“First time visiting this Guatemalan restaurant and bakery. Most of the food is prepared and waiting at their deli. A lot of variety and place is well staffed. There is also a bakery with fresh bread including full loaves. It also has shelves with popular Guatemalan grocery products. Lastly it has indoor seating for those wanting to eat there. This place has it all.“

I think that lady should be in the kitchen so she can get bitter on her own and Don't spoil the tasty pupusas, sir, owner of the restaurant, think that you will be losing customers because everything is excellent from there on out.“

“This was my first Michelin star restaurant that I have experienced that I heard about from Tik Tok. It lived up to the hype. I recommend going early or after lunch as it packed during lunch time. The line is out the door. The food is delicious and I would recommend to any seafood lover. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food in each dish. If you are the the downtown area it definitely a must try. It right next door to the DMV so it not a lot of parking so you have to drive around to a spot open up if you go during lunch time. It is loud in there as it is a food hall with about 6 other restaurants in the same building. It is still a good experience and worth giving a try.“

Other than being small gourmet playhouse looking portions it was good. It was more once in a lifetime kinda meal not beefy hearty get full go to work filling kinda meal. “This is probably the highest-rated restaurant I've ever seen on Google Maps, and after having breakfast here it is easy to see why. The atmosphere is so casual and welcoming, the service is fantastic and warm, and the food is so, so good! You HAVE to eat here at least once, this is the kind of place you see in movies, the "spot" the protagonist knows. An absolute gem!Dietary restrictions: I am currently on the border of pre-diabetes, so I can't eat rice or tortillas. This restaurant does offer these things if you like (and I SO wanted them) but the majority of food available was packed with protein and fat, and there was a healthy salad to put on the side. Genuinely one of the best selections I could hope for.“

“Wanted to try a new breakfast spot this morning and this place came up on Yelp. I ordered a pork belly breakfast burrito, a pour over, and a fudge chocolate brownie. Pork Belly Burrito: Welcome to flavor town! The eggs are light, cheesy and well seasoned. The eggs take center stage but they also help bring all other ingredients to the spotlight. The pork belly was soft and its fat rendered well into the rest of the burrito. The pork belly didn't make the burrito greasy, which I loved. The tortilla was also soft and fresh tasting--I think they might be making their own tortillas in house. It came with a green salsa that was punchy but not too spicy. The only con in my opinion is the size of the burrito. I only count that as a con because I'm a big dude, with a big appetite. However, I would definitely buy this burrito again since all of the ingredients are of quality and very delicious. It's a 4/5 stars for me. Pour over: The pour over they had today is from Peru. The barrista did a really good job of controlling the water temp so I was able to taste all of the notes in the coffee. I noticed the flavor of berries with a chocolate after taste. Flavor is not overly bold with a nice creamy body. Shout out the barrista! 5/5 stars I love me some good coffee. Fudge Chocolate Brownie: The brownie was good but I wouldn't get it again. It's a heavier brownie--I like a more cakey type brownie. This brownie was dense, hence the "fudge" in its name. It leans towards a dark chocolate flavor profile with a bit of sweetness to counter the bitterness. You have to be a big chocolate lover to have this. However, they did have other pastries so they have choices for you. 2/5 stars for me. They have a cool little brick and mortar shop on Cesar Chavez that has a couple of tables for you to enjoy your food or grab and go. Overall I give this place a 4/5 stars and would definitely recommend trying them out. (Plus you get to support a small business!)“

“I just finished a review of San Laurel and wanted to do A shout out to this gem of a Bar. I will only be reviewing the bar at this point because I have not eaten here yet, as I said I just reviewed San Laurel because that's where we had just come from haven eaten most of their menu, we had fully intended on leaving. We stood at the elevator glancing to our left we noticed the bar at Agua Viva and decided we should take a look at it. Before we got there we were intercepted by a manager who couldn't have been more wonderful and helpful showing us around and telling us about the spot then offering perhaps a seat at the bar for which we gladly accepted. The bartenders again were perfect and accommodating. The drinks were all wonderful trying more then we should have but it was our anniversary and we did Uber there so believe me we paid for it the next day but we ended meeting most of the staff and talked to everyone, each person nicer then the next. Its a pleasure to have gone to both of these places on our special night, both places treated us like kings and I thank everybody we met and listened to us ramble on for hours. Thank you for making our day perfect I can't recommend San Laurel and Agua Viva enough!“

I was surprised that I never noticed it. I wasn't a big fan of their tostadas. They seemed too stale. Apparently, they make them there but I can't say for sure. Either way... I finally tried it the other day and was astounded at the menu. I thought Homestate was the only game in town for brisket tacos! Now we've got another excellent option. The brisket quesadilla is the banger--it's set up like two soft tacos lined with cheese and filled with brisket. The salads are great, as is the salsa selection. I'm not a huge salsa user...but the mango habanero salsa is amazing. Sure it's a bit pricier than other places, but the food quality is through the roof. The portions are also really good. I was able to request the freshly made corn tortillas with cilantro, which I recommend with the queso fundido and chorizo. Their tacos de Birria are legit!! I recommend you try those, above all else. My husband asked for a replacement for the fish and they were able to accommodate. The servers were quite helpful with my mom as she uses a walker. They are also bilingual, which is a plus.Pro tip: they have platanos fritos con crema and frijol (fried plantains with cream and beans). You just need to ask. I'm sorry I didn't take a pic. I will next time.“

“I've had the carne asada quesadilla and asada tacos which are amazing. This food truck provides your food with plenty of sauces and sides to compliment their flavorful meals. I frequent them often as they are conveniently located close to my home. I haven't tried their tortas or burritos but will be trying them soon :p“
