“Very happy to have Simply Pasta close by! Love the concept and the execution. Simple and customizable, very generous portions, good value, and--most importantly--fresh and delicious food! This is not like some fast casual joint where you sacrifice quality for price. Ordered takeout: - Penne with meat sauce, sausage, chicken, broccoli, mushroom. - Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. - Fettuccine Alfredo with sun dried tomatoes, olives. - Seafoods Galore: linguine with clams, scallops, shrimp in white wine, garlic, and butter sauce. - Pistachio cannolis. - Fruit tarts. All the pasta was nicely cooked, but not al dente, if that's your thing. Maybe they can do it upon request. The scallops and shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked. Everything was tasty and well balanced in flavor. Nothing was too salty, sweet, greasy, hard, soggy, or dry. Really can't fault anything about the food, which is pretty rare for any kind of restaurant! The desserts were excellent as well and not an afterthought money grab. I love food and consider myself pretty discerning. I'm really quite impressed by Simply Pasta and look forward to coming here a lot. It feels like they put a lot of thought and care into their products and business. I hope they never change and stick around for a long time!“
“Delicious warm bread to start the meal. Two of us had the lamb chops with a chimichurri sauce they were tender, delicious, and perfectly cooked, one medium and the other medium rare. They were also kind enough to split a Caesar salad for us. My husband had the homemade tagliatelle (recommended by our server), perfectly al dente. We ended our meal with a lava cake, oozing with melted chocolate, my new favorite dessert.“
“Food was good, but the biggest downer was the lasagna. Tasted great, but came out cold. I get that it's not made to order, but this was room temperature or lower. A bit unappetizing, and disappointing since it was a cold day and I was looking forward to a nice hot meal. Place was quite, but it was a Tuesday, so easy to have a conversation. Next time I would send the lasagna back to be reheated -“
“This is our first time going to the restaurant. They opened right before Covid. And have been in business for a little over four years. It was easy to get a reservation and we had outside dining on the sidewalk with two heaters. The service was great. Our server was fantastic. Our table, ordered chicken, fish, and pasta, and the quality and proportions were extremely fine. Generous portions. And the prices unbeatable. And they took Apple Pay at Table. Definitely will make this a restaurant for us to visit the future.“
“Came here because it was highly rated and I'm out here on business. I was able to smell this place a block away and it smelled amazing. Got the Cousin Vinny sandwich and it was great, I will definitely be back, when I'm out here for “
“This is my first time visiting Itálico for my birthday! The food is excellent. The service was phenomenal and everyone absolutely delightful. Michael was so attentive and hospitable! He genuinely wanted to get to know my family and I, and was so sweet. Super profesional and kind to all. He made my family feel super welcomed and felt like a queen on my birthday! Our server was also Carlos was absolutely excellent and gave amazing service to us and everyone else!! He was so funny and always made sure we were all good. I recommend everyone try this restaurant! “Title: Authentic New York Slice Oasis in SunnyvaleMy recent visit to this hidden gem in Sunnyvale transported me straight to the bustling streets of New York City. Ryan, our gracious host, curated an unforgettable experience, guiding us through their mouthwatering menu with expertise.Upon Ryan's recommendation, we indulged in their Margherita pizza and ricotta pizza with garlic base, and let me tell you, they were culinary masterpieces. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, reminiscent of the finest pizzerias in NY.The beverage selection was equally impressive, with a delightful array of fountain drinks and a solid lineup of craft beers on tap, catering to every palate. What truly stole the show, however, was the authenticity of the pizza itself. The perfect blend of crispy crust, gooey cheese, and flavorful toppings embodied the essence of New York-style pizza, leaving us craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was the cherry on top, evoking the gritty charm of a New York subway, complete with bustling energy and urban vibes. But what truly set this experience apart was the hospitality. In a heartwarming gesture, Ryan surprised my wife and me with a fresh batch of cannolis, handcrafted especially for us as it was our first time visiting and coincidentally my wife's birthday. Such personalized service is rare to find, especially at a pizza joint, and it left a lasting impression. In conclusion, our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, earning a resounding 10 out of 10 stars. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or simply craving a slice of the Big Apple in Sunnyvale, this place is an absolute must-visit.“
“We are faithful diners at this local neighborhood cafe . The owner is always so cordial in his greeting of us and the staff always are so courteous and have smiles despite the busy atmosphere of this Valentine's dinner . The dedicated menu for the evening was sufficient to please the diverse palates ( though our friend who received the duck breast choice was a bit displeased because the slices were very thin and small compared to what was usually served to others ) but taste wise he said it was very good . The seabass and the lamb choices were delicious ... no complaints there !! We love this cafe and look forward to returning and ordering from their usual menu ( esp. the squid ink pasta which is a FAVORITE ♥️) I highly recommend this cafe for a dining choice ??“
“I don't review restaurants much but I feel compelled to after the quality of the service we received for our dinner at Bellini this week. We'd ordered mushroom ravioli & they forgot to put the mushroom ravioli. We were pretty hungry so didn't care much at the time & enjoyed it (I got the fish special which was pretty good too). While getting the takeout box for leftovers, we pointed out that it was missing mushrooms. On hearing that, the server (owner?) had the kitchen prepare us a full mushroom ravioli. Moreover, we got a full container of soup to go with it! We were blown away by their dedication to leaving the customer satisfied ?“
“My second visit - this time with my husband. Staff was warm and welcoming and seemed pleased to see me again (didn't realize I had made an impression). The restaurant space is what they call "intimate" and "cozy." But it doesn't feel like it. It's airy and lovely. It's the best place to go with friends, family or romantic partners. Again the staff is so welcoming and warm that you feel like you're visiting a friend's house for dinner. But you're not reading this for anything but the food. We started with the airy and lovely calamari - fried with a side of a balsamic dipping sauce. A lovely focaccia with a delightful olive rich dipping sauce came out also. Just when my husband and I thought we couldn't be happier, our mains came out. I had the cinghiale and my husband went for the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. The risotto is very airy and beautiful. You want hardy - the cinghiale (boar sausage) with thick homemade ribbons of pasta will warm your soul. Desserts were wonderful. I had tiramisu while my husband had the pistachio cake. Both were terrific. Tiramisu is one of those things that can be done meh or great. This was great. Ladyfingers soaked in actual coffee had a nice bite (espresso?) with good dusting of cocoa powder to give it some balance with the tender sweetness of the cream. Plan to come back with a couple of my girl friends in the next couple of weeks. Great place to eat.“
“We went here on Easter Sunday for dinner. The place was clean and they have so many pizza options! We tried the Achari chicken pizza and it was absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary Easter special chocolate chip cookie-pie which was so delicious. Really good service and we’ll definitely be going again.“
“Had a great experience when visiting on a Friday evening at 7pm without a reservation. We quickly got a table and got prompt service. They offer cocktails (~$15) both with and without alcohol. I can highly recommend "Last Stand" (Gin, Aperol, Prosecco & perchaud Bitters) or the blood orange mocktail. We had two homemade pasta dishes that were both really tasty (Bolognese & cacio et pepe) and finished with a tiramisu shared between the two of us.The tiramisu was served in a small bowl which sadly meant a high cream to ladyfingers ratio. Still tasty but could have been better.Altogether we paid $130 incl tax and tip.“
“Finally decided to check out as we normally go to Amy's a couple of doors down. After all almost 2 pm . We got coffee at Amy's. lotto Tix at OO LiquorsFor our first time we ordered a couple of slices of Hawaiian pizza, and the Greek Salad. 25 including tip. Pizza gets top marks. We'll be back to try other toppingsParking: Great strip mall. Old and still one of the best. Donuts, booze, pizza, lotto Tix, coffee, dry cleaners, bar and taqueriaKid-friendliness: Twi tablesWheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant“
“Best pizza on this side of the bay! My husband and I have been ordering from Slice House since it opened here and the pizza is always a solid 10. Great flavor, great quality, and the perfect amount of pizza for the price. Service is great too! Staff is always helpful and friendly and the wait time is never too long. The New York style pepperoni and paesano are our faves, definitely stop by if you are in the mood for pizza!“
“It's challenging in California to find a pizza that reminds me of NYC, here they make a delicious pie with "color"! NO BLONDE CALIFORNIA PIZZA!!! The grilled octopus appetizer was delightful, tasty good size on top of arugula...WELL DONE.Tiramisu is delicious. They also have a very nice, albeit small wine selection. We'll be back!!“
“One of the most memorable dinners I had with family. Out of the world Branzino is my top pick of all. My wife picked up Lamb rack and that was also really good. She said it was juicy and tender and perfectly done for her taaste. Kids had similar experience with their food. Drinks were great, environment and sevice were top notch as well. I live closeby bit did not know about this litle gem. I am planning to come more often to celebrate family events. I realize thay have a big room in the back and that is very helpful.“
“LOVE! The food and wine are great. They have a lovely, dog friendly outdoor patio. The service is always good. The Sommelier is knowledgeable and friendly. Best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The pastas and pizzas are incredible. They also have a fun brunch menu!“
“I had lunch at this Italian restaurant on a Thursday afternoon with a former business colleague and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the Grilled Prawns Wrapped with Pancetta appetizer, with the Veal Piccata and the Salmon Nicoise salad as entrees. All of the dishes served were very generous portions. The Grilled Prawns had three very large fresh prawns and was served with a lot of delicious sauteed beans with arugula on top. The dish tasted fantastic. The Veal Piccata was also to die for- served in a rich lemon butter sauce with capers over mashed potatoes and a lot of fresh spinach. Enough to take home for the next day! The Salmon Nicoise salad had an abundance of fresh ingredients and was very tasty. Bread and an olive oil bread dip are served at no charge when seated. We finished off our meal with two traditionally made Cappuccinos that were perfect. Service was also impeccable with exactly the right timing between courses. This restaurant is now on my "return again and again" list! Thank you so much for a great and satisfying meal.“
“Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with coworkers! Parking in downtown Mt View is kinda nuts but the garage is close so def park there. Bread is fresh and a plenty! We had the bouillabaisse, beef and mash, pizza, ravioli and all was amazing. Service was also super friendly and a great overall atmosphere!“
“We were craving a carbonara but we tried plenty of other items on the menu as well. We must have been hungry because we ordered a garlic shrimp and a bruschetta for appetizers. Then a risoto, bolognese, tortellini and a medium pizza Pompeii. For dessert we shared a limoncello tartufo. Service was great. The style was more of an old school Italian, nice sauces, perfectly cooked pastas. The pizza bread was thick kind and the toppings tasty. Our favorites would be the tortellini and bolognese but the rest were equally nice. The dessert was divine and I am usually not a fan of lemon. Bread is served with dinner with butter and a nice dipping sauce.“
“Due to the rainstorm, I didn't want to go very far for food and opted for the nearby cafe. The Café was open and pretty much empty (understandable because I'm sure most people were working from home instead of trying to drive into work). I ordered the croissant and a banana nut muffin. The muffin, you can request to be warmed which I opted for. The egg, cheese, and bacon croissant was delicious, and I would order again. But I am curious about the other items on their menu, especially when it comes to the latter half of the day. There was a lasagne on there that I'm super curious about.“
“Excellent experience with Via Mia! We ordered delivery for 6 family-sized pizzas for a student event, and each one was a hit -- the flavoring was great, and our students loved the variety of halal options! We had barely any pizza leftover. Also had great customer service experience; they were very patient with the large order and delivery radius, and the delivery person themselves was very kind in offering to help carry the large order to the venue (even though parking was difficult). Overall great service and food -- will definitely be recommending to others and ordering from here again for future events.“
“I don’t know why this restaurant doesn’t have a line outside the door! The food is always delicious and fresh. The menu is small but PERFECT. They change things up slightly seasonally and I’ve never eaten anything there that wasn’t 10/10.“
“Fantastic family friendly spot with amazing food. The shrimp and grits app was delicious and the grits were like a polenta cake and had great flavor. The pizza was thin with a little char and good crust. Cesar salad had a really good dressing and was very fresh. The Chicken Parmesan had great flavor, nice lightly breaded chicken with spaghetti. Can't wait to go back and try some more.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families enjoying dinner.“
“We met up with friends. When asked what was good we said everything We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thai beef salad, tacos, pastas. The restaurant was quite busy. We were not rushed and we enoour time there. The noise level was a bit higher than usual including some pounding in the kitchen.“
“This place looks like an old fashioned diner. The food was great and service was quick. I loved the fries. They’re the thick cut fries (but not steak fries) and they’re crispy, not soggy. They also offer local sodas! I’d definitely come back!Vegetarian options: My nephew is vegetarian and came here specifically to get their garden burger with fries.“
“Great experience, we were welcomed with warmth and personal attention from the owner/chef as well as our amazing server. Great food over all and multiple options for everyone including vegan/vegetarian and gluten free. Decent wine list and comparatively not over priced. Highly recommended.“
“This unassuming place was such a refreshing treat! The ambience was absolutely lovely.Mains were average but desserts were outstanding. We got the tiramisu and triple chocolate mousse going by all the reviews here. The chocolate mousse was impeccable. Will be coming back for more of the mousse for sure :)“
“We walked in for weekend lunch without reservation and were seated right away. We ordered a Salsiccia pizza to share, along with prosciutto burrata and grilled octopus. The pizza wasn’t too salty, and the tomato sauce well-balanced with other ingredients. The most impressive part was the pizzas crust—it was soft and tender, reminiscent of pita bread (if that’s your thing), and we were quite satisfied. Prosciutto burrata was refreshing and worth ordering! But the octopus was too tough too chewy, I wouldn’t recommend it.Overall it’s a decent place to go if you’re craving pizza and Mediterranean food. Also it’s good for gathering no matter large or small group.“

“Best paneer pizza I've ever had. The quality has remained excellent even after so many years. The dough is made in house, the paneer is generous, the pizza is tasty and looks great.I ordered a half and half medium size pizza - Vijayawada paneer and Butter paneer.“
“I've been a regular here for years. Love Donato and his entire staff. ❤️ Last time I visited also met a friendly couple who not only bought me dinner, but offered to crew me for one of the hardest ultra runs on the planet. So kind!!“
“Our experience here was wonderful! Excellent food, the most delicious and addictive bread service, and amazing service. The waiters and bus boys were very kind and accommodating. This is the type of service I expect from restaurants, that I don’t see often in the Bay Area, but this was a great experience and we will be back! Special thanks to Will, he was great.“
“As an Italian always desperately trying to find good pizzerias in the USA…. I think I have found my favourite one. Ingredients are fresh and authentic, and the pizza is just SO GOOD! And not heavy at all! Because that’s how a pizza should be: an healthy meal! Definitely worth it, spend all your money there, great Italian food guaranteed.“
“Great food! Ordered at the counter and sat for dinner. My mom enjoyed her chicken and salad. I really liked my tortellini with chicken. Foccida bread was good! Felt compelled to order a pizza to go after seeing how they were making it so fresh. SO glad we did. Marg Pizza was so good!“
“Always busy. Pizzas are generally good and taste best fresh from the oven so dine in rather than take out. We usually get a mix of vegetarian and meat pizzas and some salad. I like the fungi, capricciosa and salsiccia and fungi pizzas. It would be nice if they offered a spicy pizza or chili flakes/calabrian pepper oil. Service is brusque and efficient but not particularly friendly or warm. The restaurant itself is usually very warm with the pizza oven running. We were celebrating a birthday on the last visit and felt rushed because they wanted to turn over the table.Parking: Usually plenty of spots since it shares space with a cost plus and other businesses that are only open during the day time.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. No kids menu, coloring or other kid friendly accommodations“
“This is a pretty good sandwich shop but goodness every time we come here it's EXTREMELY SLOW! You can wait upwards of 30+ minutes for sandwiches. We even went at what I thought was an off hour (around 2pm on a Sunday) and we still waited 20-30 minutes for two sandwiches.I did enjoy my sandwich last time though - turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo on Dutch crunch bread. Bread didn't cut up my mouth or break my teeth (a problem I've had with some other Dutch crunch bread at some places)... ingredients tasted fresh and overall sure I'd come back but not if I'm in a hurry.“
“Okay, chill spot to hang out and write reports. Coffee shop vibes, friendly and inviting. Incredibly helpful and ... for lack of better words, a nice soul.I enjoyed basking in their glow engrossed in my own works. When done is done, it was like leaving a spa.“
“Everything about this place is awesome. From the manager to the hostess , everyone is greeting you with a smile. There's no member of their staff that don't seem to not want to be there. Everything there is a positive vibe. Cheers.“
“He just kept mumbling something about Il Fornaio in Mountain View, So I ask the Weasel what the hell's in Mountain View, we're almost to San Francisco and if you want Italian food we'll go to North Beach and get it.We must have Trimshoen at least 40 Flangler Hips down at the Hatbox Canyon Ranch for old Peckerwood Johnson, and we were tired and hungry. I took my pal Weasel along to keep the Higgliediggers sharp, ready and full of oil, and he did nothing but complain about everything, and now he wants to stop at the Mountain View Il Fornaio Italian Restaurant for some pasta, he says it's the best in the bay area! 5 stars he says ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Great birthday celebration dinner. Very good appetizer, calamri, grilled octopus, bruscetta and delicious main dishes, spagetti bolognese, seafood risotto. Creme Brule and napolean for dessert and all served with a smile and attentive service. We will return and highly recommend.“
“Si nice to have a good Italian restaurant in Menlo Park! The outside patio is super cute and weather doesn't seem to make as big a difference as one may imagine. They have a covered area and big heaters throughout. The staff is friendly and the servers quite knowledgeable and offer suggestions for your meal. They do recommend family style (sharing) but we also got a couple of individual items. The pizza is probably my favorite part - it's a sourdough crust, which is probably why it's a close second only to the pizza I've had in Rome. Plenty of options for vegetarian/pescatarian folks, which we appreciated! Pictured are the octopus w tomatillo salsa verde and potato, and the vongole en crosta, which were killer! They are clams steamed INSIDE calzone-like pocket of love. Vongole is served table side where they add olive oil and fresh lemon juice. So good!“
“The mushroom soup was scrumptious. The crab cakes were lovely! I don't usually actually like crab cakes but these were flavorful and perfect. The truffle mushroom ravioli was great.Wonderful service; like genuinely nice and attentive. We sat outside - good placement of heat lamps. Forgot to take photos; next time!“
“This is a great place in Los Altos with amazing Italian food. We tried this out for valentine's day and it is was amazing. Definitely planning to come back here. Especially loved their decaf cappuccino. Their chicken picante and chicken alfredo fettucini were amazing. However the one con was: They have a 2 seater table right next to the station where their water/napkin refill happens, and it is a a really horrible seating in the house. One of the servers accidentally broke a glass while doing some work next to us and the glass shards fell on us. This was before the food came, and I had half a mind to leave. But thankfully the more generous side of wife prevailed and we stayed. And it was worth, because the food was amazing.“
“I have FOUND my pizza!! From the fresh, delicious crust to the plentiful toppings! I’ve been looking for a good pizza in the Redwood City area and was pointed towards vesta- which is not to my liking at all!! I recommend you try New York pizza, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!“
“We are regulars here. During Superbowl Sunday, we placed our order online, waited two hours, and it did not show up. I called to ask if it was lost. They made the next size larger pizza and sent it out at that point without further delay. So, a mistake was made, but once realized, they did their best to make it right. It has been a long time since this happened, but it is not the first time. Consider placing your order over the phone or confirming it by phone if you have a really important delivery order.“
“This spot is worth the trip. Great service, great atmosphere and the pizza crust is a piece of art. Perfectly soft with some crunch, great flavor, but the real differentiator is the lightness. The lightness means it was cooked absolutely perfectly, tasted like pizza from Florence!“
“Really like this place! We go here after hikes nearby. Haven't been disappointed. My hiking partner has a very restrictive diet. She is able to eat pizza again with all of the various options available.Dietary restrictions: Dairy, gluten, shellfish, eggs...many others“
“It's a small restaurant with a couple of tables inside and most of the tables outside, which is where we sat for lunch today. We had the Tuna Panino made with Tuna, capers, radishes with arugula and hard boiled egg. The Pollone is organic chicken breast, endive slaw. capers, onions over a ciabatta roll. Both were very tasty and the chicken breast was very tender and moist. We also ordered some plain croissants and bombolini to go. We ate one of the bomolinis at the restaurant and it was really good!“
“Went for Valentine's Day lunch with my husband. It felt festive with all the heart decorations. Food was excellent and as expected, pricey. Husband had the Quattro burger which was juicy and delicious. I had the salmon dish which was really good. The salmon was cooked just perfect, crispy skin and tender and moist. We shared a side of onion rings which were so good, We had the panna cotta and the apple cake for dessert. Both were yummy! The service was also wonderful. It was attentive, but not overly so and everyone was friendly and nice. This place is definitely fun to go to for a special occasion.“
