“Food was absolutely delicious. We originally searched for a deli on Google because we were hungry and thought we’d give this place a try. Their Mexican style sandwiches were amazing. They also serve tacos, burritos etc. It’s also a little grocery store and they have snacks and drinks.“
“Visiting here from out of town and my wife's vegetarian so we found this on yelp and decided to give her a try. Because of the prices she was a little bit skeptical so we went with the spicy chicken with fries and the order of Al Pastor Taco She loved both of them and the service was amazing. Wish this was a local joint for us here in Sacramento, but every time we go to Reno this is a sure visit for both of us. I wish people understand the cost of running a vegetarian restaurant. I've seen pop-up vegetarian shops charge more let alone for a brick and mortar. You should feel lucky that you have a place like this to go to as a vegan/vegetarian. 3/29/24“
“We’re moving to Reno from Mexico City in a few weeks and could not be more excited to have found a burrito place with so much flavor!Burritos are not the thing in CDMX, occasionally we found a few spots that offered them. We’re originally from Denver Colorado, and we’re always so hyped about burritos, and finding the perfect burrito wherever we go.Speedy Burrito has satisfied our obsession for smothered burritos!❤️We’ll be back!!!“
“First time in but not the last. Great asada taco, really enjoyed the cheese shell. The tinga was a little spicy for me but that's a personal preference. They offer 50% of alcohol on Tuesday and my Pacific was $2.90. What a deal! Will definitely be back.“
“I have been coming here a lot because it’s right next to my work. Food is always excellent even though I always get the same thing. Service has always been good as well. Probably the only place that’s worth it to add bacon to a sandwich as it’s good quality and they use a lot of it.“
“We had come to this restaurant under it's previous name, so when it changed ownership we decided to come back and try out the new business. We ordered brunch for take out on the weekend. Aesthetic wise everything looks the same as it previously did. It's not a huge restaurant but can probably accommodate a couple of larger groups. The food was tasty overall, nothing to complain about but maybe also nothing that entirely knocked our socks off. But just a good standard breakfast option. Unfortunately they were having issues with their point of sale system while they were there and that was causing things to be a little backed up at the counter. We also ended up being double charged so we had to fix that with the cc company, however I'm sure they'll work out those issues quickly.“
“love this place! great selection of chilaquiles, the coffee is brought out with the whole traditional shebang. bean toast is brought out instead of chips and salsa for a new touch and mexican bread or funnel cake is brought after the meal also!!!!“
“Absolute gem of a Mexican restaurant in Reno. We stumbled onto this restaurant after landing early at the airport, and I'm so happy we did. The restaurant is adorable...it feels like the outdoors was brought indoors with fountains, exposed brick and skylights. The tables have beautiful Mexican tiles. We had the Paloma, which was delicious..homemade chips and salsa were also delicious. We did not have lunch but all the food passing by us looked authentic, delicious, and plentiful.“
“Bomb food. Google says they're still in lemmon valley, but they've been at the gas station on the corner of Keystone and west 7th consistently for months. Haven't tried everything, but so far: the shrimp tacos, carne asada fries, churros, and tamales have been the best. Got a side of pozole for free to try and it was excellent. Always nice service.“
“Recently impressed me with its delicious food and friendly service. The restaurant itself was clean and well-organized, creating a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying a meal. The star of the show was definitely the Tacos al pastor. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked, with a delightful balance of savory and smoky flavors. It's easily one of the best versions of this dish I've had in a long time. Also, had delish drinks while we were waiting for our food.“
“Definitely will be going back. We had the taco spread and the birria tacos. Loved the presentation and the intimate setting. Quality salsa is always something we appreciate and they delivered. Worth noting is that you do have to pay for chips — which is kinda surprising considering that most everything is $17 and up — and any sides (rice/beans, etc.). If you ask for water you’ll be paying for that too, as they serve plastic bottled water. That wasn’t mentioned when we ordered water either. Still, waitress was friendly and food was delicious and flavorful. Seems like you could order anything and it will fill and satisfy you.“
“After reading the reviews on this place I decided to order dinner for take out. I ordered the number one: three taco dinner plate. Two carne asada tacos and one lengua. The lengua was SUPER tender. It was cooked to perfection. All three tacos were delicious. Beans were nice and soft and creamy. Rice had a few stiff pieces in it but I came in literally as they were closing so I’m sure it was the end of the night rice. They held the door open for me so I could pay for my dinner and take it home. Thank you so much! They also have fresh baked goods and gorgeous handmade cakes. There is masa and home made salsa available too. The two pastries I purchased were so flaky and tasty. Very fun for dessert. Staff were very kind and friendly. Will definitely be eating here again.Vegetarian options: There are veggies options!Parking: Small parking lot right out front. Street parking also available.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big ramp to access the restaurant.“
“One of our favorite spots for lunch and honestly, the best carne asada burrito I've ever had in my life! Order it as it comes, and they'll include rice, beans, Pico de Gallo and guacamole for no additional charge. Dine in and they'll also include chips and salsa! Be careful, the salsa is HOT! Very clean dining room and lots of parking available out front. always friendly staff, lots of drink options.“
“Im not sure if this is a family run business or not, however you definitely feel like family when you eat here! Everyone is so friendly and nice. Food was absolutely delicious. I HATE quac but devoured what they put on my plate like I’ve been eating it my whole life! It was so good! Everything we had on our table was good. Chimichanga, quesadillas, and even a salad. Yum. Yum. Yum. My most favorite part was it was extremely handicapped accessible! Even had the front door opened for me coming in and leaving.Parking: Pretty open. A lot of open businesses for rent so not a lot of competition for parking.Kid-friendliness: Took my kids and nobody batted an eye. They’re 6 and 8 but on the spectrum. Sometimes they have issues with textures and won’t eat. They behaved but spoke loud to each other. Was like they weren’t even there.Wheelchair accessibility: Could get anywhere in my chair. They even opened the door for me.“
“Visiting Nevada and I’m so happy that I was introduced to this fantastic spot! Very pleasant and friendly environment. Great customer service. GREAT FOOD. Such an amazing experience. Service here - makes you feel like you’re part of the family.“
“Casa Grande is quick, consistent, and flavorful! Their wait staff is very attentive and prompt. Everyone checks on your table as they walk by, not just your waitress. They have lots of seating with many booths available. I like their enchiladas and taco salad!“
“Such a cozy space!! Everyone was very kind and made you feel like family! The food was amazing! I wish I had a second stomach or three to be able to try other dishes! If you’re close by, go! Your taste buds and tummy will thank you!Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere! Many families with younger children present during our meal“
“This is an authentic Mexican family restaurant. I enjoyed a savory Chile Verde burrito, covered with salsa Verde, pico de gallo, and sour cream. It's simply excellent.I took several pictures including one showing the contents. There is ample meat. This is the type of business I want to support. The food and service are both excellent. Their 4.7 Google score is evidence enough.“
“This is a GREAT place if you want to eat GDL (Guadalajara) style, IYKYK! Tortas Ahogadas was on point, I had the carnitas, it was great. My family also ordered tacos dorados and that was no disappointment, we also ordered Nachos fries, the taste was good but the fries weren't cooked to a crisp but the flavor of the Carne Asada was great. If you ordered them I would suggest to ask for them to be fry more crispier if you like them like that. He also ordered a side of Guacamole, it had a good fresh taste but, it was a bit salty, otherwise it was good. My son ordered tacos de birria de res, he said the taste was good but they didn't add to much meat on them, so he said, that other than that the consume was good. Their Agua de Chia with Pepino was wonderful, very refreshing, recommended. When we were leaving we say a sign that said that they had: Atole de Guayaba", I am a Guava lover so we bought 2. That Atole was amazing, recommended as well. The service was great our waitress was real pleasant. I would probably recommended for this place to have tortillas chips, their guacamole would great with it. This place is no disappointment.Parking: It was like in a shopping center so plenty of parking.“
“We went there again last night for dinner. We have become regulars weekly. We absolutely love this place. Leslie was very attentive. We asked for a Horchata margarita. It was quite tasty. We all ordered a 3 item plate which is normally 17.99 but we always go between 2:30 and 5:30 due to their Happy Hour pricing. Those who complain about the pricing should try their same items they like during these hours. If you can't go during the week due to working, go on the weekends. Same Happy Hour pricing. They have some awesome looking dishes that serve 2-3 people. At 49.00 for the dish, but if you go on Happy Hour pricing it's 40 % off, food and drinks. We have never had a bad meal, it's always hot, if you don't like something they will be happy to correct it, great service, always friendly. We love it !! Our new favorite place for Mexican.“
“We decided to eat at El Jefe’s Cantina at Circus Circus at the Row in Reno. I ended eating the Quesabirria (Braised Beef Shortribs, Asadero Cheese, Chopped White Onions, Cilantro And a Delicious Consommé). My wife opted for the Chicken Fajita which came on a Sizzling Platter and Flour Tortillas. Ohhh Boy…Both Plates were DELICIOUS!!! Also, our Server, “Mitchell C.” Was OUTSTANDING!!! Highly Recommended!!!“
“This place is so great, we have our business meetings there over lunch, and drinks Friday evening, outstanding service and food, never ever had a bad meal and have been doing this for a while nowParking: Always a spot close, Friday nights a little tight, but this place is real popular“
“The service is great and quick. I’ve never had to wait even on a busy weekend. Everything I’ve tried from here is good. I usually get steak fajitas but have also had pozole, quesadilla, taco salad, and horchata. Everything is good quality. Chips and salsa are complimentary.“
“I have now dined here 4-5 times now and have to say that everything is great. The food is delicious, service is attentive and friendly, the portions are huge and I love that they can make Specialty Coffees (not all breakfast places offer this). Their menu is extensive and everything sounds so great, it's hard to choose! Today I visited with a group of 10 gal pals to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday and it was a very nice surprise when they brought a "celebration plate" to the table with French Toast, drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces, topped with bananas, strawberries & whipped cream with a Birthday Candle and we all sang to our friend. I love it when establishments go above and beyond to be celebratory! You made our gathering super special and we thank you!!“
“I used the drive thru. Just moved all day and was broke and starving and it was close. That girl had the BEST "customer service" voice. That's how it's done. Lol. Got fish tacos and burrito deal. Perfect. My first visit. I'll be back.“
“Regularly make the trek from south Reno to come here for their food. Every time I come out, the chips are great, tacos taste amazing and even their beans and rice make a great impression. No complaints! I’ve lived in South Texas and California for the majority of my life and this place has the most authentic street tacos I’ve found in Reno.“
“Since moving to Reno I’ve been trying as many new restaurants as possible in search of the best veggie burrito. The flor de calabaza here is, by far, at the top of list. Great flavor, has some crunch, and the salsa has a great spice (I like hot). Friendly staff, good price, and great location, so will be a regular here.“
“Awesome authentic mexican food! Went in right before closing without realizing and they hooked it up and were super nice about not being able to dine in. Owner offered me a free drink because he felt bad, what good people! The food was spot on too, quesa birria tacos were out of this world good. Eat here, you'll be glad you did.“
“Kafana ... kinda weird name for a coffee shop casino restaurant. It's a pretty standard coffee shop, but I did notice they have a Monte Christo sandwich here. You don't see that very often, so that's what I got.It comes with fries or hashbrowns, I got the hashbrowns. The sandwich came and I saw the hashbrowns were cooked on the light side. The sandwich had quite a thick batter, like a piece of fried chicken. It was a decent Monte Cristo, but I may try something else next time.Service was fine and the restrooms were clean enough.“
“A quick walk from "The Row", this is the best authentic Mexican you're going to find in the area. Don't be afraid to take a few minutes to check out the "menu" on the wall to the left when you walk in. The food is carefully and often beautifully prepared and it will hit the spot.“
“Despite being a tad pricier than other restaurants in the city, this restaurant out in the middle of nowhere is always packed with patrons and serving warm hugs on a plate. I grew up in New Mexico and am picky about my carnitas and enchiladas food. This place is legit. Few Mexican places cook good seafood - most overcook shrimp, fish, etc. Maria's is just right. The shrimp in cream sauce - I'm writing home about it! The first few times I was here, I wondered if there was a senior home across the street. lol. Every table was older. Well, Nonna took us here and ran into 2 other grandmas who also told their friends and family. Proof that word of mouth works! We have come back quite a few times. It's top of mind for when we eat out now!“
“I had an excellent dining experience at this Mexican Peruvian restaurant. The service was outstanding, surpassing all expectations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was not only delicious but also showcased the fusion of Mexican and Peruvian flavors seamlessly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, giving it a solid 10/10 for its impeccable service and delectable cuisine.“
“Best South of the border food North of the border I've had in over twenty years.Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved it.Wheelchair accessibility: Someone might need to hold the door. But from the handicapped parking spot to the tables inside seemed simple enough to me.“
“UNBELIEVABLE! We went for breakfast after checking out from grand sierra. Ordered the huevos rancheros and it was SO GOOD we ordered burritos to go for future enjoyment. Best everything but special shoutout to the fresh salsa and HAND MAND tortillas.“
“I’ve been going here for ten or more years now, and I have found their service and quality to be consistently great. They have the best burritos in town. I also love the cabeza they prepare. The food is always brought to you quickly. It’s a trustworthy choice for a lunch break on a busy work day.“
“Ordered through DoorDash and was very pleased with the flavor and portion size. The carne asada was seasoned well and not too fatty. My food was prepared, and delivered fast. It was nice and hot. I will be ordering from here again. Would love to try other items on the menu.“
“A hot day at the Legends of Beer event back in September brought me to this taco truck, which was one of the food vendors. I LOVE tacos so had to give them a try. Being filled up with beer and needing to pace myself I ordered some Birria tacos. Seems like you find Birria everywhere these days but man Lety's makes a mean and tasty one. If you stumble upon this truck while out and about definitely give them a try.“
“Murrieta's food is always impeccable. The last time I went there was for date night with my fiance. We were both over the moon with our orders. We had a wonderful mariachi band that played for us, however the waiter was less than friendly.“
“?Lovely. Comfortable leather seating. Music low enough to have a conversation ?The Seafood Enchiladas were better than I have had in 30 vacations in Mexico. The Wait Staff is perfect. Their home made Bean Dip is unique and addictive!Excellent bar and great Marguerites ?The Best Mexican restaurant in Reno! And I have been here for 80 years!Vegetarian options: You can ask for anything you want. They will prepare itDietary restrictions: Diabetic friendly drinks and menu optionsParking: Huge parking lot“
“We tried La Fonda for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. Parking during lunch time was a bit tight, but the market next door was very busy. The place is spacious inside, and the service was quick and friendly. The fresh salsa and tasty margaritas were a hit, and my wife loved the fajitas. We didn’t get to try their dessert, but we will definitely be back.“
“Talk about a hidden gem. Very reasonably prices food and very authentic Mexican food. I had the quesabierra tacos which were phenomenal. We also had the chicken taco salad. It has great flavor and was very filling. No doubt up there as one of the best authentic Mexican places in reno.Vegetarian options: Vegan Burrito is on the menu“
“Huge portions! My husband and I shared the Molcajete and it was plenty for both of us. We were a large part of 12 and they allowed us to reserve space ahead of time and had tables arranged to accommodate us. Very friendly staff. We went on my parents' recommendation, and we'd gladly go back .“
“I love tacos. I mean, I REALLY love tacos. I try every kind I can find. This place has THE BEST in town. And even though I love to try new things, I’ve never moved much past the pressed chicharrons with red sauce, because they are absolutely mouthwatering. The spicy salsa is absolutely killer. Everything here… the sautéed onions, blistered jalapeños…. I LOVE La Bufa!“
“The server was a little slow....... However I know that the food is excellent because I've been here before. The music was a little loud and we were not the only patrons saying that. The food is really good and I recommend any seafood dish. The server was cleaning tables next to us as we were eating using a 409 cleaning solution. The mist and the smell was overbearing and we had to stop eating for a few minutes. They should not spray it they should use it in a cloth to wipe down tables.Parking: There's limited amount of parking on the street so plan on walking a little bit.Wheelchair accessibility: There are two handicap parking spots directly across from the restaurant.“
“Husband and I came in for lunch and the Food was amazing! We had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. The service was great. Two men helped us and they were very friendly. Its a pretty big place with a sports bar area. Staff was on point and friendly. Shredded beef was my favorite it was so juicy.“
“Fast service and they even have a convenient drive thru. Food is fairly authentic with generous portions and the aunties serving are super friendly. The Tacos, Burritos and smothered Burritos were delicious! Speed of food preparation is fast and efficient considering it's mostly made fresh upon ordering. There are enough seats to seat about 7~8 parties of 4. Comfortable art highlighting Mexican culture.Vegetarian options: There are bean burrito options.Parking: Parking lot adjacent to building structure and the drive-tnru line goes thru the lot, so park a few spots away to give a wide berth for those waiting in the queue.“
“We went here for dinner last night and it was kind of a mixed bag for us. Regarding the positives: service was excellent from the time we walked in and and were shown to our table. Our server was attentive and funny! She is the reason that pushed a three star review to a four! And the place was decorated for Día de Muertos so it had a very festive ambiance. I loved their promoted Jalapeño Margarita! I was a little skeptical that this $14 margarita would be worth it but it was! Our server brought the margarita in a little covered shaker that had jalapeños in it and poured it into my spicy chili salt-rimmed glass. It had a nice kick to it and there was enough in the shaker to fill my glass two more times! We also loved that they bring out chips, salsa (with extra salsa in a little carafe) AND bean dip to the table! Their bean dip is made with lard but they will bring out bean drip made without lard if you ask for it, like I did. The not-so-positives: their chips are not the best in town but they are an ok vehicle to use for the salsa and bean dip. For my meal, I had their Seafood Relleno. I love chile rellenos and their menu describes this dish as a chile poblano served over a seafood mixture of shrimp, crab, scallops, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions, smothered in a rich cream sauce and served with guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. So it was a nice surprise when there were also refried beans and rice on my plate! Nice except the beans are made with lard -- if I had known, I would have asked for their black beans instead. I gave the beans to my husband. As for the rest of the dish, the seafood mixture was good but the cream sauce is VERY rich. Almost too rich for me. And the fried coating on the chile was very dense and not very good. I took it off and ate the chile. My husband thought his Burrito Loco was ok -- it was huge and he would probably choose something else if we go back here again.“

“The BEST Mexican food in town, hands down! Excellent, innovative food & margaritas, extremely friendly & fast service! Very reasonably priced, two can easily eat for under $50.I highly recommend the Ahai Ceviche, Quesabirria tacos, shrimp tostadas, cauliflower-apple tacos with spicy crema (yes they're surprisingly delicious! ) and their margarita specials, Mango being my favorite or a large glass bottle of mexican Coke!Lots of seating with the back enclosed patio. They handle busy rushes like pros so never any long waiting. Limited parking in back but we always find a spot. I cannot wait to eat here again & again.“
