“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“We went to Mountain Mike's on the recommendation of one of my coworkers, and I'm very happy we did. The staff were very friendly and were very patient as we considered all of our options. We decided to split a large Everest with no mushrooms, and it was fantastic. The employee also offered to substitute the mushrooms for another topping, instead of just removing them, which I've never had a pizza place do. We went on a Tuesday, and there was a deal on a large specialty pizza that brought our total with 2 soft drinks to just $30. The dining room was clean, and the booths were spacious. The standout aspect of this place is how fresh everything tasted. I'm not sure how ordering delivery would affect the experience, but eating it fresh was delicious. There aren't any Mountain Mike's where we are visiting from, but whenever we visit, it'll definitely be one of our stops for an easy lunch or dinner.“

“Me and my husband were visiting Monterey for a few days and decided to come here Sunday. There was live jazz music, which I loved. We got a Margherita pizza and it was SO GOOD! 10/10! We’re always trying margherita pizza’s everywhere we go. And this was one of the best we’ve had. The dough, sauce, cheese, and just the right amount of crisp.“

Today I had the duck sandwich with coleslaw. Excellent.

Personally met the owner. Lovely family owned place. Great customer service as well. Customer for life.

“We were visiting Carmel by the sea and couldn’t find a restaurant in the area with less than an hour wait. We found CPK and it did not disappoint! We had 3 pizzas (BBQ, Margherita & pepperoni) and the Chicken Piccata. Everything tasted great but my favorite was the BBQ pizza. The brisket & sweet BBQ was very tasty! We also ordered the churro swirl dessert and it was very tasty! Our server did take a little while to greet us & take our drink order and we had to ask for refills a couple of times but overall, she was friendly and helpful“
