“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Abuelos, and I must say, their chicken fajitas for two were truly delightful. The flavor was exceptional, and the portion size was generous. My only small gripe is that they could include a few more tortillas with the dish. However, the staff was more than accommodating and provided extra tortillas free of charge upon request. Overall, a delicious dining experience with excellent customer service.“

“I live nearby in Nevada City and have always loved this place. I heard they recently had a change in ownership and some things were upgraded so I wanted to come check it out!The New England clam chowder in a toasted sourdough bread bowl was absolutely delicious. Killer pretzels and The Winston was amazing! They also have a wide variety of beers on tap. The specials board updated everyday and posted on Instagram/online.This place was definitely worth the drive! I'll be stopping by next week for lunch. Always a great visit, staff is friendly and on point. Just always an overall relaxing place to eat and visit.“

“If you are seeking excellent catering for your event of any size, look no further. Teal at Sierra Rizing was a joy to work with. She made the process beyond easy and relieved me of so much stress. She provided catering to serve a group of 65 people and knocked it out of the park. The food was incredible, we received many compliments. Teal was on time, organized, and delivered in every aspect. I look forward to working with her again in the future.“

“This is your true Mom's restaurant. Recipes from Cynthia's heart. Good wholesome food prepared with love and served with love. Specials every Thursday night, Saturday and Sunday serves breakfast (I like the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with sausage patty & tater tots). Taco Tuesdays are a special treat with meat brimming from end to end. My personal fav is the fish tacos (love the sauce).“
“One of the most middle of nowhere breweries I've experienced. Reminds me of the hard to reach Brewing Lair further north on the east side of Sierra as far a far flung. Very good European style beers. Their black lager and Pilsner were quite nice. I'm sure this spot is popular during river rafting season. Visited in early spring and was one of a few there. Friendly staff and large space around brewery for outdoor seating or other activities while enjoying quality brews. Definitely not an IPA stop which is nice to have other options versus so many IPA centric places.“
“Friendly, affordable and great ambiance. Easily the liveliest place around on a weekend night, and the pizza we had was tasty and well above our expectations as travelers. Nicely sprawling outdoor scene with live music (when we were there) behind the little building where they take your orders. Shout out to the hard working staff who got us our pies- with smiles - in next to no time despite beginning to run out of pizza!“

“Sandwiches are made fresh whether hot or cold! All ingredients are prepared while you wait a short time. It's busy during the spring and summer rafting season but worth any wait! You'll be glad you stopped in this unique Mom and Pop sandwich shop! Friday is taco night and Monday night is homemade meatloaf dinner! The help is gracious and friendly- a fun place to get a yummy meal! Also, if you want a beer with your meal they have choices to go with the games on big screen. Try them out! You will be glad you did.“

“Stopped by yesterday for my usual fair. Had their awesome pastrami & Swiss on a roll &Modelo Negra. The sandwhich is always full of meat & love all the melted cheese. Causal atmosphere.I normally go when they are not real busy as I am normally not in hurry but enjoy it a bit quieter. Scenic Route just up Marshal Grade off Hwy.49.“

“Tonight we had our first pizzas at Whitewater Pizza Company, and they were utterly delicious! So excited to have pizza of this caliber, and so close to home. The crust was so delicious, the toppings are amazing, and the pizza was cooked perfectly. 500 stars from us!“

“Trying mudwtr for the first time while sitting at a carved picnic bench along the American River. The kind folks working at Argonaut made it with water, whole milk, and honey in addition to the mudwtr. There's a rich, earthy complexity to the taste - it's impossible not to just sip and savor, especially considering the calm vibe outside“

“I was looking for a different experience than normal and that is exactly what I found. The building has a lot of history to it and is lovely to experience. Every one of the staff that were there were so friendly and made sure that we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was fantastic.“
