Ordered food, given a device that buzzed when our food was ready. Our food was so fresh, hot off the grill. She provided extra spice and chilies, sauce to increase the heat. Excellent quality. The Tom Kha soup had a slightly different taste than we are use to, but not a bad variation. Wife got the fried rice with shrimp, I got the Pad Thai with chicken. The 3 items were very filling. The open venue with long tables, couches, etc for seating and large roll-up windows provided the indoor/outdoor environment. Very enjoyable meal.”

“This is such a great little place. If you want to come somewhere that there's no judgment, good beer, good people, this is your spot. It's out of the way which has its pluses and minuses. It's truly a microbrewery almost a nano brewery. My favorites are the Irish Red and the Irish Stout. There is occasionally a pale or a blonde that can't be passed up.”

“Located inside the food hub. Let me tell you I ordered the shrimp plate (north shore butter garlic) they offer, I believe 3 different shrimp plates. BUT north shore butter garlic was fuegoooo! ?? Sooo yummy literally reminded me of Giovanni’s shrimp truck on north shore! I will continue to come back and buy this plate. The Mac salad I feel is the best Mac salad In SD & trust I’ve eaten at a lot of plate lunch spots (seasoned good, not too much mayo, nice and cold.) The cashier who helped me was so polite , they ran out of lemons and she apologized for that and offered me limes (which I don’t mind at all, I actually prefer limes over Lemons.) The plate had so much food on it I ended up splitting it with my husband. He said “ it’s very simple & just like the shrimp from the north shore.”He also said ask for extra garlic paste/sauce on the rice (if you can) he enjoyed that little touch with the furikake too. Anyways it’s a cute little spot. Definitely recommend. Oh when you go , not during lunch rush or dinner, the hub has a lot of seating. Incase this is your first time going don’t worry if it’s crowded the food places inside give you a little buzzer so when your food is ready it beeps to let you know so you don’t have to actually stand by the booth that you order at and you can walk around to see what other places offer as well or take a seat while you wait.”

“Went there today! Ordered the #6 Samoan corn beef which it wasn’t more like Libby’s can brand! Can tell your difference. It was so dry and little to no onions. So disappointing.. ordered 3 containers of poke and it was all packed in a flimsy, cheap plastic bag. It broke underneath the bag grabbing it from the handle picking it up from the car floor. Thankfully and luckily the containers of poke didn’t open, that smell would not have been great at all! The poke was great closest thing we have here in SD compared to back home in Hawaii. Would not recommend the #6 but poke yes!”

Recommended flavors in no particular order are spicy, soy garlic, yangnyeom (seems to be a wonderful balance of spicy and soy garlic with a bit of sweet), and their plain (no sauce) shows just how masterful they are at their primary product. Wings, dummies, strips. It's all good. Great for takeout or dine in. They have some unique spirits and cocktails as well.”

“We went here for the first time yesterday for lunch. The line was out the door, which meant it had to be tasty! We ordered pork adobo, chicken teriyaki, pancit, and lumpia. They gave us two free cups of soup too! Oh my goodness was this food heavenly! The servings were enormous! The pork melted in my mouth. The teriyaki was so tender. The lumpia was divine and the pancit was amazing (I had never tried pancit before). The servers were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I most definitely will return and I encourage everyone to eat here.”

“Loved it! Went earlier today and I ordered an iced latte and 6 pack of filled malasadas. My coffee was great, far better than other coffee shops I’ve tried in National City, and was made surprisingly quick. The malasadas were warm and fresh, but some of the fillings were a little too artificial to my liking. Service was also great, the young girl at the front definitely gave off that Aloha vibe, and guided me through the menu as I was a little confused at first. Got my malasadas within 15 minutes, would recommend.”

“Craft beer places are a dime a dozen in SD, but I knew after one visit that Machete is easily going to become a favorite water hole to visit when I am in the mood for a good variety of craft beer. They have a bunch of different styles, and a selection of beers from breweries that I either haven't heard of or never tasted before. Love that. It gets boring seeing the same 3-4 breweries at every place that offers craft beer in SD.Vibe is super chill, casual and divey.Staff here is really nice. I didn't get his name, but he let me try a few different beers and gave great recommendations based on the styles I like.No food here, but the Papi’s Teppanyaki food truck is here from time to time. Check their IG for their schedule. Not sure if there are ever other options since I only recently found out about this place.Cheers!Edit: I came back a second time and the super cool bartender's name is Jett. If you come in on a day he's manning the bar, you're in great hands. :)

Urger I had a gift card with enough on it that red Robin gave me months prior due to a screw up back in Arizona but the mgr had sent me a virtual card months before I saved it for Ron's bday so I the bill for this birthday was the goat of 2 sodas and a tip for the waiter total of 7.45 to or the drinks and 10 to or the waiter tipping him 22 percent of the whole bill so along with Ron's free burger my gift card for 20 bucks we had a night out for his birthday for less than I could made two tv dinners thank you red Robin for being their for Ron's day and night out we appreciate everything you did to make his night incredible we see u ass gain in July for my birthday hands down best birthday in awhile cheers July 4 we be back thanks again

They were delicious ? my only suggestion is to add a bit more of the toppings, they were very light on the toppings. I don't think many people know this place is here! If more people knew about this place it would be crowded! It's definitely hidden in plain sight gem! We can't wait to go back and try more flavors! The Oriental Cafe offers generous portions for generous prices and unless you've fasted the whole day you will be bringing home Leftovers.
The staff is friendly and efficient as they tend to the constant flow of customers that filled the humble establishment.
Some may take mark down this Cafe for its simplistic decor; but others, like myself, find it charming. And after trying their dishes, it only adds delight to find a nice whole in the wall that let's their dishes speak for themselves.
I recommend dining in because you will get a serving of their egg drop soup and it is absolutely worth trying. It's hearty flavor reminds you of the soup you wish you had on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather.
This is an establishment that deserves its business and I am already planning on coming back and bringing more family to experience it themselves.”
