We've selected Sun Valley's finest Mexican eateries for you.
“Fast Mexican and Salvadorian food. As far as fast food establishments serving similar food, El Paisano ranks in the top 10. Parking is at a premium. I usually call in my order. Fair prices, good food. Lacks inconsistency in making pupusas. Different workers use more or less of the stuffing, creating an inconsistent product.“
“I've been seeing videos on Instagram about birria tacos for weeks now, and the more that I watch them, the more they're shown to me. If I still lived in SoCal, this wouldn't be a problem, since basically every video I saw was from San Diego, OC, or LA, but as it is, I was left with an intense desire to try the elusive birria taco in northern Nevada. My searches weren't garnering too many helpful results, but that's when I just happened to go to Taqueria Mendoza doing a delivery. And what did I see on the menu but quesabirria tacos: EXACTLY the thing I was looking for. Now, a couple days later, I made my way back up to Sun Valley to finally try them for myself (as well as a gordita, since the only gordita I've ever tried is from Taco Bell) and let me tell you they did not disappoint. These tacos were everything I'd hoped they would be, and if I'm ever craving birria again, I know where I'm going.Kid-friendliness: Nothing specifically designed for kids on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, but the door might be a bit narrow for wheelchair access.“
“Never really had a problem with them but they have been getting better the past couple months.Vegetarian options: A lil bit of opshions in a lil bit of everything.Parking: Lots of spCeKid-friendliness: Like any other fast foodWheelchair accessibility: Good“
“Food was absolutely delicious. We originally searched for a deli on Google because we were hungry and thought we’d give this place a try. Their Mexican style sandwiches were amazing. They also serve tacos, burritos etc. It’s also a little grocery store and they have snacks and drinks.“
“The BEST Mexican food in town, hands down! Excellent, innovative food & margaritas, extremely friendly & fast service! Very reasonably priced, two can easily eat for under $50.I highly recommend the Ahai Ceviche, Quesabirria tacos, shrimp tostadas, cauliflower-apple tacos with spicy crema (yes they're surprisingly delicious! ) and their margarita specials, Mango being my favorite or a large glass bottle of mexican Coke!Lots of seating with the back enclosed patio. They handle busy rushes like pros so never any long waiting. Limited parking in back but we always find a spot. I cannot wait to eat here again & again.“
“Visiting here from out of town and my wife's vegetarian so we found this on yelp and decided to give her a try. Because of the prices she was a little bit skeptical so we went with the spicy chicken with fries and the order of Al Pastor Taco She loved both of them and the service was amazing. Wish this was a local joint for us here in Sacramento, but every time we go to Reno this is a sure visit for both of us. I wish people understand the cost of running a vegetarian restaurant. I've seen pop-up vegetarian shops charge more let alone for a brick and mortar. You should feel lucky that you have a place like this to go to as a vegan/vegetarian. 3/29/24“
“This restaurant is a hidden gem in Sun Valley. Interior is very clean, bright and decorated so cute. Karla gave us the best service! We started with one of the bloody Mary's and some fresh squeezed orange juice. The orange juice was amazing and the Bloody Mary was good, but my second cocktail (michelada) was amazing! Made perfectly and so refreshing. Perfect start to my weekend! For entrees we had biscuits and gravy and verde chilaquiles. Portions are large here which is good because the food is so great you want to just keep eating! Great dining experience and worth the short drive to Sun Valley!“
