“Loved it! Great atmosphere with friendly Host/owner. Menudo was really good, you have the option if you want hominy and even "pata". It came with all the fixing and hit the spot. My wife had banana pancakes and she loved them. We will recommend and return on our next trip.“

“First time for me and I was very pleased with the service and food. I arrived on a cold rainy winter night and in need of warm soup to relieve my cold symptoms. The server suggested the fish soup. I was a bit reluctant because fish isn't my first choice at a Mexican restaurant; my preference is chile relleno. Their fish soup is superb, filled with shrimp, chunks of fish, carrots, onions, zucchini, and cubes of potatoes. It hit the spot! Fresh lime slices, onions, dried chilis, and cilantro are served on a side plate. A choice of either corn or flour tortillas are offered. The salsa is spicy and the horchata is really sweet (not watered down). It's not surprising that this local restaurant in Morro Bay has an excellent fish dish. I'll definitely come back for the chile rellenos, fajitas, and other specialties.“

“We came here for lunch. I had the Cubano sandwich was super filling. Hubby had the home made Menudo with corn tortillas. Chunks of bones in the broth, very savory, one of the best Menudo soups we've had in the area. Outdoor and indoor seating. They had a large variety of popsicles which we didn't try. I would consider getting the menudo when we come another time. Service was good, friendly.“

“We've been meaning to stop into Federico's ever since they took over the space from Three Stacks...a place we loved (and continue to love) which is now at the Embarcadero. We weren't sure how this restaurant would do in the space and feel that the location is pretty poor (IMO) for a restaurant. Boy are we glad we finally got around to going and hope that they do well and flourish. Here is what we noticed:- You order at the counter, and they bring you food to your table based on your number. The menu is extensive and, while we weren't drinking that night (since we had just come from Three Stacks), there is a good selection of beers and wines.- There is a good mix of high top (which we prefer) and regular tables, as well as outdoor seating. A heater or two outside would be nice for them to consider.- We started with the Guac and Chips...loved it! The Guac was different than usual...seemed to have more cilantro taste, which was a pleasant change from most places.- I ordered the Soft Shell Crab tacos, and they came with a side of beans and white rice. I had agreed to share meals with my wife and almost regretted it, because I really could have devoured the tacos myself they were so good. I found the white rice an odd choice at first until the sauce from the tacos dripped into it...wow! The beans were great too...not your routine pinto beans.- My wife got the Chili Relleno meal, which was really good too. It came with homemade tortillas and the traditional rice and beans, but both were really great too!Bottom line: We used to go to Taco Temple and they're still good, but this food is in a different league. We'll definitely be back!“
