“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“

“I visited holy grail donuts today. And I'm telling you that it was great experience to enjoy good donuts. You can see how your donut is made and who makes your donuts in the store. It was so fresh and I've been never experienced this before. The vibe was cozy and comforting. Also staffs were super friendly. Strongly recommend. I wish donut shop like Holey Grail Donuts exists in my country too ;( Maybe little bit expensive but worth to try. You won't regret it.“
“Tattoo artists are incredibly sweet, and very talented. The environment feels very safe and friendly, water is readily available if you need it, and the artists don't mind if you ask for rest breaks. I made positive conversation with everyone who was there at the same time as me. The artist I was there to see, Stanley, did an amazing job with my very tricky scar cover-up tattoo. Also, the aesthetic of this place is absolutely perfect, their interior design choices are really impressive. The green and pink floral theme is adorable.“

“The olympic sandwich is so good I highly reccomend it. It tastes better than the traditional bahn mi yet it still maintains the familiar taste that we all know and love. The interior is also very clean and aesthetic so I would come back to try out the other sandwiches!“

“Ooooooooweeeee... man, this place is awesome and delicious. Came here before all the Instagram and TikTok hype so there wasn't too much of a long line, but now the lines are too long!! However, I still recommend. Their chocolate croissants are sooooo good. For those who want savory, I recommend the Pesto? pastry. A little tip for the pastries at CAR, eat it right away. As time passes, the crunchiness of the pastry does decrease.“

“My first time at Little Barn.. a vegan spot. It was just after the rain so everything was soaked. I could tell that if things were dry then the back seating area would be cute. The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. That was really good. I would definitely try it again.“

“After I cancelled Starbucks, I was wondering where I was going to get coffee from when I stumbled onto this gem. It’s run by some great men trying to seed into the community. The free food and drinks they place outside for 24/7 access is proof of their hearts. The product is stellar. I’ve had the coffee and tea which were both fabulous. They also get top marks for offering oat milk (current fav). Anyway, please support these hard working people and support Black owned business.“

“Good coffee and simple interior design. Will be coming back to try signature drinks and pour-overs. The baristas behind the bar were kind and caring. Even chatting with other customers they kept working and I got well-balanced espresso. Will be coming back with friends to try their pour-over and signature drinks menu.P.S. I hope the owner will add his winning USBC signature drink to the menu. So that not only judges but we all can try it:)Kid-friendliness: They have a small area for kids to play“

“Obet and Del's (est 2020) is a colorful mom-and-pop coffee shop that blends tradition and innovation. It's located in Hollywood's Thai Town. O&D is Filipino culture-inspired coffee crafted by owners Heather Knox and Josh Oliveros. The shop’s 90's retro interior design and layout were well conceived and very spacious, respectively. They have breadth of coffee drinks and modest pastry selection. Free wifi available (2 drink minimum prerequisite). Plenty of street parking. We came here to grab a nice Cold Brew; perfect on a sunny warm LA. It was okay. Service was on point. Staff were cordial.Overall, I had a good order experience. I’d definitely come back for other drink and pastry.“

“My go-to spot for simple french sandwiches. NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Ive had all of their meat sandwiches and their omelette sandwich. Always so good and fresh. love the crunch of the baguette with their rich butter or their gooey soft omelette. the omelette sandwich is my favorite, because i'm just an egg enjoyer and would prefer breakfast meals over lunch or dinner. I will KEEP on going back here! Also their ice pink praline latte, is a MUST TRY. not overly sweet with a nice floral scent to pair with its creaminess. this place is really a hidden gem in the neighborhood.“

“Delicious!!!!! All in house, quality ingredients, and no short cuts. The process and pride in the baking shows up in the food. The pasties are high quality, and very tasty. They use whole food ingredients; no extracts or artificial flavors. The staff is amazing, and makes you feel like part of the family. We grabbed a couple pasties, and sat in their lovely (kid and dog friendly) porch. Amazing views!! The owner came out a few minutes after we finished to ask how everything was, which pastry we enjoyed most, and catch up generally. We had a lovely conversation, and really loved our experience. We will be back each week!! We love it. “Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“If you're around the area I would suggest visiting this cafe! They have fantastic service and their drinks are always top notch and literally made with love. I usually get their matcha latte or their seasonal drinks if it catches my eyes. Btw their cream topper is always so AMAZING, could literally drink it everyday haha They even sell flowers/plants! It's pretty unique since you can't really find cafes that sells them and they are all so pretty. Plus this cafe has their own merch too. Once I saw their pink tumbler I couldn't help but had to bought it ASAP, such a cute tumbler(The color was to die for)! The baristas are so welcoming and would love to chat with you, they will literally start off your day perfectly :) Also, the parking is pretty small so if you can't find parking I suggest to park in the neighborhood, it'll be a nice short walk :D“

“This spot has some really cool plants as you walk in (fiddle figs, pathos, money tree, etc). I was totally oblivious to the hours of operations from 8-3pm and stumbled in at 7:20am asking for two coffees. The guy at the counter totally could of said no, but didn't and totally appreciate it. If you're in Glendale area...come by and check them out.“

“My favorite coffee place so far! Their mint chocolate iced mocha is AHMAZING!! Creamy, rich while still being able to taste the coffee. The chocolate shavings on top were also delicious and nice addition. Limited parking as all we found was street parking but that's okay. Fast service. Their nutella croissant was divine and absolutely delicious! When in LA, will definitely be back!“

“Our morning ritual used to involve bludgeoning ourselves into a semblance of consciousness with the heavy-hand of a generic dark roast. It was an effective if inelegant solution to parenthood. Aqaurela's beans provide a different experience. We are by no means coffee experts, but my wife and I were surprised by the nuances in smell and taste when we tried their Deus Me Livre for our morning espresso. It's a lighter feel; almost refreshing. The morning cup feels a bit indulgent, yet not so rich as to make your mouth feel overwhelmed. We could see this pairing very well as an after-dinner treat with any manner of desserts. The best part is that this is simply a fantastic company to work with. Quick, fast delivery. Prompt follow-up to make sure we were completely satisfied. And all questions answered - when we noted that we typically prefer darker roasts, one of the owners explained that their goal was to make a medium-roast whose flavors would still hold up to a coordination with cream and sugar. It's a throwback to days where customer service and the personal touch were still important. This is a small business whose goal of promoting independent farmers is admirable and worthy of our support. Thank you!“

“Such a cute coffee/stationery shop. I had the matcha latte with oatmilk and lightly sweetened and it was good but next time i'm getting regularly sweetened. I usually have to ask for lightly sweetened wherever I go and this time when I did, it could've used a bit more sweetener which is a good thing. This way I know they do not use too much sweetener in their drinks. The lady that ran the stationery station was so nice and helpful and she answered any questions about the pens she recommends and the paper quality of the notebooks. You can try the pens and how they write as they have a sample for each and paper to try them and I bought two pens as I love to collect pens.As far as parking, there's plenty of street parking, but I walked here from the nearby LA Historic State Park. It was nice taking a stroll through chinatown with my matcha latte and then I went back to the park to go for a walk. I would come back to this shop and try the other espresso drinks.“

“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

“If you love hot chocolate, thick and creamy, well then this is your place. I love the churros with guaba sauce (there's like 4 more options ranging from chocolate to dulce de leche). The plates and sandwiches are amazing, too. The wait is well worth it. Just make sure you go early because they are open until 3 pm or 4 pm on weekends.“

“I was in the area for a tire and in desperate need of coffee. I asked the barista which to get and they recommended the horchata latte, I got it with half the sweetener, iced and it was perfect. I even splurged and got a the tomato & mozzarella empanada (also recommend by the barista) chefs kiss! Came with a chipotle sauce of some kind and so fresh. I also opted for the spinach, egg and cheese empanada which was also delicious. Will definitely be back when in the area.“

“Coffee for $5 total! And it’s not small! They also accommodate my service dogs and have never complained. I randomly ended up here after going to ground coffee down the street. They wouldn’t accept cash and it made me so angry that I walked down to this shop, being a loyal customer ever since. I don’t even drink coffee (maybe once a year, when I need the energy for a crazy day) but it tastes that good I keep coming here weekly. Staff members are amazing and deal with a lot while keeping up with the rush. They can get busy at times! It’s definitely a popular place. There’s two small tables outside to sit at and you order at the window outside. It’s cute and has a friendly atmosphere. They have rewards so after 10 coffees you get a freebie. Love this place“
“I recently tried Stereoscope's pour-over coffee, and I must say it was top-notch. Their specialty coffee selection is truly exceptional. One of my favorites is the Guatemala, which offers a delightful blend of flavors including strawberry, grape juice, heavy body, and fudge notes. The brewing process and attention to detail really shine through in every sip. I highly recommend giving Stereoscope's pour-over a try if you're looking for a premium coffee experience.“

“Banger Gelato/ice cream spot. I loved the unique flavors, the cashier serving us was gracious enough to let us try a bunch of flavors, and although there is limited seating inside, the outdoor seats are a vibe. I opted for the Ube Mochi flavor and the pistachio. The ube was very flavorful, and I did enjoy the mochi bits. For mochi being in a cold dessert, it was surprisingly still really soft! classic flavor, but I've never seen it be done gelato style so this was good! The pistachio is classic and it was just so delicious. Pistachio can be hit or miss for me but this place is definitely a hit. I'll for sure be back!“

“I love this place! The coffee is soooo good. Quality espresso and the drinks aren't sickly sweet. I've tried a regular latte and a mocha and love both. You can tell they actually know and care about espresso and provide friendly service. The ambiance is cool but I really don't care because the coffee is so good. As someone with an espresso machine at home I appreciate when coffee shops aren't selling me crappy coffee and it tastes better than what I can make. The Gorgoroth sandwich is also sooo good and huge! I'm surprised at how un-basic it was lol.“

“This Sul & Beans location is nestled onto the second floor of Madang Plaza and alwaysssss busy. I've popped in a couple times and been seated right away but typically at night, you'll wait a bit. Especially on the weekends. There is a huge parking garage but you gotta cross your fingers you don't want to leave at the same time a movie lets out at CGV. If the timing is wrong, you can get stuck in the garage for thirty minutes. I've tried many flavors over the years~~~oreo, strawberry, mango (which is always a star of the show with so much fruit piled on top), red bean - I'm pretty sure I've had them all. I've never had a flavor I didn't like. Patbingsu is always pretty and instagrammable, the dessert at Sul & Beans is no exception. Always great flavor and love bringing friends here.“

“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Los Angeles. Exceptional selection of beans, excellent baristas, and impeccable vibe. Daniel is a particularly talented barista, and his pour overs are among the best I’ve had. I’ve also had the JBS latte, vanilla latte, and the tonic. All are amazing and unique! I appreciate their efforts to create an experience, it’s certainly not another grab and go type of place which is refreshing. “Tiny little bakery, in little Tokyo specializing in Asian baked goods. It was packed so I didn't look at everything they had, but they had plenty of good looking sweet stuff to ruin your Hollywood diet. I just grabbed snacks to take on my travels. I snagged a bag of melon pan and it looks and taste just like anime told me it would. Also got a couple steamed buns, sadly they were sold out of anko, but I got pork and curry. Happy to say that I am now a regular!Since they’re so hidden and rather new, sometimes their business seems a little slow. Don’t let that discourage you from trying it!
