“I was a frequent customer, but I don't buy there anymore, because they are very expensive. Also, the chicken pieces are small, which look similar to a pigeon size..Also the portions are smaller, e.g. biscuits, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw. Before the pandemic the chicken pieces were much bigger, including the sides. I would like to add that the Cole slaw has a lot of milk, to make it look like there is much food on the plastic container, where it is served..“
“If you're from out town this place is a must, great price and food quality. Don't underestimate their spicy chicken. The food items I got were the Mild Sando Chicken Sandwhich, and their Fries that comes with crispy chicken bits, pickles, melted cheese and dressing.“
“Klunkin Chicken isn't just about the delicious food - it's also about the warm hospitality. From the moment you walk in, the friendly employees make you feel right at home. Combined with their juicy, flavorful chicken and signature sauces, Klunkin Chicken offers a dining experience that's as memorable as it is delicious.“
“We ordered the hot chicken sandwich & hot tenders with fries and the elder flower lemonade. I like spicy, so i ordered the hot & wow, it was extraordinary. The burn is bold but also very nuanced & complex. To my delight, it was so spicy, I had to space out my consumption of it over a couple of days. The great news is, it still tasted great cold the next day. That pillowy bun held up & that beautiful fresh slaw was still crisp. The tenders were a similar ride, but seemed like it had a different breading, less battery than the sandwich, but worked great, totally tasty. This place has great chicken, hands down impressive. The fries were just okay, but that's not really why you're going to this place. Point of personal preference, I always want cold standard ranch when I'm enjoying hot chicken to cool things off. Both ranch like offerings from Day Bird (daybird sauce & jabanero ranch) contain a fair amount of hot pepper as well, so they don't really bail you out in the clutch. Thankfully, as we had to try a bite in the parking lot before we drove home, the elder flower lemonade was also delicious, and helped counter the instant burn. Over loved it. Will bring friends back to enjoy some more soon.“
“It was a loooong drive back to THE IE with Grandma's chicken riding shotgun. The fam better be glad I love them.Chicken was broasted to perfection! And I love the potato wedges. Crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside.“
“The chicken burger was very tender and juicy. loved the pineapple set it apart from the other chicken burgers. Restaurant is super clean and organized and great service. wings and fries were a bit to crispy/dry to my liking. The Jojo fries were perfect and onion rings. Also got a complimentary drink for being there anniversary. Definitely coming back.“
“Fried Chicken wings to Die for!Atmosphere: Small restaurant hole in the wall very no frills, tv playing korean tv shows counter to order, Clean restroom and maybe 6 tables to sit. Overall pleasant interior.Everything is fried to order, be patient and you will be rewarded. It took 20 minutes but I would wait hours for this its that good. They use a Rice flour which I think is key to their amazing chicken. This also makes the breading naturally gluten free I believe.Food:Soy Sauce Honey Wings - This is the most amazing combination of sauces, sweet and salty perfection. The wings were PERFECTLY fried and insanely addicting. i could drink this sauce daily.Original Wings - The literal crispiest chicken I have ever had. You could hear the crunch from our house 30 minutes away. The flavor and quality is unmatched. The only wings i could easily say needs NO sauce whatsoever, the chicken speaks for itself.. salt, pepper and crunchy heaven.Pickled Radish - So sweet and delicious a great palette cleanser, also a must get!Drinks:Canned Sodas and teasPrice:This is a case where I gladly say YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, the quality of the chicken and the amazing fry they get along with the unbelievable sauces. Around $17.00 for a small order which is 9 wings both flats and drums.Parking:They have a free 2 hour parking lot which we were lucky enough to find a spot at. I could see parking being an issue if you dont get a spot in this lot for sure.Service:The absolute nicest staff. The owners were so gracious and warm and welcoming. This is how a meal out should be, they appreciate that you are there and we had NOTHING but praise for the entire experience. The fact this place isn't on EVERYONE'S MUST EAT list is shocking to me. This is the BEST chicken wings in LA hands down.“
“Trying a new spot is hard, but they made it pretty easy. I got super friendly and helpful service from Wendy when I came in on a Tuesday. She made sure to mention the taco special and saved me a few bucks. Very chill atmosphere and seeks to not get too busy.“
“The best hot chicken in LA frfr BOMB. Good taste, so fresh, and it's obviously made with amazing quality chicken. Every time I come the staff at the front and inside the kitchen are always super nice and always accommodate my request. This place never lets me down.“
“Just had this and woah. Delicious fries, delicious fresh chicken. The sauce. The presentation. I mean what a great eating experience. The lady working is also very nice. I ordered Combo #3 that came with the two strips and fries. hOT. HOT! But not too hot where you can't eat it. Edible and quite tasty.I've had a lot of these Hot Chicken style places and this one ranks up there. Definitely recommended.Go! Go now!“
“Finally went to one of the last two Pioneer Chicken restaurants in Los Angeles. Even though the location is in a busy and bustling area of Boyle Heights...it is well worth it!After our local one closed years and years ago..I can say the flavors are still as perfect as I remember: chicken that's juicy on the inside while wonderfully crispy on the outside, coleslaw that's creamy and delicious, spicy rice that's cooked to perfection, and last but not least - the BEST fluffy biscuits ever made - that can only be topped by smothering them with real butter! The excellent and friendly service make this Pioneer Chicken a gem!So... Make it one of your "go-to" places - you'll be glad you did!“
“I got the inferno chicken sandwich and the shrimp, and let me say I tapped out on the second shrimp, but I finished my chicken sandwich. If you love spicy foods, this is a great place to get them. I dont suggest you try the inferno unless you eat really spicy stuff. My lips are purple, and I was about to cry. That's how spicy it is, but it's good. Really recommend this place. Plus the staff is friendly.“
“Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice.Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.“
“The food here is delicious! But, one of the employees there, little Latino kid who always has earbuds in while customers are coming in, tends to IGNORE you when u come in for food. He, does it deliberately it seems to run customers away so he doesn't have to work. It's, seriously pitiful because if it weren't for him & his "turtle service" this place would be five stars. They, should get rid of him & choose a person who REALLY cares for the customers & wants to work. Regardless, of this particular employee this place has delicious food guys. It's, just sometimes u will need to YELL to get them to come to the front counter to order! Outside, of that employee I mentioned the food is delicious for the third time! ❤️❤️❤️?#He'sBADforBusinessVegetarian options: Menu is small but they have options for anyone who doesn't eat meatParking: Sometimes, the parking can be super congested when they're busy. Because there are other small restaurants inside the lot as well, not to mention a nailspa.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“Catered a lunch for 40 folks today in the office. I was completely swamped with work and only had 24 hrs to find catering for the event. They were totally fine with my order of 10 chickens for the next day. The meal was chicken, french fries and salad. The family meal is $30x10= $300+ tax=$330. People were very surprised, happy, and satisfied. They could stop talking about how delicious the chicken was. Then my Latino colleagues gush over the aji sauce omg they were using it like salad dressing on their chicken. Out of the 2 containers we only had 1/2 container left which my Latina colleague took home to share with her mom. Been coming here for over 10 years and should have written a review much earlier but this catering put them in "awesome" status. So glad I work in the city.“
“Perfect every time! The chicken is always consistently delicious and the workers are very nice. The restaurant has a lot of seating and is quite clean. The menu has a good variety of flavors and chicken to choose from so you're bound to find something that you like. They also play KPOP music videos which is a giant plus. The price is slightly higher than the average chicken place, in my opinion. However, you're definitely paying for the quality and taste. We always stop by when we're in the area and so should you!“
“Get ready to get your hands dirty on this deliciousness. I ordered the smallest plate they chicken with two sides, tortillas, and salsa.Let me say it was delicioso! It's sort of a Juan Pollo style family owned biz that does it well. Although the macaroni salad was delicious it is prepared offsite. The line out the door also said a lot!“
“Wow, what can I say. First time coming to this spot, ordered at the kiosk and our order was done in 10 minutes. We ordered the #2 Monty's Favorite & the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. Looking at the price I was a bit skeptical BUT after we received our order I can 100% say it was worth with every penny. Portion sizes were great, the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and please try the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, absolutely DELICIOUS. Haven't had a chicken sandwich that good in forever.10/10, will definitely be coming again soon!“
“I did not really eat Korean food during my 2 weeks in Japan, so I was craving Korean food. I've known of the bb.q Chicken chain for a while now, and I saw they had a branch in Alhambra. I cannot eat a ton of fried chicken on my own, but I saw that this restaurant had other dishes as well. I decided to come here and give bb.q Chicken a try. They had a free soda with Yelp check in. My wife got a diet coke, and I ordered water. The restaurant gives complimentary pickled radishes. The staff are very nice and friendly. My wife ordered the tteokbokki, whereas I got the kimchi fried rice. I was torn between the fried rice and the bulgogi poutine, but I also knew I wanted rice, so I got the kimchi fried rice. My wife and I shared our dishes. The tteokbokki was good, sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were a nice texture. The kimchi fried rice was also solid, but a bit spicy for me.Given how close it is to me, I will definitely come back in the future to try their fried chicken.“
“Gareth was the best representative of Dave’s Hot Chicken, he answered all questions and did it with a smile. First time eating here and it was amazing, hot, fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere with great music! We will be back several times ?“
“I'm glad this tasty, family-run restaurant is in my Los Feliz neighborhood. Happy that they've expanded their menu because the Persian Armenian food is delicious. Never had a bad meal, and never had anything but friendly service. Solid, un-pretentious, and relaxed. I dig it.“
“Great value, $24 for 24 pieces of boneless wings (large pieces). Tastes extremely good as well. The chicken was also crispy despite being drenched in the sweet and spicy sauce. The waiters are nice and friendly. As for the atmosphere average. Nothing too special about it, but nothing bad about it either.“
“It was so difficult to choose from the seemingly many amazing sandwiches they have, but I opted to try one of their most popular ones for my first time - the Egg N Bird. The chicken wasn't as crunchy as I would've liked, but it was juicy and went very well with the fried egg, bacon, and sauce. This was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. You get a free regular fries for checking in and they were pretty good as well! I would definitely want to come back to try the other sandwiches.“
“After losing the 50/50 twice during the HSR collab, I drove here in the hopes that I could guarantee the ticket I wanted. I'm so glad I did.The people here are really nice and the building is clean with a nice atmosphere. There's even a little parking out back. The food, of course, is excellent (Signature sauce gang)“
“Dined in at 2pm on a Friday and there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. I was greeted by the worker at the register. She asked if I was dining in or take out and I told her "dine in." I was seated and given the menu, plates, utensils, and even pickled radish right away. I took some time to study the menu and both workers checked in to see if I wanted any recommendations. One of the guys was very knowledgeable about the wing sauces and the menu but I didn't get his name. Eventually I gave them my order and I waited about 5 minutes and my food came out one at a time. Cheesling Fries (9/10) - The cheese powder on the fries were amazing! It wasn't too overpowering or too cheesy. The fries were hot and crispy. They even drizzle it in the secret sauce. It was very well balanced together. Rose Ddeok-Bokki (8/10) - The first few bites tasted like it needed more seasoning and flavor. The more I ate it, the better it got. It was not spicy for me and it was a great combination of creamy with a small but of tang. The rice cakes were soft and chewy. It was also very delicious overall.Secret Sauce Wings (8.5/10) - The chicken wings were very fresh. The batter was still crispy and the sauce was sweet, tangy, and sticky. It reminded me of my favorite childhood Chinese dish, Peking Pork Chop or sweet and sour pork chop. It did get soggy once the wings sat too long. Soy Garlic Wings (7.5/10) - The soy flavor overpowered the garlic in these wings but overall a really solid choice. The wings were also hot and crispy with a sweet and salty sauce. Overall, the food is 8/10. The service was 10/10. They checked in with me at least every 10-15 minutes. They gave me napkins without asking for it. I had a very pleasant experience!“
“Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles is a place you must visit to cross off your bucket list at least once to see what the hype is ALl about. If you're visiting for the first time, I would recommend trying "Scoe's" 1/4 chicken or the "Herb's" 1/2 chicken entrée. It all really depends on how hungry you are. They are essentially the same, except the Scoe's is smaller, while the Herb's has more chicken. They both come with 2 waffles. You have the choice of white meat or dark meat chicken.Pictured is the Scoe's special, mac and cheese, and Biscuits and gravy.I recommend eating the chicken with Louisiana hot sauce, dipping your chicken in syrup, and eating the chicken together with the waffle. Their waffles are amazing. They are made with Roscoe's own private mix.You can also try their chicken with some of Roscoe's own personal hot sauce bottles. They make different ones than the go-to Louisiana hot sauce. You can buy some of their hot sauce bottles and a T-shirt to take home at their locations. I've been to two different locations, the Hollywood and South Central Manchester locations.Neither of them disappoint.I used to frequent Roscoe's regularly about 10 years back when i was in town for shows or visiting the old Amoeba location. This place hasn't changed much. Still bomb!Wait times may vary.Parking is either super easy or somewhat difficult to find. Depending on the time you are showing up, it can get very busy. There are paid parking meeters on Gower Street. Depending on the day and time, the meeters are free. You should be able to find parking around the area. A short walk to a delicious meal never hurts. Also, the "obama special" was pretty popular.I added 3 pictures taken with my film camera. Enjoy the HollyHood location!Parking: Street parking is free at certain times and days. Please read signs to acknowledge if you're able to park for free“
“The chicken is fantastically brined with a great brioche bun. I like how the food comes out in nice porcelain plates and serving dishes as well, it's an elegant touch. The piece of chicken is truly a sight to behold. It doesn't fit in your mouth. It won't fit unless you unhinge your jaw. I'm not saying you should but it was so impressive it was difficult to eat. If you're a fried chicken aficionado like myself you're going to want to come check out honeybird!“
“The cashier was very friendly when I went in to order, got a #2 with a mild & hot option with cheese. So far I've been to a couple of Dave's Hot Chicken and this one just like the rest is consistent with their food. Everything was delicious and the inside tables were clean & sanitized. Always love their funky artwork inside, always a bonus.Parking: About 20 parking spots“
“Dino's has always been a staple when it came to a unique recipe of char-grilled chicken with some Greek heritage thrown in. The sauce is immaculate and separates Dino's from any other chicken option you'll come by. Downside is prices have gone up since prior years.Be sure to get the fries as well. Last time for some reason mine was drenched in much more sauce then the others so feel free to let the staff know your level. If you're not leaving with yellow fingers you're doing it wrong!“
“Flavor. It’s one of those places you go for an easy delicious meal. No bathroom, no amenities; only incredibly authentic Nashville chicken. Humble family owned business. Their daughter has been there with them since she was 2. They came from Armenia to America to follow the dream. Seems they have accomplished it. With another store, actually brick and mortar restaurant and a third undisclosed location coming to LA plus both restaurants have 5 stars. Come on. The best.Kid-friendliness: Kids love chicken tenders.“
“Dinah's is the quintessential classic fried chicken spot! Located on the east side of Los Angles—this place is a hidden gem tucked amidst the swank Galleria shopping district in the foothill enclave of Glendale, California just beneath the Vergudo Mountains. The ambiance is a perfect blend of folksy and traditional with carved wooden furniture and ornamental decór laid about in a fashion not dissimilar to what one might expect to see in an old guard Dixieland dining room of a grand home in the southern United States. The seats, tables, and flatware were all exceptionally clean and the restroom areas were also noticeably well-kept. Service was top-notch with polite and pleasant staff readily available at every turn. Food was served within minutes of placing our orders and came out piping hot with generous portions and no room for regrets. We ordered the Chicken Dinners, which come with three pieces of perfectly crispy golden fried chicken along with two sides and a dinner roll. My order included mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, and an extra chicken drumstick for $1 as part of the Friday Special. The potatoes were rich and smooth. The mac was creamy, oozing with cheese, and it had a perfect bite to the pasta. And the dinner rolls were as to be expected. I could not have been happier, as this place satisfied my every craving for southern comfort food without all of the off-putting qualities of a standard, fast-food chicken spot. If you're in the mood for a good fried chicken dinner the way it should be done, at a reasonable price, Dinah's is the way to go. Five Stars across the board.“
“The food and service was excellent. The ONLY thing is the WATER! I don’t know why but there an odd taste to it. I thought it was only me, but I’ve brought several friends here and they all have the same comment about the water. Other than that I can’t complain.“
“The fried chicken is great. I think it's Korean style double fried. It's really crispy even after drizzling the honey sauce on it. I can also vouch for the Cajun corn. Oh yeah, I recently tried the chicken nuggets or popcorn chicken or whatever they were called. They taste good and were a great value for the price.“
“I LOVE it here, they have such a great menu, great team as well along with great creative ideas with new flavors. I love what they offer and the food hits every time and I love the sauces too because they are so creative with it. The quality of the produce they use is on point and you don't feel cheated for your money when you eat here, plus it's a great price too. You GOT to try the DRAGONFIRE sauce too, it's so perfect.“
“(Translated by Google) The sheep barbecue ? highly recommended.I haven't tried the chicken yet but I will soon. The attention is very good, a very quiet place to eat in the place. The atmosphere you do, whether with family or friendsOnly one recommendation, they could improve a little more with the sauces.(Original)La barbacoa de borrego ? muy recomendable .Todavía no he probado los pollos pero pronto lo haré .La atención muy bien un lugar muy tranquilo para comer en el lugar.El ambiente lo haces tu ya sea familiar o con amigosSolo una recomendación podrían mejorar un poco más con las salsas.“
“I purchased slices of cheesecake, butter cream cake, sweet potato pie and a tea cake. The cake was for me and the other items I gave to family members. The cake was sooo moist and delicious so I'm sure the other dessert items were as well. I also purchased a small box of Chicken sausage links ,I haven't tried them yet but will update the review when I doWheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair friendly, for a small parking lot they have about 2 or 3 handicap ♿️ spaces.“
“Their fried chicken is some of the best I've ever had. Food is always hot, fresh and seasoned which is why so many people eat here. My only issue is the location. There's always drama/entertainment, from that dirty lady in the wheelchair who's ALWAYS begging for money, or some random guy causing a scene while having an argument with himself. Also, always be aware of your surroundings due to this restaurant being in a gang infested neighborhood. Although there's a lot of good people in the neighborhood, you still need to keep your head on a swivel and don't ever let your guard down around here.“
“Tastes like Mommas cooking, lots of flavor & love when it comes to making food over here. Shrimp fried rice is excellent, Chicken is not boingy if that nice and crispy. Delicious meals, great customer service, and happy people, How can you not love them ? Definitely Recommend this Restaurant.“
“I was craving some rotisserie chicken with beans and rice. This place just looked like it would hit and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that I did not bring cash with me so I couldn't leave a tip. I'll just have to double my tip next time I stop by. Give this place a try. The parking is a bit tough, but it's worth it. Oh, and get the papas horneadas.“
“This place is really good. Service was great. I got the chicken bowl this time. Rice has good flavor, the chicken was cooked perfectly soft, tender and full of flavor veggies are fresh and not over cooked. Their pomegranate sauce and garlic sauce go perfectly well with the bowl.“
“The owner was amazing , great atmosphere love the music he was playing , The cook looks happy made the food very good there fries are delicious ? every bite the sandwich is Soo exquisite ?? I highly recommend this place and this has been approved by me Deysi Henriquez ..“
“The best Mediterranean/persian/armenian food in dtla. I had the half chicken plate and it was HUGE and very filling. The prices here are unbelievable low and the food quality is amazing. Very clean on the inside too and friendly workersWould definitely come here just keep in mind limited parking nearby“
“Ahhhhh I don't usually eat cockroaches of the sea but this place OH MY GOODNESS!! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SHRIMP ? please please go here and get at least a 10-piece it's only about 7 bucks!! The way they season it oh my Lord.. it is a little weight but I put a timer because I do go there often and it's never been over about 12 min...I tried that chicken nuggets yesterday I did not like them..Stay with the shrimp“
“Besides the friendly service and great food I was privileged to see an elderly couple walk in and take all the recyclables from the trash can and were greeted with an awesome hello from the lady up front. I'm glad she allowed them to take the aluminum cans and not kick them out like other places.“
“I had the 1/2 chicken plate (#2) for lunch today, 04/25/2023, about 12:50p. No one else was in line which worried me at first. The cashier was speaking to the two males in the kitchen, but quickly addressed me and asked what I wanted. She clarified #1 or #2 as they both are 1/2 chicken plates, one with rice and beans, one w/o. I wanted the later. $8.81 total, not bad. I watched as the younger male pulled out a spit, pulled off a whole chicken and cut it in half. He put that half into a to go container, the other half want onto a try and back into the rotisserie oven. The cashier finished fixing my order and I was out. Less than 5 minutes total. Plus 1 star. The chicken was still piping hot when I opened the container, some 5 minutes after. It was juicy, and pulled from bones easily. The taste was good, like most rotisserie chicken, with hints of salt, paprika, and pepper. I don't believe they marinated it with any flavors, but likely brined cu it was juicy. The #2 came with tortillas and salsa, that's it and that is they way I like it. Tortillas were good and hot, likely NOT homemade, but soft and provide the perfect ride for the chicken and salsa. I'd go back as this place was clean, fresh (for rotisserie) and had fast service. In the waist land that is Huntington Park/Walnut Park this is a good spot.“
“I was pleasantly, just surprised by the quality of the chicken. However, the waffles were a little dry and lacking the bread was also nothing special, but the restaurant was almost empty and the chicken was fresh, which leaves me to believe that this restaurant deserves a little more love from the LA community, especially during Black Lives Matter.“
“We love this place. Call ahead and save yourself some time. When you get there be sure to get in line to pay for your phone order and you'll be set! I get #26 fish and shrimp (sole) my SO gets #23 fish shrimp and scallops (red snapper). I always get an extra side of hush puppies bCZ two is just not enough!“
“I absolutely love their chicken, it's my favorite dish to order here. Rosa is so nice and gives excellent customer service. She checks on us and brings whatever we need with a smile. My Dad said his Camarones a lá Diablá was delicious but my roasted chicken was super delicious. Their homemade tortillas are fantastic. The salsa & sauces are the best homemade salsas I've had at a restaurant. I feel like I'm at my Abuela's house for dinner. I am a very picky Mexican eater and drive from the Marina to come here. The dining room has very comfortable booths and they are always clean when we come. Will be back very soon.“
“I've heard so much about Dave's Hot Chicken I had to finally try it out. It was a pretty cool ambiance inside, I wish I took more pictures, and the service wasn't too bad either. I like that everyone can pick their own spice level, that's nice for groups with different spice tolerances. However, it was a little pricey, especially for the cauliflower vegan option, which has a cheaper main ingredient and was smaller in size, so that was weird. See the breakdown below:4/5 - Dave's Hot Chicken Slider: tasted really good, but getting the medium was not that spicy, I would recommend Hot or above spice level if you're looking for a kick of flavor.3/5 - Dave's Not Chicken Slider: was more expensive and smaller than the other slider, and didn't have a ton of spice or flavor even in the Hot version. Not terrible, but not amazing either.Food: 3.75/5Service: 3/5Ambiance: 4/5Value: 2.5/5Overall: 3.5/5“
“First time coming here and despite a small mistake on my order, Aldo who attended me as cashier went out of his way to make it right!. There was a young lady working the back kitchen area who also went above and beyond to make sure my party had a great experience overall. I enjoyed the food, taste was on point, ordered a variety of items such as wings, egg n bird sandwich, grilled chicken avocado bowl, Mac salad, and banana dessert. Definitely coming back, staff was professional, and friendly.“
