“Best place to go for dinner in San Diego. Authentic French cuisine, excellent winery and bar and a great service. We've been here several times now whenever we have visited San Diego and have never been disappointed. Thank you Ludo and team!“
“First visit to Wormwood and it was an excellent culinary experience. It was a bit loud in the dining room and it is not a cheap dinner date but the service was phenomenal and the food and drinks were, for the most part, delectable. Tonight we ordered a farmers loaf of bread to share which came out steaming hot and accompanied by a delicious butter. We also ordered the French Onion dish that made my eyes roll to the back of my head. Let’s suffice to say I could have just ordered a couple of those French Onion apps and been perfectly content without needing a main dish. Nonetheless, our party ordered the Sea Bass, Chicken and the mushroom pasta dishes as mains. Everyone was happy with their meal and the plating was beautiful as you can see in the pictures. Overall it was a great meal - maybe not a regular date night sort of place but worth it for an occasional splurge.“
“Came here for happy hour and sat at the bar.(+) Cocktails were delicious - Kingfisher Spritz, Golden Hour, and Favored Winds.(+) Happy hour salt and pepper fish was very good.(+) House made egg noodles - super good(+) Wagyu smoked beef rib - really good.( ) Service was nice but we got asked how we were doing by like three different people repeatedly and it got a bit tiring.(+) Vibe is cool. Nice bar, ambience is really nice.“
“We were happy to spend happy hour with the staff this Friday. The Tapas were delicious and the beer ice cold. The owners asked us to join them for delicious desserts prepared by their excellent chefs. Altogether a great evening. We are glad they are open again.“
“Best whiskey sour I have ever had, hands down, even better than these specialty cocktail bars. And I didnt even get to the food yet. The crispy duck thighs were out of this world with a delicious, but not overpowering, mustard sauce. And the chocolate cake?! Omg....still thinking about that. Service was excellent, and the interior is just delightful. It is almost like you are in France in someone's home. Fantastic restaurant.“
“Great happy hour with lots of locals. Good vibes. Half-off their 3 French-inspired burgers and an $8 cocktail of the day. Plus half off various wines and other rotating incredible bargains, like $2 oysters. I ate 12 and it made a delightful dinner!No-nonsense service. Sit at the bar or the table near the window. Love it and will be back!“
“The wonderful couple that runs this humble French inspired food spot are very responsible and friendly. They produce some of the highest quality food choices around San Diego. Their food is fresh and healthy yet filled with flavor in every bite. I can’t say enough about how amazing the food is here. At such a reasonable price as well. The service is fast and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone wether you are hungry or not.“
“I've now been here three times and have loved it each time! I can't believe I'd never been here before my friends brought me here about a year ago. This place is delicious! It is such a cute little space that has indoor and outdoor seating. It is charming, and the ladies who run the place are fabulous! The food is just as great as the service and ambiance.I have a very restricted diet and found multiple things on the menu.I recommend Creme de la Crepe!“
“The service was kind and thoughtful. The cafe was an absolute delight. It made me feel like I was back at a local cafe in Europe. Lattes were delicious. My husbands chocolate croissant looked amazing but it was unfortunately hard as a rock. ? one woman was making all lattes and orders so it took some time to receive the craft items. Worth the wait on the beverages!Would go again but maybe skip the croissant ??“
“I LOVEDD this place! The owner is adorable and so kind, his service was incredible and so was his energy. This place is sure to leave a smile on your face the Nutella crepe was delicious as well. And I am definitely coming back to try the salty crepes and more sweet ones“
“We've had dinner and brunch and both were excellent. Next we want to try happy hour. We were able to park at Balboa Park and walk over otherwise street parking is limited. There is a full bar, inside and outside seating. Outside is more casual.“
“We did family style, sharing the beet salad, French onion soup, gnocchi, Brussels sprouts, and boeuf bourguignon. We loved the French onion soup, gnocchi and boeuf. The soup was much herbier than usual but was delicious. The gnocchi were like light, airy clouds- so delicious. And the boeuf was rich and so flavorful and tender. We’ll be back!“
“Really good and healthy menu choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to come again.Parking: Park one block up off main drag. There were plenty of diagonal spaces in front of townhouse apartments and at 1:30 on a Monday, most were available.“
“It’s definitely was a 10 & 5 ⭐️ for sure! Our server Sarah was an absolute delight & very accommodating! The food delish.. the escargot was a first & I thoroughly enjoyed (my brother a baby & missed the experience) more for me! All of the food definitely top notch!“
“We got the prosciutto panini, chocolate & banana crepe, pistachio matcha latte, and London fog tea. Everything was soooo yummy, I'm still thinking about the prosciutto panini to this day The London fog was delicious, but the pistachio matcha latte was lacking the pistachio The crepe made me crave some more crepes. It took a while for our crepe to arrive though cause they took back the number stand thing and didn't know which table the crepe goes to.. BUT!! Would definitely come again to try their other savory breakfast items“
“After extraordinarily rude treatment at their neighbor, Gooseberries Kafe, where I left a separate review, we stumbled upon here without even seeing any Yelp reviews. It was early and empty, so we were immediately seated and had our order taken and the food arrived so quickly! It was really delicious. The steak in the baguette sandwhich was actually tender and perfectly medium according to my husband's wishes. The apple and arugula honey puffed pastry was delicious and a wonderful surprise treat. The French soup was done well! The pomme frites were perfectly Crispy and seasoned (my 12 year old thought they were a tad salty, but I don't know what she's talking about). Lovely and welcoming lunch. Thanks so much!“
“Delicious food, which was well plated. I had a mussel bisque en route. She had a salad with pan seared prosciutto. We shared a scallops dish and filet mignon. Melt in your mouth! The sourdough was warm and sour. The chocolate cake was light and tasty. We will repeat.“
“My morning visit to Mimis Cafe was an absolute delight, thanks to the exceptional service provided by our server, Rosalio. He was attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our breakfast experience was nothing short of amazing. The highlight of our meal was the French onion soup, a surprising but welcome start to the day. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The omelets were fluffy and packed with fresh ingredients, while the potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like them. It's rare to find such a combination of great food and service, but Rosalio and Mimis Cafe managed to deliver. Highly recommended!“
“Everything was good in my opinion. It’s a very beautiful place to have brunch/lunch. I liked the atmosphere of it. The girl who served us was very kind and helpful. I ordered lobster Benedict which tasted and looked more like a crab cake and I was fine with that because I like crab. The steak and eggs came with some unexpected items I guess it was a bonus hehe. The banana and Nutella Crepe was delicious. Overall, it is a really good place.“
“This place is beautiful. It takes my back home (Guadalajara)The food is amazing, authentic, Mexican food. I always get upset when I go to taco shops and call that Mexican food!! This is for real!!!!They have a full top shelf bar, the bar is big and beautiful, the de or is breath taking.Thank you for bringing a little bit of home to San Diego!!Parking: You park on the streetKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu“
