“The food was delicious! I took my entire family to try the different kinds of biryanis and everyone loved the flavor, aroma and taste of them. It can be a little spicy for folks who don't eat it and the staff here are really considerate of that. This place is a must visit for anyone who likes biryani.“
“Went here on the 4th of July weekend for lunch. The service was quick maybe because the restaurant was pretty empty. We ordered a couple of curries, roti, naan and mango lassi. Mango lassi was the best I would say. The paneer makhni was too tangy and tasted tomato all over. Dal tadka was slightly watery and could be thicker.Good place for a quick bite. Would definitely try again to give them another chance.“
“Despite its fast-casual setup, this is one of my favourite places to order Indian food. The chicken biryani is delicious with fragrant basmati rice and juicy chicken chunks. I also like the bite-sized and large versions of the crunchy samosas. I'm a huge fan of street food, and Curry Up Now does it best.“
“It's a reasonable lunch for the price. It's a cute buffet and although it doesn't have a lot of variety, the food is delicious. The naan was so delicious. You can park right in front and to the side without any problems. Lunch is from 11:00am to 2:30pm and costs $17.95. There is only one outdoor magnet... If the weather is warm, the shade of the trees is a good place^^“
“Saturday was my first time trying the food here. Overall it was pretty good. I did the lunch combo that came with two entrees and rice with a side of bread. They do charge an upcharge for the garlic bread. I highly suggest just getting the regular bread and ordering a side of garlic bread because then you get double the bread for the price of the upcharge. The food overall was great... if you are in the mood for Indian food or something with curry then definitely hit this place up.“
“Vishnu Catering did a spectacular job at the event that I planned for ~100 people in Santa Barbara. They showed up on time, prepared, and were very professional to work with throughout the entire process. We haven't even gotten to the food yet - every single person at the event (desi and non-desi) enjoyed the food and praised the food to us. Of note, the rasmalai, double ka meetha, mutton curry, mango daal, chai, apollo fish, mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, aloo gobi, and more. You can't go wrong by choosing Vishnu Catering for your event. They were a hit. Thanks Ram, for all the effort and for helping making our day so special.“
“This is a hidden restaurant of authentic Indian curries and I'm sure it guarantees the most quality and flavor in the area. I had chicken marquee and vandalu combo number four and I feel healthy! If you're in Irvine, make sure you visit this place!!“
“SENSATIONAL SERVICE ! We have been here a couple of times for lunch in recent weeks and loved it. On Saturday my wife and I arrived here for lunch around 12.30pm. In fact the miserable cold damp weather screamed out for some delicious and hot food. It was pretty packed out when we entered but we found a table in a corner. I fetched us a couple of ice cold waters in plastic cups from their soda machine. We ran our hungry eyes over the menu determined to try something new. AND WE DID ! A very informed server named Arbaz helped us to make our selections. My wife ordered Chicken Tikka Masala ( cubed chicken pieces marinated in tandoor spices, cooked in the tandoor on a skewer ) and I decided on Vijayawada Special Biryani ( special flavored rice, layered with chicken and tossed in a spicy sauce ). Instead of our usual choice of Naan we picked a serve of Onion Kulcha ( leavened bread stuffed with onions and spices. I asked Arbaz to kick up my Biryani.....there were 3 levels of spiciness on offer and I chose medium. As I said earlier in my review we have been very impressed with the food quality here and today our talented server Arbaz has blown us away with his helpful advice. Our lunch orders arrived courtesy of Alex a food runner / server. HOLY GUACAMOLE ! I could not get over the sheer size of my mountain of Vijayawada Biryani. My wife's Chicken Tikka Masala looked very appetizing. WHERE ? For some reason our Onion Kulcha ( bread ) didn't arrive at the same time. We had to chase it up with Arbaz. When it did finally arrive it was more cold than warm..a bit of a letdown ! My wife thought her Chicken Tikka Masala tasted as good as it gets. I dished out a few big spoonfuls of my Biryani onto my meat dish and added some of the side sauces. It went well with the Onion Kulcha. SUPER DELICIOUS ! The chicken tasted fabulous and the medium spice level was perfect for me ...a level 5 I would say. Arbaz had explained to me that for this dish the chicken is special coated then marinated and left to sit for a while. It truly was delicious. I had another serve of my delicious Biryani but in the end had to box virtually 2/3rds to take home. My wife boxed the remainder of her Chicken Tikka Masala too. DESSERT ! When I checked in here Yelp offered me a FREE DESSERT with purchase over $20. YES PLEASE ! I love free anything so I asked Arbaz for my free dessert....I chose the cold one called Rasmalai ( a Bengali dish ). I've had it here before....it tastes like rice soaked in creamy milk. So I polished off my enjoyable dessert...perfect after my spicy Biryani. WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK !“
“Visited with in laws during our trip to socal this Easter break. I thought it was at the Irvine spectrum but it was closer to the industrial center and thus, easier parking (although may hard to find at first). I can tell this place is hectic during the business day lunch break. Order at the counter then wait for your food; ours was not a long wait on a Saturday at 4pm. Many options. Many many many! So take your time and be adventurous but always, always get the mint chuntney. Flavors will rock your socks off. I think this business model would lend itself to fast expansion like Cava or Chipotle so I wish all the best to the staff and ownership. Very approachable, easy to enjoy Indian food (albeit not maybe 100% authentic, but it’s still very satisfying)“
