“This our favorite Chinese restaurant.Their food is great, amongst the best we've had.The service is always very good. The atmosphere is nice, but not spectacular. The only caveat is that their prices are pretty pricey as far Chinese restaurants go.“
“Co worker recommend to come here since I always talk about hole in the wall spots in the town.First and foremost this spot is definitely cleaner and a bit fancier than the hole in the wall spots in Oakland. Second this place is definitely the most affordable in all of Los Gatos where average price for lunch is 18 dollars and higher. But I see why my co workers said this is a hole in the wall spot for Los Gatos. They cook to order so your food come out piping hot. Hot and sour soup is on point. And there was a good amount of bamboo shoot in my soup with mushrooms. They didn’t skimp on one of my favorite type of soup. My chow main wasn’t super oily, fried rice is good too, what I needed was was chilli oil,Sriracha and a tiny bit of sweet and sour sauce to bring it to my nostalgic taste that I grew up eating. Their spring roll was crispy on the outside and firm but soft inside.(missing sweet and sour dipping sauce). Overall it’s a great place and best bang for your buck when you need some affordable food.“
“A nice neighborhood Chinese take out restaurant. They have a delicious teriyaki chicken dish which is fried chicken served with a tangy, sweet teriyaki sauce. If you like salt and pepper, they also have a salt and pepper chicken or shrimp that is great and flavorful. Overall the dishes are spot on and a good value. I always get my order within 15-20 mins of ordering.“
“I've been a regular at Haidilao for quite some time now, and I can always rely on their impeccable service and delicious food. Abel, our server, deserves a special mention for being consistently attentive and on point with his service. Whether it's recommending dishes or ensuring everything is just right, Abel never disappoints. It’s like he reads my mind! The food here is always of consistent quality, making every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving a fantastic dining experience!“
“The four of us went here tonight for dinner. We were 25 minutes late but they seated us anyway. The parking lot looked pretty full but we managed to grab a spot. They had all our favorite Hot pot. Ingredients: shrimp paste, veggies, assorted tofu, a ginormous lamb and beef platter ring, etc. we really like the house special bone broth, but the spicy special House broth was pretty spicy.Service was really fast and efficient.Vibe was pretty young with club music playing in the background. We got a basket of deep fried pork which was apparently recommended but I was so full. I could hardly eat more than a few pieces.Overall great price would come here again.p“
“This place is small with few tables. you may have to wait a bit to be seated. The food is fantastic, hands down. Best potstickers we ever had. The Mu shu pork was even better. The menu is extensive and we need to go back and try other dishes. go for delicious and good quality food not necessarily the atmosphere. Highly recommend this little gem.“
“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“
“Interesting Chinese restaurant. Been there twice. A large selection of dishes - some very tasty, some for everyone. The portions are large (as was noted, many take two dishes for three), the price category is average, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite clean. The only thing that didn't please me was the toilet. I wish it was cleaner there. You can take food to go. I was pleased that they thoughtfully provided you with napkins, cutlery, and even fortune cookies.“
“First time visiting this place after seeing it on yelp. Looking for a great skewer place that was authentic (thinking of China). As we approached the entrance we were greeted by an amazing smell of grilled food. Everyone seemed very excited and the wait was long due to many hungry customers. The staff was very friendly and the food even before eating, I know it is fantastic just from the smell and looks.“
“Good hunan food. It's located in a small shopping center where parking may be limited. I ordered Garlic Lettuce, and Hunan Style Sautéed Pork. Both are very good but a little oily. I especially like the crunchy texture of the Garlic Lettuce! Yummy! Service is laid back. We ordered everything and paid the meal on our phone via a QR code. Very casual quick dining.“
“I love how you can watch the chefs cook your food in the woks in their "open" kitchen. The only downside is I smelled pretty smoky afterwards. I stopped by in a group of 2 on a Saturday night for a small dinner. It wasn't too crowded inside with many free tables, although there were many people who picked up delivery/takeout orders during my meal. We got the mapo tofu ($13.99), stir-fried string beans with pork ($15.99), and a bowl of rice each ($2/ea). The mapo tofu came on this sizzling plate that kept it hot the whole time! The tender pieces of tofu were swimming in a savory sauce that had a numbing kick. The pieces of pork in this dish were pretty small and added some umami flavor to the dish, but the tofu was the star of the show. I am glad we ordered rice to soak up all the tasty sauce! The stir-fried string beans had a lot of peppery flavor and were nicely blistered on the surface. Although the string beans were glistening on the surface they did not feel or taste too greasy. The pork in this dish was saltier than in the mapo tofu and at times was a bit too salty for me. I wouldn't have minded the dish without the pork and might even try ordering it without pork next time. The servers are kind and attentive. The seating area is not the fanciest but this is a great spot for a casual and tasty meal!“
“I like their steamed buns and dumplings very much. I have eaten them more than 10 times. I recommend the cabbage, celery, pork buns and dumplings, and the pickled pepper pork buns. They are all very delicious, especially the dough is not too thick. My favorite steamed bun spot in the Bay Area!“
“The staff is friendly and responds tactfully to customers. Taste is okay. The restaurant is clean, so customers like it. Unless a new Chinese restaurant opens in this area, it will likely be exclusive for a long time. It's a shame that the sweet and sour pork doesn't have chewy meat.“
“Ox 9 is a classic chinese noodle restaurant that serves all types of noodles from soup based, to stir fried, with a variety of thin, thick, round, up to 6 different choices. The servers are pretty attentive and will always refill your water without asking and the food comes out pretty fast. Menu’s are via scanning from a QR code and is easy to order online. But you pay in person instead of doing it via onlinezPlenty of seats but there might be a wait at high times.Parking lot is also kinda small but the lot next door/ residential down the street has availability as a last resort.Would recommend if you need a noodle fix!“
“First time coming to this location, had an amazing experience ?. The food portion are big and taste great!! Our waiter was cindy and she was amazing!! So welcoming and always on point! Will definitely come back to this location and would recommend to everyone!“
“Nice restaurant. The menu has all the typical dishes and more. We just tried a few things on their menu, and everything was good. The wontons in the wor wonton soup was really good. There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“
“My wife Irene Borz and I stopped for a quick lunch on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised by the fast and attentive service, great tasty food, long list of favorite dishes.Vegetable eggroll was hot, golden and crispy, neither soggy nor burnt. The sauce had perfect balance of sweet and sour.Hot and sour soup was delicious! Be ready to order a large bowl to share, they do not serve individual cups. Mongolian beef was not what we were used to but still very tasty. Perfectly cooked General Tso's shrimps. The portions were large, we had to take almost a half of them to go.Suggestions for improvements. Get rid of annoying hip-hop music, play something calm and sophisticated, or opposite - really energetic like "Bond on Bond", or "Rasputin" by Boney M., or even Rolling Stones. A small vase with a flower on the table can significantly improve the entire feeling.“
“Tastes good at a decent price point. Eggplant and fish with pickled vegetables taste fantastic. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. And they would actually honor your request to make food not spicy, unlike a lot of other restaurants.Dietary restrictions: They can make spicy dishes completely not spicy. Which is very important for people with capsaicin sensitivity like me.“
“Amazing, tasteful, mom and pop shop, impeccable service! I'm excited to frequent this place for lunches and dinners. It's reasonably priced and they have different combos $/person which imo is more than enough food.Pictured: pork chow fun + ginger onion beef + pint of minced beef egg white soupThe waitress was attentive and even packed away our leftovers for us. We never ran out of water and she patiently waited for us while we ordered. We WILL be back!(BTW dine-in orders ended at 7:15pm with closing at 8pm but you could still order takeout)Parking: Diagonal parking with entrance going both directions“
“We came to the area wanting to try out Dan Izakaya, but there was a long wait. We walked by this hidden gem and saw the food pictures looked delicious, so we decided to dine-in. There was not a lot of people sitting inside, but there were a lot of people getting take out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, Nanjing salted chicken, mixed fried rice and green onion pancake. It was a lot of carbs and filled us up since we were starving. The nanjing salted chicken was the highlight. There's maybe not a lot of places that do it this well. It is a lukewarm style dish and the flavor of the salt on the tender duck was delicious. The dough from the green onion pancake and XLB had a nice chewy texture, very homestyle-like. I would pass on the fried rice next time. This is a family run restaurant and very cozy vibe. It was inexpensive for the Bay Area and we just spent around $50 for the meal. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. They have talented chefs and it is a good spot to go to or have take out, to enjoy something similar to a home-cooked meal.“
“To be honest it's a bit uncomfortable to navigate if you don't know Chinese (yes I know "Chinese" isnt just one singular spoken language) BUT I'll go through a million more awkward pointing and asking for misheard directions over the noise of dinner rush for the garlic eggplant and the mustard green stir fry. Which was described as bitter but I don't know why because it really isn't. King of edible leaves his majesty the mustard green.“
“The food tastes good. I love the chicken rice. Service is ok, too . First time to order and eat. It's nice you can split chicken and tufu. It's good for the chicken broth is free with your order. So you don't need to order soup just to have a warm liquid for tummy. Happy tummy “
“After a long day of moving into our new apartment. My boyfriend and i were craving chines food. We didn't want no Panda Express we wanted something more authentic. My bf remembered that his coworker mentioned Little Chef and was hyping up their House Chicken so we decided to venture off and try this spot. I could already tell this place was going to be good because the parking lot was full, luckily we found parking right away. Upon walking in we got greeted right away. Everything on the line looked fresh and well stocked up, you can tell they care about providing good quality chines food. I got Chow Mein and Orange Chicken. My boyfriend got Chow Mein, Orange Chicken and House Chicken. We also got chili oil on the side. I love that they use the fat noodles for their Chow Mein, they don't use a lot of cabbage which I liked. The Chow Mein was really good. I cant wait to try their fried rice next. Their Orange chicken was delicious. Way better then Panda Express. I was stubborn and didn't listen to my bf when he told me to get the House Chicken as well... gezzz did I regret that later on once I tried some of his. The House Chicken is a must!! Its Savory ,Sweet and Smokey. If you want add a bit of chili oil to give it a kick. Be careful my Bf said their chili was spicy so little goes a long way. They are generous with their portioning. We both couldn't finish this in one sitting. We ate the left overs for dinner and we still had some left for lunch the next day. This is going to be my Go To Spot going forward when craving Chines Food. Cant wait to try everything else they have to offer.“
“Their beef haoshao is so tasty, but recently they have put way less beef in it. Why? I really wanna give lower review now but their food is good specially their lamp soup. Please add more beef into your haoshou. Their staff is friendly, service is wonderful and lots of parking. Love this “
“Food is reliably very good. Used to come here all the time when we lived in Sunnyvale. Moved away and still come back every time we're in the area. Without fail we always order the eggplant tofu, and the vegetarian Kung Pao "chicken" and vegetable chow mein. All of these are exceptionally tasty. My only complaint is that the bathroom needs deep cleaning. Like seriously get some professional help cleaning the bathroom stall walls, tile floors and grout, and buy some new toilet paper holders in where broken ones are. Also update the sink faucet, clean the sink and get paper towels In addition to that "stupid' wall fan. Nobody wants to touch the door handle. Provide paper towels so we don't have to grab toilet seat covers to open the exit door. And while you're at it, put a waste basket by the door where we can throw whatever we used to open the door with. Thank you.I will still come back as the food is very good, but if the bathroom cleanliness still sucks the next time I go, that will be the last time I come back.“
“At first, I was gonna give this place a 1 star rating but ended up having a delightful overall experience. After picking up meds next door at Walgreens, I was hungry so decided to give it a try. “Indo-Asian” cuisine sounded interesting. I walked in and the place was empty even though it was close to noon. The lights were dimly lit and no one was around so I wasn’t sure if it was even open. I said “hello” to see if anyone from the back would hear me and some guy came out looking at me all confused too. I asked if they were open and if I could sit down but he didn’t understand what I was saying. I sat down anyway. A few minutes later, a scruffy man came out to take my order. He looked like he just woke up, talked really fast, and was a bit grimy looking. I started to regret my decision to eat there. After waiting maybe 25 mins for my food, I’d have to say that it was really flavorful and worth the wait. This pushed them up 2-3 more stars. As I was eating, I watched some teenager walk in to ask for a job. Turns out the grimy waiter was the owner of the place. After a brief conversation, the owner told the kid he could come in the next morning and gave him a job. Witnesses this act of kindness bumped it up another star. After the kid left, the owner came over to sit down and chat with me. We had a lovely conversation about Nepal, how he got into cooking, and he showed me pictures of his beautiful children. This bumped them up another star. This served as a reminder to not be so quick to judge. Kindness goes a long way! Nice little hidden gem on the Eastside, def worth trying!“
“Overall good! 50 per person, hand-shredded cabbage, fish, cold noodles, tribute dishes, vegetarian dishes, white meat, yellow bean paste are good, but the taste of some ingredients is a bit strong.Disadvantages: The twice-cooked pork is so big and a bit salty; the pea tips are delicious but a bit salty“
“This mom-pop shop makes everything to order and the combos are as affordable as Panda Express! We love this place and will definitely frequent it in the coming years :) My husband is Chinese and he said it's one of the best spots for Chinese cuisine in the area.“
“So much deliciousness in our order, from the Garlic String Bean to the Shanghai Pan Fried Soup Dumpling (6) to the Har Gow Shrimp Dumpling (8) to the Pork Dumpling W. Napa Cabbage ALL EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. However, the Salt & Pepper Fish, though very tasty, had an oddly sweet-tasting batter - just weird. But overall, this place serves amazingly good food.“
“I've discovered this place about a year ago and let me tell you having a few bottles of these is mandatory in our fridge. We would come about two times a month to stock up. I would have to say it is quite pricey for soymilk, but for the quality I think it's so worth it! They have three sizes to choose from but we usually always grab the medium and large size. My favorites are the original and rose. Place is tucked away in a plaza, so I feel like that's why people would be driving by and missing this hidden gem. I grew up with Vietnamese soymilk, so when I tried these for the first time, I was surprised with how thick it was ( in a good way ). Everything is made fresh everyday, so once a flavor is out , they won't restock till the next day. Inside the store is small, yet homey, there's usually only one person there but don't worry, there will never be a wait! You can also ask to taste test before committing to a flavor and make sure to keep your bottles bc you can get $1 off for every bottle you bring back!“
“This Chinese restaurant had delicious food and amazing service. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend trying their spicy Szechuan chicken and their homemade dumplings. Overall, a great experience that left me wanting to come back for more.“
“Had not been here for a while but it is still just as good as I remember. Ordered pineapple fried rice, red curry basil fish and crispy beef. All of the dishes were serviced quickly. They were hot and flavorful. The wait staff were friendly and efficient.Vegetarian options: Many of the menu items can be prepared as vegetarian dishes.“
“Food was soo good and comforting. We got the old pot sauerkraut fish soup and coconut lava balls. Both were super yummy and fulfilling and a really good portion size. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the coconut lava balls - crispy on the outside and warm and lightly sweet on the inside side, with tapioca in the filling as well. It was really well balanced so it didn't feel heavy even though it was lightly fried. Will definitely be one of my go to desserts. Service was efficient and friendly. But don't expect anything too attentive as it gets pretty busy and they have a lot of customers to serve. Ambiance was a bustling, family-friendly environment. You can tell that they get a lot of regulars and people come here to eat good food. A bit of a hidden gem. Parking - there is a small parking lot but it can get filled up pretty quickly. I circled around and was lucky enough to catch someone leaving and take their spot, but can be a bit of a struggle.“
“Red Hot Wok offers a fiery dining experience with lightning-fast service. The restaurant buzzes with energy and the food arrives nice and hot.The flavors are enticing enough to warrant repeat visits. Whether you want a dish that is sweet, spicy, savory, vegetarian, or something new, this menu has something for you.The only downside is the slightly small space, but I would say it adds to the atmosphere. Worth the visit if you are in the area!“
“Although there were no tables available when my party arrived around 6:45pm on a Sunday evening, they told us we could start getting our food in the meantime. Pretty cramped store. Not as many ingredients as I would've liked to see. Sauce bar was also very limited. I went with the beef bone broth base (mild spicy) with ingredients like udon, quail eggs, veggies, beef, etc. Beef was pretty good! I'm usually not the biggest mala fan but the mild spicy broth was pretty good. My parents thought the medium spicy beef bone broth was a good spice level, but too salty. They liked my mild spicy one better. Food comes out pretty quickly after you get it weighed and hand the bowl over to them to get it cooked. The food came out piping hot! Overall good option if you want a fun experience of building your own bowl. So if you're craving hot soup and want a fairly quick meal (assuming no wait), then this might be a good spot for you!“
“Hands down one of the best Chinese food joints in the South Bay. The quality of the food and taste never disappoints. Service is amazing, Ryan my man at the front is a gem of a guy. Great recommendation. Prices are very reasonable, the portions are massive. The chefs are amazing. Edna at the helm. I am so thankful to discover this gem. Been there a couple times already and promise to be a regular for many years to come. Keep up the good work guys.“
“Happy Lamb hot pot always hits the spot on a cold day. There is usually a wait (as with most hot pot restaurants) but they now use the Yelp waitlist function, which really helps for large groups. We always go for the split pot with half original soup base and half spicy- the spicy is that "ma la" type of spice that is a bit numbing. I do wish that the peppers in the spicy broth were put in a tea bag of some sort- I always inevitably scoop some into my bowl on accident. For add-ins, the mixed mushroom combo platter and the vegetable combo platter will give you a good variety of items. Also highly recommend the thinly sliced marbled lamb and ribeye meats. Their house made meatballs or fish balls are both delicious!“
“Great Taiwanese dim sum location, very delicious.Beef noodle soup ? - the handmade noodles were bouncy (in a good way) and the meat was tender. I liked the bits of tendon on the end.The XLB (A1 and A13) were great.Fairly large seating area, a variety of table sizes. I prefer the tables since the booths didn't look very comfortable. It was like sitting against the wall at 90 degrees (tho not everyone leans back).“
“Went with my Mom and it was during lunch. The place was half full. It's next to Ranch 99 in the Westfield We got three items. Crispy sweet pork, Shrimp&Egg fried rice and Wonton soup. I will say the fried rice was salty, the flavor was good though. And the Crispy pork was tasty. Totally forgot to take picture of the soup.. If you're hungry with 2 adults you want to order at least 4 dishes. We got 3 and were still not satisfied Fast service there. The workers were also friendly. You order on your phone. Can also pay for bill all thru Qr code. The place looks fairy new Parking lot in front“
“Nice and quiet place. We go here often and live the vegetarian as well as non vegetarian food they make to order. Service is fast and take out is also quick and easy.Vegetarian options: Choices are good, large and healthy. They use less prepared sauces and less oil, something you don’t feel awefully full so one can enjoy the food more.“
“The food/soup is delicious and when it says spicy, better believe that!!I ordered Combo D which is beef bone rice noodles + your choice of appetizer and/or green bean soup or poached veggies. I got the fried pork dumplings and green bean soup as my sides. The green bean soup comes out first because it’s served cold and I was glad it was because when I got done with my soup and drinking the broth, I needed something cold and sweet. The green bean soup is slightly sweet. I had no idea but it is a dessert soup. The beef bone soup comes out with the soup/noodles in the large bowl and meat w/spicy sauce ima separate bowl. I’m not sure if I did it right but I poured the whole bowl of meat and sauce into my noodles and it became like hot lava! I love spicy and this had me sweating and coughing. Loved every bit but please be mindful of your heat tolerance. The pork dumplings are served piping hot and freshly made! Crispy bottoms and soft tops! I would take a bite of the dumpling and then soak it in the soup broth to soak up the flavor and bam, soup dumpling!Definitely give this place a try! Located adjacent to Lion Supermarket. If you blink, you’ll miss it and you don’t wanna miss it!“
“Take it from a Hong Kong kid...these are seriously legit zongzi that taste just like the cantonese ones I grew up with. Definitely above your typical market rates, but I promise these will be true to the OG flavors. It's mostly a food pick-up type of service where you walk up to a shared space and ring a doorbell to have an aunty bring out your stuff.Online ordering was how I did it, but you can also call/text an order over the phone. The ordering process is a bit unusual in that you have to plan these ahead of time (by about 3-days or so depending on time of week) then wait for a confirmation text on the day of. Unfortunately, impromptu cravings must likely be held at bay. Sometimes you can short-notice stuff if they have leftovers, but that's defintely a gamble. With either planning or luck, you'll then walk off with a hefty bag of deliciousness. You can have the option of getting them freshly cooked or frozen (for stocking up).The zongzi are well packaged and tightly wrapped with color-codings to the string to separate the fillings from each other. It's a bit cryptic, but you'll notice those correspond with the pictures on their ordering site. Descriptions of the fillings are true to their amount and pretty well packed with goodness (none of the mostly-rice-zongzi here). After cracking the first one open and taking my first bite, it was like that Ratatouille moment with Anton having flashbacks to his childhood (but like the Chinese version). Filled with delicious aromas and rich succulent glory, with not a dry spot in (culinary) sight. If that hasn't convinced you to at least try these buggers, I'm not sure what will!“
“This restaurant serves amazing Guangzhou style rice noodle rolls (肠粉), which focus more on the rice wrapper rather than the protein inside the roll. Appetizers are also worth trying. For example, the pork liver is fresh and delicious. The environment is a little bit too noisy.“
“If I could give this place six stars, I would! My experience at Noodle Talk was nothing short of exceptional. Their dishes are exceptional – perfectly cooked and bursting with authentic flavors. The menu offers a variety of options, and the rice noodles are a must-try. Cooked to perfection, each strand had the ideal texture, neither too soft nor too chewy. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make dining here a delight. If you're craving delicious Chinese rice noodles, this is the place to be!“
“Pretty prompt service in seating & taking orders. Our food was tasty & flavorful, add the ginger scallion in oil to the bowl of noodles & it elevates the taste. The chilli oil is lethal - almost choke on it going down the wrong way. ?“
“I've been eating here for a couple years and I've always enjoyed their food. I usually get the chicken chow mein but I've been changing it up sometimes. The fried meat dumplings were very good, especially in sweet and sour sauce, along with the egg rolls.“
“my friend and i each got the signature braised beef noodles, and we got the chicken in chili oil + cucumber salad in garlic sauce to share. everything was huge! don't think i could have finished even just my bowl of noodles, we ended up having a bunch of leftovers. the braised beef was impressively tender. both the noodles and chicken were spicier than i expected, deliciously flavored but something to keep in mind for someone who can't handle too much spice.“
“My family and I have been going to this noodle restaurant for almost 5 years. The food has always been great, and the quality has never changed. My kids love the braised beef noodle soup and the fried peanut appetizer. The noodles are very chewy and pleasant to eat, and the soup is always flavorful and not too salty. The food is also priced very reasonably. Although, they only accept cash, but I don't find that too much of an issue because there is a Walgreens close by with an ATM. Overall, highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: The staff are very nice and friendly to kids, and there are many menu options that are not spicy and great for kids.“
“There was a young working guy with glasses that was the waiter, cashier, online order, cook and cleaning. Jack of all trades. Despite being low on employees, it seems, the food was extra delicious. Great quality and friendly service! If you don’t mind the short staff and wait, you’ll be so happy you tried this place.“
“My wife and I are long-time and very happy customers of Taba Taba in Los Gatos. The food is delicious, prices are good, and the service is first-rate. if you’re looking for great Chinese food in downtown Los Gatos, check out Taba Taba. You‘ll be glad you did!“
