“This place was referred to me by a co-worker, since I don’t know the area very well. What a great referral the pizza is like you build it how you want, but with an old skool pizzeria. It isn’t like Pieology. They have canned soda drinks, or two liter bottle soda, no alcohol. Vito the guy who made my pizza to perfection was telling me they have a really good Sunday BBQ from ribs, Tri-tip, 1/2 chicken, etc. They are only open in the evening hours, and the pizza is good size portion. Their small is the size of most mediums at other places. I highly recommend this place. A little more in price, but well worth the fresh ingredients and they won’t take tips.”

The croissant was also not warm, and the girl had asked TWICE if I wanted it warmed up. “Super tasty entrees all around. The beef brisket casserole was jam packed with flavor and super tender (melted in our mouths). The shrimp patties were super juicy and the perfect appetizer. The beef tripe noodles were beefy yet light. The surprise hit was the sweet and sour fish! Crispy and sweet, it was a great entree that was recommended by our waitress. Very friendly staff. Clean establishment. They even had a menu for the Quickly next door. Although I have to recommend their iced tea. Tasted all natural and refreshing. We will be returning!!”

“Glad to find a hidden sushi gem in Hacienda heights. I have been living in HH for 10+ years and we have been lacking authentic quality sushi. Theres a few Japanese restaurants in the area but unfortunately they are pretty westernize in terms of quality and options.

I have visited Sushi land a few times with my wife and the quality of the fish are great for the price and staffs were nice.”

The quality was definitely better before, maybe a different cook? Not sure. They're still good but not as they used to be. Service is always good, the staff are friendly and attentive. “I love coming here and it's very close to my house, reminds me of my grandma baking growing up. They make great tamales as well with lots of meat, very delicious. Their sweet bread are great a big variety to choose from. They open at 5am you won't be sorry if you stopped by and bought some thing to have with your coffee in the morning.”

“Happy to see that Cowboy Cafe is back!

We came a few minutes after 5 pm on Saturday, right before the dinner rush. They have 2-top, 4-top and 6-top tables and booths, so if you're in a larger group, you'll have to split up your group. We got the second to last open table for 2.

Our order taker was very helpful, urging us to get our order in before the group of 10 gets theirs in. We got the rib eye hot plate ($19.99) and filet mignon hot plate ($24.99), both cooked medium with black pepper sauce and served with spaghetti. The hot plate includes a drink too, so we picked the black tea (opted out of the $1 upgrade). Everything was so good. Our favorite of the two was definitely the filet mignon!

The menu is all by QR code. Parking is plentiful in the large lot.”
