“I highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and great service.”
“A nice place for 3-4 friends to hang out! Food is good! Especially purple taro w/ cheese, soooo good! They have a variety choice of wine. Love it! Will definitely come back”
“Great Dim Sum spot for classic dim sum food and not too long on wait for a table.”

“Best sushi in LA! Everything melted in your mouth! The fish is fresh, the price is affordable, and the service is great! It looks like a hole in the wall - but wow :)) We eat there once a week and love it! Drove all the way from Studio City to have dinner there - 2 hours each way in traffic - so that's obviously what it says :)) Haha Just love it!”
“It was delicious 😋 you create your own spicy soup. I’m very satisfied! Prices are good too”
“This is one of our go-to places for authentic Cantonese food. We also like our special occasions celebrated here because you can secure a private banquet room for free!! I was here for my aunts 97th bday. My cousins ordered more traditional foods for the elders table. Mainly seafood dishes. The more Americanized of us got chowmein with chicken and sweet n sour chicken. The other table got noodles with seafood and cold boiled chicken, traditional for a bday celebration. . The highlight was the crispy whole piglet. Big hit for everyone. Also the shrimp with candied walnuts. And the French style filet mignon with mushrooms, always a yummy choice here. I enjoyed the sweet and sour soup. The owner was on hand to make sure all's well. The service was swift and efficient. Another great private room dining experience. It's not a fancy place but who cares ...the food is goooood. Highly recommend per usual. Dedicated parking lot is free. Credit cards accepted.”

“Love this place the cutest little homey restaurant everything made with the purest love you can taste it when you eat it and that’s what matters ! The coconut jelly was amazing at the end I didn’t even think I had room but I did for that . Thank you for the exceptional service and the owner is just an amazing lovely soul you’ll love it here . Everything taste so exotic all the different flavors hit your tastebuds and your just in another country eating this food”
“Authentic taiwanese cuisine.
We took beef noodle soups of course, and fried chicken and squid nuggets.
Everything taste very good.
The lemon teas we ordered were HUGE.
Service is fast and friendly.
We had a table right away, no need to wait. Finding a parking place may be difficult, parking is small and sharef with the supermarket next door.”

“Pssing through. Hilton Hotel in Montebello said tgey had the best pizza around. Very true. Loved the New York.”
“The food was very good and the service was awesome. The location is on a hilltop right next to the 10 freeway, so there is a lot of noise on the patio. The interior is elegant. One thing i really liked was the seating space. You are not crowded into the table next to you. The prices are a little high but reasonable for eating out at a nice restaurant. The food portions are above average, but I was able to finish everything. Overall, it's a nice place, I will definitely be back, I want to try dinner. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation.”

“Went for breakfast and loved the food- we tried many dishes and they were all delicious. We ate inside and didn’t mind paying cash. I was nervous because of recent one star reviews-but we only have positive things to say about this place and will definitely be back soon.”
“Best churros. I order on uber eats too often. Nutella and condensed milk as dipping sauce for the stick churros - cinnamon and sugar only. Classic. So delicious. I would venture out to try the Oreos and filling ones but I am just so obsessed with the OG churros. They give a very good portion too !”

“Parking was good. Food is good for reasonable cost. Service is good. No sign on the back door so you can't tell if it's the correct place. I had yellow chicken curry. It was good tasting with good, but not perfectly cooked chicken. The curry is very watery. I used 2/3 of it, and it made my rice an unpleasant soggy consistency. Spice level is pretty spot on.”
“First time trying Mr. Baguette. I noticed on the menu that they have authentic Vietnamese and American Vietnamese Bánh mì. For me, I always select authentic cuisine special #1. The baguette was perfectly baked and the right amount of ingredients. I thought the vegetables were perfectly pickled. I will definitely return to try another sandwich.”
“Parking is horrible. You have to quickly turn in the parking lot off Garfield, but you have to go slow, or you will miss it the entrance. Order window is right on Garfield Blvd. On really busy days, they run out of food fast. Everything I have ordered has been delish. Just don't l like that they close by 5:30pm and you have to have cash. Food, price, and amount are 👍👍😁
Wheelchair accessibility: yes”
“I saw this spot had great reviews and I was craving wings. A chicken wing or boneless wing restaurant.
I had their bim bim bap and it was delicious. I opted for the boneless soy garlic and lemon pepper. They were both cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. So good I didn’t need much sauce. Overall a solid lunch.
I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.”
“A cozy restaurant offering a variety of cuisines. Everything was prepared with care, and the food was delicious and had a homemade feel. The waitress was exceptionally kind, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place!"”

“Hk style food, hk style lack of service. But we keep coming back. We love ordering from the tea menu 2pm to 5pm daily. Has western and Asian food. The pan fried ramen, the pork with egg are both must order. I do find their dim sum a little lacking. Parking in plaza is plenty or street parking.”
“Spicy beef noodle soup broth was really good!! Our kinda new favorite Chinese Restaurant (Hunan cuisine) in the MPK area. All the dishes were decent and super flavorful but not overly in any wrong way. Quality flavor.
Cauliflower dish, and the Intestine tofu dish are spicy! For those who like spicy (medium spicy lovers), it's good. But for mild to medium spicy eaters, it was barely doable but with tears and sinus changes. They said to ask them for light mild spicy (translate as small spicy) because maybe the app doesn't allow that choice? Note to self to order small flame/mild spicy next time for my sake.
Spicy beef noodle soup wasn't too spicy. Super great broth! Loved it!! Didn't feel too salty. It was packed with flavor. I would recommend this for anyone craving noodle soup. If you take this to go and leave it overnight, remember to separate the noodles and soup, or else the noodles will soak up all the soup...and leave you soupless haha Its a rare occasion we order beef night soup or carb items but was craving a Chinese noodle soup dish.
Pumpkin Pie dessert was like an air puff with thin flat mochi in the middle. They said no dairy is used but not not too certain if I trust that too much.
Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!!”
“S [must try / 一定要吃到]
- not a restaurant anymore!!!! you come here to buy shabu shabu meat (best in town)
- you can request fatty or lean for your beef
- I appreciate how they will put ice for you if you live far away
- speak Mandarin and English
- insanely good quality meat with huge tray (highly recommend the 3 lb as its good for party of 4+)
- meat prices changed a lot throughout the year (last time I went it was 30$ for 3 LB beef in 2024 Oct)
TLDR: BUY HOT POT BEEF SLICES HERE. HIGH CP VALUE. VERY WORTH. ORDER 3 LB AND THANK ME LATER.”
“This place is cheap and perfect for people who love hot pot toppings and dipping sauces. The broth was $14, and you get to choose two different types. The dipping sauce is $1.90 (self-service), and it’s 40 cents per stick for the toppings. They also offer colored trays with various options, including meat and veggies, at different prices.
To be honest, the meat isn’t the best quality, but personally, I’m more into dipping my toppings in the sauce. Their broth, though, was insanely good!
Here are my bills, if I didn't get so much tray that I won't finished it at all, the price would be so cheap!!!”
“I would go to Mandarin Deli down on Atlantic about 3 min away for better quality food. We got the lamb with mushrooms, lamb was cut very thin and lots of connective tissue so still hard to chew. The sweet and sour pork was cut thin as well and very tough to chew. The XLBs are considerably smaller than Mandarin Deli, but they were juicy as they’re supposed to be. Spicy dumplings were acceptable but too little filling compared to dough. The only thing that was good was the beef wraps. Plenty of beef inside but again, Mandarin Deli is much better value and quality. Mama Lu is just too commercialized and I will NEVER order from here again. I just give 5 stars cause support Asian businesses.”
“The best skewers ever. We drove seven or eight hours from Northern California to eat. The ingredients are fresh and taste great. There is a man who looks like the boss and is very nice. We were served quickly knowing we were hungry. Thank you for the delicious food. See you next month.”
“I remember coming here a few times before CV with friends and family. The dim sum was really good. However, today I ordered to go and they didn't even offer any utensils or sauces. It looks like they remodeled the place. The ambiance is great, very fancy and clean with a huge chandelier. Dim sum was cold. Egg tarts don't taste that great compared to other bakeries in SGV.”
“Visited here 2 weeks ago.. the vibe is awesome. The location is tiny but a great use of space and great energy. Shout out to Cindy she is a rockstar! I think Monday nights with Mindy are the best kept secret at this place. Thanks for bringing joy and care into the world through painting (and Boba)... See you soon!”
“I stopped here for lunch while passing through the area. Pork soup was very good. I ordered to go and appreciated the care put into packaging my food so it did not spill or burn me on the ride home. The lady who took my order was very courteous and took time to make sure she understood what I wanted. I would recommend this place, would come back if it weren't so far away. Hopefully some day!”
“Good Korean food but a little pricier than other Korean restaurants. We shared three plates. We started with the mushroom tofu mild, this dish was my favorite. My daughter loved the second dish- the bibimbap, it was also really good. The third dish was the spicy pork. I thought all three dishes were delicious.
The service was ok, the staff could have been a little more attentive.
I would come for the convenience in location and the delicious food.”
“This place is an amazing dining experience. A great alternative to Korean bbq or hot pot, you order different skewers and let them cook in front of you, then enjoy. All the different meats and vegetables were delicious and offered lots of variety so there is something for everyone. The grill automatically twirls the kebobs giving an even cook, and the sauces and spices are very flavorful. Very helpful staff and clean interior.”

“I had a great experience at [Skewer Place Name]! The variety of skewers was impressive, and the flavors were bold and delicious. The meat was tender, and the seasoning was spot on. The veggie skewers were also fresh and cooked perfectly.
The ambiance was cozy and lively, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Service was friendly and attentive, though it is a bit pricy for skewers.”
“Surprisingly great food, my picky girlfriend and myself enjoyed the crispy mushrooms with other items. NOTE
There is free parking in the underground garage. Two entrance points.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Great spot for HK breakfast! The beef congee was perfection. Noodle soup and toast were great too. Classic menu and family local vibe. Everything came out fast. The server didn’t really speak English (and I don’t really speak Chinese) but it was totally fine just made sure to point at specifically what I wanted. Milk tea was not too sweet!!”
“Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card!
I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.
Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.
parking is available on the street!
limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!”
“I was visiting my mother and decided to get something to eat and liked the reviews. They are the nicest people and amazing customer service. And don't get me started on the food wow. The portions are generous and the prices are wonderfully affordable. Please go and support them you won't be disappointed.”
“Went out with friends to R & B, we enjoyed a drinking bobas n playing board games, Uno & Jenga from the front store, ask first n keep all pieces inside. Mostly, love their Taro Stormy, the cream cheese was so savory with my choice of crystal boba. We got other drinks, rich Oreo Choco Stormy n fresh Mango Stormy Boba with egg pudding, n Strawberry Black tea, glad the sweetness level trickle our tastebuds happier.”
“Update: closed 143pm 3/26/25
Choice of thin or thick noodles, u gotta tell them. Interior is decent. Tables and seats are cool. Parking n the back.
U gotta pay and giv order at register first then they give u a number and then just sit anywhere. Be sure to tip then too or leave 11% gratuity or both. Or bring cash to leave on table before u leave after u eat. Theyre not servers but they do bring your food out for u.
Seating is limited. If its busy u gotta wait until seats r available! Give the employee a chance to clean before you get in the way & sit down.
I didnt like the seasoning on the edamame bc of the salt size and its lemon citrus-y yuzu sauce. Not my prefernce, wouldnt get it again or jus order without the sauce.
The spicy topping is nice and spicy, im getting 2 or 3 next time. I can taste the quality in this food! Its good. The music they were playing was cool. They were working really hard.
The vegan broth was really thick like a cashew alfredo which usually isnt my preference for ramen but it was good. Check website for menu. Help urself to water & such. Def would go back. Cashless & over a dozen locations. I added seaweed egg spicy sauce garlic. They also need to kno if u want a whole egg or half.”
“Japanese food for take-out only. It is best to call to order ahead and pick up by the arranged time.Need to be patient as it's run by literally one-person for everything. Food tastes great, and prices are reasonable. I'm happy to support this local business and can totally appreciate the owner's grind and perseverance.Check out the new expanded menu, including new lunch deals ?”
“We had lunch on Chinese New Year day. The live crab was delicious and fresh. Other dishes were tasty as well. We came with friends for dinner for different occasions. Some of the dinner selections were unique. If you order any dishes that were in photos on the wall, you can't go wrong. Those signature dishes were an excellent choice.”
“I picked up 5 different skewers, cucumber salad and white rice and all was super delicious. I can see where ordering over phone will be a problem if you don’t speak Chinese. Food is bomb though and plan to go back soon.”
“This is truly a mom and pop local restaurant. It's been here for years that we never tried. To our surprise, the food was good. The handmade noodles & beef were delicious and good texture. The lamb skewers were seasoned well. The meat was cooked perfectly and good quality, not the odds and ends cut. The dumpling skin was a bit too thick/doughy to my taste. We will come back again for sure.”

“Wow! Meat pies from heaven in a mini- mall off N Garfield Avenue. Everything here is great. Not a sit down place as such, since it's really small and they only have a few tables, but I'm sure you could eat in if you wanted to (they have a short menu) - but it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - more of a small hole in the wall family run takeout, with Grandpa making dumplings by hand at a table when I was there. There seems to be very little English spoken here. Very delicious and authentic - I'll be back!”

“Love this place!!! Their pastries are actually not too sweet and just right. I love getting their strawberry cream cake and the salted cream milk tea/black tea/green tea. All the other pastries are also very delicious. Highly recommend a visit!!!
Parking: No need to wait for parking

“Capital Seafood is one of my favorite Dim Sum restaurants in LA. They offer all the traditional Dim Sum dishes, and everything is incredibly fresh, served from old-school push carts. The service is top-notch. Whether you’re a Dim Sum lover or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended. Don't forget to try the delicious desserts.

“The cook is friendly and the breakfasts are good and generous. The staff member wearing glasses is very kind and pleasant, and radiates positive energy. This place is a pleasant, unexpected oasis where you can take a break. I'd be happy to return if I were in the area again.”
“The decor is kind of dated, but don't let that fool you. The sashimi was very fresh and tasty, and grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. No wonder this restaurant has been here for decades. Highly recommended!”
“I have only ordered here via uber eats and can only speak on 2 items I have ordered 3 seperate times.
The spam & egg rice also the bulgogi fries.
The two items are always fresh, and deiciously made.
I suspect the butter with the spam/egg/rice really elevated the simple dish with a splash or dried seaweed.
The bulgogi fries are cheesy and really delicious as well with mushrooms, green pepers, and onions on seasoned fries.”

“So I absolutely love barbecue pork buns and I'm pretty indifferent about pineapple buns but I just had my first pineapple barbecue pork bun today and I have a new favorite thing. The egg tarts here are amazing. I can't come here that often because they close by 5:00 p.m. :-( all the good places close so early.”
“Endroit hyper typique ! Bonne musique, cocktails d’un excellent niveau et à un prix tout à fait honnête, tous les classiques sont dispo et le barman tient la corde niveau cordes vocales !! Excellente carte de dîner ! Nous n’avons pas testé le grill … seul regret de la soirée. Il faut qu’on y retourne, absolument”
“My family and I frequent here quite often and every single time, the drinks were on point! Thai tea, Thai-chata, strawberry vortex, pineapple escape, milky way taro, polar pomegranate are just a few that I've tried and would recommend but everything including food is so good. Their customer service is also great! Always a pleasant experience for us. We've "cheated" and have gone to other boba places when traveling but it's not the same. Twisteas definitely has our loyalty!”
“Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! This area has so many hidden gems! From the outside the places does not look appealing, but when you walk in, the place is spacious and clean. So many choices for baked goods at reasonable prices. They had a special of buyer 8 and get 1 free. The pineapple with dried pork pastry was lovely! Highly recommend trying it. The taro pastry was okay, but not as flavorful as anticipated.”
“Authentic Chaozhou noodles: rice noodles and egg noodles. Two main different ingredients and completely different textures.
1. Egg noodle:
chewy, tastes like a beautiful independent woman’s workday morning: refreshing and high energy.
2. Thick rice noodle:
Rich rice flavor that southerners grow up with. A flavor that running in their blood since they were born. Tastes like home and mommy.
The meat they put on my wonton noodle soup omg it’s sooooo good so flavorful so perfectly tender and chewy. I don’t know what it is maybe cha Shao?
3. Service & Atmosphere:
- You not here for birthday party so.
- If you speaking local dialect you will be treated like homie is really not because they are racism to anyone else is just because aunties work here only speak dialect and some English. So English should be fine flenz. (another way telling you how niche and authentic this place is)
Chaozhou food culture:
Chaozhou noodles focus on light, natural flavors. Dishes like Chaozhou vermicelli and egg noodle have a unique texture and are usually paired with fresh ingredients. The broth is often a mild bone or seafood-based soup.
I eat half of it with some white pepper, to just taste the broth the slight sweet flavor (without any of those diabetic sugar in those commonly seen Americanized Asian soup. my Asian taste buds are really not made for American’s sweet-everything-food industry okay? I hate it. Let’s be honest if one day an Asian immigrants like me become the president of United States the first law I’ll sign is put those shameless capitalist who kept adding sugar in everything in to jail.
So many things literally shouldn’t be sweet by adding sugar!!!”
“I just came across this place by chance and got interested in ‘rice noodles’ and never had any dish from Guilin before. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gems of cuisine! The owners are super-friendly and especially generous condiment booth much more so than any restaurants I’d seen. Plus the price is super economical. Because of such pleasant personalities and exceptional services of the owner couple, it makes the ambiance so unique and very cozy to dine in. Not to mention the taste of the dish is great! I love the chewy round rice noodles that seems to be hand-made. It reminds me of simple noodles made laboriously I encountered in a remote village in Laos where they called it ‘Khao Pun’ made fro slightly fermented rice that was pounded, steam and pounded again so the texture is soft but chewy. It came in delicious meat sauce. I got pork belly and beef ribs. I was surprised that beef ribs were debone making it very pleasant to eat. This place is a rare find and I’ll be back to try other dishes again”
“I ordered the mix and match of 6 and I got 2 originals, 1 crème brûlée, 1 chocolate, 1 honey and butter, and 1 churro cream puff. They all had a subtle flavor but the ones that stood out to me were the churro and the crème brûlée. I must say if you put the same filling in all of the puffs they will taste the same since like I said they all have a subtle flavor. Nonetheless it’s a nice pastry for the hot weather since the custard is cold ( I thought it was going to be warm which I would have preferred). I also had the milk tea w no sugar and mango smoothie. I liked the smoothie better. Anyway, the workers are really nice, good service :) The atmosphere as in like vibes is lacking and it’s because of the decor. Maybe better lighting and tables/seats that aren’t bulky/awkward would improve the atmosphere.”
“Visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle for the first time this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located in the plaza on the corner of Atlantic and Garvey, with plenty of parking.
The menu is simple and straight forward. You start by choosing the desired soup base (bone broth, tomato, hot & sour, spicy) and then the protein offered under your desired soup base. If you wish to order additional toppings; there is a list of add-on you can pick from. The restaurant gives you the option to order using the QR code taped on the table or with the staff member. Soon after placing the order, they bring out the toppings to the dish, which consists of your desired meat, lettuce, generous portion of rice noodles, tofu, ham, green onion, seaweed, wood ear mushroom, corn, egg, etc. Lastly the soup base is served and you add the add all the toppings to your soup.
I ordered the tomato soup with sliced brisket; love the strong tomato flavor in the broth. If you are a tomato lover, this is the soup base to order.
Will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases.”

“This is our favorite sushi spot! The servers are super friendly and the atmosphere is great! It’s a little hidden so we almost passed by it but we’re glad we stopped by. I just wish the servers had a little more help with some more employees because this place can get a little slow because of the server to table ratio. Otherwise, please stop by here for great food and friendly faces!”

Here are my bills, if I didn't get so much tray that I won't finished it at all, the price would be so cheap!!!”

“My friend invited me to a dinner here and everything was so good! Crystal Palace took over the Chef Tony location. They not only have dimsum all day along with various dishes, but they also added carpaccio to their appetizer menu! It was delicious! So were the shishito peppers! The French style diced beef was so tender and flavorful. Hubby really liked the vermicelli with beef and pickles, pickles were so good! So was the crispy layer! I really liked their spicy wontons and of course salted egg shrimp. The dessert was delish! Loved golden lava bun and bunnies! Will definitely be back! I’m eyeing the oxtail and whole pumpkin, lobster salad and Peking duck 2 way which you need to order a day ahead. Their house special chicken is also an order ahead item that’s supposed to be really good too. Service was excellent and the ambiance is set for fine dining with so private rooms as well.”

“Asked my girlfriend out here and the experience was amazing, when we entered no one was at the front desk so instead of waiting we took the opportunity to take photos here and honestly it was worth the wait so then we got seated, we were recommended some drinks i got the one in a melon, and ordered fried oysters, birria empenadas, flat iron steak, and the seafood pasta, all of it was 10/10 experience was 9/10, and our waitress gave us a celebratory cake so we really appreciate it.”

“Young chow fried rice is disappointing. It can only be labeled as young chow style FR or shrimp and char siu FR. It is missing lots of key ingredients like sea cucumbers, mushrooms, green peas, and scallops. However, what they lacked in FR has been made up in reverse osmosis ice water. No tab water served here.”
“It was a great experience. They had so many food options and a good number of things that just triggered your nostalgia. Makes me not want any of the frozen stuff anymore, it tastes so much better when it's fresh. Especially the chicken pot pie, a fresh one is significantly better fresh than the frozen stuff.”
