“This place is dangerously good! I saw this when I was looking for lunch and I knew what had to be done. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Service was quick and the food was phenomenal. I got it to go so I have no picture or ambiance vibe for this review but know it was amazing!“
“This place is awesome! The whole menu is great! I had the Japanese curry, fried chicken and rice bowl. It was amazing! The kind of food that makes you want to rush home and eat!You can order online before you arrive, or order at the place…if you have any questions about the menu, they willing to explain anything and even make suggestions. If you ever visit the Pacific Beach area, definitely stop here for food!Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegan….and she found a bowl that she absolutely loves!“
“I had the most amazing kimchi fried rice here today. The portion was super generous for the price of $12, and their chicken was so flavorful. I was able to have this dish for about two rounds of leftovers too! The staff at the front were quite warm and the food was made in about 10-15 minutes. The vibe inside is really cute, too. They have hanging plants all throughout, and they have lots of sunlight inside. Can't wait to try something else next time.“
“I went to this tiny, hidden, establishment on a whim.I love fried chicken and Cluck 'n' Sip had a M-F, $7.99 lunch Special which caught my eye, 2 pieces, 1 side, and a drink. These days that's a great price for a lunch so in I went.Cluck 'no Sip was very clean inside and had about 8 tables. The young lady who took my order was very nice and knew about the different items they had. Which nowadays is quite surprising. In any event I received 2 Large pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh. And when I say Large I mean LARGE. NOT those wingsized pieces that they claim are Large at the more popular, well known, and Much MoreExpen$$$ivve fast food chicken joints.I also got a decent sized side of jambalaya, a piece of maple buttered toast, and a drinkIt Was Delicious! The chicken was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not greasy at all. The jambalaya was spicy without being So spicy that it detracted from the flavor of your chicken, and the toast was really tasty. They also offer about 10 different dipping sauces. I tried the Hillcrest dip which was spicy but Not Too.Cluck 'no Sip also has sandwiches, chix tenders and some really good specials that they offer throughout the week.Do yourself a favor and seek out thisnew, great tasting fried chicken spot. You will Not be disappointedI Will Definitely be going back toCluck 'n' Sip.“
“Was in SD recently on vacation and had the good luck of stumbling across The Crack Shack. The food was amazing and the staff were too. I wish I could rate the sauces (I grabbed all of them) but I couldn’t stop eating my heavenly sammy (Cali Drip!!) and fries to try them! If you’re in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and get some.“
“"It all tasted great!" - Quote from my co-review writer my 13 year old little dude.We are basically on a chicken tour of SD during our spring break stay, so we had to hit up DHC. A quick short walk from Pacific Beach - they have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was super friendly and helpful with spice level and the sauces they offer. The food came out quick, and it was good! I ordered one "slider" but it's def. the size of a regular chicken sandwich! I personally love Dave Sauce. I think it is some of the best sauce around! Great job!!“
“Met Vanessa, the owner, working the counter. From the jump it was a great experience. She was so friendly and helpful. And then my sandwich came out...my good lord...Popeye's has *nothing* on this sandwich. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was crunchy and delicious with a soft bun to go with. If you like spice, may I suggest the Peri Peri sauce...spicy, but not overly so, and the flavor was divine. Unlike anything I have ever tasted. I would give this place 6 stars if they let me. GO TO CHICK'N'CONE NOW!!!“
“So I was driving back home from an appointment and just needed some food on the go. I saw Kluckin Chicken on my recommended food places on Apple Maps and I’ve never eaten here so I figured I’d give it a shot. And I’m glad I did because I was warmly greeted by Gigi, the owner/store manager, and he was not only personable and light hearted, but his energy was just emanating positive vibes. I asked about the menu and he gave me the low down on everything. I went with the chicken strips and honestly? They were each really good pieces of chicken breast, chewy and the breading was different from a conventional fried chicken strip. Something about it is floury and is actually really appealing taste wise. But the manager, Gigi, sent me off with a dap and I’ll definitely be coming back! Appreciate you guys!Parking: The parking is a little difficult but you just have to go in during weird hours when people usually aren’t out at lunch, etc“
“11/4/23 - I did a phone order for a pick up. Ordered almost $90 of food to sample all the chickens and a few sides. I was told to drop by in 25 min. I was down the street and paid and waited just 10 minutes. Lots of food to bring back. We had a taste off in everything. Negative- onion rings were very breaded and not much actual onion inside. Positive- onion rings were very crunchy and not soggy or grease. Everyone liked all the chicken and every person had their own favorites. No duplicates which was odd. Chicken was hot and good. I didn't know the small check bites came with fries. The dumplings were good and the sauce which it came with was adequate. Overall 5 stars. Lovely cash register person again and the same as the other day. Everything was well packed. Lots of leftovers. Check out these photos.“
“Been trying a bunch of the hot chicken places in SD and this still ranks the highest. Favorite combo is #6 which is two dark meat sandwiches and fries , and I'll add Mac and cheese and a soda. You can also ask if you can sub in one white meat sandwich if you want to try both. I would highly suggest getting extra sauce as I use one to two per sandwich.Parking: The location shares its parking with a transit station, so parking here is a toss up.“
“El Pollo is one of my main go to places, and I have been going to this El Pollo Loco since they first opened. (And yes I'm old). Food is constantly good, the price is reasonable especially if U can get Ur hands on some coupons. Restaurant is always clean, and I totally recommend.“
“LOVED IT! Chicken was so juicy and the medium spice was just the perfect amount of spice! I think the coleslaw was a perfect addition to the sandwich. The fries were also delicious and well seasoned! I would ask for extra sauce though, because it's very good (the sandwich has plenty, but it's great with the fries). I would definitely come again :)“
“Wow. Just wow. This place is top notch. Ordered take out through Uber and they were kind enough to put ketchup and lots of napkins in the bag. Honestly, they are very nice! The food is wonderful. The Extra Large Chicken Tenders and absolutely gas. 10/10 recommend.“
“Tenders are very good! Fries are good, nothing special. Service is kiosk ordering. No interaction with anyone. Charge .50 per dipping sauce and .50 for “no sauce”? Only free item is ketchup. Reasonably quick food prep. Hot enough to still be warm after walking back to hotel 10 minutes away. Located inside a mini food court type area. Only real issue is drink prices. $4.00 for a 20oz bottle of Diet Coke is ridiculous. Less expensive out of vending machine at hotel which means it’s over priced! Otherwise will definitely get their tenders again next time in SAN.“
“First time visiting an El Pollo Loco and was very happy. They had:1. Clean bathrooms2. Clean dining area3. Excellent Food4. Vincent helped us while ordering and checked on us later to see if we needed anything. He even asked us how we liked it when we were leaving.“
“It tastes like an old-fashioned whole chicken, but the fat has been lost, so it's just delicious. If you order a chicken meal, salad or corn is added, and churros are delicious for dessert.I recommend it because there are several discount coupons when you sign up for the app.“
“Inside the Liberty Public Market, they're a little tucked away but worth looking for. Great tasting chicken at a pretty good price point. It'll hit the spot when you've got that spicy chicken sandwich hankering (and better than another chain that might not be open when you want it...) The chicken is excellent... perfectly moist and tender, but with a beautiful crispy crunchy fried crust. The spicy levels are pretty accurate, I got the hot which packed a little heat - I'd probably go one step higher next time. The chicken comes in generous portions and it goes so well with in their sandwich. The sauce is a delectable addition, must have! I only wish there were a little more pickles... but that's a me thing. The crinkle cut fries are an excellent companion, good crunch and soft interior, just what you'd want in thicker fries. I recommend dipping them in the sauce too! Staff was quick and friendly, made the whole transaction real smooth. It's the public market so not many places to sit in the immediate vicinity but it's Liberty Station! You'll find a good spot.“
“Not sure if it's just me, but they gave me the wrong order. I could barely hear the clerk, so just grabbed what they gave me and didn't find out what they gave me after I already got home. Not sure if it's just one in a million or if this is common here... I know, you should've checked before you left. But I paid for a service not an extra chore.“
“I very rarely post 5 star reviews & truthfully I could dock them a half star for ambiance. However, the chicken is so good they get the full score! The chicken was crisp, but still juicy. The slaw and pickles added a nice sweet savory crunch complemented by the Devil Garlic sauce (half dozen choices). Turning the brioche bun inside-out to make a waffle bun is genius! The glazed side in keeps it from getting soggy & the pressed outside gives even more texture. The Cajun seasoned fries have flavor without being hot and were perfectly crisp. Probably the best chicken sando of 2024 for me & always a pleasure to support a small family business!“
