“Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with coworkers! Parking in downtown Mt View is kinda nuts but the garage is close so def park there. Bread is fresh and a plenty! We had the bouillabaisse, beef and mash, pizza, ravioli and all was amazing. Service was also super friendly and a great overall atmosphere!“
“Everything about this place is awesome. From the manager to the hostess , everyone is greeting you with a smile. There's no member of their staff that don't seem to not want to be there. Everything there is a positive vibe. Cheers.“
“Great experience, we were welcomed with warmth and personal attention from the owner/chef as well as our amazing server. Great food over all and multiple options for everyone including vegan/vegetarian and gluten free. Decent wine list and comparatively not over priced. Highly recommended.“
“He just kept mumbling something about Il Fornaio in Mountain View, So I ask the Weasel what the hell's in Mountain View, we're almost to San Francisco and if you want Italian food we'll go to North Beach and get it.We must have Trimshoen at least 40 Flangler Hips down at the Hatbox Canyon Ranch for old Peckerwood Johnson, and we were tired and hungry. I took my pal Weasel along to keep the Higgliediggers sharp, ready and full of oil, and he did nothing but complain about everything, and now he wants to stop at the Mountain View Il Fornaio Italian Restaurant for some pasta, he says it's the best in the bay area! 5 stars he says ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Always busy. Pizzas are generally good and taste best fresh from the oven so dine in rather than take out. We usually get a mix of vegetarian and meat pizzas and some salad. I like the fungi, capricciosa and salsiccia and fungi pizzas. It would be nice if they offered a spicy pizza or chili flakes/calabrian pepper oil. Service is brusque and efficient but not particularly friendly or warm. The restaurant itself is usually very warm with the pizza oven running. We were celebrating a birthday on the last visit and felt rushed because they wanted to turn over the table.Parking: Usually plenty of spots since it shares space with a cost plus and other businesses that are only open during the day time.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. No kids menu, coloring or other kid friendly accommodations“
“A great meal with friends. There were 8 of us so we got a variety to taste. Caesar salad, aroncini, penne with sausage, lasagna with bolognese sauce, fruti de mare with risotto and pomodoro, tiramisu, amaretto cheesecake and creme brulee. There was bread on the table as well with a nice dipping sauce. Service was excellent, our waters refilled as needed. They checked on us to make sure we were ok.“
“We are regulars here. During Superbowl Sunday, we placed our order online, waited two hours, and it did not show up. I called to ask if it was lost. They made the next size larger pizza and sent it out at that point without further delay. So, a mistake was made, but once realized, they did their best to make it right. It has been a long time since this happened, but it is not the first time. Consider placing your order over the phone or confirming it by phone if you have a really important delivery order.“
“We walked in for weekend lunch without reservation and were seated right away. We ordered a Salsiccia pizza to share, along with prosciutto burrata and grilled octopus. The pizza wasn’t too salty, and the tomato sauce well-balanced with other ingredients. The most impressive part was the pizzas crust—it was soft and tender, reminiscent of pita bread (if that’s your thing), and we were quite satisfied. Prosciutto burrata was refreshing and worth ordering! But the octopus was too tough too chewy, I wouldn’t recommend it.Overall it’s a decent place to go if you’re craving pizza and Mediterranean food. Also it’s good for gathering no matter large or small group.“
