“I've been to many burger spots in my life, but I've never had a burger as good as the Chef Burger from Burger Bun. I'm talking perfectly seasoned beef, and delicious (but not overpowering) burger sauce, crisp vegetables, and the brioche bun is spectacular. There's no burger in Glendale that even comes close. The wings are also some of the best I've ever had and the homemade sauces are so, so tasty. The fries are perfect, and they have amazing milkshakes too. To top it all off, the service is ridiculously good, and the prices are fair. This is my go-to spot in town.“

“I don’t usually write reviews, but this place honestly deserves it. Beef Box Shawarma is hands down one of the best shawarma spots I’ve EVER tried. The meat is very flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not dry at all (which is rare). You can tell everything is made super fresh, and the portions are actually worth the price.

Also have to mention the service because everyone there was genuinely so friendly and kind. They had really good energy, were welcoming, and just made the whole experience feel nice.

I got a beef shawarma and it was loaded, sauces were really good, everything was delicious!

The key to a good burger is the structure and these guys are putting together great burgers. They put a lil spice on the fries and they didn’t taste frozen.

Everyone in the kitchen was wearing gloves, they were all wiping down surfaces constantly, and the place is clean throughout.

The price was spot on for the current situation with inflation, I spent about 15 bucks. If I’m up this way, I will definitely go back.“

“I truly like Yaki’s and the way the food is prepared. If you’re under 21, you probably won’t notice much difference, and to be fair, the flavors are good. I’m writing this simply as constructive feedback — it’s completely up to you whether you want to act on it or not.

I still enjoy Yaki’s, but I only eat here a couple of times a year now because I personally have a harder time digesting some of the current ingredients.

The reality is that people in this area are willing to pay more for higher-quality beef and cleaner ingredients, especially in La Crescenta. The neighborhood has changed a lot — it’s no longer the same immigrant community it was in the 1990s with lower-cost housing. Today, it’s become a much more affluent area with higher expectations around food quality.

It’s also worth noting that La Crescenta locals have not traditionally supported fast-food style chains. Businesses like McDonald’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Papa John’s didn’t last here for a reason. Residents generally avoid fast-food quality and prefer better ingredients.

I genuinely believe Yaki’s could be even more successful and stand out for another decade and beyond by upgrading just a couple of things — better quality beef for the bowls and higher-quality (possibly organic) hot dogs for Bulldog. With that small change, this place could be next level for the area

“Today 03/30/19 i went to the Glendale location with my 2 children and niece. I had the best service ever. I walked in and a gentle man (domingo)? finished mopping cleaning the lobby acknowledged our entrance. I was looking at the Desert menu and said i want to Churros. He said ill have one too and i said ill get you one. He smiles and wdnt back to the line. Art was taking my order and i had a complicated long dessert order. I ordered almost every dessert. Art was very patient and understanding i had 3 young children to order for. He took my order and smiled and asked other co workers questions if he didnt know the answer. We got the food quick and my 2 kids started fighting because they both wanted strawberry shakes. Art and Domingo said dont work while I ordered another strawberry shake. They quickly made it and gave us extra straws when they saw my kids dropped them everywhere. I tries to give domingo? A churro he asked for but he stated thanks but he cant take it. I asked if it was per store policy he stated yes. I aaid thank you for great service and told the manager and asked how i can give feedback. They were great.
