“Casual vegan restaurant with Asian cuisine spanning Thai, Chinese, Japanese and more. Menu is all vegan, and has a lot on it - from fancy sushi rolls, to wings, curries, stir fries, rice bowls, and more. The food we had is what I’d classify as “vegan junk food,” heavily fried and not very healthy, but super tasty. We ordered the hot wings, the orange chicken, and the Tom yum fried rice. The orange chicken was good, sweet and savory. For dessert ordered the mango sticky rice which was ?, really yummy. Got home and needed a nap ?Staff was friendly. Food was good. Definitely wouldn’t be able to eat this sort of food every day but was a nice treat.“
“Most people are looking for the next big thing when it comes to restaurants. Spoiler alert, this place isn't new! It's been under your radar for decades. Family run. 2 generations and counting. Just go. Simple dining area. Small, 6 tables. I could go on but you'll get bored. Have a great time! Try something you haven't tried before. You'll love it!Vegetarian options: Just leave out the proteinDietary restrictions: VeggieParking: Open lot with day attentionKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: You have space“
“This is a wonderful place! The service is very friendly and the food is DELICIOUS - super flavorful and unique dishes you can’t find anywhere else. Small parking lot in the strip mall with reserved spots for the restaurant. Will definitely be back & the value for money is excellent. Dine in or take out - you really won’t be disappointed!“
“It says cash only, but they do accept Zelle payments! Super hole in the wall place with delicious coconut cakes, I've tried the regular ones and the mango sticky rice ones and they're so yummy! They have other types and there's BBQ skewers as well, though I haven't tried them.“
“Best thai place I had in awhile. Great value. I had the beef satay and my wife had the chicken satay. Beef satay is bomb. I recommend the cucumber salad over the papaya salad. It had a subway veggies type of taste. My wife is picky and ended up loving it. Be here soon again. 17 bucks average meal.“
“The Kao Soi is soooo good. Next time I get it I will get a side of rice to mop up the rest of the curry. Can't wait to try their omelettes, rice dishes, and desserts. I'm very fortunate to work nearby. I'ma get all of my coworkers hooked so we can have lunches here! Shout out to Misohungry for putting me on to this spot.“
“Best Thai food I've ever had. Their burgers are great, too. Best service ever! I highly recommend the Angry Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and Beyond Burger.Update: This place just keeps getting better. They did such an amazing job helping cater a Harry Potter Party. Thanks so much!!!“
“My daughters review: i love it it's so good I got full so fast because how good it was :D the service was also so nice and amazing. The environment was good to I just love it the cute lighting and just nice. Food was fresh and flavorful. Clean environment. Was welcomed right away when we walked in.“
“After an early appointment we found Cluck2Go by chance! So glad we stopped in because this hai nan chicken is wonderful! We were loyal Savoy Kitchen diners for a long long time but after having Cluck2Go, I had to break things off with Savoy! Although the meal comes on a paper plate, they give you a good serving of chicken and rice. We had the original hai nan chicken as well as the fried hai nan chicken. Both were delicious! The appetizer cucumbers was plentiful but was missing a bit of flavor. The fried chicken wings were good but the star of this place was hai nan chicken!“
“Second visit amazing food, experience has shown smaller selections typically result in more attention to the items being prepared, White Elephant does not disappoint. Inside the Spring St Arcade, a great calm atmosphere with class. As a neighbor I would recommend to those unsure where to eat in DTLA.“
“Best Thai food anywhere nearby, bar none! Owner and his wife serve you personally, make recommendations and cook some of the best food I've ever had. Standard dishes like pad Thai or fried rice with crispy pork or spicy green beans and beef, are made to perfection. They will accommodate allergies ( my wife is allergic to nuts) or whatever level of spice you are comfortable with. You need to try this food“
“Love Thai and the drunken noodles are my favorite specially spicy with shrimpAnd #4 season wow I drove from lemoore that’s 4 hours away this place is worthy of it and it has a tv where u can watch family feud and eat at the same timeWheelchair accessibility: It has handicap parking and wheelchair accessible I’m disabled I have a prosthetic leg and the walk from parking to front door is not far at all“
“I ordered a chicken pad Thai and a Thai tea and my food was great! The person serving us was sweet and the ambiance is cute it felt like being a a studio set for a show from the 90s I think it's the wood paneling ? Either way if you're around the silver lake echo park area and are looking for Thai food with parking then I'd definitely check this place out !“
“Excellent food! A wonderful family run restaurant. My whole family goes crazy for their crab Rangoon and shrimp and veggie tempura. The golden shrimp dumpling curry is also amazing. They just expanded the menu, very excited to try more dishes. Have never been disappointed, and very friendly staff and owners!Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes can be made with tofu“
“Pad Thai: taking off one star for this. They have a tamarind-based sauce, but the overall flavor and prep were totally lacking. Dry as a bone, stuck together, and flavorless. Pretty much just tastes like tamarind paste. Skip it.Beef and broccoli: very tasty, good garlicky flavorIced mint tea: almost flavorless. Would not reorder.Service: fast and excellent“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“Really good food, got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the half bbq chicken & half beef combo! It was a lot of food and so good! Their drinks are so cheap and yummy I got the Thai tea boba! Service is amazing they are so sweet and nice! Can't wait to come back.“
“as someone who has lived in Thailand for 5 years & accustomed to home cooked Thai meals - this place passes with flying colors compared to other Thai restaurants in the United States (esp Southern & Northern California). I was super happy they had Kow Krok Kapi (shrimp paste rice) - it was almost perfect & still yummy enough to introduce a new dish to friends. We had a ton of food family style for a party of 5 adults & 4 kids: 3 appetizers (spare ribs, chicken wings), 3 noodle dishes (tom yum w wide noodles, boat noodles, dry egg noodle), 2 Thai salads (som tum, nam tok), 2 rice-based dishes (fried rice, krok kapi), 4 rotis, 2 "big gulp" size Thai iced teas (equiv to 6-7 glasses) - I might have missed dishes - amazing value for what we paid even *after* recent price adjustments common across restaurants in 2023. A winner if you are looking for reasonably priced authentic Thai food in the Long Beach area.Vegetarian options: while we personally didn't make the request at this restaurant, Thai food can naturally be done vegan ("J") on request.“
“The restaurant had a delicious variety of Thai items. They had a fun take on Tom Ka with rice noodles that reminded me of a Thai version of ramen. ??My favorite dish was their mango sticky rice. The rice was flavored with pandan leaves that made it have an earthy and floral taste. ? I would definitely go back again to try new items and have their sticky rice again! ?“
“This place was great! We ordered the pad see ew and the pad Thai and we loved them both!! We enjoyed them so much that we only have the aftermath photo to share Their service was also great. They were very attentive and the restaurant had a very clean boho vibe to it.“
“Every time that I try a new Thai restaurant, I ask for a Pad Thai. The rationale is that if that staple of Thai cuisine is not well prepared, there is little else to look for in that place. Interestingly, the menu showed the dish prominently, calling it their signature dish. And, boy, they delivered! The flavor was so well balanced, and the noodles were rightly cooked, and with the right moisture, not the mess of sticky overcooked noodles you get some times. The accompanying Chinese eggplant was well prepared, too. 10/10.The same goes for the "fish" dish my wife had. Finally, the mango with sticky rice was sublime. The service was excellent. The seating is ok though.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“This evening was amazing with Rad Na with very softest pork marinaded in front of the silom market! They are here for a while their dishes reminded me of the real Thai street style food in Thailand. You can order many more dishes here such as Pad thai , Pad Siew wok perfectly and many more. Tables are on the side of the street just to make sure you have time to wait to get seated a little. I would really come here more often. Most of the dishes are only 10 dollarsThey are more than just an Asian super market now. Lately I’ve heard that they just started to open Karaoke Upstairs I would definitely come and try for next timeDefinitely recommended 100 percent“
“Always a quick stop for high quality food for a cheap price. Very friendly service and delicious and affordable options. A great choice for lunch or dinner on any night. My go-to is chicken teriyaki but Korean BBQ beef short ribs and Thai BBQ chicken are great options too.“
“This is my first time here in person (usually I order on uber eats which delivery is free ?) and let me tell anyone who reads this the flavor this food has in amazing. Good portions and a reasonable price! And to top it off the owner Jack is such a sweet caring attentive person. He's the reason I will be returning in person just to enjoy a delicious friendly meal. Thank you everyone for the hard work ?“
“Heng Heng Chicken Rice is a hidden gem known for its exquisite Hainanese Chicken and fragrant Garlic Rice. The tender, succulent chicken paired with aromatic garlic-infused rice creates a harmonious blend of flavors that delights the palate. With a friendly staff and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Hainanese cuisine.“
“We love this place. The food captures the mystery and flavors of eastern spices. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. It’s a bit off the walking areas, but the location is at the confluence of busy streets and the 101 so it’s easy to get to the strip center location. Parking is easy.“
“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“This "whole in the wall" is actually very popular. It's small, but that doesn't take away from the vibe. I think this is probably the only place where I'd order boat noodles. The flavor is out of this world. Nothing else like it. Love trying new things and this one does not disappoint. The pad see ew is always a classic dish I like to order. This one was good. Hard to go wrong with pad see ew chicken. The waiter and owner are amazing. Nothing better than being greeted by a friendly face. Very helpful, checking in on us, and happy to see us. That's half the experience so this place gets a gold star. Love it and will be going back soon. Prices are very reasonable as well. Try the boar noodles!“
“Singkawang is one of my go-to authentic Indonesian restaurant that I frequent whenever I'm in the area. My favorite dishes are the Sambal Sticky Beans and Shrimp, as well as the Curry Laksa, both are spicy and flavorful. Nasi Padang and Red Curry is just average.“
“This place has caught my eye for a while and today passed by to try it!It was awesome walking in there! The atmosphere was amazing! The decoration is amazing! I love it!I ordered to go and the staff was very nice, gave me a menu right away and boom! I waited for a few minutes and I was on my way.Next time gonna eat there! Can't wait.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“Food was good.. portions kind of small for the price .. but it was the only Thai place open between the hours of 2pm and 4 pm .. for some reason all the other Thai places in the neighborhood close for lunch between 2 & 4 .. go figure ..“
“A cozy spot with outdoor seating options. Had the best Tom yum soup in LA so far at this place!! It is full of flavor yet not too salty or oily, and it is clean. After dining here, I craved their Thai food for an entire week. All my friends live their food too!“
“Fun time at kinkan! We had the where are we going tasting menu which was cool to experience and learn anout each dish and how the chef came up with it. The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. I think it was great experience but food didn’t feel worth it in the end so I would not go back a second time.Parking: Small parking lot, handful of spaces“
“I've been to other local Thai restaurants but non match the quality and taste of Thai Paradise, this is my go-to placeParking: The parking lot is large, but there are usually a couple of free spots when we go.Kid-friendliness: They are always welcoming and very nice and attentive.“
“Tbh as Thai, this place got the best authentic somtum (papaya salad) in LA. My favorite was the Som Dtum Pla Rha. The richness in flavor was on point and made me feel like home. It was quite spicy tho (even higher than Thai standard), so you gotta be careful. Another must-try is the Tom Saab Soup. It was on the point! Been there several times and will be againParking: $4 for the parking“
“"Hidden gem" definitely describes Eden Thai. It's an unassuming little restaurant, but absolutely worth supporting. The food is great for the price (the pineapple fried rice is my personal favorite), and they have free delivery available. The owners are very sweet as well. Now that the pandemic is over, this place deserves a good update in interior decor to really get people to come in and stay for indoor dining!“
“I absolutely love Thai Angel ! Their fried rice is sooo good and the cocktails were great ! It's the perfect place to unwind with a drink after a delicious meal. Just an amazing place I also want to give a big shoutout to Jamie and Chino ❤️ for the warm welcoming. Can't wait to go back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ???❤️?“
“Oh boy!!!! Their food is so so DELICIOUS. I just decided to try them out for the first time since my fav Thai restaurant(pad Thai bistro) isn’t open on thanksgiving today. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try! My goodness! I got the yellow curry extra spicy, spicy fried rice and it was really good. I expected more spicyness, but it’s okay. And the curry had a little more sweetness to it than what I’m used to. Otherwise, their food is really good.“
“Absolutely loved Oba! Came for my daughter's birthday and the service was amazing, the food was fresh and delicious, and everyone that works there is so nice and kind! My favorite dishes were the chirashi bowl, jalapeño yellowtail, garlic noodles, sashimi plate, shrimp tempura and red curry! It's so great to be able to pick from a Japanese and Thai menu! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!“
“Hands down one of the best Thai snack shop around. I don’t even care if it’s “overpriced” compare to how much it is in Thailand, I get to enjoy my pressed sugary powder milk tablet in the US and that’s all that matters to me.Mid price point because you’ll end up getting a bag full of snacks and it really adds up lol.“
“This place is my go to spot when I feel like eating Thai food. I always get their tom yum noodle which has the perfect balance of meaty flavor and sourness, their pad thai, and lastly, pepper and garlic ground pork with sticky rice. The pork dish is so addicting! I’ve tried this with regular pork and crispy pork, but ground pork suits the best with the seasoning.“
“Have been coming to the Classic Thai for a while now, and it never disappoints. It is a small place but the food is always great and has a fresh taste to it. The service is always fast. Pick-up is also available, and you can order through the phone. The Thai tea is very delicious as well.“
“Amazing options! I especially love the peanut satay and curries. There’s good variety on the menu if folks are craving different things. Very casual on the inside but great service and great for takeout as well.Dietary restrictions: All vegan, baby! I’m not gluten-free but there are plenty of options available as well from what I can see.“
“There’s something about Thai food where even when you don’t know what you want to eat, Thai food will always hit the spot, and so will Daisy Mint. I usually get the drunken noodle with shrimp, green curry with veggies, and the crying tiger.“
“Friendly staff and good (and spicy!) food. It was not very busy despite it being a Saturday dinner night. The place is small but warm and welcoming. This place is known for its papaya salad, and it was pretty good!Parking: Parking in Thai Town can be difficult to find. Make sure to give yourself 5-10 mins to look for a spot.“
“Absolutely stunning ambiance upon walking in and being greeted by the lovely young lady who was also our waitress and server (which she too was AMAZING)! Then we ordered our food and to my pleasant surprise, absolutely everything was delicious and I would gladly give 10 stars if I was able to. Thank you so much for making my dinner with my daughter such a pleasant experience!“
“We stopped by for a quick dinner on our first day in east LA. We had the orange chicken, kung Pao combination, jasmine and brown rice with iced green tea. The portions were large, food was delicious, hot, and the service friendly. It was a great start to the week.“
“The food was excellent. The room was bright and the restaurant was full at lunchtime. A bit on the pricey side though. After lunch my car was stuck in the parking lot. Due to the heat while waiting for AAA to come we sat inside the entrance and ordered 3 more drinks (water and (lemonade). The price was $16.00!! Instead of offering water for free they made another profit while we waited for my car to be towed. We will not be returning.“
“I have been coming here often for the past three months because of how good the food is. The food in the pictures are the Pad Kee Mao, Thai fried rice, Chili & Lemon shrimp saap, and the Chili & Lemon chicken wing saap. The other dishes that are also very delicious are the Pad see ew, BBQ pork fried rice, teriyaki chicken plate and the Tom yum seafood soup. The flavor is great and the price is right. Highly recommend if you are in the area and would like some delicious food!!!Parking: Very limited but you can find street parking if you don’t mind walking“
