Luckily I came on a day that they were selling their famous home made cookies and honestly, it was one of the bests of my life (yes, cookie from a once cream shop). He was so friendly and welcoming, and gave us free samples to try of dill pickle, dinosaur (which tastes like skittles), and Lee hing mui. He let us know that you can pick as many flavors as you’d like and you can also put toppings such as cheesecake in (which is exactly what we did). There are some New Orleans items for sale and there’s a few chairs if you’d like to eat it there, although most people seemed to opt for takeout.Prices are super reasonable and credit cards accepted. Parking is easy since there’s a shared lot in the complex. We had the Lee hing mui and tigers blood for our flavors. “I have been coming to the shop since I was a teenager and I can't believe I didn't write a review sooner. Iove their tortas, they are made with so much love & presented with perfection. The meat is tender and juicy always. My mom also loves them, she says they remind her of ones she had growing up in Mexico. They sell plenty of delicious options as well. Ranging from ice cream, nachos, smoothies etc. If you're ever in Boyle Heights I highly recommend it's definitely a gem & it will forever be my favorite place to grab a torta. “Tried crumbl today for the very first time. I thought the cookies were expensive at first but to my surprise the cookies were a good size. I only bought 2 (strawberry cake & cornbread) I'm glad I did because the cookies were big. I like how fresh the cookies looked and tasted. I believe they were warm which I really liked. The only thing I didn't like was the icing. If you like sweets then you'll be fine. But the icing was just too much for my tasting. I did place a mobile order at around 8:30 and when my husband got off to pick them up he was met by the employee who almost immediately handed him the cookies. “Date: April 1, 2021 Our company provides breakfast and lunch for the employees every quarter during our quarterly inventory count. Our normal breakfast spot started opening later since the pandemic started so I was told to search for another spot that was able to provide us breakfast at 6AM. Yelped around and found that Amigo's Donuts was fairly close, had breakfast, and opened at 4AM! Called and the owner Tina picked up. She was super sweet and took my order and was very helpful and patient. We ordered out 35 Ham, Cheese & Egg sandwiches and she even gave us a 10% discount! Placed a 50% deposit to secure our meal over the phone and the rest was paid the day of. One of our directors went to pick up the meal and he said he had a great experience as well. Everything was ready to go on time and nice and hot. Unfortunately I was unable to try the sandwich as I was not apart of the crew this year but I heard great things from my coworkers!! “After dinner nearby, we ventured to SomiSomi for dessert. I wanted to try the chocolate and cookies and cream ice creams but unfortunately, they couldn't mix two soft serve ice creams. So, I was left with the options they had in the swirl. I ended up getting the milk tea and cookies and cream in a cup with the nutella filled taiyaki on top. I was excited about the toppings and I asked for cookies, fruity pebbles, graham crackers, and coconut flakes. Our creations looked very pretty but I was ore concerned about how they tasted. The milk tea overpowered the cookies and cream but the consistency of the soft serve was good. The soft serve was quite high in the cup putting the taiyaki on top of it made it too heavy. Unfortunately it fell off as I walked down the street. Message to let me try hers though and it was pretty good.For $6.95, I thought the portions were plentiful, making it a really good deal. I would return t and try other flavors when I'm back in the area.“

The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. They have a fun menu with interesting items like their "j latti" which is shaved ice with soft serve ice cream; it's great. They also have traditional stuff like sundaes, banana splits, and even milkshakes. It's family owned and the owners are cordial. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. My only gripe is that it's a little bit run down and there are only a few benches outside which aren't very well kept. It's still cozy enough especially in the evening.“
