“Came here on a whim while running errands in the area. The portions here are HUGE. I ordered three specialty rolls - tempura Cali, hungry man, and the spider roll. The server said “It’s a lot of food, are you sure?” And I was like “Pffft. Challenge accepted. I haven’t eaten today.”DUDE. She was not kidding! As soon as I saw the first roll come out I knew I was in trouble. I think I still made a sizable dent (about half of each roll), but as you can see, the to go box is still packed full anyway.The service was fast and my server was very sweet. If you’re looking for large portions at a reasonable price point, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back, but maybe I’ll bring backup lolP. S. Pace yourself. “I was extremely sad that the sushi place in the montebello mall closed down. I came here and saw a lot of the same workers! The sushi was 11/10, ambience was 11/10 and Service was 11/10! I will totally be back and this just became my new all time favorite sushi spot compared to kaiba! Watch out Monterey park, this one is going to be in the newspapers“
“This sushi restaurant is a good place to come eat lunch or dinner.The spicy tuna roll combo with chicken katsu was delicious. The soup as well. The lemonade was good. But the glass water by itself was not so great to be honest.3 lemonade $7.50.Dinner combo was $16.95The food was was very good. I appreciate the service here.“

“If I could eat here everyday I would. These are my favorite types of sushi restaurants to go to. Simple but far from ordinary. No frills, no heavily sauced California rolls, or flashy items just great quality sushi made as traditional as possible. Everything (that I tried) was fresh.I’m so glad that I found this little gem on this side of town. I’m coming back ASAP to try the rest of the restaurant.If you’re looking for a place to try real sushi, I would definitely put this on your list.My favorites from my visit were the Live Sweet Shrimp (fried head), Uni, Toro, Salmon Belly, Yellowtail, Scallop handroll, and the salmon collar.
