“A friend who frequents this establishment brought me for lunch today with another friend. Being a vegetarian I was impressed by the selections I would love to try. I ended up ordering the salmon, scallop, spinach cream pasta with capers. It was delicious! My friends ordered the pork katsu and hamburger combo and it looked awesome. The portions are so generous and it comes with soup and salad for the combo and mine came with a small salad and homemade bread. And the family run restaurant is very service oriented, friendly and a very clean and comfortable place. Highly recommended”
“We meet with some friends to catch up after several years and ended up staying for 3 hours. The staff kept the drinks and food coming and everything tasted fresh. Only nice thing would be to have descriptions for the rolls.”
“I was really craving the jokbal I used to eat in Korea, and this place delivered exactly that taste! The meat was tender and chewy, perfectly seasoned—just like back home. The kind and considerate service from the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. The kongguksu (soybean noodle soup) had a rather mild flavor, not particularly rich, but it was decent and ordinary.”
“I have been going here for a while. Food is consistently good. The owners are very kind. Food is not salty but flavorful but just in case you want it salty they do have salt and pepper on the table. My girlfriend and I love to choose number two and number three in the menu.”

“Stumbled across Oh! Banzai on an IG ad….stopped by for lunch because I was in the area. What a gem! Had the eel sunomono (light and delicious!), and a few hand rolls. Really lovely place, great service, food is fresh and feels like a higher level dining experience than the price suggests. Definitely coming back”
“I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wake Sakura in Gardena! It’s located on the second floor of the Tokyo Central market, which is a cool experience in itself. The restaurant has a sleek, modern, and clean atmosphere that feels very authentic.
You order everything on a tablet at your booth, and the plates are delivered directly to you on a high-speed conveyor belt, which is both efficient and fun to watch.
But the star of the show was, without a doubt, the Tuna Lovers plate. If you are a fan of tuna, this is a must-order. The quality was exceptional, especially for a conveyor belt-style restaurant. It featured a beautiful variety of cuts, from lean, clean-tasting akami to the rich, melt-in-your-mouth fatty toro. Every single piece was incredibly fresh, had a great texture, and was served on perfectly seasoned rice.
The quality of the fish here is a clear step above other conveyor belt spots. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for any sushi fan, but especially if you love high-quality tuna!”

“A+ Food, Service and atmosphere is Amazing and the serving staff is very courteous attentive and kind. They showed a great amount of patience and care when taking my elderly parents order and that is greatly appreciated and they were very happy and we will definitely be visiting again.”
“Very friendly staff, easy parking, reasonable prices.
I got the Thai Boat Noodle Soup and it was flavorful and rich but slightly salty. It had lots of meat pieces and I liked the pho noodles. The portion was perfect for filling me up, but I don't eat that much.
My wife liked the tofu green curry. It was very lemon grassy.
Overall, I would come back to try other dishes.”

“Gardena’s gem of a restaurant. Great food, atmosphere all with authentic food with a Hawaiian flair. I enjoyed a kalbi bento (it’s not on the menu but they will gladly make it for you with double Mac salad). I also had the famous chili which is THAT good. Not pictured is the somen salad which is a family recipe and is always a must. Leonard and his staff are friendly and engaging like our server Nancy.”
“Standard dining environment but I love the food, and service. Especially love the picks on the nigiri’s (very tender and the cut of the tofu is spectacular). Hopefully chef Daniel will make the crab rice again in future.”

“I trully love this place. Everyone that works there gave me so much information and have wonderful personalities. They make you feel like part of their family. Things that I didn't know as a senior I'm learning. Their teas and smoothies are great, they have help me out so much, and I can tell it by the way I feel.A large portion of my family go there now and the ones that don't I will be passing on the word so they can go. I live in lancaster and I hate the ride down there because of the traffic but this herbal place has been such a blessing I don't mind taking the ride. Please go by and try them out. It is such a blessing to my life.”
“Absolutely blown away by this amazing Chinese restaurant! We started with the Beijing duck, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve had—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. You could taste the quality and care put into every bite.
We also ordered the fried chicken wings, and they were packed with flavor—perfectly crispy, seasoned just right, and seriously addictive.
The char siu, sausage, and shrimp fried rice was a total standout. Every bite was loaded with rich flavor and generous portions of meat and seafood, making it one of the most satisfying fried rice dishes I’ve had in a long time.
The fried tofu was also delicious—crispy on the outside, soft and silky on the inside, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce.
On top of the amazing food, the waitress was super friendly and kind, which made the experience even better. Will definitely be back to have some more!”

“Stopped by here from LAX craving Korean food and was very impressed. This place has authentic, delicious Korean food, and their side dishes are amazing! We ordered their bossam combos with kimchi jjigae and soybean soup, which was a great value. Highly recommend!!”
“Cute little shop in a busy shopping plaza. Parking can be tough, especially weekend or evening. Friendly service and fast turnaround since not beeesy.
Got Honey Affogato & Iced Honey Tea.
Both are delish, especially the ice cream with coffee and honey...soo tasty and delicious.”
“Was craving Thai food and was on our from LA to Orange County. Found this place to have excellent reviews on google. We ordered pad Thai , basil chicken and shrimp fried rice. The food tasted extra ordinary. Haven’t had such amazing food in a long time , that not only tasted exceptional but looked great as well. The service was awesome as well and so was the ambiance. Would definitely recommend.”
“I love me a dinner (lunch) & a show! Thank you for accommodating us with the window seat as requested! So glad a spot opened up, I've been wanting to take my bf here. We had their wagyu 917 burger with their duck fat fries upgrade, salmon with risotto, and roasted carrots. Although their roasted carrots were a bit too oily, it was still really good. A medium done on the wagyu burger - so juicy and tasty! Not dry at all. Their salmon was okay (could've used a little more seasoning or some lemo zest) but the risotto under was great, needed more of it! Their Porsche-shaped butter along with the warm pretzel sticks was okay, it was a cute presentation though (just not a pretzel bread girly). Their staff was very accommodating and always checked up on you. And you can't go wrong with watching the cars just drive around the tracks and drifting while you eat. Definitely recommend!”
“First time visiting this store, the lady at the register was helpful with helping me pick the best drink for myself. I do wish I was greeted when I entered the store; instead the lady mopping just looked at me, but spoke to the family that walked in immediately after me & I would hate to pull the race card. Other than that interaction, the experience was fine.”
“Authentic A5 Wagyu served perfectly as if we were back in Japan! Arigato gozaimasu! It is pricey but very good quality. Very clean inside and has great tea options also.”

“I just ate here for my birthday on Saturday. I have been to Belize and this food took me right back there. The owner Leslie, is from Belize and is very friendly and attentive, as his the staff. Phenomenal food, and large portions. Get the sampler platter for your appetizer, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are ever in Gardena, you should stop here. Gardena Cinema is a few blocks away, and is also fantastic. The restaurant closes at 7pm, and most shows start at 7:30, so it makes for the perfect evening.”
“I have been coming here for five years now and when I tell you, their food is fresh it is made to order and it is so good, I mean it. The service is superb. The people are so nice and the restaurant itself is very clean and it smells so good in here.. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.”
“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.”
“The food were really good and be careful their size. Comparing to most japanese restaurants, their food size is huge. We were over ordering.
They also have so many things on menu we wanna try”
“Best Korean restaurant in the LA or South Bay area if you’re looking for authentic home style Korean cooking! Menu has a good variety of dishes that are cooked so good 😋 Small place but food and service is fantastic. They have the best banchan(side dishes). Check it out when in Gardena you won’t be disappointed.”
“Me and the family came here during the week to try something new. Saw the food and menu and thought let’s do it.
Came in and got seated right away. Inside looks great with a lot of room and the staff was very friendly.
After looking over the menu, we picked more items than we thought we could handle. But all of it was amazing.
We ordered TTEOK BOKKI with ramen and cheese. Tasted great. Great texture and taste
Come with the Korean Style Spicy chicken. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and a hint of spice that gives it a great flavor.
Lastly we ordered the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Just as the chicken, amazing. Spicer than the chicken by a tad but amazing taste
We ordered rice with it which probably why we didn’t finish half of the portions of each dish. The employees felt we didn’t like it but we took it home to eat again the following day!
Must try in the Gardena area. :) thank you!”

“Came here for breakfast while traveling in Washington. Establishment seems to be well managed and well maintained. Matthew was our server and did an excellent job of taking care of us. We ordered the Breakfast Sampler, which I believe used to be called the Grand Slam. It came with two eggs, three meats, hash browns, and buttermilk pancakes. Breakfast of champions! We were quite satisfied when we left to hit the road to Forks, WA. We would definitely return if we were ever in the area.”

“This is said to be the oldest and most beloved mochi shop in the area.
We picked up a 10-piece assortment that included ohagi, injeolmi mochi, steamed buns, and various manju.
The store itself looks like it’s barely hanging on—honestly, you might walk right past it if you didn’t know what you were looking for.
But the flavors are simple, clean, and feel homemade. No artificial aftertaste or overpowering sweetness—just old-school comfort.
I especially liked the ohagi and the cinnamon manju.
One of my companions loved the injeolmi mochi and also the cinnamon manju, while another really enjoyed the steamed bun and the white bean-filled manju.
If you appreciate traditional flavors and a nostalgic, home-style vibe, this place is worth checking out.”
“I love this place for at least 3 generations my family has been coming here. It makes me think of my grandmother as this was always a treat me and her would go and get just the two of us and share with no one else. It was like our place and being a family and seeing a family and speaking like family all my life I just love this place. I always want 16-20 pieces half and nori and inari.”
“I have been going here for a while. Food is consistently good. The owners are very kind. Food is not salty but flavorful but just in case you want it salty they do have salt and pepper on the table. My girlfriend and I love to choose number two and number three in the menu.”
“Just found this local place. Brisket, Pork Ribs, Hot link are fire. Got the Mac and cheese plus Baked Beans also good. Beans had a deep smokey flavor which I loved. Owner threw in some Tri-tip and it was fantastic👌. The meats were properly seasoned and savory. Definitely recommend this place.”
“I had the mini Katsudon combo (bottom) and my boyfriend had the Nikuyasai Soba (top) and as our first time here we were very impressed! Everything had so much flavor, our waiter was very attentive and kind. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for an authentic experience. Would definitely come again”

“We got the duck combo plus the table-side fried rice and it was quite hefty. Can probably feed a good 4-5 people. The duck is grilled with potatoes, rice cakes, mushrooms, garlic & chives and the combo of everything works well and takes away from the usually gamieness associated with duck. The bean paste dipping sauce was probably my fave. The kimchi fried rice was pretty serious as it even had japchae in it. Combo also includes kimchi pancake, steam egg, corn cheese, bean paste soup. Definitely not your typical Kbbq spot, in a good way, and I dig that they specialize in things like duck and intestines, which I'll be trying on my next visit. Bonus points too for being close by in the South Bay where I live.”

“I just want to thank Miss Poima K for her professionalism and kindness. She is so amazing thank you so much.We were there to order a birthday cake, Miss Poima was such a good listener and made wonderful suggestions. She paid attention to every detail. You’re the best! A million thanks!”

“First, I like to clarify the two store names (Paran Poong Cha and Blue Windmill Bakery) are the same bakery located at 15200 S. Western Ave. So my review applies to both names. This is our second time at the store and this time we bought a mini blueberry cake and 4 red bean buns. The blueberry mini cake is good, not too sweet and you can see the fresh blueberries. The fresh creme is not as light and fluffy as Angel Maid's in West LA and the cake is a little denser than Angel Maid's. Overall, the cake is enjoyable and is good alternative to Angel Maid's. Next, the red bean buns are, black sesame, sweet potato and traditional red bean bun. I have not seen so much red bean filling in a bun and when you pick up the bun, you can feel how heavy the bun is. The buns are very tasty if you enjoy red bean. The sweet potato red bean is a lovely surprise, it's one of the best we tried. The filling is a mix of red bean paste and sweet potato paste, so creamy and delicious, It's a hit in our family. Finally, the owner is very generous, she gave us two types of red paste buns to try. The red bean buns are between $3.50 to $4 each. We will definitely be back again! Note, they are closed on Sundays!”

“My favorite shoe store.
They always have spevials and now the Skechers shoe line has all kinds of goodies for winter for work etc. Plus when you are in store you get much better prices than online today I got over 30% discount.
Ulta the food outside oh good. I got the hot dog and it left me wanting for more
Totally recommended”
“By far the best sushi I’ve ever had! The quality here is unmatched—the sushi is extremely fresh and cannot be beat. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, and it was made to absolute perfection with beautiful presentation and incredible flavor.
Not only was the sushi outstanding, but the Udon noodles were unbeatable—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This place really delivers on taste, quality, and overall experience.
I will definitely be back in the future. If you’re a sushi lover, Sushi Island is a must-try!”
“We needed a birthday cake ASAP for a new employee's birthday, they were available on Postmates so we weren't sure what we would get! OMG we were sent the Strawberry Shortcake 7" cake. It was moist, not too sweet, with fresh strawberries. The best part was the real cream frosting! Thank you for making our last minute birthday lunch a success, we've found our go-to bakery!!!”

“This place is really good. 1st time at this place. Have driven by this place many times. Menu is very simple. Plates are very generously portioned and sauced meat. You get a toasted hamburger bun as a sided bread it's good. Customer service was good as well. The hamburgers are good as well however the meat patties are thin Incase your a super meat lover you might want to add a patty or two. Will be returning.”
“Hands down, one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. Everything that was served was top-tier. You can tell the owner cares deeply about the quality. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. All of their recommendations were delicious! This is my new go-to sushi spot and I’m already counting down the days until I come back!”
“I was thrilled to discover this restaurant, especially after all the Korean sashimi spots in South Bay closed down. I’ve visited multiple times and sampled a variety of dishes—including my absolute favorite, the halibut sashimi. Every dish I’ve tried has been packed with quality flavor, making it hard to choose just one favorite.
They specialize in Korean traditional comfort food, and it’s a treat to explore the different offerings. The owners—a husband and wife duo—cook and serve everything themselves, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like visiting family. They genuinely enjoy chatting with customers and always make sure you’re satisfied.
The halibut sashimi stands out not only for its taste but for its freshness—they catch it live from the tank right before serving. The restaurant’s name, “Jagalchi,” is meaningful too: it’s named after the famous fish market in Busan, South Korea, and symbolizes marine life, especially fish.”
“This is a secret gem in Gardena! The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food. Between the group, we had several types of rolls, Ramen and salmon. It was thumbs up across the board. If you life sushi, you should give them a try!”
“Love this place. Very relaxed atmosphere and great food. Our go to place for big gatherings and birthdays.”
“Great service, atmosphere was upbeat and plenty of great food to cook up! Get there early s because place was packed when I left.”

“Unassuming little restaurant owner by an older couple. Food is prepared with so much care and is always fresh. Highly recommend the place for anyone looking for Izakaya style Japanese food”
“Sweet Potato Pizza is awesome and Frisx Chicken with Korean Sauce is really delicious! Two Thumbs Up!”
“This place was seriously delicious. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. We were helped by Rosa, she is just a delight. So nice and friendly. We would definitely be coming back!”
“A Refreshing Change from Korean BBQ
This Korean restaurant offers something different—delicious noodle soup with seafood instead of the usual BBQ.
The taste is absolutely on point—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Highly recommended to try!”
“The place is my favorite but that Asian lady who is always angry pisses me off and I make sure to avoid her. She is rude as heck and always seems annoyed. Food is good tho !”
“After so many years, I still can’t find any other Yakitori places better than this place. That is it.
The restaurant is small.
I suggest making a reservation. Walk-in can be difficult.”
“It’s an incredibly comfortable bar with excellent service and delicious drinks👍
I’m a woman, and yesterday, after a company dinner, I still felt like drinking more, so I decided to go alone this time. Well... It was a really good time😊, and all the customers were super cool and nice!
The service from the bartender and the manager was absolutely exceptional 💖”
“Brianna was super sweet and nice while we were there and always made sure we were doing good. She always had a smile on her face and was super friendly. For sure coming back just for her”
“Stopped in after dinner at Sushi Bei. The place have been upgraded a bit since the last ownership. Way less dive feeling (but the old way was great too!).We just had a couple drinks and didn’t sing. The atmosphere was great! A very fun party and people were having a great time. They have many premium liquors and several mezcals (my fave). Looks like they no longer have the private room in the back.I would go back and would recommend!”
“Clean facilities, friendly staff and absolutely incredibly delicious food made to order!”
“Very satisfying lunch. I wanted something filling and the special combo didn't disappoint. I got the pork cutlet combo and it came fully loaded with hot soba, salad, handroll and rice; the pork was crispy and tender. Also got the scorched natto roll, very good with a bit of hot sauce”
“One of my favorites places when we don’t know what to eat. First time we ate here was probably because another restaurant had a long wait and we randomly tried it out.
Parking can be difficult in this old plaza depending on the hours. Seating usually doesn’t take too long.
One of the best things about this places is the noodles. House made, can be adjusted to your liking. They’re perfectly chewy and have a nice texture to them.
When I first visited, one of my favorites places dishes here was the kung pao chicken. It used to be very unique, fried super crispy before mixed with the carrot, peanuts, peppers, and other bits. On our recent trip, it’s seems like they completely changed the recipe, it’s on the sweet side, no carrots or other veggies and peanuts were just added on top. I lost one of my favorite dish here, would never order the current kung pao chicken again.
Not pictured or ordered since it was a hot day, but one of my favorites is their beef noodle sou. It’s a great comfort dish with excellent flavor and good portions of meat and veggies
All of their dry noodles or cold noodles are delicious as well.
One of their house specialty entrees I really enjoyed and will order again is the spicy spare ribs. Super crispy, good spices. Might be a bit on the oily side, but it’s delicious.
XLB are good, not the best but perfectly fine. Juicy and good flavor.
Cold cuts are good as an appetizer, you can choose however many you want and portions are good.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would say they get swamped a bit during busy hours as they handle tables and also take out orders.”
“this place is awesome love the food staff is really chill completely worth the price”
“it was my first visit it will definitely be my spot whenever I'm in town”
“We ordered 2 jalapeno kimbap and 2 beef bulgogi kimbap and they gave us 4 little spicy soups that I thought was miso at first but it's not it's a delicious bean sprout jalapeno soup. So good and spicy 😍 The owners were so nice and asked our daughter if she wanted to take a book home 💚 definitely have to go back for a date night with hubby and try their other items”
“It's a small lil hole in the wall good price drinks two pool tables at a dollar a game no complaints just make sure you tip the bartender she's super sweet and attentive.”
“Good action in all poker games. Good experienced dealers. Decent food although the turkey club is to be avoided as it has very little turkey and less bacon. Prob shud be taken off the menu.”
“Great place to go hangout and have drinks! Had a wonderful girls night out!”
“Another Gardena establishment that has been around since time eternal. Authentic food and lots of it. Comfy surroundings, good prices. You will leave full and happy”
“This Louisiana makes sure the food is fresh and the prices are a bit better than others. The service is as friendly as expected but the promptness gets them the 5. Atmosphere is blah....pick up food and go vibe.”
“Tacos Super Gallito:Street tacos from the catering truck. As of August 2018 they cost $1.59 each plus tax. I got 4 Al pastor to go, so they come in the traditional aluminum foil wrapped. They give you the diced onions, cilantro, limes and radishes in individually wrapped plastic bags. I came on a Saturday at 11 am. So there was only one person at the time and she will get your food out but at the same time she is prepping for the 12 o’clock opening time. So that’s a big plus that they take care of the customers even if they really aren’t ready and set up.The tacos are the small tortilla size regular street tacos. They are not over flowing with meat like at other taco trucks but they deliver a punch of flavor they is very pleasant to the taste buds.If you put salsa on your tacos then the green salsa will also send you to pleasant vill since it is also very tasty but it brings a medium heat that is not to over powering. They have an A grade from the county and even though they feel a bit pricey they are well worth the cost. I would recommend this spot to my friends and family and will definitely be coming back.”
“This is a fun dim sum restaurant where your family can go and choose different types of dim sum and fried bread from a cart when you're craving dim sum on the weekend.
Vegetarian options: Stir-fried Bok Choy
Parking: There is a parking lot at the shopping mall, so you don’t have to worry about parking.”
“Wonderful woman was working the counter. Smiling and pleasant. Made me feel very welcome. But she needed help behind the counter and there wasn't anyone to help.”
“Found this place on IG and instantly wanted to go and the food is AMAZING! I’ve been looking for a Soul Food place like this in LA and finally found one! Definitely coming back!”
“Stopped at this location to order some fried zucchini ? You receive four large strips, very hot and perfectly battered ? It was lunch time so service was a bit slow, but worth the wait ??”
“Micheladas are bomb The pescado zarandeado and the camarones islas marias are the best!!!!! And the banda on Fridays and Sundays play the best songs and the place has a great environment!”

“The food is good. It's not the same price and quality as it used to be. For two people with food and drinks, it was nearly 30 dollars. There are better places to get cheaper tacos. But the quesadillas are huge and have avocado so they're worth the $13 dollars once in a while. The service is good, and the people there are always respectful. The space inside to eat is small but I always happen to go when its empty lol. Overall the place is a once in a while spot”
