“This place is rad! What a cool bar to check out. The vibe was very chill for a mid week after work drink. They have pinballl which I will go back for, a pool table and different seating areas. The beer was kinda pricey but the wine was reasonable - and a healthy pour! Will return for sure.“

“So I had a weird experience once, but ever since, this place has stepped up their game!! I come in just for Jess because she's awesome, and Mariah's customer service skills and bartending technique have vastly improved!! This place is exactly what you're looking for if you're into dive bars, like I am. Great sports on every tv, pool table with a bunch of regulars always happy to welcome you to the table, and an amazing sense of community. One off night shouldn't affect a Yelp score so I'm upping from a 3 to a 5! This place is great! Definitely stop in and say what's up to Jess and Mariah!!“

“This bar is one of the South Bays true hidden gems! From the awesome and friendly staff to the excellent beer selection they have nailed the essence of the South Bay neighborhood dive bar! The pool tables are in great shape and u can always get a game, the pinball machines are challenging and fun, and the crowd is always friendly and a good time. Pair that with the bartenders Joe, Gina, Justin, and Carlos (aka Los) and you have a great night waiting to happen. I stopped by after work to avoid the 405 almost a year ago and I keep coming back. Trust me if you like a cool place to chill and mellow out this is your spot! Come on by you wont regret it! Ill add some more pics soon.Parking: U can definitely find a spot close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Its a flat lot and you can roll on in and if you like you can definitely roll on out wheel chair or not!“

Eagle's Nest Saloon Bar • $$

“So I was looking for a place that had karaoke near my friend's home since she doesn't have a car. I had never been here before, but am always open to trying new places. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, as many dive bars have a "members only" feel, but I was so impressed by how lovely, friendly, and happy everyone was! I have never in my entire life been treated so warmly by both bartenders and patrons as I was at the Eagle's Nest last night. Not only that--I frequent karaoke bars often, and the host and singers here were so kind and encouraging! Many other places take the karaoke too seriously and don't clap much for other people. Not here, though! Everyone claps, dances, and sings along, and everyone treats each other so nicely! It's just such good vibes all around and the KJ, Sammy, is awesome, too! Really great and charismatic host. They have karaoke every Wed-Saturday. Oh, and they have White Claw, which is such a bonus for me! I had such a blast here, and I will definitely be returning--probably regularly!! Thank you for providing such a fun and welcoming place to party, Eagle's Nest! My friends and I had so much fun!!!“

“As a Chicago transplant, I can’t say I miss sports bars. But I do miss the local neighborhood ones! Despite its almost punk rock aesthetic coupled with its pool table and arcade games, it’s incredibly welcoming and I only wish I lived closer to it to be one of its regulars there. You get people from all walks of life; which is sign of a great bar really.Simple and easy drinks with a solid happy hour what more could you want? Well how about some decent snacks? The food menu here is more than decent and so inexpensive; I come here just to have a Chicago dog more than I want a drink! I also love the they have two very popular tiki drinks as well! There’s plenty of room around; from chilling at the bar area, sitting in the spacious dining room, or standing at the high tops in the game room. (Won’t spoil the surprise, but there’s a very fun arcade game that everyone wants to win, that I’m sure so many have already seen). And if you love sports and miss our favorite home teams, I can’t think of anywhere else I’d want to watch them. That includes watching them at home.Vegetarian options: Vegan hot dogs!Parking: Long Blvd that had only 2 hours of parking until 6pm. Then you’re all gooooodWheelchair accessibility: Easy entry and table seating.“

The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the staff (Aerin, Spencer, Emma, and Maya) were all so helpful and accommodating. It sounds like a cliche given the name, but the energy of the space and the employees is exactly what'd you hope for when you think of the phrase "SoCal Vibes."On top of all that, the cost for the birthday was less than half of what a few other comparable bar/restaurants in the Venice/SM area were quoting me. That's not a knock on the other places, SCV is just very reasonably priced if you're looking to host a large group. Highly recommend anyone reading this consider SoCal Vibes whether you're planning an event or just need somewhere to unwind on the west side.“

“Ambiance and flavors are top-notch! I recently "discovered" this local restaurant and was SO impressed. The outdoor dining patio is encapsulated from the street noise and the restaurant transports you to a feeling of fine dining without hurting your wallet. The food is so darn flavorful; you can't go wrong with just the shareable pizzas, but be sure to try the main dishes. My wife loves the Mango Chicken and I'm a fan of the Cancun Steak. For dessert, the coconut flan is fantastic, but I will knock over a small child to get more of the Apple Tart Tatin with its caramelized fruit in butter and sugar. The bar is also stocked with top-shelf spirits, and the mojitos are sweetened with actual sugar cane freshly crushed and squeezed right there at the bar. Whether its a date night, special occasion, or you just want to eat something delicious, this is the type of restaurant that is a local favorite and honestly, will becomes yours too.“

“I am glad to see this New Romantic and hip restaurant take over this spot. It is beautiful and great for groups. Staff is kind and helpful. Parking options include self paid parking as well as valet. If you want free parking you will have to walk quite a bit. Prices and portions are as expected. Everything was delicious including the pesto and Tierra Donna pasta, branzino, mushroom and margarita (not a margarita fan since the sauce is normally whatever and there isn't enough cheese but this one is my fav since it has a good amount of cheese and the tomato sauce is robust) pizza but my favorites include the eggplant parm (my favorite one as it was delicious without being a messy heavy dish), tortellini, arancini, and their sundae/ice cream. A great spot if you are a vegetarian. We got salads as well including the Caesar but in the future I would skip them to make more room for the other items.“

The customer service is unmatched as well, the owner who is also from New Orleans was in and was so very kind, welcoming and really made us feel like family! Which is exactly what he said to us. If cocktails aren't your thing, you can ease into it with their reasonably priced boiler makers that get you a shot, and coors banquet. Love that they serve it in a can and not in a glass. What old man doesn't drink from a can.“

“I'd eat the chicken tenders everyday if I lived here, they're like nothing I've ever had. Absolutely get a basket of these if you're here. The server Dragon (yes that's his name) is the best server I think ive had. He has an amazing personality. Being a 49ers fan helped too. Lol.“

“This club is amazing. It’s like being in your friends living room, or at a friends private party. The customers are real jazz aficionados, which makes for a very cool vibe. The service is laid-back so if you’re a New Yorker, you might be a little put off by the lack of hustle. But nonetheless, they are very attentive and friendly. It’s a great club. If you’re ever in LA I highly recommend going to this club if you love jazz. Hidden gem!“

“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“

“Always chill, even on occasion people are friendly and talkative. Can play pool or darts or other games. I like the decore, pennies under resin on the oak bar, bathrooms are nice since the refurbishing. Prime Pizza walking distance (a lil far but not bad). Park across the street. Coffee place I haven’t been to a few doors down that closes shortly after this place opens. Lazy Daisy breakfast location right next door. Street parking at meters, or park down in the neighborhood south on the cross streets, not far at all. Sometimes I park and jog at the park then stop here. Also I like the jukebox app they got going. There’s also back alley parking and entrance. They just started offering pretzel, dog, snacks, I used to have to go to grey block pizza, now prime pizza. There are other Mexican, fast food, and 7/11 joints nearer. There’s a Whole Foods less than a block away too.“

“This night the establishment was really quiet, and although it wasn't as bustling, we attribute that to the rainy weather. Nonetheless, we were pleased with the quality of the food, and the $7.99 micheladas were particularly enjoyable. Furthermore, the service provided was exceptional.“
