“Always consistently good food. Had the salmon and salad with brussel sprouts, and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich. Seasoning was robust, but not too salty. Waitress was friendly, introduced herself, and had no problem with request for two checks for the table.“
“Nice local place good food and drinks at a reasonable price. Great place to watch the games. The staff is very friendly. I had the Barbacoa Quesadilla that was very good. They have a private room for parties of business you can book. Great place to hangout and meet the locals.“
“Had a great experience. The hostess Gi Gi mad us feel very welcome and was the main reason we decided to give it a try. She was very confident about the menu and we ended up staying for a few hours. Good food, cocktails and overall vibe were perfect.“
“Came in to catch a late game. Great place, cool vibe. The music is a lottle overpowering where it's hard to hear your party. The food was really good.. one real highlight is the salsa that comes with all meals. It is spicy, and I feel that it is lacking in most places that try and tone their salsa down.“
“Great little locals spot. We saw a Jimmy Buffet cover band. Drinks seemed reasonably priced. They don't serve food and there were only about 6 tables that were reserved. The rest of the bar is standing room only. Or at least the night we were there so wear comfortable shoes!“
“April 1,2024 ,the day before returning to Japan,l was watching Twilight on the beach, suddenly spaceship-Falcon9–took off???‼️from Vandenberg and traced trajectory across the night sky.Everyone says “Wha’t that”⁉️It’s so special sight. Then l ate rocket salad.Unforgettable taste.“
“Steak & Whisky is a unicorn. For a South Bay restaurant, it provides an extraordinary experience:1. The friendliness and attentiveness of the service staff -- form the greeter to the bartender to the wait staff -- made my time at the restaurant fly by -- my suggestion: sit at the bar, and have a great conversation with not only the staff but other patrons;2. The drinks -- a variety of top shelf Bourbon -- made my party and me stay longer than expected (the reasoning: why go to another place when this bar has everything we need; there is also special lockers that I appreciate) -- - my suggestion ask Connor, Issac, Grant or Jack to set you up with "his choice," these guys are professionals ; and3. We were presently surprised by the food -- we had a tomahawk, seafood tower and other apps; everything was to our liking -- my suggestion: order that happy hour burger (superb). Thanks for such a great time.“
“It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. A breath of fresh air from our usual bougie eating in South Bay. Did I mention the burger was delicious??“
“From the second I walked in the staff was attentive & have great recommendations. Per my servers recommendations I got the Poké bowl! It was delicious! Flavors were popping, tastebuds were dancing, it was a delicious meal.I rarely get desserts, I did splurge this dinner & I got the flourless chocolate cake. Comes with salted caramel ice cream & whipped cream… my tastebuds were dancing again! Just perfection!I will be back!!!“
“Amazing restaurant with class and vibe. The food and drinks were so good. I would definitely come back here. In addition they have live jazz on Wednesdays and other nights. This is a a great place to come and chill. The chicken liver mousse is a must with some bread.Vegetarian options: Mushrooms were awesomeParking: Park in the back lot is free“
“Went back to back days because of the food was so good. The service was impeccable as well as the drinks. The lovely hostess was able to seat me despite it being super packed and I did not have a reservation. Definitely a revisit when in LA!“
“We sat outside since you're RIGHT on the boardwalk from the patio. Here we could hear a street performer sing and people watch as we ate...which we loved! Our server was the sweetest and incredibly attentive. He made a GREAT espresso martini once we were done with mimosas. Our food came quickly and correctly and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend for a quick-ish breakfast stop.“
“I hosted my birthday at SoCal Vibes this past weekend and really can't say enough good things about the experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the staff (Aerin, Spencer, Emma, and Maya) were all so helpful and accommodating. It sounds like a cliche given the name, but the energy of the space and the employees is exactly what'd you hope for when you think of the phrase "SoCal Vibes."On top of all that, the cost for the birthday was less than half of what a few other comparable bar/restaurants in the Venice/SM area were quoting me. That's not a knock on the other places, SCV is just very reasonably priced if you're looking to host a large group. Highly recommend anyone reading this consider SoCal Vibes whether you're planning an event or just need somewhere to unwind on the west side.“
“Anahi is A great bartender and waitress she makes sure you are well taken care of and keep asking if you need anything very kind sweet and generous. I had no problem with her. She is very excellent. I recommend everybody to come here Torrance thank you so much for your service“
“I love the red onion If you don't get there as messials you just get like typical California Mexican food for white people but if you get the especials it's pretty good they local vibe of gray haired Hill people as I say is pretty epic You can run into your friends and chat“
“Hello once again. I have been coming to SOL for the past 3 years. And we always get to ask for CARLOS He is an amazing, outstanding serve. CARLOS goes above and beyond speciation. We will be coming back and tell friends about SOL CUCINA Glad we decided to come to SOL. thank you CARLOS. See you soon“
“Strong drinks, fast service and hot fries. What's to complain about? It's within walking distance from the beach, it's a total classic dive bar - old posters, jukebox songs and plenty of TVs playing sports. It's a bigger place than it looks like from the outside with back patio seating. Parking isn't easy but it's to be expected for the area.“
“My daughters (4-7) were spellbound by the “inside / outside at the same time” space. And I absolutely loved the plant filled atmosphere. Food was above average too! The one hiccup was that we ordered a flavoured coffee flight & they were all iced! Wife said she knew, but I didn’t catch that they weren’t hot coffee. So people really like cold coffee?? (Wife loved them. I know I’m the weird one.)“
“Great food, great service. What’s not to like? Is it popular, and thus a bit crowded at times? Yes. Comes with the territory. We had the garlic noodles and dumpling appetizer.I enjoyed watching the bartender making about 30 different types of drinks while we sat at the bar. Whoa! Was that a mini flame thrower? Artfully scorched cocktail, coming right up. The best part of the night was how patient the serve were with all my questions (wow, what’s that? x 5, asking about beautiful drinks being made).Highly recommend this spot.“
“In the year 2000 I lived in front of Alibi Room, I met friends in the afternoon and we played pool, we ate and had a few drinks, we really had a great time, I have very good memories of that Bar. After a few years I returned to live in Argentina“
“The food was absolutely amazing. I got the brisket po'boy and my wife got the surf'n'turf po'boy. We were greeted by Norwood and he explained everything about the menu and their service philosophy. The environment was so friendly and the food was better than anticipated. I can't believe the po'boys were only $13. You gotta try this!!“
“The food here is really great, and they have a good selection of Wine, Beer, and Cider. The burgers are really good and a nice variety. I love getting the chips instead of the fries, trust me on this they are sooo good. The patio is so nice because you can sit outside and enjoy yourselves, and there's lots of space so it's a great place for groups. Parking is also easy in Downtown El Segundo, and the service here has always been top notch and very friendly,in true El Segundo fashion!“
“Usually adult themed place since it took multiple calls to find out about "meet and greet" passes, the staff answering knew nothing... But we were there for a kid concert. Other then the 2nd opening act saying the F word every other second, the staff during the event, and the reason we were there was top notch. AJA was the girl who likes to swear in front of 10-16 year olds and get one fan supporting her (literally 6 women who woo-hoo'ed her and agreed with things she was talking about kids know nothing about). Gavin Magnus was great though!“
“Such a great experience. I performed here with my band, Negrazul Ska. The staff (bartenders and security) were really kind and supportive. The sound was amazing, they cleaned the microphones and made sure the sound was always spot on. The bartender were attentive and provided free water for everyone. The atmosphere was aweseome, I would definitely come again!“
“A truly hidden gem. Went with some friends while waiting for a dinner reservation, and were thrilled with our experience. The atmosphere is lovely, they have board games for patrons, and they had free snacks. Would make it my regular spot if I lived closer.“
“This place doesn’t disappoint, seriously. Genuinely, this might be one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to and I grew up in a city with a lot of Italian restaurants. I got the Spicy Penne alla Vodka for takeout the most recent time I visited and it did not disappoint. Not to mention there’s a lot of different nearby stores you can visit too after you’re done eating. Definitely if you’re looking for an Italian place that is good and has excellent vibes in Manhattan Beach or El Segundo, this is the place to go. Just wish they stayed open later than 10!“
“Great food, great atmosphere, great service! It is the "Cheers" of the South Bay!Definitely need to go by, have dinner and drinks! It also has an amazing Chocolate Stout which is out of this world! Don't miss out on the experience where everyone will know your name!“
“Great small room to see live jazz - civilized, relaxing space right at LAX. A good option if you have a layover or long delay. If it's live, get there a bit early to get the best seats, though even in the back it sounds great and there's enough view. Parking is easy. Good options for N/A drinks.“
“This place is the most happening place in Main st where one can chill and enjoy kombucha and get a buzz from the fermented drinks . They have selective non alcoholic kombucha as well .Purchased this kool mug as a souvenir ? #juneshine #hardkombucha #tastingroom #bar #santamonica #mainstreetsantamonica #ad #thumzup @juneshine_santamonica“
“Metamucil, Depends, Schlitz Malt Liquor, those are some of the things that come to mind when I think about an old man. This is a eclectic little speak easy that doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you (old man Neil young) Awesome bartenders who specialize in cocktails. Some boozy old fashioneds, and maybe the best whiskey sour I've had in years. If cocktails aren't your thing, you can ease into it with their reasonably priced boiler makers that get you a shot, and coors banquet. Love that they serve it in a can and not in a glass. What old man doesn't drink from a can.“
“Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. They had live music and the games on. They had plenty of craft beer, some ciders, kombucha, and wine on draft as well as cocktails and what looked like great food. Service was attentive and we brought the dog!“
“I'd eat the chicken tenders everyday if I lived here, they're like nothing I've ever had. Absolutely get a basket of these if you're here. The server Dragon (yes that's his name) is the best server I think ive had. He has an amazing personality. Being a 49ers fan helped too. Lol.“
“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“
“Went on a Tuesday so it was pretty empty but was the coziest vibe for a girl check in with a friend! Lots of options on drink menu, I got wine but my friend tried the Mai Guy and I had a sip and it was tasty. Great slightly upscale little bar for conversation and just cozy vibes. Loved the decor as well!“
“J Nichols is an absolutely amazing restaurant in Marina Del Rey. Must try them when in MDR. Busy on weekends and no resy for breakfast/brunch, but definitely recommend adding yourself to the waiting list online/through Yelp. Dinner time reservations are available. Ample feee parking in the shopping center. Amazing staff. From the host/ess, servers, management, and cooks, all friendly and do a fantastic job. Furthermore, given how long the staff continue to work there and how happy they seem, they must be managing it well. Breakfast on weekends is our prime time to go. Boursin mushroom omelette is amazing. Try it with the greens on the side (they do an excellent balsamic dressing) and the freshly made English muffins. They brew Caffe Luxe coffee and it's always excellent. They also have espresso bar beverages as well. Dinner time is a whole other vibe. Quieter and dim lighting with more intimate ambiance. Dinner food is excellent. Decent beer and wine menu. Definitely proud to have them in our community!“
“The Corner Bar is a local gem that captures the essence of inclusivity, as there is something here for everyone. With its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and affordable drinks, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends over a cold beer or a cocktail. They also have a DJ on the weekends for those seeking a party-like atmosphere. All in all, it is a great bar, and if you're in town, highly recommended visiting!“
“Had a great time at Primo! I booked a day-of reservation for a large party for a family dinner and they seated us in the private dining room. The restaurant interior was very nice and the food was fantastic. Service was very good and we overall had an amazing experience!“
“Ricardo!!! Amazzzing server!! Thank you for making our Easter Brunch the best day everrrrr!! It’s a must do if you’re in Cali!! Thank you again Ricardo!! Redondo beach has the best views and the omelette bar is everything ❤️❤️❤️“
“Ordered food for a private jet flight out of LAX. Cinco’s was close to the airport. The food was amazing. Everyone raved. The chips , salsa and guacamole were excellent. My pilots died and went to heaven. Kidding, they just flew the plane, but were joyously happy as were the passengers. Can’t wait to visit next time I’m in LA and can try the adult libations!“
“We lucked out and came on the last Saturday of the month when the dueling pianos duke it out vocally and musically and they delivered for us and our kids. They played crowd favorites and kid favorites. Not a lot of places you can hear Sweet Caroline followed by Peaches from Super Mario Brothers. The service was great too. They accommodated cocktails and charcuterie for the the adults and milk and cookies for the kids with ease.“
“Had a solid experience here. I ordered the filet mignon plate with spinach dip and wings for appetizers for my wife and myself. The service was top-notch. Our waiter was on top of everything and really cool. The atmosphere while busy was not that loud, which surprised me.Highly recommended“
“This place has been around for nearly 100 years and now I understand why. The food was delicious! The burger was so good and cooked to perfection. Our server Erin was wonderful and after I lost something the staff couldn't have been more helpful in helping me find it. We will definitely come back.“
“I love the shack. Been coming here since I was like 17. Shoutout to the fake id that said I was 6'4 when I was maybe 5'10. The Shack Burger is a staple to absorb some of the drunken mistakes you might have made at the other bars prior to. I always allude to the shack as a beach bar with food reminiscent of a backyard barbecue with your relatives. It's not a destination that you necessarily seek out, but an oasis that you stumble into thinking you're just going to have one, but end up having several. Even now as I approach 28, I still love the shack.“
“Easily one of the best experiences in a long time. We live in the area and have wanted to try this place for a long time. Josh as a host was incredible from the moment we walked in the door. He was so friendly and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Ricardo was our server and we found he had been there fore 23 years. He was so nice and kind. The food is incredible. We had the shrimp cocktail to start, which was great. Then we ordered the famous burger and the prime rib. Both were amazing. We also had the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was so great, and all of the other tables were filled with what felt like regulars. Don't let the outside turn you off. Once you enter, you'll be treated to a great evening.“
“I want to give a full overview of the Nile Bar. I’ve been on multiple occasions- weekends and weeknights alike so I feel I have a good gage.Theres a lot of great things such as the huge TV’s, huge bar seating, live DJ/Bands and themed nights. It’s definitely more of a local bar feel because it’s a very clicky place. Meaning people just talk amongst the group of friends they came with- it’s not very social if you come alone and want to meet new people.Overall, service is not bad but it’s not good. You will wait much longer than expected. This is if the bar is full or just 1 to 5 people inside. Experienced both.Drinks are good and strong- price varies as they do have happy hour, but I usually pay closer to 17 bucks for one drink after happy hour.Had the sliders which were excellent but the wings were cooked very hard and they were not good. Now this part can be superficial, but this is for the fellas. The woman are on the larger/older side. This place doesn’t attract younger, smaller sized women. I’m not saying the women aren’t pretty, but if you also want someone in shape I would say this is not the place. And for the women… there’s a selection of men who come in solo to “watch the game” but besides small talk and a drink being bought for a very select few- I don’t really see you meeting anyone here. Just not set up for that vibe in my opinion. Stick to your gworls. But with all that being said, something about the Nile Bar really works. You just want to always come back because it does feel great. Idk what it is, but it’s a special feeling this place has that just pulls you back in for another game, another bite, or another drink.I give this place 4 stars overall!“
“The aroma when u step in would keep u in looking at the foods.Trying the chicken patty before eating food that's like appetizers. Then I recommend jerk chicken, curry goat yea with riceDamn it's goodThere are other meals tooCurry chicken ,Oxtail too“
“Maybe Valentine's Day dinner is not the best time to write a review but... Food: Main courses were 50/50 - mussels were fresh and yummy; the coq au vin chicken was dry and a tad over cooked but the vin sauce was tasty. The deviled eggs appetizer was disappointing as it tasted like it was made the day before. Service was solid and attentive. The interior needs some sound dampening as the main dining area is way too loud. You have to almost yell to carry on a conversation because everyone is doing the same.“
“Came here last night with a friend. Music was great! Drinks are a bit pricey but it has a semi club feel with a nice dance floor. The bathrooms can be a bit dirty but it's the same at most bars. The bar area is a circular section in the middle so be sure to order more then one drink at a time so you're not chasing down the bartender. It can get crowded but the music is so 80s/90s heavy it reminds me of the old times.“
“Had a fantastic time at Coyote Cantina! The drinks were just perfect - strong and delicious. The Steak Tidbits and Blackened Chicken Enchiladas were both standout dishes. Plus, Carl, the owner, was incredibly welcoming, making the whole experience even more special. A cozy spot I'd recommend to “
“I got there just before the dinner rush. The outside tables were filling up, and the bar was full. Great Service. The most amazing food. They gave complimentary homemade flour tortillas, butter, red salsa, and green avocado salsa. Wow best tortillas I ever had. Then finish off with the three most flavorful De Filet Mignon Tacos that just melted in my mouth. The meat is very tender, and the flavors are like a bite of heaven with every bite. JD the GM runs the place very well.“
