Experience Kings Beach's Mexican food at these fantastic spots.
“Quite, comfortable, and relaxing little place in Lake Tahoe!! Would highly recommend this place if you like authentic Mexican food... great outdoor setting area and friendly staff. Will return next time around...Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp“
“Las Panchitas is a gem of a Mexican restaurant! The carnitas chimichanga was a mouthwatering delight, packed with flavor and perfectly crispy. The staff exuded warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. The lively atmosphere made it feel like a fiesta, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.“
“It's a basic taco bell. Very small and cozy. The food was pretty good.Parking: It's behind the building. About 15 spots are shared between all the businesses in the plaza, so I can imagine it will be full depending on the day/season/holiday.“
“Good selection of food and drinks. Great sangria and prickly pear margarita. Wonderful setting and service, Happy customers. Everything was delicious for a late impromptu dinner.Even the chips and salsa were awesome, light and crisp with a well balanced tasty salsa, I did enjoy the consistency of the salsa, different from most places I go to, and I liked it.“
“The building is super cute! They recently did a remodel and you can tell! It's super adorable and quaint. So I enjoyed that! The good... The drinks!!! They are delish! Really really well done! As well as the Guac and the Salsas! They were so good we took the extra home! Yum! The staff was super nice and attentive having it be a busy Saturday night and were quick to get drinks and food items to us! Now onto the main food. The veggie tacos were straight so amazing and good! The shrimp tacos were a little sad. They had good flavor. But only 3 skrrrriiimp on a huge flour tortilla for $11 a taco... is like... uh corn tortilla could make the 3 shrimp seem like much more! The garlic ribeye was very dry like it had been sliced and just sitting out, although another friend with the same order stated hers wasn't dry at all. 4 stars because $11 for a 3 shrimp taco on a huge flour tortilla didn't fit well. Now $6-8 for that same taco. I probably would have given 5 stars. $200 tab for 5 drinks, 3 taco plates, 1 burrito bowl, chips, salsa, and guac.“
“The food is good tasting and healthy. As a local I eat here several times a month. The breakfast burritos are good and lamb bowl as well. Only complaint would be overpriced salads for what you get but overall good choice for a healthy eatery.“
“In a town full of Mexican food, the burrito window stands out. It is a breath of fresh air to have crisp salads and healthy options available in an order at the counter environment. We often stop by for lunch and it is always busy and always delicious! Bonus that you can get to the beach in about 3 minutes.“
“Highly recommend their burritos. We tried both the chicken and tri tip burrito. Both were flavorful and large. It is a small place that does a brisk business. Many people were picking up orders they had called ahead for. We walked in and ordered to go. Service was quick! We tried both the mild and medium sauce. The medium could have used more of a kick/spice.“
“Very great experience!!! Great prices compared to some of the other restraunts here. Ate here 3 times throughout our stay. I got the quesadillas, tortilla soup, and churros. They were all great! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting here!!!✅✅✅??“
“This is easily the freshest, most authentic and best Mexican food on the North Shore of Tahoe. We picked up takeaway and our car smelled amazing. The menu has everything, & the choices of meat are wonderful. The Machaca is lean, savory and smells incredible. The steak fajitas are made only with the best ingredients. The taqueria weee clearly made in house. Nothing was oily or salty like so many other places. The Horchata was a treat. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic and was clearly made in house using high quality ingredients. Their shop & butcher is attached. We are locals and only visited La Mexicana after reading a TripAdvisor review. Unfairly, La Mexicana is hidden in “Quick Bites” although it has a full menu and a nice secluded outside eating area. There was also plenty of parking. We are going to become regular diners.“
