“The house made udon was super! The texture of the udon had a lightness and springiness which really was a delightful surprise. The soba was also very good. The restaurant also serves izakaya dishes. Fried chicken and beef tongue were good. The duck broth with the soba was excellent. The restaurant itself is a small space and was crowded when we dropped by. There wasn't a long line to wait, but the tables were full. The staff was helpful, but we were looking to order to take away.“
“My friend and I ordered cold soba noodle combination with fried shrimp and veggies, takoyaki, curry soba and fried cartilage. They were all on point. The handmade soba noodles were cooked just right - chewy and bouncy. The fried shrimp with sweet soy sauce on top of white rice was also ?. I highly recommend this place!FYI, my friend is Japanese, and she approves as well!“
“I was invited to this place, I’m not a fan of sushi, but I can’t deny that I enjoyed the food there. The atmosphere is nice, the service is good, some of the servers were not friendly, but our server was nice and friendly. Go visit the place if you want a good bite of sushi.“
“Had dinner last night and have to say… the meal was very good, everything that we expected as a first time diner was met. Living in Napa ( and dining in San Francisco) and experiencing quality food and service our expectations are high and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. the service was excellent as well, different staff continuously checked on us, everyone was extremely pleasant….and the place was completely filled ( read reviews re the noise, loud but you could certainly carry on a conversation)Overall I’m giving this place 2 ? up…..PS the bottle of sake was excellent also….“
“Fair price for the quality fish n yakitori. If ordering multiple dishes, ask the service personnel to bring the dishes out in a specific sequence if preferred. Otherwise all the dishes will arrive in random order almost at once. The restaurant has indoor n outdoor seatingParking: Parking validation avail at restaurant“
“Love this local spot. The ramen is so good, love the Spicy Miso especially. It's got good flavor but not too spicy. All the rolls have been yummy too! The vibe is anime which is super cute and casual. Service has always been solid even when they are busy. Have been back several times and it's consistently good!!“
“Fantastic restaurant. The Orion beer, the white corn, the peanut tofu, and the carpaccio are the highlights. The takoyaki, sukiyaki, and ramen were also great. Lots of new flavors. Very friendly.Dietary restrictions: Okinawan cuisine focuses on pork.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: It’s a very small restaurant. I wouldn’t bring kids here.“
“We made reservation via Yelp. This restaurant is located in a small plaza with limited parking spaces. The service was excellent. The restaurant looks like a typical Japanese yakitori restaurant. It's clean. The ramen tastes alright. The yakitori tastes alright too. It's a nice restaurant just have a drink and to hang out with friends.“
“This is THE Ramen restaurant for my son and me. When friends want Ramen, this is where I tell them to go. The noodles are a superb texture. My son liked the original gyu-tonkotsu. I tried the chashu tsukemen and that is now my favorite. The broth was so scrumptious that I wanted to dip myself in it. The son finished the meal with a melon soda float. We were stuffed!!! Can't wait to go back for more.“
“We have been coming to KH for years, decades! The quality and authenticity of yakitori is just legit. All parts of the chicken is used and grill to perfection. Try them all, maybe in a few visits to you will be able to taste all the skewers! you will not be disappointed. When you enter KH, you are transported into the land of Japan and you will enjoy this ride so much, you might plan your next trip to the actual country of Japan. Enjoy this little trip to one of the best izakaya in the OC.“
“If you are looking for a more clean and flavorful broth for ramen, this is the place. Highly recommend this place because of their fresh ramen, great service, reasonable pricing, great for family setting, and creative flavors. Hands down best ramen place in OC.“
“Went on a Saturday right at open at 5 PM. There was already a line and it was too late for the first round of seating. Had to wait about an hour for a table. I'd recommend going on a weekday if possible. The restaurant offers several types of cuisines. The yakitori was great. The sushi was standard like most places. I really liked the Osaka style yakiudon.I would come back to try the miso soup as they had several flavors I've never heard of before. I would also like to try their grilled dishes as well.“
“If you ask me what I’m craving I will always say sushi and a hot broth. Oki doki by meiji in Tustin is the perfect spot where you can start off with a fresh salmon cucumber roll and end with a piping hot udon. Their shabu shabu udon comes with perfectly cooked udon noodles and a generous amount of the most tender beef belly. The broth is also a beautiful balance of sweet and savory. “Stopped by for a casual dinner and really impressed by the food and service. We sat at the sushi counter so in addition to the great food, we also got to watch the two friendly chef working their magic with precision, focus, and a pace that's fast but not hurried. Between my wife and I, we had 8 small dishes and sushi, and some hot house sake. Every item was well made with lovely plating, and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely visit again!“
“Didnt intend on having real deal Japanese cuisine but was lured in by the aroma in the parking lot. Glad I went in and got the black garlic mushroom pork ramen. Earthy deep flavors with the green onions, a good depth of flavor and nice change from miso broth. Ended ordering sushi roll made with rice paper crab yellowtail and Maguru and asparagus. Omg very happy tummy. 99 cent sapporo to wash it all down. Mango and green tea moshi to top it all off.Vegetarian options: Vegetables noodles, soy tofu plates, multiple salads.“
“The food here was so tasty and good. I can't eat chicken so I can't comment on most of the skewers, but the tongue was very good. . My friend and I also shared one of their pots. I think it was beef, similar to Chinese clay pot but ingredients seemed more premium- fresh, light, and delicious than typical Chinese clay pot. My friend called to make a reservation, as space is limited. I'm told that once they reach the limit, no more seating for that evening. No walk-ins, at least not when we were there on a weekend. Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu.“
