“I'm surprised to see less-than-five-star reviews for Amberjack. I have ordered food-for-delivery from Amberjack an embarrassing number of times and it's always so incredibly good. I've eaten here in-person as well and enjoyed that experience. I was raised on an island with a fisherman for a father, so I am a little spoiled when it comes to fish, and I have to say that I'm always so pleased by the quality and freshness of Amberjack's sashimi (and sushi, in general), particularly the hamachi. I understand people stating that it is a little spendy, which it is, but the portions are large and they don't skimp on the amount of fish in/on any rolls or sashimi, so you really do get what you pay for. I'm sure I will be ordering again soon.“
“Sushirrito is a menu choice at Local Kitchens in Mill Valley. The Sushirrito brand is the original sushi burrito. Local Kitchens offers sushi burritos, bowls, and sides. But it's menu is limited to popular items, and doesn't include everything an actual Sushirrito restaurant would offer. I don't usually order Sushirrito at Local Kitchens, because the burrito is a lot of food. But I was in the area last week, so I decided to order the Sumo Crunch and Shrimp Tempura. This was a pickup order, as I always pick up my own food at a Local Kitchens restaurant. I order using the Local Kitchens App, and it will tell me when my order is ready. When I get my food, it's fresh from the kitchen. The Sumo Crunch burrito was really good. It was made with a thin layer of rice, so It was mainly the filling of Shrimp Tempura, Imitation Crab, Cucumbers, Red Tempura Flakes, and Sriracha Aioli. It had a good fresh flavor, and was easy to eat. (Tip: Enjoy your sushi burrito while it's fresh). The Shrimp Tempura is one of my favorite appetizers to order at a Local Kitchens. Since I get my food fresh from the kitchen, my Shrimp Tempura is usually super good and crispy. As expected, they were lightly crisp on the outside, and the shrimp were fresh and moist on the inside. Very tasty with the sriracha aioli dip. If you want to enjoy your food fresh, I suggest you go pick it up yourself.Utensils, napkins, and sauces are available at the counter. Recently tried the new HaRa roll from the changing list of featured rolls. I used to always get the Ox and Tiger from that list when it was offered, but I think I actually prefer the HaRa now. And if you’re not feeling like having rolls, highly recommend the uni, hotate, maguro, ikura (I always add shizo), or basically anything else haha. I can’t get enough of this place… I’m a little crazy for it.“

Enough spice to feel for a few minutes afterwards while my sushi was being prepared.First up was a trio of Salmon belly, Hamachi belly, and Toro. Each one was more delicated and delicious than the previous. Next were two great pieces of Ama Ebi with perfectly fried heads. The Sexy Roll followed - a mixture of Hamachi and avacado topped with more Hamachi, Green tobiko and jalapeno.My desert round was Mackerel, Scallop, and the Buddhilicous Roll.The service was exceptional and the value for what I paid was outstanding.My only negative was self-inflicted and that's because I only found this spot on my last free evening in town.I'll be back for sure...“

“Came here on a Tuesday night with my coworkers without a reservation. Great for large groups and it was walking distance from the grand Hyatt on Stockton. Very walkable and didn't feel dangerous at night. We had 12 people total. Food was good. Overall less than 800 for 12 people which is not bad. They had no issues with separating the alcohol bill for each person.“
“A small casual sushi restaurant on geary. They have a variety of rolls and appetizers. They dont serve bento boxes, but do serve some rice bowls. Service was quick and we noticed a lot of people ordering to go. We ordered edamame, chicken karage, CA roll, SF roll, caterpillar roll, cherry blossom roll, and rainbow roll. Our food came out quickly. The edamame came out hot and topped with salt. The chicken karage was a decent portion for 2 with fairly big pieces and came with spicy mayo sauce. The rolls were fresh and had good amount of fish. The cherry blossom roll was our favorite. We kept our expectations low but we were thoroughly impressed by the food, especially with affordable prices. Highly recommend this place and will be coming again soon.“
“Arrived before our showing to the ballet, the staff was extremely thoughtful with our time, asking for our curtain time in order to bring out the Omakase without delay. We had a delightful series of courses but unfortunately had to run to our show before dessert. Shout-out to Ben who went above and beyond in hosting us after closing, insisting we come back so that we could enjoy our desserts and sake on the house. It really was a warm and amicable end to our night.“

“I came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. She had Nirigi Omakase and I had Chef's Omakase. It's only 10 bucks difference. Nirigi Omakase included uni. Chef included strawberry mochi but no uni. The sashimi of fish was fresh and soft. It could melt in your mouth. Toro is my fav. I also ordered wagyu and unagi. Of course, the wagyu beef was tasty, which I prefer to eat it last, so the taste could last longer in your mouth. I love unagi, so it was a must to order. This place was the third restaurant where I could truly have fresh eel. It was so good and I wish I had ordered one more. Very high quality of sashimi. Excellent services. Everything was good, except one point. The suggested tips included taxes. Basically you pay tips for taxes if you go with their suggestion tips. That needs to be changed. We had a selection of artisan pickles; salt, vinegar and miso cured to compare, followed by a collar of fish with a sweet, crusty marinade! My favourite was a sushi roll steamed at the table in a foil pocket! Flavour explosion! My friends loved the raw offerings, (not my personal thing) served with fascinating garnishes like saffron stamens, and truffle shavings! The cocktails were strong, tasty, and well balanced to complement the sushi. I nearly got kicked off my chair by the Asian pear cocktail, with a beautiful marigold garnish! We sat there for about an hour and a half, trying different things! Highly recommend their food!“

I came by with a coworker for dinner this past Friday.We arrived at the restaurant a little after 6pm, and were a little surprised that the restaurant was fully empty. It was a rainy day, so that may have contributed.We got seated and ordered some miso soup, edamame, hot sake, the serious nigiri combination platter, and a black & white roll. The miso was alright, a tiny bit light on taste. The edamame was well boiled, with a generous sprinkling of salt on top. The nigiri platter contained 12 pieces, and the fish all tasted fresh. The roll was also well made, with Yellowtail and tempura shrimp.Overall, this was a nice little restaurant if you want a low key and quiet dinner, with good quality fish and well made rolls.“

Our waiter was exceptionally polite and patient, answering numerous questions we had about the menu. After hiking the Wolf Ridge Trail, we were quite hungry and looking for something healthy and nourishing. We ended up ordering the tempura udon and the chicken nabe. Initially unfamiliar with nabe, our waiter kindly explained that it was a type of soup. While both dishes contained broth, chicken, and various vegetables, they differed significantly in flavor. The udon featured a sweeter broth, whereas the nabe was more savory. Personally, I found the nabe more delicious, but both dishes were satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling full and content.“
