“We had a fantastic experience here, as well as delicious food. I love love their house made Burmese style tofu. But honestly everything we had was great! tea leaf salad, garlic noodle, soft tofu noodles, vermicelli, samusa, and coconut gel desert; top notch. The owners were so lovely and made my birthday celebration feel so special. And their recommendations & catering to our strict vegetarian options were really thoughtful. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian/vegan offerings but owner will adjust to make most all dishes vegetarian upon request“
“What can I say about this but it's an absolute hidden gem if you are ever around the area you should do yourself a favor and try "the handmade noodle spicy beef stew" it's the best I have ever had !This amazing place is CASH ONLY!! ? it's so worth the money .Parking: It's Snug“
“This is THE place to get popcorn chicken in the 626! I've been coming to P P Pop for awhile now and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. The popcorn chicken serving here is huge, and the chicken is really moist and flavorful. I get mild spice and it's pretty spicy imo! The beef noodle soup is also a favorite of mine. I love the chewiness of the noodles and the beef chunks always fall apart. The drinks are served in huuuge cups so that's also very worth the price. Service is always great and they're very comfortable speaking English.“
“My first time here trying their food. Since I don’t eat too spicy, so I ordered the non spicy dishes. The fish head and tofu soup was very delicious and full of flavor, but of course lots of bones. Just need to be careful when serving the fish with young kids and seniors. The Yeung Chow fried rice had lots of shrimps, but no BBQ pork. It’s a little bit oily, but tasted good. Maybe I will ask for less oil if I order any fried rice dishes.“
“This take out place has huge potential to grow. Ordered the pork belly rice box and it was ono. Like that onions and bell peppers were stir-fried with the pork belly sauce and poured over white rice. Really added great flavor to this dish. Also like the kim chee in separate container so uneated portion can be refrigerated. Love Kim chee and theirs were just right not too spicy. Its a shame their hours are limited but all the reason to stop by when they are open. Will be returning to try the other Korean dishes.“
“How rare is it to find authentic xi’an noodles? Very. We read the review on LA times about this place and popped over to try today. Loved every bite of the cumin lamb noodle, Liang pi, pork burger and more. It is hard to find authentic mum&pop place these days, so happy wen hui exists. We will be back,“
“Pretty good roast duck, crispy skin and very flavorful at least for the dark meat sections. The accompanying sweet soy and duck drippings compliment the white meat. The green beans were flash fried, giving them a slightly bubbly skin. While the soup dumplings were ok, they weren't nearly as thin skinned and delicate as Dan Modern Chinese.Service was fast. The atmosphere was casual.“
“Pretty good and different options for noodles and noodle soup. Plaza it's in is also nice and has parking. However, the combos are sorta expensive and no longer allow you to choose the appetizer. And the biang biang noodles themselves don't come with meat. But still tasty“
“I can't remember how I found Nha Trang Restaurant, maybe it was an online review or a reddit recommendation but they were absolutely right on the quality of Vietnamese food here. The best Bún bò Huế noodles we've ever had. The pork blood tofu was plump like a water balloon, fresh and nearly tasteless - no hint of blood at all. The noodles a round rice noodle and the spiciness was light.Weekends offer the Pho Ga, chicken pho. Slightly sweet with medium wide rice noodles. Tender chicken, possibly poached and then shredded slightly.Did I mention the free complimentary fried pork spring rolls hot from the fryer? Delicious.Service was cordial. The atmosphere was inviting.“
“Food is not bad. Nice people. I honestly didn't know what I was ordering, but it worked out.Parking: Parking here is really a mess. There's 2 cars in the back corner, and I think they're the workers and owner's. Because otherwise, they're blocked in. If you have a truck or SUV, I suggest you park on the street. It's really tight in the tiny lot.“
“I can’t praise this place enough! The food was beyond incredible with a generous assortment of meats that left me absolutely satisfied. The pricing was unbelievably fair, and the service was impeccable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit - consider me a loyal customer!“
“The last time I had Guilin noodles was when I was in Guilin and purposes some roadside. It was served in a plastic bag, but it was one of the more comforting noodles I've had. Years later I noticed a few Guilin noodles place pop up. I decided to give this high Yelp-rated one a try!Food: Guilin noodles in soup with medium spice level - Thicker yet smooth rice noodles in a savory broth. Medium spice is perfect for me. Came with sliced meats and some pickled vegetables. Service: Very friendly wait staff. The waitress made various recommendations. She sold me on the chrysanthemum tea. It was good! Environment: The outdoor seating area is larger than the indoor seating. Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was near empty. Price: It's pretty reasonably priced for a large bowl of noodle soup. “Plenty kinds of noodles. It's authentic restaurant. You can pick up the slides and take out. The flavor of tomato soup is rich and sweet. The beef inside is soft and tender. And the volume is soooo big and full. The lamp kebab is also good. The dining experience is good and the food delivery speed is fast. The environment here is clean and bright. It is a large noodle shop with many types of soups to choose from, such as braised tomato soup with oil, pork bones and golden soup. waitYou can choose the type of noodles from thin noodles to wide noodles similar to shaved noodles. There are also a variety of side dishes and drinks to choose from.Tomato Beef Noodles have a strong tomato flavor. There is a lot of beef and it is very tender. The overall portion is so large that two people can eat one bowl. The oil is a bit oily but very fragrant. The mutton skewers are very fragrant and the dipping sauce is also very fragrant. The environment is very clean and bright, and the food is served very quickly. Recommended“
“Crossing the bridge noodles came from a legendary story in China. Regardless of the story I love love love these noodles. Piping hot soup in a stone pot and you add all the topping in yourself. This spot never fails to satisfy my noodle cravings.“
“Total hidden gem that I discovered (omg) 20 years ago. I have to say it's the closest you can get to authentic taiwanese food in Los Angeles. You will be sitting among loyal customers that visit at least a few times a week. The lady here is like an old friend and there is just her and the chef. There is usually never a wait and they open late. Check the hours before you go. One of our favorites in LA. Dishes we recommend include Taiwanese fried chicken, stinky tofu, and shrimp fried rice. All the stir fries are good. CASH Only.“
“this restaurant is incredible :) we were staying at the courtyard right next door and went to huge tree pastry for breakfast one morning, but noticed that this charming noodle place was opened right next door at the crack of dawn, so decided to give it a try! we went on a saturday and got their saturday bun rieu special, which came out in promptly like 3 minutes (probably cause they had the soup already good to go). the portion was huge, tons of thicker noodles and veggies to accompany the generous serving of soup. the soup itself was so so so so good!! my exact type of taste, very tomato forward with a beautiful undertone of seafood and pork. the actual soup itself didn't have a ton of meat in it, but for 11 dollars after tax, it was PERFECT for breakfast!! they also gave a ton of veggies and their homemade chili crab paste reminded me a lot of super tasty sambals ive had in the past, and it was delicious and warming to eat in the morning! was such a huge fan and would definitely frequent this place often if i lived close by :)“
“My favorite Chinese food in LA. Vegan, delicious, family style, and they have a free parking garage. I always get the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, or the sizzling black pepper beefVegetarian options: Everything is veganDietary restrictions: Vegan restaurant with gf optionsParking: Free parking garage attached to the plazaKid-friendliness: Kids eat hereWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible from the street“
“They were really nice, they refilled my water and brought out my food quickly. The seats were comfy and their ramen broth was hot, smooth and rich. The Takoyaki was perfect, it had ginger, fishflakes, octopus and mayo. Their Chasiu bowl was sweet salty and savory I liked the sauce and tenderness of meat.“
“Best buns and dumplings in Southern California. They make wonders with flour and pork. They also don’t speak English, so I normally just point at the menu. Nothing is bad on the menu except the seafood. If you get something fried, try to dine in to get the texture right. If you get fennel buns, make sure you like the taste of fennel because there’s nothing subtle about that one. Pork and cabbage is the safest bet.“
“This is one of the closer places I could find 肉夹馍 rou jia mo (Chinese hamburger), so I stopped by and have a try. We just came back from a trip to Xi ‘A which is the birthplace of this food. The taste was ok. They added some chopped green pepper which I don’t think the authentic version has it. The bun is also a bit more burnt compared to the authentic version. Overall not too bad but just don’t expect it’s the original version!“
“I've never been here but was curious to see why so many people are going inside so I decided to get something and wow this was a huge plate of food and it was so good, the chicken tastes delicious, I couldn't stop eating this chicken fried rice. I'm taking my family here next time I'm in town.Parking: There's plenty of parking when Shakey's isn't busy. But I visited on a weekday so there was lots of parking spots available“
“I finally made it! I'm glad they put one on the east side. Y'all need to come try this! We were seated immediately and served within 10 minutes.Ramen bowl and an appetizer $20 for lunch. The fried chicken appetizer was so juicy and perfectly crispy, not smothered in bread. The Tonatsu Ramen was so flavorful. I chose tofu. They added nice sized tofu pieces. The gyoza was tantalizing! It's difficult to stop eating, even when you're full.“
“This is our second time here and the food was just as good as the first time we went there. It’s my husband’s favorite spot for beef noodle soup. The pan fried buns were crispy on the bottom and soupy on the inside (perfection). Try the honey green tea! It big enough to share between two people. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese food! They also have a nice parking lot (unlike most places in LA).“
