and prepare the food quickly with 0 errors. yum!I also recommend the teriyaki salmon!!!!Parking: Shares parking lot with many other things you ae bound to find a parking spot somewhere.“
“I am a trucker, tried this place on a reco from a guy at Home Depot while making a delivery. Place has very similar menu to "Hawaiian Bros," if you've ever heard of them, but I digress... Ordered via Uber Eats, food arrived swiftly and HOT. Portions were plentiful and DELICIOUS! Got the Hawaiian BBQ as well as Lau Lau and Kahlua Pork for later. Would HIGHLY recommend, will be back if I'm in the Bay Area again.“
“Just came in for a bite to eat from traveling all day long. I was welcomed immediately by James who made me feel like I was coming home to visit family for a home cooked meal. I enjoyed the New York steak with blue cheese and mushrooms along with sautéed veggies and a cup of the lentil soup. Everything was amazing.James checked in on me as well as the other patrons so efficiently all while delivering food and taking orders along the way. James reminded me that everything was home made to order and nothing disappointed. I will definitely be back for sure.“
“Love how elegant they've made this basement space - it's always a nice respite from the outside world. Enjoy their flights and great beer selection, and the popcorn is always tasty. Peer into the heart of deliciousness with the sous vide cheesecake, made of goat cheese with graham cracker crumbs and Irish whiskey dulce de leche. Quite tasty! But I admit, I was sad to see it served in jar form versus a slice. I probably should have guessed that from the "sous vide," huh?“
