“A relative newcomer to the pizza scene, Omar and his staff, are rocking a truly super slice. I was skeptical at first when I was charged $8 for a slice, until I realized that these slices are twice the size of ordinary slices, and they taste really good. The dough recipe here falls somewhere between California and New York pizza, with a hearty wheat flavor that stands up to the sauce and cheese. Think if you crossed the cheese board with Arinell's. Located in the former location of armadillo Pizza, in this Asian mini mall, Super Slice also has assemble-it-yourself model where you build your own pizza, and salads with fresh vegetables and greens, and an ice cream cooler with Ben and Jerry's, Haagen Dass, and moreWhat's not to love? Giant slices, great pizza, cool people, good prices, and a convenient location.I super recommend Super Slice Pizza.”
“Nori Roll is a great family owned sushi restaurant that I am very happy to have called my “local sushi spot” while I lived in El Cerrito area. The rolls taste fantastic and the fish is fresh. Their tuna and Hamachi dishes were our favorites!A couple of notes: It’s a family run business, and the restaurant is incredibly popular in the evenings during dinner time. They at times are overwhelmed with the number of orders. I’m mentioning this because you must know to have *Patience* when doing takeaway/takeout during peak hours. I’ve seen some very hangry people treat them poorly, and it’s sad because they do not deserve it.”
“After noticing Guru take over an old Chinese food spot, have been trying to have a meal for a couple of months now but we keep trying to eat dinner at 430pm . Finally made it in and I think it's my new fave Indian spot in the area (sorry Cafe Raj). Friendly service, clean dining room. Quick service! The best chicken I've had in a curry in that it wasn't dry and over cooked; same with the prawns- perfectly cooked! We had aloo palak, chicken coconut curry, prawns tikka masala, veggie biryani, onion naan and chicken momos- after tax = $83! Great value!”
“We had reservations for 6 of us.Menus were on tablets that were on the table for guest to viewWe order appetizers plus 6 main dishes.Every dish was beautifully presented and very delicious. Our waiter was funny, helpful and polite in our likes and dislikes. He was very attentive to our needs which made our first time very memorable..The Flan dessert was so good and tasty.I will definitely go back.Extra points for having easy parking too.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and welcome families with toddlers”
“Low-key best Nepalese restaurant in the East Bay. Excellent meat and veg entrees, very reasonable prices, even in 2023. They have a great thali dinner selection, when thalis (or any combo really) are becoming an endangered species around here.”
“Stay true to the authenticity, Larb Thai is a hidden gem in a small strip mall along San Pablo. Their menu has not changed much because they don’t need to. All are very good. I do miss the specials they used to have which were incredibly Thai. Daily menu’s favorite for me are THE rice ball salad, larva, pad de ew, drunken noodle and boat noodle. Khao Soi, of course pad Thai. Although the lemongrass chicken was good too! Service was attentive. Dining area is tastefully decorated. It is my family’s perennial favorite since it was introduced to us by a professional foodie.Vegetarian options: All dishes that can be made to vegetarian are clearly marked.Kid-friendliness: high chairs”
“You want hole in the wall with zero ambience but great food at excellent prices? This be your strip mall find. I can't say it's the best Banh mi ever. The bread is just not the perfect crunchy chewy and flavor needs just a bit more of a kick. But it's a hella good banh mi for the price and hits the spot. They don't take credit cards so be prepared with grubby cash. The other prepared items were yummier than the banh mi so I might just go for a salad or spring roll next time. Anyway, definitely worth it when you're hungry.”
“Menu on the pricier side and nothing stood out. We ordered the breakfast burrito and breakfast bagel, food was mediocre. The person at the shop was not very friendly either.Kid-friendliness: Store front patio has 2 small tables. Room for kids to roam around.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Order at the counter with outside seating.”
“I’ve been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. They have a pretty good size menu with not only rolls but also other options such as bowls and salads. We ordered the Bay Area roll and double spicy ca this time around along with gyoza and tuna nachos all super delicious!Parking: It’s in a the plaza so there’s is always plenty of parking”
“Ok, I have to agree with the other reviews. Some of the best food from a food truck. We ordered a carnitas regular burrito, fish super burrito and steak fries. Steak fries had a good amount of steak and the fries were not soggy. Surprisingly both burritos had a good amount of meat and fish. The only difference between a regular and super is that the super has guac. The service was quick. We didn't eat at their patio, we took our food to go. But their seating area was nice for an outdoor space. Definitely going back again.”
“I have been here several times with the whole family. Highly recommended this place to anyone interested in tasty and fair priced Sushi. Try their bento box!Stopped in most recently for Valentine’s Day (also my mothers birthday)! Despite the pressure of being full with customers, the polite servers brought out every dish, giving my mom an amazing birthday dinner! We will be DEFINITELY be back. :)Thank you to our waiter who took the photo, you were very kind and helped make a very special birthday!”
“First time here, and I have to say that our experience was good. Everyone was very welcoming and had a smile on their faces. Rosie was are waitress, she was very kind and helpful. My husband and I loved that it had an old school dinner atmosphere. BUT with a Mexican twist. We have dined at many dinners across the country and have never came across a dinner (cafe) like this. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends and family about this spot.”
“Typically neighborhood bar. No food served. Basic fun place. Ppl come here to watch the games, have a great time, and live their life. I'm not too impressed but it will work while I wait for a friend. I'm early for the Halloween Party”
“If you are ever craving a really good burger... this is the place. American cheese burger with a side of fries....it is messy because it is good. Highly recommend & the staff are so nice.”
“This is my new favorite place. It was so good. I've only been here once but I'll definitely be going back. And it's only two blocks from where I live, so it's super convenient. But I'm sad now because I'm moving back to South Carolina and don't think that I'll be able to find Guatemalan food there. I'll be a regular here until I leave. I had the dobladas and the estofado de res, or beef stew, and both were delicious. The dobladas are like empanadas. The pastry isn't flaky like Argentinean empanadas, so they're a little different. They're plump with more stuffing than pastry. There are four in an order, and they come in beef, chicken, or vegetables. The meat stuffing was mixed with carrots and peas, which I liked. The woman taking my order said I could get a mix, so I got two chicken and two beef. Both were delicious. They came with sour cream, grated cheese and guacamole on the side. I don't understand the reviewer who said they lacked flavor. I thought they were very good. I'd order them again. I'd like to try the vegetable one, too. The estofado de res wa also very good, with chunks of tender beef, potato and carrots in a tomatoey gravy. It came with a scoop of rice and potato salad. My mother is from Spain, and the potato salad reminded me of the kind they make in Spain, with peas and carrots. I enjoyed it a lot. I got my order to go, and the ladies who work there gave me a complimentary cup of alote de etol, the warm sweet corn drink, while I waited. It was also very good. My food was ready so fast I had to take it to go. I didn't take any photos because I was too busy eating. I couldn't finish all of the food in one meal, so I saved about half of it for lunch the next day. I can't wait to try their other dishes soon :-) Ambience is casual. The dining area itself is small. Free parking in the back with a disabled spot at the front of the driveway. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Price 4/5”
