“As we walked in there was no hostess and all the bartenders saw us but turned the other way. We waited but it looked completely empty so we were a bit confused whether or not they were open. They could have said, "welcome, someone will be with you shortly".My friend had to walk up and ask if we find a spot or wait for someone. They said we need to wait for a hostess (not friendly at all). The hostess was nice and so was our waiter, THANKFULLY. I gave 4 stars for the lack of welcoming and because I felt like it was hard to pick something I thought would be good. Food was average, nothing too exciting from what we ordered.“

It makes me think of my grandmother as this was always a treat me and her would go and get just the two of us and share with no one else. “I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wake Sakura in Gardena! It’s located on the second floor of the Tokyo Central market, which is a cool experience in itself. The restaurant has a sleek, modern, and clean atmosphere that feels very authentic.
You order everything on a tablet at your booth, and the plates are delivered directly to you on a high-speed conveyor belt, which is both efficient and fun to watch.
But the star of the show was, without a doubt, the Tuna Lovers plate. If you are a fan of tuna, this is a must-order. The quality was exceptional, especially for a conveyor belt-style restaurant. It featured a beautiful variety of cuts, from lean, clean-tasting akami to the rich, melt-in-your-mouth fatty toro. Every single piece was incredibly fresh, had a great texture, and was served on perfectly seasoned rice.
The quality of the fish here is a clear step above other conveyor belt spots. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for any sushi fan, but especially if you love high-quality tuna!“

“Fabulous sushi with just enough flair to let you know that Chef Daniel-son has above average skills in areas other than sushi - he does a Saba sandwich on homemade milk bread, plus a shrimp stone pot fried rice in addition to sushi (at least as of this visit). Two seatings, the later one is more relaxed if you don't mind eating late. And the sake selection is excellent.“

“Since I'm a very picky Japanese food eater, I tend to avoid anything that might be Japanese where it's not 100% Japanese. That said, I do enjoy the Thai food here. It's decent and filling. The staff are polite and I like it because it's in walking distance for me.

I have tried some Japanese-ish food like the lobster rolls or teriyaki chicken. Those dishes weren't bad if you consider them more California Asian cuisine. The prices are what you might expect these days for a spot like this. They do have lunch time specials so I think those are worth making the trip if you're in the area and want some decent Thai etc or something different.“

Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were outstanding! - (Not the ridiculous appetizer size portions a lot of Japanese restaurants serve). We went on a rainy weekday evening, the atmosphere was quiet. The place has an upscale neighborhood feel to it, extremely warm and comfortable. Uonigiri is easily one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever been to. The omakase is incredible — every course feels intentional and beautifully balanced. “By far the best sushi I’ve ever had! The quality here is unmatched—the sushi is extremely fresh and cannot be beat. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, and it was made to absolute perfection with beautiful presentation and incredible flavor.

“Found this place on Google while spending a night in LA near the airport 🛫. The place looks rough as heck, but don't be fooled. The food is incredible. Close to, if not the best sushi I ever ate. I get sushi everytime I travel to different places, so I have tried a fair bit. The place is self serve you set the table yourself and everything else. The fish was extremely fresh and the chef is an expert. He prepares the sushi 🍣 right out in the open so no secrets. The rolls are big and filling. On March 8, my older sister, Jennifer, and I went to Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant to eat sushi for lunch and I did not expect sushi to be this delicious and nutritious☺️. There exists countless options for Jenny and I, and customers to eat on their menu, but I think my older sister doesn’t want to eat a lot. Plus, there were plenty of drinks to choose from, but one thing I found out that there exists anime style drinks with likable anime characters from One Piece, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, and Sailor Moon, though I wish they also added other iconic anime characters from other popular anime IPs that every anime fan loves, you know, the ones from Dragon Ball, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyuu!!, etc.; not to mention Hololive, the world’s virtual YouTuber agency, Vocaloid, Love Live!, maybe Pokemon, cute anime girls, and more should have their own drinks, even Star Wars (influenced by Akira Kurosawa’s films and Japanese culture which George Lucas said that Akira Kurosawa is his idol) deserve their own drinks in sushi stores, but a man can dream, yes? Anyway, we ordered the sushi while I had ramen, and I just couldn’t get enough of eating them as I smiled. It was great and I wish I could’ve tried it sooner rather than later. One thing that I forgot to see is that there’s also a bar you can sit on, but I’ll try that next time. In conclusion, the Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant is recommended for everyone. Not bad Japanese food and I want to come back again sometime. Though, I want to see the restaurant filled with people, though. And, Tak E Sushi and Rolls, thank you for giving what the customers and I want. The honor is yours. I’ll see you again soon.“

“What a gem! Small, quiet, refined - here it’s all about quality, not quantity. Food is prepared really well and presented nicely. Staff is nice and helpful without being in your face all the time. The drinks menu could be a bit more inclusive. Otherwise this is an awesome place for a quiet diner for two (they only have bar seating so a party with more than 2 people would have a hard time communicating).

Also, I wouldn’t call this place especially child friendly but we took our 2 year old with us for dinner and he enjoyed most of the food (the cooked items) and the staff and patrons were rather pleased to have him there 😊“

Edges were not dry at all.I did check out the ROLLS as well, it didn't look as good as the Salmon selections.Please add additional soy sauce packet.At $14, it's an average price but certainly much better quality, thickness and size than other restaurants. As a TO-GO, tip is eliminated. Accessible.“
