Our server Taylor, who shares the same name as our daughter was really sweet, patient, and kind. He made sure we were taken care of and we didn’t have to ask for anything. “We LOVED every aspect of our lunch at Destino’s. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful and the owner was so accommodating to both our dog and toddler on their patio. The patio and inside of the restaurant were both decorated with such warm charm and coziness. The owner even took extra time to reccomend local activities for us to do with our toddler. I would highly recommend this resturant for anyone looking for a yummy family outing.”

“I had a lemon drop martini, I'm guessing I was served by different bartender than the 1st time I've been here. I love my lemon drop to be pretty sour. Too much sugar on the rim for me. Maybe half of the rim can be coated with sugar so it's not too sweet or not so caked on like the 2nd time I drank here.”

“Drove down from Sacramento to pick up a Mission Style Curio that we purchased over the phone after finding the cabinet online. Once we were loaded and ready to go, she offered up a great place to eat about 5 minutes away called H&W Family Drive-In where her sister works as a cook. We took her up on the offer because we were starving and hadn't had lunch. I enjoyed one of the best burgers that I have ever had. It was not on their menu but was recommended by Lulu at Miranda's Furniture. The Yeyi Burger!! Jalapeños, Bacon, Avocado and more! It was amazing!! Awesome customer service! Friendly employees. Fast service! Excellent Burgers!! Great experience from H&W Family Drive-In and Miranda's Furniture. Well worth the trip! Thank you so much.”

“We tried Jenny Nicole's Old School House Bakery today for lunch. I had a smash burgers that was outstanding. I got the Portuguese beans as my side and they came with "fire crackers" that were spicy and a great addition to the beans. My daughter got the linguica sandwiches that was one of the specials and they made an off-menu plain hot dog for the 7 year-old. We can't wait to come back and try their breakfast.”

“I've been here a few times now and am happy to review. The reason for my 4 star rating: drastic difference in food quality if you're ordering for pick up or sitting down. Sitting down, the food and service are 10/10 highly recommend. For pick up, I'm not sure why things are different but the food drops to about a 6/10. I've done pickup twice and both times it was the same issue where most items were dry or over cooked. I will say the tandoori chicken didn't have that problem and was an 11/10 when I picked up.

So, I recommend this place but primarily for sit down service.”

The el pastor and carne asada tacos had so much overflow of meat, but the flavor was not as crispy as I'd like, but overall taste was a 4 out of 5. The roll taco was nice and crispy and full of veggies which I love. They have chicken or potato option for tbe rolled tacos.”

“This has been my go to place! I’ve tried many places in Merced that serve pho and although many are good, their pho broth will always be my favorite! Also this is the best place for pad Thai hands down:) I introduced my coworkers to this spot and it’s our go to place for lunch outings. We always get a plate of orange chicken, egg rolls, chicken fried rice and chow mein. Always hits the spot! Great service and great food.”

“Inside the Chevron on hwy 140 at 99. Good place to stop and refuel between Sacramento and Yosemite. Sandwiches were decent, with the large actually being a large. Good value for road food.

Parking: Not many places to park except at the gas pumps.”

“I ran in earlier and ordered a chai latte with extra chai. They gave me a dirty chai which means it had coffee in it so when I went back she made me a new one for free and I kept the other one.

The guys next to the smog shop on 16th are better with timing and they do pineapple and slices of meat for the al pastor.”

“Stopped into this Five Guys just trying to grab a bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fries… ended up in a whole episode of Law & Order. I’m waiting on my order when this dude storms in, shirt halfway ripped, yelling “WHERE IS HE?!” like he’s in a Jason Bourne movie.

Nobody says anything, so he starts pacing around and knocks over the soda machine. The cook calmly flips a patty, looks up, and says, “You got about five seconds to leave before this becomes your last supper.”

The crazy dude rushes the counter, and I swear on everything, the cashier jumps OVER the register, hits him with a 3-piece combo and a milkshake slam. Dude folds like a lawn chair. Manager comes out, claps once, and says, “Back to your stations — food’s still hot!”

I got my order with an extra order of fries and a nod from the squad like I’d just survived initiation.”

He checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed and more. 3rd we had a large group with several kids and they never once made us feel like a bother. Update.... Many yrs later. 😂 This is still our go to sushi place. Our favorites are the titanic roll, chirashi sushi bowl and today I had the beef teriyaki bento box instead of the chicken teriyaki bento and it was amazing. I will forever be getting the beef... Medium rare. So tender and yummy. Our only complaint is we hate they don't have soda on tap anymore. Ever since covid you get a can of soda and a glass of ice. We mainly go for lunch as I love the bento boxes with the variety it comes with. You do get bigger portions at dinner, but not the variety of items on one plate.”
