“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. “Excellent kabobs, probably the best I've had in LA in the 5 years I've lived here. It's located in the middle of a residential area, and I had heard about it from so many people so I had to finally try it. I got the beef and chicken combo plate, and the meat was very tender and full of flavor.There isn't really a place to sit down and dine unless you want to sit at the one table out front, it seems like more of a takeout spot. The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly. A true " your friendly neighborhood" type of feel. I really appreciated that.I will add that they are very popular, so I would recommend calling in your order in advance for pickup to save yourself what could be a 1-2 hour wait. Much easier to then just go pick it up when it's ready.Parking: It's located in the middle of a residential area, so you have to find parking along the street. Alternatively, there is a shopping plaza about half-a-block away, and you could just quickly park there if you're picking up.“
“There is not very much seating in the inside and it's a very small space. Luckily it was a nice day outside, so we ate there. The Lulu plate was very good. Great seasoned beef matched perfectly with the rice. The chicken gyro was just okay. I like having tzatziki sauce in the gyro and it was not present. Instead, they make theirs with a sauce similar to mayonnaise, so I don't recommend that unless you prefer a more mayo flavor. Overall, good service and sizeable portions.“

“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. The hummus was wonderfully garlicky and the salad was fresh. All of it was fresh and just so good. The server (counter service) was super friendly and even gave me a small ice cream soft serve to help me pass the ten minutes while I waited for the food prep. The space isn't anything special--really just designed for counter service and takeout but they do have a table and a few stools if you want to eat there. I brought it back to my hotel and it was still hot and fantastic. I am in this neighborhood every few months and will definitely return.“
