“We had Omakase with sake pairing. The dishes were great from the beginning to the end. For me, I enjoyed all of the dishes. Chef Scott was professional, attentive, and friendly. He explained dish in detail clearly. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was perfect! Great experience overall! I can't wait to come back next season to see what chef Scott come up with.“

“We went and got a variety of specialty rolls and one of the specials (seared yellow tail with jalapeño). We also got the spicy edamame as a start and it was fantastic! I liked the variety and the rolls were great. My one complaint was that the spicy (fiery roll) wasn't very spicy! I could have used more spice in the spicier rolls but I added wasabi and it was delicious.“

“Located where Hungry Cat used to be. Wonderful food and outstanding service. Went for the Summer Fresh Roll (No Rice Roll) and it did not disappoint. And the baked mussels were to die for. “Excellent Japanese food option while in SB. Reasonably priced, food came out quick, wait staff was attentive, and the outdoor seating area was comfortable and nice. We ordered a 2 item bento and about 5 rolls. The only weird thing was it's the first time in my 40+ years where I had to cut my own steak and chicken at a Japanese restaurant. In any part of the world. Japan, US, etc. Not a deal breaker, because it still tasted good.“

“I lived in SB my whole life up until 4 years ago and have been going to edomasa for near 30 years now. The food is incredible!! Santa Barbara offers many other sushi restaurants but none come close to comparing to edomasa. They are mostly too expensive, not fresh, extremely packed with tourists, etc. Edomasa is the real deal when it comes to a locals spot with even the famous that live there frequenting (they skip the fancy frills for quality too �)... Edomasa will always be my FAVORITE restaurant in SB! �“

“This restaurant is not typical Japanese restaurant. There is no sushi menus however, you can enjoy authentic Japanese original dishes that are not on the menu of other restaurants. The owner-chef is Japanese and has over 40 years of experience. The foods taste is reliable!“

“Who doesn't love some great Hibachi? Literally a dinner and a show! Although I don't come here often it is always a nice treat as they serve some amazing friend rice. The service is great for the chaos that Hibachi can be and the wait is always worthwhile in my opinion.“
