“What can I say? This neighborhood sometimes doesn’t feel like home but it’s places like Joy that really help change that. First of all the cashier is attentive, the servers are friendly, fast and efficient. This place has amazing staff and food. The prices are also reasonable and their menu is relatively easy to understand. I had the joy special which came with an appetizer, small soup and a sandwich and iced tea. I chose the pork belly sandwich and it was so delicious the bread was so soft and I wanted to buy a roll of it. I also got the wonton soup which was so flavorful as well. I wasn’t a fan of the seaweed salad but everything else exceeded my expectations. I want to come back to try different menu items but this place is definitely top tier. Parking is a bit tricky but I suggest coming on a weekday when there is less people.Parking: There’s a paid lot in the back of the hardware store“
“Very interesting place , the food is top notch , they served you super well portions and the flavor is super , the lady that welcomes you is a character in a good way , is super nice and attentive, but with a little hyper crazy personality... their only fault is place needs to be a little more organized as you can see boxes and tables for storage and plain view ... but overall a good place ... that tea wasn't that good either ( super hot be careful)“
“Some of the best wings I have had in quite some time. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their unique flavors are fantastic. They also loaded the heck out of my Styrofoam take out container for my garlic noodle order. If you like chicken wings you really have to tey this place out.“
“Casual vegan restaurant with Asian cuisine spanning Thai, Chinese, Japanese and more. Menu is all vegan, and has a lot on it - from fancy sushi rolls, to wings, curries, stir fries, rice bowls, and more. The food we had is what I’d classify as “vegan junk food,” heavily fried and not very healthy, but super tasty. We ordered the hot wings, the orange chicken, and the Tom yum fried rice. The orange chicken was good, sweet and savory. For dessert ordered the mango sticky rice which was ?, really yummy. Got home and needed a nap ?Staff was friendly. Food was good. Definitely wouldn’t be able to eat this sort of food every day but was a nice treat.“
“Great hole in the wall. Service and food was great. Not disappointed with anything, rather impressed. The only thing that surprised me was the egg sando because it was sweet. It was good, but I'm not a big fan of sweet food so I probably wouldn't order the sando again. Everything else was spot on with flavor.“
“I ordered the Seafood Kalguksuk to go and it was incredible!!! They package the noodles and seafood separate from the soup so it travels really well. The portions are great and it's an extremely filling meal. The noodles are handmade, at least they taste like it. It has a really nice bite to them. The broth is well seasoned and has the perfect amount of spice. Such a delicious meal for a colder day!“
“Un-Pho-get-able. Extremely clean and pleasant restaurant with the most delicious Vietnamese food I’ve ever tasted in my life!Best of all the price for the soup is extremely affordable $15 for an extremely large bowl of Pho with endless supply of noodles, meat and vegetables.I am so happy that I came here to Chinatown to find this hidden gem treasure.“
“Ordered popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup! Popcorn chicken is breaded with tapioca starch! Great texture and flavor. Beef noodle has lots of beef chunks and tendon pieces. Soup was flavorful and not salty. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.“
“Now this is some legit Taiwanese food! Opened late for delivery which allowed my friend and I to enjoy one of the best Valentine's Day dinners ever.We ordered a completely plant-based menu and everything we had was delicious. All vegetarian and vegan friendly items are clearly marked on their menu.Started with the Rice Cakes & Mushrooms appetizer which are an absolute must- everything was fried perfectly and seasoned with salt, pepper, and basil. I bet if these were eaten fresh, they would have been even better.Next, we had their Bok Choy Dumplings which were four large, pan-fried pieces of goodness that came with a fire dipping sauce. They seriously have the texture of their dumplings down perfectly. Finally, the Dan Dan Noodles completed the meal - wheat noodles covered in a seasoned sesame based dressing with fresh cucumbers and peanuts. The dish is simple but it was one of the best DDN I've had in a while.I look forward to checking out the actual restaurant in the future because the delivery was amazing. I can only imagine how even better it is when made fresh with great ambiance and service.Vegetarian options: Large vegan and vegetarian section, with items clearly marked on the menu. Go for the Rice Cakes & Mushrooms, and their Dan Dan Noodles“
“Yummy soup! Perfect place to go on a cold day.My girlfriend and I stopped here yesterday for some lunch. As busy and full as the parking lot was, this restaurant was nearly empty with only 3 parties in there around lunch time! It seems like most of the people that were parked there went to get dim sum, AYCE sushi, or Korean BBQ.We knew what we wanted to order (we normally order the same thing everywhere). We ordered A2. Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls, I got P2. Rare Steak, and she got P1. Flavor Pho Combination. The results:- A2. Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls: They come in a pair with each cut in half. Accompanied by the usual sauce with peanuts in it. It tasted refreshing and was pretty good.- P2. Rare Steak: I feel like most people order this as it's simple and good. The soup was delicious. I ordered an extra side of rare steak for more protein :). Good soup!- P1. Flavor Pho Combination: My girlfriend said it was really good and she finished a large bowl plus the spring rolls! That says a lot.Service was good. The man who greeted us and helped us out was always smiling and cheerful. We sat ourselves and was helped immediately.Parking was a little bit of a pain since it was packed due to the other restaurants in the plaza. There's only a few spots in the front of the restaurant, and unfortunately two of the spots in front are for curbside pickup for AT&T (what the heck!).I recommend this pho place if you're in the area!“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“Vegetarian food never tastes so good. Omg, I’m in love with all the food there. Server was very nice. The place is very spacious. Plenty of parking too. Highly recommended! Oh I also love the spicy sauce and sautéed onion they have on the side.“
“I tried the Carbonara Udon and thought it was delicious! The sauce/broth is very creamy and savory. The fatty pork is great too. It's definitely something unique. If you've had carbonara before it's just about the same but a tad more liquidy(?) and then just add some thick, chewy udon noodles to that!“
“We made a reservation for our lunch luckily otherwise it gets really crowded, wanted to try something new.Atmosphere and service were great. Food was delicious.Since it was lunar new year, they provided us with gift vouchers for next visit.“
“The best bowl of beef pho you can find in Compton! the broth Is cooked perfectly.. also love the chili oil & wontons. it's a family owned business I usually order takeout and the temperature is always consistent And food always up to par.“
“Has dinner last night with the Family. I accidentally left my phone there and was pleasantly surprised they held it safe for me. I thanked the staff and gave them a $30 tip for my gratitude. As anyone knows losing a phone is a pain in the butt.“
“Does Aizen (Izakaya Bizan) allow doggos? No. This establishment is fully indoors located on the third floor of Little Tokyo Marketplace. Aizen now shares space with Izakaya Bizan (formerly Honda Ya). We came here for lunch on a weekday. We were seated right away. Their menu was simplified and consisted mostly of udon. The salad served before our udon was delicious. It's a simple Japanese style dressing with onion. The niku udon was sweet and savory. There was a good amount of meat and udon noodles. Service was friendly and efficient. This is a good place for a quick lunch.“
“My only suggestion is update the drinks, they are not good the sake piña colada was not good and I tried my bf lemonade and wasn’t good in opinion and I saw in the back you guys use the powdered country time lemonade. Ewww I don’t want to waste 3-6 bucks on nasty drinks, I will drink water next time. The seating could be better to more cozy less like I’m in science class“
“I love this place. Friendly people and great food. The best beef and broccoli ever. If you are snooty and need pretentious nonsense in a restaurant, please skip. This is salt of the Earth dining in a pleasant atmosphere (or take out) where the food shows how much work went into it.“
“The best mom and pop restaurant in Monterey Park. The food is delicious and priced just right. Patience is key, all the food is freshly made so be nice to the workers.Parking: First come first serve. Plenty of parking spaces to accommodate dinning guests“
“I tried many Indonesian restaurants in the area before and hands down this Wayang restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indonesian foods. I just love the wonderful combination of flavors and fragrances from the tropical spices used in the cooking. Additionally, the owner Lily is very friendly and attentive to all guests. She makes sure everybody is satisfied. It's always been a great pleasure dining at this place. Highly highly recommended! You should definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Gado gado ( steamed veggie salad with peanut sauce, tofu and rice cake) is one of the best vegetarian dishes anybody should try ( whether they're vegetarian or not). So yummy!“
“Hole in a wall, but their special noodles are the bomb! Since this is a special Sichuan place, expect high levels of spiciness, but don't get yourself entangled in possibilities; if you can't eat spicy, ask them and they'll cook it without spices. Personnel English is limited, but their willingness to please makes up for it. Just ask for the "kitchen lady" (probably the owner) and she'll come out to translate.Parking: Wide lot, plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Sure is.“
“It's such a cute little place!! Portions are generous, and they have some good options for gluten-free people. I had the Spicy Salmon Rice Bowl and it was great ?? ? ?Dietary restrictions: Has a special menu for those who eat gluten-free.“
“Nice local Vietnamese restaurant that I've come to a few times. Staff is a friendly and the food was quite delicious! I had some beef spring rolls and a vermicelli dish with meatballs. Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“
“the staff is so kind, and try to save you money by giving you the lunch combo if the dish you order is available in that form.we have enjoyed the bean curd sheets with mustard greens, eggplant, general tso's chicken (mushrooms), sizzling tofu, soft tofu with crispy beans, and ended with the sesame balls. what a delightful meal.“
“(Had to finally give my review) The best places for Pho, in the area, I’ll tell you this one is by far the best Place, “hands down” for better quality overall the restaurants in the whole South Bay Area! The Real reason is 100% their secret, “The Broth” is what makes the dish amazing and different compared to the rest. For me most importantly my surroundings has to be 100% clean! I have not been disappointed! I can say they’re always on top of their game! Thank you! The obeisance is warm welcoming through the doors, clean atmosphere, (bathroom too) very chill, good music, good service every time! This place just opened in our community and we need more diverse Restaurants ran like this! With Integrity in Good service, quality food, clean safe atmosphere! This place is so busy now and popular for their food. Thank you for being one of my diverse “Go-to” kitchen! Good job well done “Hoan Pho Resturant” Owners! I support you, my locals always, and this is how we make it to continue to keep you guys running, for our needs and wants! You can tell by the heart when it speaks, how it acts, sorry for the negatives just out for their “own” agendas!! There is always “Solutions”to own’s issues! It’s called communication to make better if not greater, right?!! How about trying on you first “self reflect” overall and it will make a difference in better if not greater! Be “The Example of Practices of Perfection”!Parking: Plenty parking space“
“Love Thai and the drunken noodles are my favorite specially spicy with shrimpAnd #4 season wow I drove from lemoore that’s 4 hours away this place is worthy of it and it has a tv where u can watch family feud and eat at the same timeWheelchair accessibility: It has handicap parking and wheelchair accessible I’m disabled I have a prosthetic leg and the walk from parking to front door is not far at all“
“I ordered a chicken pad Thai and a Thai tea and my food was great! The person serving us was sweet and the ambiance is cute it felt like being a a studio set for a show from the 90s I think it's the wood paneling ? Either way if you're around the silver lake echo park area and are looking for Thai food with parking then I'd definitely check this place out !“
“We went for dinner on the earlier side with four adults and four kids. It was delicious! The staff were kind and accommodating. We got the rice bowl, noodle bowl both with ground pork, my brother got the Taiwanese beef bowl and he loved it. The kids liked the plain noodles, and it's nice you can add sides like egg and bok choy. The pot stickers are nice too. Everyone enjoyed the food! Really good and would love to go back soon.“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe.Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“I enjoyed all the food I ordered. Scallion pancakes, pork bun, braised beef soup with thin and thick noodles, and the best fried rice ever. I would definitely order from here again. Too bad I didn't take any pictures of my food as I gobbled it all up. One thing to note is that, and I believe, there are 4 types of noodle options, thick, thin, flat, and wide!Parking: Shares a small lot with the rest of the plaza“
“Really good food, got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the half bbq chicken & half beef combo! It was a lot of food and so good! Their drinks are so cheap and yummy I got the Thai tea boba! Service is amazing they are so sweet and nice! Can't wait to come back.“
“We order here at least once a week. The kung pao chicken and beef and brocolli is delicious. The hot and sour is phenomenal. Always brothy with lots of fixins in it. Great flavors. We want to go into the restaurant soon and see what they recommend since we always have our go to meals and would like to try something new. Definitely recommend this place!“
“I had the beef pho, beef over rice w/ two eggrolls and pork and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was good but the star of the show are the egg rolls!!! I can not stop thinking about them!!! ?Best egg rolls in LA?Maybe, possibly, yes.Service was quick and efficient.“
“This place was great! We ordered the pad see ew and the pad Thai and we loved them both!! We enjoyed them so much that we only have the aftermath photo to share Their service was also great. They were very attentive and the restaurant had a very clean boho vibe to it.“
“RAKKAN Ramen DTLA hidden jewel restaurant. The friendly service is impeccable. The restaurant small but quaint. The Spicy Garnet ramen is cooked to perfection with a slight bite and comes in a somewhat thick miso vegetable broth full of sesame and garlic flavor. The crispy veggie gyoza is crispy on the outside full of delicious veggies in the inside. The tempura shrimp handroll is stuffed with a crispy and succulent tempura shrimp and lots of fresh avocado rolled with plump rice in a nori seaweed sheet. Will definitely be back for other dishes that caught my eye.PS: Come early as it fills up fast.“
“So good! We had the spicy beef soup with wide noodles, the chow mein with triangle noodles, and the pork burger. All were very good! The beef noodle soup was great and the chewiness of the noodles was fantastic. Will have to return and try many more things. The chili oil was on point. The man who took our order was very friendly.“
“Have been here twice and love the service and food! the employees are on top of it with water and hot tea and when we are need of more. the rice is the best because it’s simply not burnt from the bottom which many places sadly fail to do. aside from the the meat and soup are so yummy! got the pork tofu soup plus the bulgogi on the side!“
“This is my family's all-time favorite Cambodian restaurant!! We've been going here for years and the food has always been top notch. If you have a large group, they can accommodate on the patio. If you are new to Cambodian food, see if your friends and family will share so you can try a little of a lot. I recommend the student noodles, cha qui (bread), beef sticks, spring rolls, and charbroiled beef. The Boba is good for dessert.“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“Lady that took my order over the phone made sure to explain the menu items I wanted to order before finalizing my pickup order. Upon picking up my order she made sure to go over my entire order and had it packed perfectly. When I got home and unpacked my order, all items were labeled and even included a note letting me know one of the items was extra hot. Little details like this is what keeps my family and I coming back to Ho Ho China. Thank you to the staff and cooks, keep up the great work!“
“Seating is a bit tight and intimate (not too far from neighbors), but the food is FANTASTIC! We had all kinds of dumplings which were delicious, but the best of the best would have to be the beef roll, which tastes amazing and has this really nice flaky-crunchy texture to it. 11/10 would come here and annihilate 6-10 orders of the beef rolls“
“My families favorite ramen spot in LA! We always order their chicken karaage for appetizer and the spicy tonkatsu ramen is my favorite flavor. If you don’t like too much spice you can always get the regular tonkatsu and get the spicy miso ball on the side so you can choose how hot you want it to be!Service is always quick and the waiters are nice. We’ve never had a wait for a table either so that’s a plus. They also validate parking for the lot so you can get a discounted rate for parking in little Tokyo.5 stars for delicious food and awesome service!“
“We love this place. The food captures the mystery and flavors of eastern spices. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. It’s a bit off the walking areas, but the location is at the confluence of busy streets and the 101 so it’s easy to get to the strip center location. Parking is easy.“
“Excellent service—attentive and friendly. Delicious food—we had the Kow Soi, chicken wings and Pad Thai. I had never particularly liked Pad Thai before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it here. If I’m in the area again, would be happy to dine here a second time.“
“After seeing some vids about how great the mul naeng myun is here, I had to come try with my family. My sister and I got the mul naeng myun and my grandma got the sagol dduk mandu guk (ox bone soup with rice cake and dumplings). The broth of the naeng myun was clear and crisp, but a little bland, I had to put in a lot of the mustard paste and vinegar to increase the flavor. Overall, I liked the thinness and texture of the noodles, but the flavor of the soup was nothing too out of the ordinary. The banchan though... deserves a standing ovation. The side dishes were fresh, well seasoned, and Korean grandma approved. I think I preferred my grandma's rice cake soup to my naeng myun, but I would be willing to come back and try their other dishes. We got a pajeon (chive pancake) on the side as well, which was crispy and came with a lovely soy sauce on the side. The waitresses were also very attentive and kind. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in for a late lunch on a weekday. Overall a great experience :)“
“I love a good Korean food court, and this is my favorite spot at this one! They have lots of great Korean street food items, and the prices are so affordable, especially the combos. The food is homey and relatively light. It tastes simple and reminds me of the food from the stands at Korea. My parents and I got an assortment of items, and I was able to try the Tempura Udon, Spicy Ricecakes, and the Kkoma Kimbap. The food is prepared quickly and seems pretty light on the MSG. Highly recommend this spot if you're hitting up this food court.“
“Food was amazing, everything wad seasoned perfectly and the Ramen was so flavourful! Service and atmosphere were both great as well, the vibes here are very cozy and heart warming. The servers always kept a close eye on the customers and Jackie, the manager, is extremely kind and provides us with foremost service. I recommend dashiwa Ramen to anyone visiting/locals around here. Worth it, pricing was good too! ❤️“
“Ordered the non-spicy beef noodle soup (hand-cut) and added my own level of heat. Nice broth. Wish I had seen their cold drinks lineup before getting my green tea order from the bakery. Will try their milk green tea next time along with some other dishes (lamb, cold noodles).Nice sitting area shared with the hot deli. Reasonable prices and solid portions. The lady that took my order is nice & served the food to my table. Unexpected and much appreciated!“
“This is a fresh noodle manufacture, the product can be found in the local Asian grocery market. I prefer the Wonton Egg Noodle, which are a flat wide noodle pack with flavor, that can hold up to curry soups and sauces. I package makes four bowls of noodles.“
