“We there for the first time on a Friday night and there was a good amt of people waiting. The place was packed! That is a good sign! The staff was hustling to get the tables cleaned and set up for the next guest. I appreciate that. You know you can tell if the food is going to be great by judging the banchan. The kimchi was very nice!! We ordered the seafood pancake. This was like a deep dish pancake! The was really good! A lot of different seafood in it and the edges were nice and crispy! We got the pork belly with arugula(tomsamgyub salad) it was very good as well. The sweetness of the pork belly with the bitterness of the arugula just worked. We also got the bossam and LA galbi. Everything was really good and I kept thinking while I was eating, I can't wait to go back! And the portions are really big! The ambulance was really cute. I really felt like I was in Korea! It's very bright and very cute cut out of Korean words. We got a booth and it felt very separate from the other tables. That was really nice! Looking forward to going there again!”

“Love the vibes of this place, the food is so yummy and I adore a self serve bar for the side dishes. Usually I feel bad having to constantly ask for more cucumber or rice paper. Love that I can get what I like and as much as I like. The price is better then most other kbbq places. 10/10 recommended to other to try if you are in the area.”

Those empanadas though??very delicious, same with the coxinhas. The place is small, but that’s okay. Service is great. They serve your bowl in no time. 10/10 will try again.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the entrance of the building, so it’s easily accessible for those in a wheelchair.”

“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!”
“I ordered the Pastrami Sandwich to go. The Pastrami Sandwich was amazing, tender and not really fatty, thinly sliced and so juicy. The sandwich came with a generous portion of potato salad that has a sweet mustard taste that is light and not too heavy. A pickle completes the meal that has a nice crunch. I really enjoyed my lunch here and will be coming back again.”

“Marsha came through with an exceptional cake for my husband’s surprise 60th birthday. She designed the cake exactly the way I wanted it. We had a 3 tier cake, each being a different flavor and our guests wanted to try all 3. Needless to say, this cake was a hit! Marsha’s Sweet Cakes will be my only choice for custom cakes in the future!”

Great beer options, well stocked bar, and a very good kitchen are all available to the visitor. I came by for lunch and ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It was AMAZING. They use truffle cheese, great bread, and the whole thing was delicious. Small pickle slice and pickled veggie garnish was a great touch. Service is solid and the place was not very crowded at noontime. Lots of live music and other stuff going on at night too.”

The long lines make one wonder if it's bc it's the only cafe inside the enclave? Cuz there are other cafes that do the same if not more innovative drinks.”

“Great place to eat if you want authentic Korean flavored crispy fried chicken. I can’t recommend enough the Crispy Yang-Nyum (#7), Crispy real Garlic (8) and oven/fried Padak. Their food description is exactly what you get. Fries were well seasoned and enough to feed 4 people. The customer service is fantastic and genuine. They want you to have an amazing eating experience. And that is what I got.”

It kept falling apart. Wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't order it again. I am obsessed with their ranch and fries though, not sure if they make it in-house, but I am a fan!”

Will be back! When the owner learned was buying for a diabetic, he steered me off the sweet drinks. Very caring people...”

“A really delicious diner in old town Torrance. It’s located on a tree lined street and has many outdoor tables so this is the sort of place that is an easy option to sit outside or in. Today I brought my dog so the outdoor seating really came in handy. We were able to find a parking space right out front and there were a ton of other free parking spots next to us as well. Our server was really polite and fast and we were serviced immediately after sitting down. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of diner classics, so it was hard to choose what I wanted this morning. Everything is very fair pricewise and the portions are also very hearty.I started off with a cup of coffee, per usual, and it was very tasty and strong. For my meal I chose the Marinated Steak and Eggs because I read a lot of positive reviews about it. I can confirm that it is indeed very good. The steak is very tender and seasoned well and comes in a very large sized portion. I was not a fan of the hashbrowns, as they are more of a potato cake , but aside from that everything else was really good.I would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a solid breakfast option in Torrance. I plan to be back in the future next time I am down in the area.”

“Smog City Brewing Co. is one of the best breweries I've been to in the LA Metro! They have a nice taproom space that expands outdoors, they have TV's playing whatever major game is going on that night, and the beer is top notch. My group thoroughly enjoyed the Tuna Thai Thai Belgian Blonde w/ Prickly Pear,Coffee Porter, Snuggly Bug Sour, Hoppy New Year Spruce Tip IPA and Unyielding Haze IPA! The Portuguese, Spanish and Mexican fusion taco stand was also amazing, and we came back for seconds! Some of the best tacos we've had in a long time! The prices for the beer here were also below market average which was a nice change of pace, especially since everything was delicious. 5/5 would highly recommend stopping in!”

“TL;DR Solid (hand and cut) rolls, sashimi and overall experience, no complaints Story: Been here for the second time after about ~6 months. Both times with family, both times seated pretty promptly. Ambiance: Parking hasn't been a problem both times, but the lot only takes ~10 or less cars. Service was adequate as more folks filtered in (cater your expectations to a restaurant with a few waiters) Generally clean (restroom was fine), and I didn't feel uncomfortable with any of the decor/music/lack of anything Food: Definitely solid roll choices, they have other things like teriyaki but can only comment on the fish/rolls Soy paper and rice less options are appreciated I'm all for handrolls and these hand rolls are definitely hefty (Lobster hand roll/Vicky hand rolls were very solid) Rolls were good and fish was relatively fresh (no complaints) Value: Decent value considering the quality of the fish and that it's a sushi roll place, would definitely give this place a chance if you're in the mood for a solid roll (but shout out to those large hand rolls).”

“Went early afternoon on a Friday and ordered the Pupus Platter and a guava Hawaiian sun. The Pupus Platter came with spam musubi, kalua nachos, macnut onion rings, ahi poke, and teriyaki skewers. They also bring complimentary two small hawaiian rolls with butter. I was well tended to, even though I sat at the counter, and my server did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. Portion size was huge and is enough to easily feed two people. No complaints on the food - I was pleasantly surprised by the lighter batter on the onion rings and loved the poke and kalua nachos. They used ogonori if I’m correct in the poke, which gives it a similar chewiness to wood ear mushrooms. It’s a very diner style vibe on the inside, especially with the counter being directly of access to the kitchen and coffee counter. The bakery and restaurant are very fluidly accessible in the same open space concept. A huge variety for the bakery, and a selection of Kings Hawaiian rolls are purchasable as well.Parking: Free parking lot behind restaurant”

The service is also excellent, and the staff are always happy to help you choose the perfect dishes and drinks. “Olive Garden has been around for a very long time. The taste and quality of food have improved over the years. The service was great, our server Emily served smiles as well as good food. Both floor supervisors were attentive as they asked each guest how they were doing and offered assistance if it was needed.Great choice for dinner!”
“This place reminds me of chiang mai! The flavors are great and the people who work there are as sweet and friendly as the people of chiang mai. Maybe the flavors have been slightly changed to accommodate American tastes but for the most part everything is really tasty here. So glad there's a few thai places worth going to in South bay and not have to drive all the way to Hollywood. As a shout out the three bowl thai spots in gardena (bowl thai, sweet rice and bowl thai grill) are my other favorite thai spots. But this one is very close if you live in the south bay. Definitely worth a visit. Crab fried rice is very tasty and the chicken khao soi is very good.”
“Wanted to have a nice dinner with my daughter. She ordered the steak "medium," but it was actually "raw plus". It was very pink and chewy. We sent it back for a tad more cooking. When her plate was re-delivered, her mashed potatoes had diminished. We're not sure if when the cook had to take the steak out to cook some more, they cleaned up her plate a bit. Anyhow, when she got her plate back, we informed them that her mashed potatoes side was reduced. They brought her another side of mashed potatoes but then tried to charge us for it. I had to ask for the charge to be removed, and they did, but for such a classy restaurant, they should have made sure no additional charges were assessed, especially after the raw steak gaffe.”

Everything we had was great.Parking: Park near Chase Bank area for more chances of parking spots and further away keeps the dents on the cars away.”

“This was the best McDonald's experience ever. I walked inside and everything looked immaculate. Given I was the only person in there at the time, everything was perfectly clean and soothing jazz was playing at just the right volume, prompting me to hum along. I was greeted by a beautiful woman with a smile and my food was made promptly, but not too fast. My meal was made perfectly, with crispy hot fries, a beautiful juicy burger, and a delicious Dr pepper with what appeared to be a slightly larger than normal straw, allowing mode dr. pepper to flow over my taste buds with each sip with ease. I left not only happy, but impressed, and inspired to revisit. It was as if I had visited a brand new restaurant for the first time.”

“We've been coming here for many years. The go-to order for us is the Ox-tongue, Slightly Salted with Green Onions. Other good choices are the Skirt Steak, Liver, Garlic. Be warned it does tend to get smokey inside, so you'll come out smelling like bbq. Plenty of parking in the lot. Reservations help on weekends.”

Ambiance: Parking hasn't been a problem both times, but the lot only takes ~10 or less cars. We were greeted when we walked in and was able to find a table for two. The restaurant was small, clean and it was busy on a Friday night. We didn't know what to expect what was on the menu but we ordered the Steamed octopus, Fried oysters, Mentaiko Cheese (smaller than I thought but tasty) and Chinchikurinyaki Okonomiyaki. All of the dishes were delicious and we are happy that we have given this place a try, it was a great experience and would come again to try other dishes on the menu.”

When her plate was re-delivered, her mashed potatoes had diminished. We're not sure if when the cook had to take the steak out to cook some more, they cleaned up her plate a bit. Anyhow, when she got her plate back, we informed them that her mashed potatoes side was reduced. They brought her another side of mashed potatoes but then tried to charge us for it. I had to ask for the charge to be removed, and they did, but for such a classy restaurant, they should have made sure no additional charges were assessed, especially after the raw steak gaffe.”

“Cellador has long been a top-rated brewery amongst beer fans/snobs, but their niche is very particular: They produce barrel-fermented sour beers, so if you're looking for a hard seltzer, Czech pilsner, or triple imperial pastry stout, this isn't the brewery for that. Cellador's current location on Del Amo Boulevard in Torrance is not a taproom; there's no place to drink here. To be honest, it's barely even a sales location. From the large Smog City Brewing logo on the wall, one can likely surmise they are using capacity at a Smog City facility ― especially since Smog City's brewery and taproom are right across the parking lot. (That, and the first person who helped me here I later spotted worked at said taproom.) The owner came and spoke with me, and was very patient even as I admitted that I am not a big fan of sour beers and that I had not warmed well to one of Cellador's I had recently tried. Nonetheless, I did find something to purchase: a Lichtenhainer, a rare type of beer that has a lactic fermentation where the malt is smoked, so it's both smoky and sour. (It's an acquired taste, to be sure, but I love smoked beers.) While their style may not be my thing, I respect Cellador's devotion to their craft, and the owner is a really nice guy, too. I wish them the best, and while they may not be in my beer strike zone, I'll keep trying them to see what they're doing.”

“First time found it through yelp I'm trying to go to more small businesses and find places that can accommodate me. I got the orange chicken because it didn't have soy and the person I was with got the Mongolian beef with noodles. I ordered on the phone the person was very sweet and knowledgeable and very considerate about my allergies. Everything arrived very sealed tight in plastic accept for my orange chicken and it had a cool opener the radish it looked like it was seasoned with ginger. It came with a side of rice. I felt I didn't really need the rice because the orange chicken was so flavorful. I like the idea of Korean Chinese fusion! Definitely will be coming back here.”
“Great local sushi restaurant. Very old school feel to it, as it has been around for many years. Most of the customers are usually Japanese, so that's a good sign. The best way to experience this place is to do the omakase, which is $80 and much less than most places in LA. Very good sushi for the price. The oysters are also a must. The only negative thing I can really say is that they don't have chilled shochu, so you have to drink it on the rocks which dilutes the flavor. They have good house sake (Otokoyama), most places usually serve really cheap stuff for their house sake. Staff are very friendly. They have private rooms available.”
“I was never a big fan of gopchang, as eating intestines was a bit icky to me. However, this place has changed my view on gopchang! I think the places I had gopchang before had poor quality meat/intestines as it never tasted "fresh" or of good quality. I felt that thus restaurant had good quality meat and every side dishes they had was very delicious. The dwenjangjjigae was the best part of the side dishes along with the radish kimchi. Not only was the food amazing, the service was outstanding, as the servers were very attentive and kind. Would def come back for more gopchang!!”
“Excellent service! Attended a group dinner (birthday celebration) in a private area. The servers did an excellent job keeping up with drinks and waters. Our dinners were all served at the same time, hard to do with large groups. Food was very good and the options for the menu were all great! Nice room layout, we were all at one long table with lots of room move around and mingle.Parking is always easy at Miyako Hybrid as they have a second overflow lot for guests. In addition, they offer valet parking. Definitely would recommend the hotel for stays. Great inhouse restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great for private events or just private dining. Plenty of space for private events just off the lobby.”

It is easy to become overwhelmed by the various kitchen, sushi, and roll options available. Pace yourself, or you will be charged $2 per roll you waste or do not finish. Surprisingly, they have great soups & udon on the AYCE as an option.So, it was so good I neglected to take pictures.???This means I have to go back and do AYCE all over again. I will become a regular here? great food & atmosphere. Service was 4/5. They are just so busy. Sometimes, guests waited too long between rounds for AYCE; maybe they were short-staffed that day. “One of the best galbi tang I've had and not just in the South Bay, but all of LA. I've been to plenty of places in Ktown and I still prefer Hansol. The portion is huge, bachan is delicious, and the meat is juicy. They give you two giant ribs per portion. I can't speak to anything else on the menu since this is all I ordered, but my friend also enjoys their chicken katsu. 100% worth coming. To go is equally good. Great for a cold day!”
“The food is pretty good and the service was good. I got the mille katsu. The only thing that wasn't great was the rice that came with the meal. It was cooked well and everything but it tasted like some kind of medium grain rice so the texture was a little different. It was still really good, but maybe different rice would tie the meal together better.”
“The good: This is a super quaint and cozy Japanese restaurant with a simple interior that matches the simplistic Japanese aesthetic. I saw many Japanese patrons here so I got a good feeling about its authenticity. I got the chirashi deluxe bowl and mixed tempura deluxe rice bowl. My toddler and infant enjoyed the food as well! The tempura bowl came with a side of soba (you could choose udon instead as well). The soba can be hot or cold. I liked how they had kid high chairs and they put lids on the waters for the kids. They also had plastic spoons, forks, bowls and plates for the kiddos. I liked the roasted rice tea that they served for us for free. I liked the variety in both of the entrees. The broth in the soba was tasty and differed from the store bought mentsuyu broth base. The bad: There's no outdoor seating. The interior is very small so this isn't a great spot for larger groups. I think the largest table they had was a table for 4 unless they squish some tables together. The miso soup that came with the chirashi bowl was too salty. The tempura was slightly more mushy than I would've liked. The interesting: My husband and I created a "game" called the dinner decider where we draw out a restaurant name from a bag. This was our 4th draw!”

“Our first time here. Staff was extremely friendly. We've all had hot pot/shabu-shabu before just not at this location. The food was good, but we all have had better. Not to knock this place though, it's still good! I love how there's Japanese curry with the pickled radish like ichibanya and you can add meatballs, or the meat you dip. Kids 4 and under eat free, and 5-i think 12 are 1/2 off. What I'm not use to was the service charge, 18%. I asked if that's what the tip was, and the employee said, yeah kinda. Typically, that's what you automatically get charged for parties 6 and more, which we normally pay 20% anyway. But to be forced to pay 18% regardless, i think is unfair. Esp since minimum wage has gone up, and prices per person has gone up, it isn't fair for the customer to be triple charged. On top of that, the receipt still asked for a tip. I don't think an establishment should stick their hand out so much, it's quite embarrassing to put the customer on the spot like that.”

“I received a gift card for Outback Steakhouse for my birthday. I was reluctant to go to the Outback Steakhouse at the Del Amo Mall in Torrance because we went there a couple of years ago, and the food and service were not good. We decided to try it again today, and we are so glad we did. Our server, Raymond, was so nice and attentive. He made us both feel welcomed. I ordered the sirloin steak, and my husband ordered the prime rib. We both ordered the vegetable - broccoli and baked potato. The portions were big enough for us to take some home to eat later. Raymond also brought bread to our table before our meals. The atmosphere was welcoming. The air conditioning was a little cool for me, but I get cold easily anyway. We had a very nice dining experience, and we plan to return in the future.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is very roomy and I had no problem using my wheelchair there.”

“Likely the best croquettes you can get in the US! Red Rock Express is a quick and easy option in the plaza that used to house the old Mitsuwa in Torrance off Carson. Their spot is small but clean and not usually busy with plentiful of parking. My go to is their meat and potato original croquette but they've got 5 different flavors now ranging from curry to cream! They even have a 5 pack for you to try one of every flavor but personally, my preferred flavor is just their original. My husband really loves their beef don. It's a hearty and heavy meal but the quality of their beef it absolute creme de la creme! Their egg on top when you mix it gives everything such a velvety smooth bite. I'd love to try to omurice next time as it's not common at a lot of restaurants out here.”

“My MIL was visiting from Colorado and wanted fish n chips. I chose this place as it catered not just to seafood lovers but to a variety of taste buds. It's a brewery with like 4 types of restaurants. There was Mexican (tacos & burritos) chicken sandwiches, seafood, and burgers. This place has indoor and outdoor seating. And the food were all amazingly delicious! Even my mother-in-law says she would like to come back here again. The fish n chips is MIL approved -not greasy with its own unique taste in the batter. All the ingredients were fresh. I could even taste the pickles were freshly made and not from a prepackaged jar. I had the Hawaiian poke bowl, hubby had a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, MIL had the fish n chips, oldest son had tacos and the other son had bacon wrapped hot dogs. We all ate up our lunch with satisfaction! Thank you for the variety!I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.”

I think I'd ask for the onions to be well done for the shaken beef. I would definitely come back to try other items like the lemongrass chicken and Vietnamese crème brûlée coffee.”

“April Food Explorer club wanted to learn about Indian food and culture. So we headed to India Sweets & Groceries. Our group of four loved it. This was the first time for some of them to try Indian food. This is a simple Indian grocery store and we enjoyed looking at the foods available to take home and cook with. Snacks looked great! There are a few tables between the buffet and the grocery aisles. The People serving our food were helpful and supportive as we asked lots of questions. They explained things to us. The customers were also kind and helpful and shared their suggestions for what to order. Some of our favorites were the rice, samosas, Dahi Vada and Palak Paneer. You can not beat the price. We had more then enough food for four people and it was $30.00. This place is not fancy but great for great food and family friendly. We will all return on own and look forward to sharing this treat with our friends.”

Portion size was huge and is enough to easily feed two people. No complaints on the food - I was pleasantly surprised by the lighter batter on the onion rings and loved the poke and kalua nachos. They used ogonori if I’m correct in the poke, which gives it a similar chewiness to wood ear mushrooms. It’s a very diner style vibe on the inside, especially with the counter being directly of access to the kitchen and coffee counter. The bakery and restaurant are very fluidly accessible in the same open space concept. The last time we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes... Therefore, take the electronic queue in advance, or by QR code.The restaurant itself is extremely small, the tables with windows to the kitchen are blocked by partitions and you get the impression that you are in prison waiting to talk on the phone through the glass.
