“I only went to this place because it was near where I live and it seemed really empty, but they had a large selection of drink options with milk tea flavors that i had never seen in other boba places like chocolate, hazelnut, or blueberry (i had forgot to take a picture before i drank it but the blueberry milk tea is the picture ?). The interior was nice, it was filled with anime and comic book Funko pops/ figurines, Sanrio plushies, and many brand name T shirts all for purchase. “Chicken katsu was great, big portion, tender chicken, came with a pretty and delicious salad and the curry was also very good. It was totally worth the price. Takoyaki was one of the best I've eaten. The portion is also generous and there were definitely big chunks of Tako inside the balls. Presentation was very pretty too. However my lemon roll was not as good as the other dishes. The spicy tuna was overly spicy and it took away the flavor of the entire dish. The size surprised me positively though, it was much bigger than rolls in other places. The fish was fresh and the proportion with rice was good too. I would definitely come back.“

They have an interesting drinks selection outside of the typical flavors. I've tried many different flavors but my favorites are Roasted Oolong Tea (w/ house cream) , Genmiacha Green Tea (w/ house cream), Ladybug (passion fruit), and Guava Sunset. I usually get all the drinks less sweet (50%), but sometimes the sweetness consistency isn't there so 75% may be a safer option. Initially I also really enjoyed their boba but lately the texture has been off so I haven't been ordering it.. Highly recommend to download their phone app and order pick up. You can get points towards future orders and save on time. It does take awhile for them to make the orders. Overall, I really like Teaspoon and I'm here at least once a week!“

“Almost the best hotpot restaurant in the North LA area. Even much better than those franchise hotpot in the East LA area. We went for lunch and could get a free tea as the lunch special. For offering, we could choose different proteins and the different soup base as well as some more add-ons. It's also free to take the sauce at the sauce bar. We ordered the seafood combo with Tonkotsu base, the beef rib with the kimchi base and the beef slices with the curry base. There are many nice bases to choose from. The beef ribs are so huge for the combo, they are too tender and nice with the hotpot. At every Hotpot, there would be full of vegetables and some other small things for customers to enjoy a rich taste. Also the snacks like fries and popcorn chicken are nice! “There are several boba places in the valley but this is my favorite. Every time we go grocery shopping it has become a tradition at this point. I typically go with the milk tea but sometimes try their other options. I do like it extra sweet so that's sometimes an extra charge. The location is clean and has enough seating while you wait. There are some days it's very busy and others not so much but it only takes a few minutes to get our drinks. There have so many other options of food and desserts but have not tried them just yet!“

There are plenty of options though, so you can customize to your tastes. For example there is condensed milk, Dole whip, etc.There is a selection of syrups that are sweetened with Stevia instead of sugar, if that is a preference.In my opinion, these syrups are all on the sweet side, except the Green Tea. So much so that I ask them to go light on syrup. But that is just my taste, I prefer light sweetness.There are other items here like Boba but I haven't tried them.At this particular location, there is no seating indoors or outdoors. We waited about 15 minutes for a table for three people, which wasn't bad considering how many tables were full and how few employees there were working at this location! We were able to ask one employee for assistance, and he was extremely helpful! He took our order for us and helped us customize the hotpot bowls to our liking! The flavor was delicious, but there was way too much cabbage in the soup! It made it difficult to find the other veggies that had fallen to the bottom of the bowl!
