“Friendly, affordable and great ambiance. Easily the liveliest place around on a weekend night, and the pizza we had was tasty and well above our expectations as travelers. Nicely sprawling outdoor scene with live music (when we were there) behind the little building where they take your orders. Shout out to the hard working staff who got us our pies- with smiles - in next to no time despite beginning to run out of pizza!“
“Tonight we had our first pizzas at Whitewater Pizza Company, and they were utterly delicious! So excited to have pizza of this caliber, and so close to home. The crust was so delicious, the toppings are amazing, and the pizza was cooked perfectly. 500 stars from us!“
“This was our first time here, we saw the place 2 days ago, but we were in a hurry, but we decided we will try it in the way back home, and we did and everything was excellent, the BBQ was flavorfull, all the meats came off the bone easily and all the sides were perfect, specially the cole slaw and the green beans and the rolls, they reminded me of my country.Everything was great, from food to the place to the staff.Keep up the good work and the superb food.Parking: Right at the door, lots of spots.Kid-friendliness: This food is perfect for everyone, kids will love it.“
“For months I would stop and read the menu but just couldn’t bring myself to try one their “concoctions”. That was my loss. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone trying several of their master pieces and have not been disappointed once. This place is like the Disney Epcot of sandwich shops. Ready for an American classic, the biscuits and gravy sandwich might be their simplest sandwich but I’m salivating right now just thinking about it. The gravy is top three I’ve ever had, if not the best. Ready for a trip south of the border, the enchiladas suizas sandwich might be my favorite so far (minus the sour cream). The addition of the chips might seem like something my kid would do, but don’t think this sandwich would be same without them. The salsa verde rivals anything I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. Looking for something a little on the sweet side then give the honey walnut prawns a try, and continue down the Asian fusion path with the pot sticker cheese burger. I could go on but just know your trip around the culinary world doesn’t stop there. Don’t like to travel, no problem, the cheese burger will more than get the job done. Fair warning, they have a lot of fun and work their butts off, but on busy days there can be a bit of a wait so take some time and enjoy all Main Street has to offer. It will be more than worth it.“
“Highly recommend Tasty Taco Box! I ordered the birria tacos with pinto beans and cilantro rice. Everything was perfect. The pinto beans were surprisingly flavorful. It is a family/female owned restaurant. You won't regret stopping for tacos and boba!“
“the breakroom is such a great option in the area! awesome food, great service, and an awesome local beer menu. they're in construction for a full bar too! it's a great place for families as there's a full arcade and even a photobooth to entertain the kiddos. dart boards and pool tables for the big kids at heart! tons of parking as it's in a shopping center, and plenty of outside seating for the warmer days! love that we have breakroom in the area.“
“Superior dirty chai (Dirty Dave) and my coffee cake muffin not only was a generous size, but tasted AMAZING! Everyone was friendly, knew the regulars. I can't wait to go back! I would have taken a picture but I ate the muffin way too quickly!!“
“Excellent customer service & delicious food. The owner graciously accommodated our request for a take-out order with everything necessary to set up a build-your-own taco bar at home. The food was fresh, flavorful, packaged well & priced fairly. The staff we interacted with were very friendly & helpful. We will definitely be returning & highly recommend this spot for large take-out orders.“
“We've been members of Boeger's wine club for a number of years, and they never fail to impress! Love having access to their amazing selection of rarer Spanish and Italian varietals, in particular. Winemaker Justin Boeger is a true talent - lucky to have him and his staff doing their thing right here in the Capitol region!“
“One of the best sandwiches I have had in Old Hangtown (Placerville)! I had the Angry Irishman. It was delicious. It's a grilled sandwich with Corned Beef, Pastrami, Cream Cheese, Havarti, Caramelized Onions, Jalapeños, and Hot Pepper Spread all on beautifully grilled Sourdough. Service was friendly. Inside seating is sparse. Just a few seats at the bar, and a table.“
“Love birds has been around for years and has never disappointed . The coffee and coffee selection is great , pastries are always fresh and tasty , breakfast burrito is the best ever . Besides coffee and pastries there are other breakfast and lunch options , all very good Great place to relax and take in the Italian decor If ever in the Placerville/Diamond Springs area this is a must stop for a great cup of Joe or a nice bite to eat Don't forget to say Ciao back to the amazing set of employees“
“I was looking for a different experience than normal and that is exactly what I found. The building has a lot of history to it and is lovely to experience. Every one of the staff that were there were so friendly and made sure that we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was fantastic.“
“One of the most middle of nowhere breweries I've experienced. Reminds me of the hard to reach Brewing Lair further north on the east side of Sierra as far a far flung. Very good European style beers. Their black lager and Pilsner were quite nice. I'm sure this spot is popular during river rafting season. Visited in early spring and was one of a few there. Friendly staff and large space around brewery for outdoor seating or other activities while enjoying quality brews. Definitely not an IPA stop which is nice to have other options versus so many IPA centric places.“
“Met my daughter & husband here coming thru from Boise, ID, we sat outside & what a delight! We sat outside in patio dining and had a marvelous time. My daughter had French toast w/berries whipped cream. It was was awesome. Her husband had bacon & egg breakfast which he enjoyed. My friend had the blackberry crepe which he thoroughly enjoyed I had the Hungarian ghoulash which was so tender and flavorful w/spatzel. Our server was beyond awesome! She tended to every need imagineable just as we needed. Every request was greeted with beautiful smile & off she went. I highly recommend this place & a big thank you to them & their staff gave myself & family such a wonderful time.“
“Came here to check it out and grab drinks to see that the neighbourhood would be like. Was up here checking out houses . Walked in on sunday around 12:45pm and was greeted right away when we walked it. We were offered menus right away and it all looked so good. They offer American fusion Japanese food. We will have to come back and try the food another day. It's was nice to atmosphere with music in the background but lots of people chatting. This place.“
“I love coming here. I know they treat everyone in the supply chain well, the coffee is great, they have all the alternative milks one could want, and delicious homemade pastries. Lots of space to lounge, work and enjoy. The little courtyard outside seemed pleasant! I wish we could’ve stayed longer.“
“OMG!! I think this is the best pizza I've ever had. Definitely the best crust I've ever had. Veggies were fresh and crisp, chicken was moist and well-seasoned. Oh and did I mention the crust? It's not just your average pizza. You have to try this place!“
“Family owned and operated! What a great lil yogurt spot. The staff are incredibly friendly. Yogurt flavors change often and they always have my go to favorite.... Regular tart! Toppings choices are plentiful and very reasonably priced! Extremely clean and very well decorated!“
“I took my 90's era bike in for service. I discussed the work I was looking for with Brian (the owner) and he listened and provided feedback. All in a very friendly manner. The price quoted for the work seemed really fair based on my calling around to other shops. I walked out feeling very confident I had chosen the right shop.“
“My biscuits and gravy this morning was delicious and a generous serving. It was brought to my table with steaming hot coffee by the owner, Haley Kline. Very friendly welcoming kind of place, I'm looking forward to many more visits. Can't wait to try one of the many bagels with a tasty smear of my choice, or maybe even lox and cream cheese. The turkey pesto bacon Harvarti on a garlic bagel yummy, lots of choices... Thank you to the amazing team involved in making my order. Jean Long“
“I love solid ground! Food is amazing and drinks are amazing! The only reason I would not give 5 stars if I don’t know why people bring there children into an adult space? I don’t like having to fight for space with children at an alcoholic establishment. It just ruins the experience for us. Even when we go on a Monday thinking that it will be quiet, there is an entire party of people with their kids in tow. I didn’t go to a brewery to be around children.“
“Been there twice in recently everything was great. In the past I went often. I was working at the time and had extra money now living on a fix income do not go as often. Service has always been excellent and food is very good.Parking: There was plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out“
“This is a great, fun stop if you're exploring downtown Placerville. Tasty wines, friendly staff, really cool space, lots of comfy sitting spaces, and great local music Thursday thru Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Don't miss!“
“Favorite place in a 200-mile radius to get a sandwich, always stop by for fiesta Friday to pick up a couple of burritos. The selection of beers is outstanding, and the service is top tier and quick. The cambron is my go-to every time I go.Parking: 40+ spaces shared between a small handful of businesses.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, easy entry.“
“This burger joint is close to my home, so I have been a regular consumer. One favorite was the Chinese Chicken salad. Their limited hours makes it tough to eat there. They take no orders after 6:30 pm and close the indoor seating early as well. Recently, they raised their prices significantly. At these rates I would rather eat at a nicer place such as the Tap House or Brick Oven Pub.“
“Stopped by yesterday for my usual fair. Had their awesome pastrami & Swiss on a roll &Modelo Negra. The sandwhich is always full of meat & love all the melted cheese. Causal atmosphere.I normally go when they are not real busy as I am normally not in hurry but enjoy it a bit quieter. Scenic Route just up Marshal Grade off Hwy.49.“
“Trying mudwtr for the first time while sitting at a carved picnic bench along the American River. The kind folks working at Argonaut made it with water, whole milk, and honey in addition to the mudwtr. There's a rich, earthy complexity to the taste - it's impossible not to just sip and savor, especially considering the calm vibe outside“
“Thank you to the staff for accommodating our dog on the deck. The sausage gravy was a little under-seasoned in my opinion and we prefer our bacon more crispy, but the sourdough was excellent and the pancakes and syrup were definitely a highlight. Great portion sizes.“
“The coffee shop had a great atmosphere, was very clean, plenty of tables and had lots of games to play. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly! The food all looked great, I had the frittata and it was amazing! The coffee was great as well. Definitely will come back!“
