“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06“

“I love this place, and I love the people who run this place. The food is amazing, full of amazing fusion flavor. But I think the experience of sitting with your friends and chatting with Bee and Wali, the owners, is great. They have a way of making you feel seen and special. It's honestly a wonderful place and really deserves to be checked out!“

“Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??♂️“

“My first time at Little Barn.. a vegan spot. It was just after the rain so everything was soaked. I could tell that if things were dry then the back seating area would be cute. The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. That was really good. I would definitely try it again.“

“Clean, cute, good service, yummy. I got the Bachos which like a Jamaican nachos. I never had Jamaican food to know but I liked it. Salty for me but I don't add salt to anything and the Frito type chips already come that way I think. I got the lentil as my protein, which was like crumbled falafel. The cheese sauce was like a salad dressing texture and flavor. Reminded me of Cesar salad dressing. I think I found a raisin in there and I didn't mind. Would definitely come back. Thanks for feeding this vegan passing by the area.“

“I love trying new vegan places but finding a new one where you would least expect, is awesome! Showed up around noon and the place was empty. The employees were really courteous and helpful and recommended a few items I should try which made ordering an easy choice. We (family of 5) ended up ordering 2 Chinese combo plates and a taco plate (one of each). Took about 15-20 min to make which isn’t too bad considering I didn’t call ahead. The Chinese food was good but the Taco plate was excellent!!! Definitely going back to try out more of the Mexican dishes. Plenty of parking.“

“I come here WHENEVER I can. The food is soooooo delicious and fresh. Completely made to order so its steaming hot when you get it. My favorite dishes are of course the shrimp but also the lemongrass fish. I've legit ordered this around 20 times. There freshly made juices are also a must, I always get the jade juice when I come, it is such a refreshing treat, well worth the price. If your looking for a nice vegan restaurant don't hesitate to come here.“

“I've had many açaí bowls from different spots and Roots & Rye just hits different. I loooooove that you can get not only the açaí blend but the matcha blend as well. Their portion size of each thing they add in the bowl is also perfect, not too much one one thing or another and there are definitely places that might overdo it on, say, the granola or the blended stuff. I've only been to this location so I can't speak for the other spots but at this one, they only let in a few people at a time which means a line can end up forming outside. I haven't had to deal with a long line before but it can definitely take some time to get everyone through and finally make it inside. Still, one of my favorite açaí places, if not my favorite!“

“This is an absolutely no frills restaurant with about 5 items on the menu, but they do them well. The monta (aka manti, mante) is the star of the show. Unlike other places that take a shortcut by using wonton skins, this place makes the dough from scratch and it really makes a difference. In addition to the baked monta, they also do a soup version in either tomato or yogurt. Their sou boereg ( Armenian cheese lasagna) is good also. All monta is cooked to order, so it does take a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth the wait. Have an appetizer while waiting. You can also visit their sister restaurant in Pasadena, though it's tiny with only two tables on the sidewalk.P.S. I read some reviews saying that monta is supposed to be made with phyllo dough. Uh, no. I helped my mom and grandma make monta from scratch and they use the same dough you'll find here. And I was born in Lebanon, my grandmother was a Genocide survivor. So they know how to make it.“

“I'm not even vegan or gluten-free, I just love the food! The first time I stopped by was for a party I was having and I wanted sweets for people with various dietary restrictions. I wasn't even home before I decided to try one. It was so good, I had to call them and let them know how much I loved it!From what I've heard from other bakeries is... you can do vegan and make it good, or you can do gluten-free and make it good, but it's really tricky to get both together and make it taste right. But Cake Girl makes it taste right! Rich and moist and not too "fake".I refer friends here all the time, and although I normally avoid eating too many sweets, I do love stopping by on occasion for a treat!I love the location and everyone there is really nice!“

“One of my favorite eateries in the world. I’m from France and this is one of the few places that is as indulgent as home with their baked goods. They made me a beautiful birthday cake years ago despite an unusual flavor request. Their biscuit-bun burger is delicious and the terrace is an awesome cozy spot to hang out. A must try if you’re in the area!“

“I asked Vegan AF to cater an event for about 50-60 diverse people and Chanel killed it. Our guests said they would be fully converted to veganism if it meant eating her hand-fried crispy wraps stuffed with a flavorable combination of vegetables and faux meats. This is really important to my family who tease me for being vegetarian. She showed up early so we had time to organize things in the party room to best serve her needs and the flow of the event. The pink containers and branding made sure that everyone who loved her food would be able to find her. There were a lot of designers, so branding was important. Most importantly, Vegan AF complimented the community festival vibe of the night. I look forward to eating Vegan AF again and again as many of the guests that night. Thank you, Chanel.“

“The food is great, a vegan take on soul food, but the wait is ridiculous. I've ordered many times hoping the wait improves, and as of current it hasn't. They open at 6pm and for me that is already late to have a meal, but worse I end up getting my order at least 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. after the designated pickup time. I truly hope the best, but I just can't roll with this.“

“It's hard to find a good pizza place—I mean, one that knocks it out of the park. Rios used to be my jam, but then it took a massive nosedive. Then came The Original Pizza Presto, which has blown any other pizza joint out of the water. The pizza is great, the crust is just right, and the toppings are fresh. That's the one thing that massively stands out. Yes, the freshness of the toppings matters. If you're going to invest your hard-earned bucks, I would rather spend them here. The staff is fantastic, and they continue to deliver top-notch service. Missing out on Presto is a huge disservice. This is the spot for pizza. Yes, they have more on the menu. The chicken and pasta are awesome, and potato wedges are a must.I've said my peace, now enjoy a good meal at Presto's.“

“We went out of our way to try this place on a spring break vacation from Canada. With two celiacs in our party, we were very pleased. The gluten free garlic knot dough is so fluffy! The fresh garlic taste was a bit strong for my daughter, but the adults loved it. The basic gluten free pizza dough was really chewy and tasty, even for the 10-year-old. The adults tried the broccoli crust, which was interesting. I'd be interested to try more crusts if we lived closer! We were proactively asked if there was a gluten allergy, and then told that the kitchen has a separate gluten-free area and oven. I also really liked the EDM playing in the restaurant!“

“I've been coming here for years. I have an aunt that lives nearby so I always treat myself to a lil biónico whenever I'm on this side of town or a large green juice with ginger when I'm in my healthy era lol. Staff is very friendly and can make anything for you as long as they have it. They also have a bunch of snacks you can only get in Mexico. So nice to see a local Mexican spot thriving. “Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“

“Ice cream + donuts is always a hit! Service here is always fast and friendly! I love their Paramoreo donut with Paramoreo ice cream! (Think Cookie Monster Oreo ice cream) My only complaint is that they don't have as much donut options as their sister shop, Donut Friend. Parking can be kind of tricky as it does get busy on sunset and it's street parking only.“

“I visited Grand Central Market for the very first time and this was the first eatery I decided to go with, I was not disappointed! I ordered the Garlic Ramen & Avocado Toast, both without spice. Originally, I didn't know the avocado toast had spice too but someone was kind enough to call me back over to let me know since they realized I ordered my ramen non-spicy. Already a great service to start! The food was ready quick too, and as soon as I tasted the ramen, I was impressed! It was very flavorful, & I liked all the vegan ingredients they used, portion size was also fair. And the avocado toast, it was nothing like I've ever had before! The 'toast' was these crispy rice cakes, crispy on outside and creamy rice inside, it's quite hard to describe, but it's definitely something unique as others have said, and you'd just have to try for yourself! Ultimately, Ramen Hood was a pleasantly unique experience for me.“

“Drumsticks dinner was very tasty , good portion. Pepper steak my friend had was disgusting due to the sweet chilli sauce and hers was with grilled potatoes which weren’t properly grilled and she literally had like 5 slices:/ she left the restaurant hungry. “We walked in and were immediately greeted very warmly by RJ. He made several suggestions and my wife settled in the fish and chips, sweet potato pound cake and RJ suggested the strawberry smoothie for me. My wife loves mushrooms and I can’t stand them, but RJ convinced me to try the “fish” which is made from mushrooms. It actually wasn’t bad at all. The seasoning did a great job of masking the mushrooms. The smoothie was probably the best that I’ve ever had and that damn cake was so good. The atmosphere is top notch. The pictures on the wall were amazing. Keep up the great work RJ, I’m proud to see a young man doing his thing and providing excellent customer service and a great product along with it!“

“Quaint, intimate setting for vegan offerings.Very much enjoyed the experience on a weekday night date with my ?.It began with the Dreamy Green & Strawberry Piña Colada smoothies. Fries were unforgettably good!Creamy Artichoke Spinach Pasta was so tasty & the consistency of the sauce was impressive for being vegan.Ended the night with the Affogato, that included their fresh vanilla ice cream & espresso.Being the Carnivore I am proud to be ? “Great plant based vegan Mexican food. I've been here a few times, and it doesn't let down when it comes to great flavors popping with your tastebuds. I've had something different every time, and it's just great. The vegan asada is delish as well, I would invite those "non-plant based" eaters to come give it a try.Being honest, great food, but a little bit high on the price, but with everything going up these days not much we can do but maybe ask to have a discount day from time to time, or maybe a rewards program to lower price after certain orders, or a free entre after 10 ordered, something like that would be awesome as well. For now bring a date or the family and enjoy.“

“Every time that I try a new Thai restaurant, I ask for a Pad Thai. The rationale is that if that staple of Thai cuisine is not well prepared, there is little else to look for in that place. Interestingly, the menu showed the dish prominently, calling it their signature dish. And, boy, they delivered! The flavor was so well balanced, and the noodles were rightly cooked, and with the right moisture, not the mess of sticky overcooked noodles you get some times. The accompanying Chinese eggplant was well prepared, too. 10/10.The same goes for the "fish" dish my wife had. Finally, the mango with sticky rice was sublime. The service was excellent. The seating is ok though.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place“

“The vegan Oklahoma smash burger was so delicious, I considered getting a hotel near buy, just so I could have it again the next day! The Lord of the fries were great, and just a little bit spicy. I also had the tahini milk shake (vanilla). It had no business being as tasty as it was. I was skeptical, but it was creamy and smooth. It didn't taste exactly like an ice cream shake, but was close and had it's own delicious flavor. I'll try it with Oreo next time.Vegetarian options: Many (if not most) menu items can be made vegan. Like yummy vegan, not, replace the burger patty with a broccoli medley vegan.“

“Let me start by apologizing I'm going on six years living In The neighborhood behind it. And I never bothered to try it out the name was not appealing and the location killed the outside appearance. My wife tried it first went it for lunch with our two sons and got the slice specials. She said I had to try it that it was good she knows I'm a big food critic and foodie. So super bowl Sunday I decided to go in and buy a pizza. Walking in it felt right the youngster behind the counter greeted me with out a funky attitude. I could tell he liked working there that being said i knew then this was gonna be good. Happy employees means great quality. The place was very clean they had some pre made pies on display that you could choose slices from if you don't want a whole pizza. I went with the LG Supreme and also tried 2 slices of what looked like a Buffalo chicken but was told it was actually they're vegan pizza. Still I ran with it brought them home and let me say BROOOOO!!!!. This is exactly what I been looking for a good mom and pop pizza joint with good pizza. The dough was good slightly crispy bomb sauce topping where good and fresh. The sauce was the star of it. What about the vegan slice well ima be real with you it was amazing idk what type of sauce they used but it was good. Next time I'm going lg Supreme and the lg vegan bellflower pizza. Great place great atmosphere, clean, staff was awsome. This is officially our new spot for pizza.“
