“Susuru holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried a number of items on their menus and everything is ???. I can’t stress enough about how good this ramen is. I’ve only known about Susuru for a month or so but have eaten here over 8 times. All of the broths are rich and authentic. The Thai coconut curry ramen is mind blowing and a generous serving. My go tos are the Miso and Tonkatsu. Add spice for extra flavor. I brought my coworkers here and everyone’s bowls were finished down to the last drop of broth. Easily one of the best ramens shops in LA. It’s got a great mom and pop atmosphere. Food comes out quick. What else can I say, I’m in love with Susuru. Anytime I want ramen in the future, I’m going to come here. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. ?“

“Make a reservation if you go here! We came on a Saturday afternoon and even though there were tables open they asked us if we had a reservation & when we said no they made us wait which threw us off a little! That being said, it's a gorgeous location and the ramen is amazing. The broth is absolutely divine & love that they gave an abundance of toppings. I will be back!“

“Hands down the best Mazesoba in town! Firm warm noodles with eggs that enhances texture. Topped with their special tan-tan style sauce and finished with chives, green onions, ginger and all that good stuff. Super friendly and attentive staff although I personally prefer getting it to go thanks to the speedy service. An interesting menu item is their signature Mazesoba but mixed in with curry sauce. You would think the curry would overpower the noodles but the taste still stands strong and shines through the curry to form something incredibly unique. Definitely worth trying if you're ever nearby.“

“I'm back at this restaurant and it hasn't disappoint me yet! I brought my son today and he is in heaven! I don't know why it says it's close when it's open? But it's under new management. The all you can eat menus are great and the food is amazing. For the money you paying it's worth the food your eating. Very tasty and decent size portions not to much rice! The service is definitely on point! I know the previous times I've been here service was okay and they would take a long time to feed you but this time around I give them 5 stars! Definitely upgraded in the service department...I definitely recommend this place come try it out! Definitely the best all you can eat place I've eaten! They give you good portions“

“Exceptional! Awesome little spot with an interesting location. Who knew the bottom of an office building could be so well executed as a restaurant? First, the food was amazing. I had the California roll, the avocado roll, and the cucumber roll. All were good, though I thought the California roll had the crab-to-avocado and cucumber ratio mixed up. Too much crab for my liking. Our service was efficient and friendly, quickly filling us up with water and attending to our needs. I would 100% return!“

“I ordered the chicken ramen, comes with seaweed, boiled egg, corn, green onions and your choice of protein. I thought the ramen was very good. Only issues were there is no complimentary parking so you have to pay for valet which is 6$. With the already expensive ramen be prepared to spend about 40-50$ for two people.“

“This place is totally underrated and deserves more attention. Food is excellent and on par with other great Japanese restaurants. This is my second time here and I’ve throughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, sushi tastes fresh and they serve large portions. What else could you want?“

“Best Ramen in Silver Lake. The broth is uncious and satisfying. If you have no allergies, get the egg (I add dried seaweed as well). Large servings even at the smaller portion price point. Inside dining is tight, but outside heating does the trick.“

“Probably the best place I've tried sushi. Large portions and excellent prices. As a fairly big guy, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish two regular plates. The service is top-notch. My best wishes to this establishment“

“This is a small but filled of warmth restaurant. You need to wait in line for a while but is quick. The ramen here is authentic and the soup flavor is pretty nice and rich. I like their teriyaki chicken wings, it tasted sooo great. The gyoza has 8 pieces but not expensive. They have three flavors of ramen and you can choose the quantity of meat. Also they have thin and thick noodles can choose. The service here is friendly and serving speed is fast. The atmosphere here is warm and delicate. Great!I stumbled into this small ramen shop by chance. There are only three types, clear tonkotsu, heavy tonkotsu and spicy miso. However, the soup is great, rich and not too salty, and the meat is very smooth and tender but not greasy. I ordered the teriyaki chicken wings. Very, very recommended! The skin is very crispy, the meat is super soft and tender! The fried dumplings are average but not very generous. The service and environment are pretty good!“

“This is my second time going here. The ramen is very very yummy. On top of the delicious food, they have incredible service. Let me tell you about ✨️ROXANNE✨️! She saved my dog when it ran into oncoming traffic! She physically stopped the semi truck with her own two hands, even pushing it farther back so my dog was 100% unscathed. Then the solar eclipse happened and she was the last one illuminated before the sky went dark. One arm holding my little pug, the other halting the truck. She is truly incredible! ?“

“We came here on a Tuesday night looking for a quick but savory meal. It was busy but there were some seats open. casual place. The food came out quite quickly, and as a whole it was very good. We got chicken kaarage, which was a good portion for its price. The accompanying spicy mayo was unexpectedly quite nice. boy got the blaze, which he really liked. I got the classic ramen, which was flavorful and not too salty. The noodles were cooked very well, and the broth warmed me nicely. I have came here before craving the tsukemen, and it is for the most part quite good but always ends up tasting very salty by the end. will probably still come back and order it again though.“

“When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious. The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles. We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“

Each time I order, I'm never disappointed by the quality of the food. Also, packaging for takeout is perfect it never spills! I love this Ramen spot a lot and noticed I never wrote a review so it was time to do so. <3“

“We had zero expectations when we walked in - just needed a bite before heading to the Fonda. It was AMAZING!! We don't live nearby, but we've been telling everyone how much we loved it. Extremely kind staff, wonderful food, real wasabi available. It's not fancy and the prices are reasonable and we really appreciated that vibe. So good!! We'll be back any time we're in the area and are already looking forward to it.“

“It is chilly in LA tonight so how about some miso soup? Waku waku was just what we were looking for. We ducked in to warm up with a couple of bowls of miso and a salad. Waku waku also serves ramen, sushi and pokes. It all looks good we are staying up the block at the Dream only a block and a half away. We plan to come back soon. Recommend.“

“This place is the definition of a hidden gem. Unbelievably amazing ramen everything is just right with flavor and spice. Very laid back aesthetic and service was wonderful. I ordered and highly recommend the spicy tonkotsu it was probably the best I have had in Los Angeles. Outside of the amazing ramen they have so much more to offer. I cannot gush over this place enough. If I could I would give it 6 stars out of 5 just for havingSapporo and asahi on draft on top of everything else.“

“Solid ramen spot in South Pasadena, great, attentive, chill service on a stormof a Sunday, served food nearly after I placed my order, reasonable prices for portions given, generous on your chashu pork & kimchi for kimchi ramen, appreciate they saved me from overeating & just took the small portion of food I wasn’t able to finish. Broth & noodles were warm with good texture on the noodles. Didn’t even ask for a tip, pleasant surprise beyond the meal before I took off. Ambiance is definitely relaxed and they maintain a clean restroom if you need to use it of course. -would give business again“

“Been to the one in sawtelle before but it was my first time at this location -- the food was great as always. Loved the spicy tonkotsu ramen I had. “I've lived in this area almost 3 years and have been wanting to try it since. It definitely didn't disappoint. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was on point. Large portions and truly crispy.I had the vegan ramen , ordered spicy but was hardly spicy. We asked for more chili paste. The noodles weren't as soft as I like but that's a personal preference I guess. My son had the seafood ramen which he enjoyed.I also really enjoyed their Thai Tea. Most places make it too sweet but here, it was just right.Space is small but we saw two large groups seated comfortably inside.Would definitely come back and try other items.“

“The Ramen was the best I’ve had since my trip to Japan. And the ice cream was great. “Let's start with the service extremely helpful and very fast. You can choose to use the kiosk to or order at the register. Personally I usually walk away with the "build your own" adding an extra egg and green onions. Though no matter what you go for I'm sure you will love it.“
“Mikomi Japanese Restaurant in Alhambra has seamlessly filled the shoes of its predecessor, EMC, offering a refreshing take on Japanese cuisine. During a recent lunch visit, we indulged in their lunch bento box, which showcased their mastery of flavors, particularly evident in the beef and chicken teriyaki dishes. The sweet teriyaki glaze perfectly complemented the tender meat, leaving a lasting impression. Beyond lunch, Mikomi's happy hour menu steals the spotlight, with discounted sushi and other favorites enticing diners to return time and again. In addition to their delectable offerings, Mikomi shines in the realm of service. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism enhance the dining experience, making guests feel welcomed and valued. However, navigating the parking situation can pose a challenge, as the restaurant shares the shopping mall with numerous popular eateries and stores like Sprouts. Despite this minor inconvenience, Mikomi Japanese Restaurant stands out as a must-visit destination in Alhambra, offering exceptional cuisine and top-notch service that keep patrons coming back for more.“

“A solid all you can eat sushi spot for the money. Lots of room, but it can get pretty busy.We did the regular all you can eat but next time I’ll get the premium. Overall the sushi & food selection for AYCE is plentiful. The quality is great for all you can eat and for the price it’s worth it. You got three rounds & for premium you get also one round of their premium dishes. As compared to “Yes Sushi” back when they had AYCE, it’s just a tad below that quality. I base it off the fried squid legs which were very chewy and a few other items overall the sushi quality was great. The atmosphere is also pretty great and roomy.I took my family and we got a majority of the appetizers and sashimi, but only a handful of rolls. The roll quality was also really good.I’d definitely come back here again to get my “AYCE” sushi fix. Also if you didn’t know “AYCE” stands for “All you can eat” & I just found that out a week ago & thought it was a brand. Either way, a great spot to visit for sushi in Pasadena.“

“My fourth trip to this establishment for lunch and not my last. I go for their lunch specials on rolls and bento boxes. 1/2 off on designated rolls and 30% off on bento boxes. Ordered a three item bento box which also came with rice, salad, miso soup, sushi, and gyozo. All fresh and tasty. Ordered an additional roll at 1/2 off. I did not leave one morsel behind on my plate. And service is fast and attentive. It's a great lunch option.“

“Try an American ramen shop. But the pork bone soup is better than the weird restaurant in Japan.surprised.When I finished drinking the soup, the rough bits of bone marrow remained at the bottom of the bowl. The sushi and other menu items have a proper Japanese flavor. It's also a nice choice to use pine from the back of Fukushima for sake.I was full.He ran to the front of the store and delivered the USB cord that I forgot inside the store because I was drunk.thank you very much!“

“I was a little hesitant to come based on mixed reviews but glad I did. Had a delicious take out meal for under $30. The only thing I didn't like was the meat, the pork slice in my shoyu ramen was too thick and tough for me. Otherwise the broth and egg were wonderful, I tried the spicy tuna with crispy rice appetizer and it did not disappoint. Iced matcha tea complimented the food perfectly with no need for sweetener. The food was a bit American-ized, but had great flavor. Can't wait to try the pork bun next time.“

“I have not been in this location. For quite a while. Last time was like 4years ago I think. The place was crowded then. Had to wait to be seated. Ordered the usual lunch special. Bbq pork and corn ramen and a side of fried tofu. The ramen as usual was delicious. The broth was not too salty, just right. However, the fried tofu was not tasty at all. Not as tasty as the one in colima rd branch.Overall it was still great. The waiter was really nice. Was there Dec 20 at 12:46 pm. So whoever was that tall waiter. He was nice. Definitely recommend everyone to tru the place.“

“I say yes! My only gripe was the 12 to 15 minute wait when half the restaurant was empty. Not sure what was going on there for a Saturday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. maybe the entire staff hadn't yet arrived yet?Anyways, once we were seated, the menu is pretty straightforward. I do like the fact that there are photos of the items. The sushi photos looked great! But I was here on a mission to get ramen.Apr 2024. $16 Kuro Mayo was delicious. 16 ounces size. It's a big bowl. I was expecting a little more of the sliced pork, or at least a thicker cut of it. But the insanely complex and multi-layer and level broth completely left me speechless. The flavor is deep! There's so many things going on. First you get a bone broth kind of vibe, and as you continue to eat it, you start noticing the subtleties like a little fermentation, or funkiness, more earthiness, more of that deep umami. It's a pork broth, unlike anything I've tasted in a long time. Our waiter was great! I do like the fact that even the other waitress and waiter were checking in on us as well. It was a group effort. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place for family, larger small groups, tourists, office workers, and especially people who like take out. There are several tables outside across the street that are first come first serve if you decide to get your stuff to go, and eat nearby. The City of Burbank is pretty good about keeping those areas clean and clear. Just make sure to tidy up after yourself. One thing I don't like about the atmosphere is that it's way too dark inside. I think just boosting the light level by 30% would help a lot.One thing I would like to see is maybe some sushi bundles, or at least sushi roll bundles. The photos of the sushi look great, but I'm afraid the pricing might be a little too rich for my blood. That's why I'm just sticking with the ramen for now. There's so much Sushi competition up and down the block, so just saying.Parking: street only. San Fernando has a 90-minute limit per space. Be careful, some spots or 10 minute only. There are two free structures closer to Orange Grove that are Unlimited for about 22 hours. No parking 3am-5am. So if you have to leave your car there overnight, fair warning that you might get ticketed and towed.“

“Very small interior with little to no interactions with staff members when making an order since you order through a kiosk. The menu was pretty straightforward so I didn't mind. There is only outdoor seating which may not be convenient during colder seasons but it's tolerable. There was also a little robot that brought our order to us which I found to be adorable. However, I ordered the tonkatsu ramen in which was very bland. I had to order a side of spice and it slightly helped. What weirded me out though was this one staff member was staring at my friend and I as if she's never seen people before. Was very soft spoken and sorta ignored us when we asked a question. I would try this place out again as I feel there's some decent stuff on their menu but my first experience overall was just okay.“
